    • Neuranium Liner - Installed within the host platform itself, the neuranium liner does nothing to hide the host’s sensor signature, but it does prevent sensor pulses from penetrating the hull, thereby concealing the nature of its operator(s), armament, defenses, cargo, and other miscellaneous systems.
    • Decoy Flares - Briefly emit bait heat and energy/electromagnetic signatures which are engineered to replicate the host craft’s drive signature and can even be set to match the host craft’s speed, in an attempt to decoy an incoming IR-guided missile.
    • All-Aspect Countermeasure Nano Missiles
      • Pink Vapor - Nano missiles loaded with a small payload of Pink Vapor, can be set to detonate on manual operator command, automatic computer brain activation, on impact, or at a set time, releasing a burst of gas which can dissipate energy weapons’ fire.
      • Nagnol Gas - Nano missiles loaded with a small payload of Nagnol Gas, can be set to detonate on manual operator command, automatic computer brain activation, on impact, or at a set time, releasing a burst of gas which can disrupt sensory equipment.
      • Warhead Seeker - Similar to antimissile octets in function, anti-missile nanomissiles are designed to intercept and detonate incoming missiles before they reach the host craft.
STRENGTHS
  • Intelligence - The oversight computer brain is very intelligent and is capable of making snap decisions with data from its own sensors and that of the host craft. There are situations where it will choose not to intercept a missile if it is close to friendly assets, to allow them time to escape its blast radius. Alternatively, it may also choose when to intercept an incoming warhead, in order to mitigate damage. These are only two out of countless examples of the circumstances and decisions it can operate within under chaotic battlespace conditions.
  • Speed - The countermeasure nano missiles have a very high speed almost by necessity, allowing them to intercept especially fast projectiles before they can reach their target. They are also capable of executing sharp maneuvers to keep up with evasive warheads.
  • Tractor Beams - The shearing plane allows the host unit to evade and escape from tractor beam locks with reliable effectiveness.
  • Information Denial - While it doesn’t block the host unit from showing up on sensors or scanners, the neuranium liner prevents sensor pulses from penetrating the hull, thereby robbing a potentially hostile actor the ability to fully analyze the host’s capabilities before an engagement.
WEAKNESSES
  • Ammunition - Only so many countermeasure nano missiles, flares, and chaff charges can be ferried into battle at a time. Once they are out, the pilot(s) and/or crew will be forced to rely on maneuvers and other means to evade incoming missiles.
  • Electronic Warfare - Jamming beams can diminish the effectiveness of the FAE/S-03, especially if the host lacks a robust electronics suite capable of filtering out or negating jamming signatures.
  • Surge - While the the FAE/S-03’s robustness ultimately relies on the host unit’s defenses, EMP/Ion-based assaults can potentially disable or diminish the module to varying degrees, depending on the power quotient, proximity of the initial discharge to the host craft, along with a multitude of other factors.
  • Area of Effect - Intercepting and detonating missiles with a large area-of-effect can be risky. If the warhead is not intercepted early enough or is close to the host craft by the time it is intercepted, it could very well be caught within the missile’s blast radius. Furthermore, any friendly fighters which are close by could also be caught within the explosion.
DESCRIPTION
A basic suite of countermeasures designed to be integrated with various small craft, vehicles, and other platforms, the FAE/S-03 Inclusive Countermeasure Module is a less demanding system than a full electronic warfare suite, making it ideal for inclusion in most small craft designs. Functioning primarily as a warhead countermeasure, the FAE/S-03 also includes a number of utility systems to counter tractor beams and to deny information to a potential enemy prior to an engagement by preventing sensor pulses from penetrating the hull of the host unit.

Ultimately, the FAE/S-03 is hoped to become a basic staple system to refit current designs and build future ones.
