Holly Starstorm is an investigative journalist and field correspondent for the Holo News Network (HNN), one of the galaxy's premier news organizations. Based on Coruscant, she covers stories from across the galaxy, earning a reputation for thorough reporting, professionalism, and a calm presence in even the most chaotic situations.
Born and raised on Corellia, Holly was the middle of three daughters. Her childhood was forever changed when her younger sister was abducted under mysterious circumstances. The tragedy devastated her family, driving a wedge between her parents that eventually led to their divorce. Holly's older sister chose to live with their father, a police officer, while Holly remained with her mother. Although the family never truly recovered from the loss, the experience instilled in Holly a deep belief that people deserved to know the truth, no matter how difficult it might be.
While attending public school on Corellia, Holly discovered her passion for broadcasting through her school's media program. She excelled as an audio field reporter and camera operator before expanding her skills into audio and holo-video editing. She eventually produced her own fashion-focused program for the school's holo network, gaining early recognition for both her technical ability and engaging presentation style.
After graduating, Holly enrolled at Coronet City University, where she double majored in Holo Broadcasting and Journalism. During her university years, she created several successful audio programs, produced holo news segments and documentaries, and continued refining her investigative reporting skills.
While still attending university, Holly began writing for The Coronet Times, a respected local publication serving Coronet City. Her reporting quickly distinguished her among the paper's staff, earning multiple awards for excellence in holo journalism. After several successful years covering local and planetary news, Holly set her sights on a larger stage.
Seeking to tell stories that mattered on a galactic scale, Holly accepted a position with the Holo News Network on Coruscant. Today, she travels throughout the galaxy covering everything from political developments and humanitarian crises to major cultural events, always striving to report with accuracy, integrity, and compassion.
