Private HNN - 60 Holo Minutes - The Future of The Galactic Alliance

Location: HNN Headquarters - Ground Floor TV Studio

LIVE:

“Good evening! This is Holly Starstorm reporting for HoloNet News! Tonight we bring you a Sixty Holo Minute Exclusive with Master Valery Noble, who will be joining us to discuss the end of the Second Hyperspace War and the future direction of The Galactic Alliance. You wont want to miss this special exclusive tonight on HNN!”

NOT LIVE:

Holly was reading her notes and trying her best to ignore the tech crew buzzing around. This became difficult when a young intern started trying to fasten a microphone to the front of her blazer, but kept dropping the mic in the process.

“Oh for Force sake! Let me do it!” She grabbed the mic and clipped it on in an irritated fashion, then felt guilty as the tech muttered an apology.

“No no I am sorry. Look has Master Noble made it to the studio yet?”

Valery let out a soft sigh and ran through everything in her mind again. She had never been nervous leading Jedi into battle or even guiding an entire Order worth of them. But something about stepping in front of a camera on live Holo-tv was still strange to her. Every move she made would be watched, and everything she said would be overanalyzed. She didn't like this kind of spotlight, but she understood that citizens of the Alliance were interested in hearing what she had to say.

So with some encouragement from Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble and her daughter Vera, Valery stepped inside the studio. She was still wearing her typical Jedi attire, although her pregnancy would likely not allow it for much longer. The triplets were already having an effect on her body, and it showed.

"Mrs. Starstorm?" Valery asked, as she approached the familiar woman. "It's good to see you again." There was some relief behind the smile she offered. An interview like this was much easier with a familiar face.

"I'm ready to get started, but I-" she stopped, as an intern answered her question by moving over and strapping a microphone to her.

She was ready for this interview.

With everything set to go Holly waited for the floor manager to give her the signal and then they were off.

LIVE:

“I’m Holly Starstorm and today we have a special treat on Sixty Holo Minutes! We are joined today by Jedi Master Valery Noble but what Master Noble doesn’t know is that she isn’t the only Jedi master joining us today! None other than the new shield of the Jedi, Master Kahlil Noble has agreed to join his wife on stage! Let’s make him feel welcome!”

The studio audience clapped and the camera panned over to show the surprise guest walking onto set, where a tech had added a seat quick as a flash.

Well this was a surprise. And he couldn't resist the chance to make it one for Valery too. He stepped out, dressed as a typical Jedi would be. The usual robes, anyway. He probably should've asked Valery for what outfit was a best fit for this kind of thing, but he didn't. Wanted to keep the surprise. Kahlil smiled and waved before taking his seat, flashing Valery quite the grin in the process. Then.. Just sat there.

This was the kind of thing where he answered questions, right?

What?

It was already surprising to her that another Jedi would be joining, but her husband? Valery could not hide the surprise from her eyes, and turned to look at him as he entered the studio. That grin...she knew he enjoyed these types of things, and especially her reaction to them. Luckily, the cameras were fixed on him while she narrowed her eyes just a little.

<Love...> She communicated telepathically through their bond with a gentle smirk. Valery was of course happy to see him, but it was too amusing to not squint just a little.

"Thank you for inviting both of us," Valery began once the applause had quieted down a little. "And such a lovely surprise, too." She chuckled and placed a hand on Kahlil's leg, before she gently squeezed it.

Valery had to resist the urge to snicker — Kahlil was never one to talk about himself or his family at great lengths. She could appreciate it quite a lot because their family has been threatened countless times. But right now? Well, they were supposed to talk about themselves at least a little bit, before addressing the Alliance's future.

The topic that she suspected he'd want to say a lot more about.

"Well," Valery began, now with a loving smirk at her husband. "We have expanded our family now that this war is behind us. Triplets weren't exactly what we expected, but we wouldn't have it any other way." The kids were just so special to them both, and it always showed in her smile when she talked about her family.

He really didn't like talking about himself.

Valery met his gaze and shot him a knowing grin. Of course, he was downplaying the importance of it, but Valery didn't mind talking about her husband's accomplishments at all. She was proud to have him as her partner for life, and it showed in everything. From the way she looked at him, to the way she talked about him.

"My husband has joined the Council as the order's new Shield of the Jedi," Valery clarified for the viewers. "A role that is assigned not by fellow Jedi, but by the Force. A true protector and embodiment of the Jedi's philosophy." She didn't want to make it sound too braggy, but she was clearly a little proud.

"But he's right in a way. Titles or ranks ultimately don't matter. What's most important is how we go into the future as Jedi now that the war with the Maw is over."
