-
STRENGTHS
❂ Skilled sniper.
❂ Highly experienced duellist.
❂ Highly experienced starship commander.
❂ Specialist in Force Protection (full-body damage prevention or mitigation).
❂ Robust materials alchemist who can make her own Sith swords at a high level (e.g. Jentaral). For anything more ambitious than that, she goes to Dissero or Azel Moran.
❂ Her current body (since 864 ABY) is a Mesinis'Kaita shapeshifter: fast, flexible, stealthy, long-lived, and capable of seeing beyond the visible spectrum.
❂ Highly experienced with Sith Poison, having been infected by five separate variants in the 820s and 830s.
❂ Highly skilled at short-term memory enhancement; see corresponding weakness.
❂ Highly skilled with Force Drain; see corresponding weakness.
❂ Highly experienced ritualist.
WEAKNESSES
❂ Poor pilot. Can operate a freighter or helm a capital ship, but hasn't flown a starfighter in decades and was never very good at it.
❂ Struggles with Force senses; chose power over sensitivity/insight a long time ago.
❂ Memory issues due to taking a new body (and brain, of course) multiple times. Often relies on short-term memory enhancement, a longtime favorite technique.
❂ Addicted to Force Drain since the 830s, sometimes causing issues for allies or other unintended consequences.
❂ Her current body (since 864 ABY) is a Mesinis'Kaita shapeshifter: somewhat fragile, low endurance, vulnerable to sudden flashes of bright light.
❂ Ashin is cursed: though she has used the ability called transfer essence half a dozen times, it will never work for her again.
❂ Ashin is cursed: she has intruded too often on the Drengir Root-Mind and killed far too many Drengir, and they always find her if she stays in one place for too long.
-
❂ The ancient symbol that Naga Sadow took after becoming Dark Lord - three points projecting left and right on either side of a circle - is tattooed on Ashin's sternum. The mark is a blood trail from Spencer. Ashin has worn the mark across multiple bodies for three decades.
❂ Ashin is now a limited shapeshifter who takes a variety of faces. However, the sternum tattoo is deeper magic and remains from guise to guise.
❂ Dark Side corruption has left Ashin ashen. Across multiple bodies, she has lost fingernails and her eyes have often turned an unnatural Bando Gora blue. To pass unnoticed, she often wears dark glasses or colored contact lenses.
❂ In the course of her quest to resurrect her wife, Ashin sacrificed her left hand to Faenrovon the Radiant at Grievous' castle, and has a distinctive prosthesis.
❂ Each new body accumulates wear and tear. In her current form, Ashin has plenty of scars, all relatively small by her standards. She has scars from the crystal spinners of the Bone Orchard and giant hunter droids, as well as the destruction of her personal ship. -
TRUSTED
❂ Spencer Varanin, Ashin's former apprentice, former master, and wife since 835 ABY. They have three daughters: Ibaris, Quinn, and Noelle.
❂ Lord Dissero, perhaps the galaxy's greatest alchemist and a longtime friend of the family.
❂ Seydon Gunn, a former enemy, then an assistant on the quest to resurrect Spencer in 864 ABY.
❂ Kaalia Pavanos, who also assisted with the resurrection quest.
❂ Ijaat Mereel, who assisted with the resurrection quest, and whom Ashin resurrected as practice.
❂ Sargon Vynea, the team conscience in the Fringe days, who reunited with Ashin and Spencer in the Netherworld.
❂ Avalore, Ashin's former apprentice.
❂ Lord Saavat Kishan, a poisoner, a fellow instructor on the Pomojema until the early 900s.
❂ Lord Azel Moran, an alchemist, a fellow instructor on the Pomojema until the early 900s.
❂ Jaccath, a Massassi tattoo artist and Ashin's pilot in the early 900s.
DUBIOUS
❂ Darth Voyance, whose life Ashin saved in return for siphoning the power of Voyance's pain.
❂ The Worm Emperor, Voyance's rival, who gave Ashin the location of a critical Netherworld rift in return for a year's service (which took place in the mid 860s).
❂ Taeli Raaf/Darth Arcanix, an alchemist and at one point a fellow instructor on the Pomojema.
❂ Kal of Kaas, a Force entity who provided her current body. -
Ashin has been collecting sniper rifles and comparable weapons for decades, and has appropriate training and experience. Though she is not the equal of a career sniper at a technical level, the Force enhances her aim in various ways, and she uses her collection frequently in combat.

When using several of these weapons, Ashin relies on additional gear: a DNK0 Spotter Droid and an Anticoncussion Shoulder Pad.
To supplement her crusade to resurrect her wife in 864 ABY, she contracted Rusty's Custom Arms and Armament to build a solution that lets her slugthrowers or mass drivers damage Force entities. She appreciated this greatly. -
Ashin has had several signature weapons and suits of armor over her long career.
❂ Her first lightsaber, destroyed during the Netherworld Crisis in 844 ABY, later rebuilt, owned by her daughter Quinn.
❂ The armor Contempt, which she once traded to the master alchemist Warren Valik and later reclaimed. Contempt has the effect of making her Force signature impossible to recognize as hers. She wore it as Empress and has reserved it for ceremonial use ever since.
❂ The sword Winterlight, lost in the late 830s after she was deposed as Empress.
❂ The sword Ravening, used in the 830s and 840s, then put in storage for specialized use.
❂ Her second lightsaber, constructed in 844 ABY and later given to Quinn.
❂ Her phrik armor, worn at need since the 840s.
❂ Her Naboo expeditionary suit, worn at need since the 850s.
❂ The short sword Jentaral, carried at need since the 850s.
❂ The mace Khovesk, carried at need since the 860s.
❂ The mace Kotsirluuk, carried at need since the 860s.
❂ The mask of Anger, worn regularly with a black armorweave robe since the late 850s.
