OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: Late middle age
  • Force Sensitivity: Master
  • Species: Stennes Shifter (secretly - passes as undifferentiated humanoid)
  • Appearance: Master Kishan presents as a generic humanoid in glossy black Sith armor and tasteful, understated overrobes. He rarely removes his helmet.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Saavat Kishan
  • Loyalties: The Aksifas ('Golden Sith'), Warlords of the Sith
  • Wealth: Master Kishan has poisoned more than a few of his enemies and accrued their possessions. He's quite wealthy.
  • Notable Possessions: A truly mindboggling collection of poisons and venoms, particularly those derived from Sithspawn.
  • Skills: Biological alchemy, poisoning, species-based Force ability to pass unnoticed
  • Personality: Master Kishan's rage is ever-present but silent and patient. His drive is extremely focused: he only cares for power and ambition so far as they harm and hurt the Jedi. He has gladly bowed to many leaders who pursue this goal. Pride and recognition are unnecessary at best, obstacles to efficiency at worst. He prizes his privacy. It's widely believed, and mostly accurate, that you can get Master Kishan to do basically anything if you bring him a Jedi to kill.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: All manner of toxins, particularly biological poisons and venoms. Master Kishan carries a lightsaber; he favors Ataru. He also carries at least one Burning Shikkar containing whatever unpleasant substance catches his fancy.
  • Combat Function: Master Kishan can defend himself well and long enough to escape from any given engagement - or bring poisons to bear. In pitched battle he uses targeted toxins, sometimes in darts or clouds, to support more direct combatants. However, his true utility is more strategic than tactical: poisoning enemy consumables, for example. He rarely appears in battle.
Strengths:
  • Superb poison and venom specialist
  • Skilled biological alchemy instructor
  • Skilled at passing unnoticed by various means
Weaknesses:
  • Definitely not a front-line combatant
  • Singlemindedness - to him, the only worthwhile enemies are the Jedi
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Almost six thousand years ago, the Jedi Order fought a genocidal war against the Stennes Shifters and nearly eradicated them. The Shifters remember, and Master Kishan took that memory one step farther. By exploration and meditation on Stennaros, he gained a relatively complete picture of that ancient war. All Stennes Shifters are Force-sensitive, and Master Kishan has far more potential than most. Throughout his youth, he experienced visions of the Jedi slaughtering his ancestors. He began to harbor a deliberate hatred for the Jedi in all their incarnations.

As a young man, he joined the Sith Empire during the era of Emperor Moridin and Empress Ashin Varanin. He strongly supported Varanin's march down the Perlemian to finally engage with the Republic. When the Dark Council betrayed and apparently murdered Varanin at the Battle of Roche, Kishan stayed with the Sith Empire. He defended it gleefully during its long defeat at the Republic's hands. He didn't particularly care about the Empire's fall. He did, however, appreciate the chance to kill Jedi, or turn them with Sith Poison.

In later years, he fell in with the One Sith and spent considerable time bolstering the innate poisons and venoms of their Sithspawn. He greatly admired their purge of the Core and the extensive Jedi casualties resulting therefrom. After the One Sith broke apart, he ultimately decided not to join the Sith Empire due to what he perceived as its lack of vision - its unwillingness to pursue open war with the Jedi. In time his stance solidified into contempt.

Now a Dark Lord in his own right, he encountered Varanin again in 854 ABY. He'd been aware for some time that she survived Roche. He was wary of rumors that she'd become a Jedi again at some point over the decades, but her vision of a high-quality Sith academy resonated with his desire to cause more destruction among the Jedi. She hooked him with the promise that he was more than welcome to push his agenda on any and all students and instructors, doing his best to shape the next Sith discourse. He also participated in, and greatly appreciated, her resurrection of the ancient Breath of Ash ritual among the Warlords of the Sith. Though Varanin does not have his personal loyalty - nobody does - the arrangement suits him.

Very nice, just one thing:
