  • Battlecruiser: The Victator-class is a powerful ship all around, with powerful weapons that make it a heavy-hitting flagship of any respectable fleet. It's armament
  • Our Defense is Impenetrable: The Victator-class is designed to be a state-of-the-art ship of the line and flagship of most fleets it operates in; with that in mind, it is designed to be able to take a heavy beating without any real punishment. A good portion of its defenses are dedicated to a variety of point-defense technologies to make up for its smaller-than-average fighter complement, and that combined with powerful shielding, electronic countermeasures, jammers, and strong hull materials, the Victator-class is near impregnable. In addition, a coating of anti-sensor bandorium on the Victator-class's hull, as well as an MXC-T22 Oberyn Stealth Shroud, makes it harder for scanners and sensors to lock on, especially when at longer ranges.
  • Automated and Efficient: The Victator-class is a highly-automated ship, severely reducing the organic crew requirements to run and maintain the ship.
WEAKNESSES
  • Exposed Bridge: The central command structure of the Victator is at an elevated position. While this is no means a flimsy or inherently weak structure by itself, it can be precisely targeted by those who know the schematics of the battlecruiser.
  • Weapon Angles: The placement of the various firing arcs of the Victator-class's armaments result in several 'blind spots,' the most notable being directly behind the aft engines of the battlecruiser.
  • Not a Carrier: The Victator-class has a smaller-than-average starfighter compliment.
DESCRIPTION
The Victator-class Battlecruiser is the next-generation, mainline battlecruiser destined to serve as the flagship of various Confederacy fleet formations.

Named after the CNS Victator, Invictus-class Battlecruiser, the Victator-class is meant to pay homage to it's famous namesake that sacrificed itself over Talay to stop the momentum of a terrorist incursion. Not only was the Victator a fitting namesake because of its history, it's existence as an Invictus-class Battlecruiser, the previous mainline battlecruiser of the Confederacy, makes the Victator-class a fitting name to carry on the legacy of Confederate naval prowess.

While the history behind the naming of the Victator-class is certainly rich, it does not mean that the battlecruiser does not stand on its own as a ship-of-the-line. It has a respectable armament that is able to single handedly take on entire fleets with the armament it boasts of on its own. Not only that, but it's defenses combined create a ship that by its own is an entire attack fleet, with a combination of point-defenses, shields, and stealth systems that together create a ship boasted of being impregnable. On top of that, it has an average speed and maneuverability, making it able to perform standard maneuvers and ensuring it's not just a dead hunk of metal floating in space.

Although it has many strengths, the Victator-class is not without its weaknesses. The battlecruiser has several 'blind spots' in which the arcs of the ship's weapon emplacements are unable to fire -- the most notable of these being the area of space directly behind the aft propulsion units of the massive ship. The battlecruiser also has a smaller-than-average starfighter complement, which can put it at a tactical disadvantage in some situations.

However, the Victator-class will be an honor to the legacy of its namesake and to the naval history of the Confederacy as a whole. And, it will usher in a new and more glorious future of peace through strength, and victory through might.
