SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Valentine point-defense octet features a fast-reload system that allows for volley after volley to be fired from the octet at a constant rate.
  • The Valentine point-defense octet can interface with a ship's targeting sensors and be remotely controlled from a separate (but nearby) location.
  • The Valentine point-defense octet can be armed with virtually any sort of anti-fighter/point-defense ordnance, although this does not extend to larger anti-capital missiles.
  • The total storage of the Valentine point-defense octet is variable and can be adjusted per a ship's design.
STRENGTHS
  • Efficient Reload and Storage: The Valentine point-defense octet can quickly and efficiently reload missiles, allowing for faster rates of fire. The storage of the octet is also dependent on the ship's storage capabilities, making it more modular for a ship's design.
  • Let's See Them Targets: The Valentine point-defense octet can interface with a ship's targeting systems and be remotely controlled from a nearby location, increasing variability and convenience of where the octet can be placed.
  • Flexible: The Valentine point-defense octet can be outfitted with nearly any type of anti-starfighter missile or torpedo.
WEAKNESSES
  • Only Point-Defense, Please: The Valentine is designed to be a point-defense octet, and thus it performs very poorly against larger capital ships. In addition, the Valentine is non-compatible with larger anti-capital missiles.
  • Fixed Position: The Valentine octet is set in a fixed position which limits its targeting capabilities to a certain extent.
  • One at a Time: Although it can be loaded with different types of missiles, each octet can only be outfitted with one type of missile at a time.
DESCRIPTION
Designed to be a quick, fast-firing point-defense octet, the LS2 Valentine is Roble Manufacturing's second iteration of a missile launcher. Compared to the Hailfire, the Valentine is much more smaller than it's companion missile launcher, yet perhaps that is the point of the design. Able to fire a variety of point-defense missiles and ordnances, it overcomes it's disadvantage as a fixed emplacement with its fast-reload system and flexibility of what types of ordances can be loaded into the launcher. Able to fire off whatever type of anti-fighter missile in a quick, damaging salvo, the octet is a lethal point-defense weapon that when placed properly can do loads of damage against an enemy ship.
