  • Defensive Bulwark: Though possessing no offensive weaponry, the Malsheem is a massive superstation capable of weathering all but the most devastating of bombardments. Multiple layer shielding, as well as extremely thick armor plating, ensures that the Malsheem's interior is not so easily compromised. Compiled with these various defenses was an elaborate laser web grid that covered the entire surface of Malsheem. When activated, arcing energy beams would connect between two emitters in random patterns. These beams were powerful enough to destroy small ships such as starfighters.
  • Near-Infinite Energy: Malsheem was constructed with the most advanced and revolutionary energy generation technologies known throughout the galaxy, allowing the gargantuan worldcraft to operate its millions of systems and sub-systems indefinitely. The maintenance of these generators was highly prioritized.
  • Mobile Capital: Unlike planetary capitals, the capital of the Kainate could move anywhere in the galaxy at the behest of its rulers. This enabled the Kainate to spread far across the galaxy without worrying about system allegiance or infrastructure, as Malsheem came equipped with everything the Kainate needed to sustain itself indefinitely regardless of the shifting political and economic situation of the galaxy.
  • Self-Sufficient: Malsheem was designed to be entirely self-sufficient, and was equipped with molecular furnaces, various automated construction facilities, agricultural biomes, production lines, shipyards, army training grounds, and even R&D laboratories. This allowed the worldcraft to be completely detached from any sort of supply chain, allowing the inhabitants of Malsheem to experience the highest expression of economic autarky.

  • No Capital Weaponry: The internal mechanisms of Malsheem were wired towards production and defense rather than attack, and thus the station maintained no offensive capital-grade weaponry. While it did possess a thick defensive screen of anti-starfighter lasers and point-defense turrets, they were ineffectual against larger ships. Smaller ships, such as starfighters and freighters, would find any offensive approach vector waylaid by the station's myriad of defenses.
  • Prodigious Size: The sheer size of Malsheem can work against it, making it impossible to maneuver stealthily in sub-space and enticing enemies to target it over smaller vessels. Though defended by a myriad of anti-starfighter weaponry, larger ships could largely ignore these defenses and close the distance between themselves and the worldcraft. The interior of Malsheem was likewise enormous and labyrinthine, making it a chore for both attacker and defender to maneuver large forces over long distances.
  • Volatile Energy: The energy generation technology onboard Malsheem was highly advanced but also highly volatile and experimental, any mistake in the handling or stability of these energies could lead to a catastrophic systems failure. Only the most skilled technicians were permitted to operate these systems, with dozens of safeguards put in place to both monitor and manage any lapse in the containment procedures.
  • Slow Hyperdrive: Malsheem, while possessing many state-of-the-art production systems, had to settle for a class 10 hyperdrive to propel it through hyperspace. While this is incredibly slow, the Malsheem itself isn't expected to move very often.
Strand-Cast Cloning Creches

During the age of the early Sith Empire, the Dark Lord Voracitos composed many designs for large-scale functional superweapons. Many of these designs were ultimately rejected or never completed, Voracitos' successor Emperor Ardik opting to dismantle the failed projects and repurpose the harvested material. Only one was spared from Ardik's dismantling project, taken by Kaine Zambrano and transferred to the planet Thule. Over the course of several years, the project would gradually continue as Lord Zambrano diverted resources from other sectors of the Empire to Thule. This was done in secret to bypass the bureaucracy of the Empire and to keep Emperor Adikos, and later Emperor Lussk, ignorant of his ambitions.

When the project was on the verge of discovery by his enemies, Lord Zambrano launched a coup against Emperor Lussk and defeated the Sith Lord in a Kaggath on Dromund Kaas. Shattering the Emperor's body over his knee, Lord Zambrano proclaimed himself Emperor and consolidated power in the Empire within himself. Now the ruler of the Empire, Zambrano accelerated his plans while dispatching Sith Lords and Imperial Officers who had stood in favor of Emperor Lussk to the Empire's borders and away from the center of power. This would ultimately allow the Galactic Republic and the Jedi to learn of the project through disaffected Imperials and spiteful Sith, spiraling into a war between the Empire and the Republic.

Realizing that Thule was too vulnerable, Emperor Zambrano had the project relocated to Mon Cala. Even as Thule and Dromund Kaas fell to a surprise incursion by the Mandalorian Clans, the Emperor remained fixated on his project and did not leave Mon Cala as it progressed. Only after the fall of Saleucami did the Emperor finally act, ordering his project moved into the Void of Chopani to hide it under the supervision of Darth Prazutis. After the Empire's defeat on Ossus, the Emperor lured Republic forces to Mon Cala to protect the movement of his secret project. Ultimately, the Emperor would face the combined might of the Jedi Council on Mon Cala and be defeated. In chains, Zambrano would be sequestered on a Republic cruiser en route for Coruscant to stand trial.

Before he could be taken to Coruscant, Zambrano was freed by members of the elusive One Sith. In exchange for freedom, Zambrano pledged himself to the One Sith and was given a new name; Darth Vornskr. Now free, Vornskr returned to the Void of Chopani to reunite with Darth Prazutis and reacquire their project. The project remained hidden from the rest of the galaxy, bouncing around different uncharted systems on the edge of the Unknown Region. Each system the project was moved to was stripped of resources until nothing remained but useless rock. It wasn't until Vornskr discovered the lost Sith world of Tantorus and was given a Wayfinder by the Sith elders that he discovered the lost world of Exegol and moved the project in orbit of the dead planet.

While exploring Exegol with Darth Prazutis, Vornskr uncovered a hidden chamber riddled with ancient Sith runes. Though most of these runes were illegible, there was one word that stood out to both of them. Taking this as an omen, Vornskr and Prazutis gave their project a new name; Malsheem. Fortune again struck Darth Vornskr as he was named Voice of the Unknown Regions by the Dark Lord of the One Sith, given unparalleled control and authority over the vast untamed region. He used this authority to scout out worlds rich and resources, untapped by the rest of the galaxy, and strip them bare to fuel his great project. He was aided in this endeavor by the nomadic Attendants, who shared their knowledge of the Unknown Regions with Vornskr and became his permanent guides.

The war between the One Sith and the Galactic Republic allowed Vornskr to collect more resources for Malsheem. Whenever a world would fall to the One Sith, Vornskr would requisition its resources and transfer them to Exegol. Any new technological advancement made by the One Sith or stolen from the Republic was added to Malsheem, continuously updating to ensure that it remained cutting-edge. It was during the war that Vornskr met Taeli Raaf, a disillusioned Jedi Master who sought greater power and knowledge. Together they struck a bargain and became stalwart allies. Through their partnership, they would pioneer new and greater forms of cloning and automation.

When the One Sith collapsed, Malsheem had to be moved from Exegol to another dead world known as Remnicore, far in Wild Space beyond the boundaries of the Outer Rim. There, construction continued as the Sith reorganized themselves into a new Sith Empire based on the fortress world of Bastion with Vornskr, who had renamed himself Darth Carnifex, as the Dark Lord and Emperor. The Empire expanded rapidly, adding more power and influence to the Dark Lords of the Zambrano Dynasty to further their wicked agendas.

To operate the vast station, tens of thousands of families indoctrinated to the Sith were secretly moved to Malsheem to occupy its vast residential wings. There they would remain for the rest of their lives, maintaining the station, and breeding to ensure the continuation of their devout families. The millions who grew up in the sterile halls of Malsheem came to worship Carnifex and Prazutis as living Gods who served the Dark Lords with suicidal loyalty. Bioengineering exo-wombs were installed in the science wings of the station, allowing the Dark Lord to continue producing his strand-cast forces without interruption. To guard Malsheem, the Gelian Sentinels were augmented by these strand-cast soldiers and spread throughout the entire station.

Construction of Malsheem continued through the entirety of the Sith Empire's lifespan, millions of tonnes of raw material and credits funneled from every corner of the Empire to fund the project thanks to Darth Prazutis. Very few of the Empire's ruling elites knew about the project, but those noble families that did know invested heavily towards its completion. For their contributions, they were given the opportunity to settle on Malsheem once it was completed as long as they swore fealty to the Dark Lord. These dozens of families came from nearly every wealthy background; tech magnates, bankers, trade unionists, and criminal kingpins. Not only did they bring their wealth with them to Malsheem, but they also brought the knowledge of their connections across the galaxy.

When the Empire began to falter against the New Imperial onslaught, much of the data existing within the Empire about the Malsheem project was destroyed to prevent any of it from falling into enemy hands. Entire planetary economies were rapidly stripped bare and transferred to the production facilities over Remnicore. Dozens of star systems were left destitute in the wake of this mass reallocation of wealth, with famines and civil unrest quickly following. But, the work continued in secret away from the war-torn sectors of the Tingel Arm. Unknown to the rest of the galaxy, the Dark Lord and his most loyal followers toiled in secret to create their ultimate triumph.

Forty years after construction began, Malsheem would be completed in 874 ABY. Though it bore no capital weaponry, its automated production facilities were powerful enough to fabricate entire fleets and ensure that the Kainate could replenish their strength indefinitely. No longer did the forces of the Dark Lord need to be tied down to any single planetary location, subject to siege and attack. Now they could move unhindered throughout the cosmos, striking at will and reconstituting any loss they suffer. All of the Dark Lord's power was now concentrated into this mobile fortress, a citadel that none could hope to assail.

[member="Darth Carnifex"], this appears to use the civilian station template, which is fine in and of itself.

However, I cannot see a station that explicitly carries four hundred star destroyers to really be a civilian station, especially since we don't allow civilian stations to even carry starfighters because they could be used offensively.

If this going to be carrying warships, we'll need to use the military station template.

If this is going to stay as civilian station, the reference to carrying warships will have to be removed.
