  • The Khatuu-Gul:
    • Could be draped over an individual of any dimension
    • Would constrict into a seemingly airtight seal over the victim's body, painfully immobilizing them
    • Allowed for oxygen to be transferred through the living membrane via osmosis, preventing the victim from asphyxiating
    • Expelled carbon dioxide and other discharged gasses or liquids produced by the victim
    • Could open portions of its membrane in accordance with specific external stimuli, allowing someone to operate or torture the victim on any part of their body

Born from the insidious minds of the Aris-Shelr, amoral Yuuzhan Vong shapers loyal to the Sith, the Khatuu-Gul was bred to serve as an alternative to more mechanical means of immobilization and restraint of prisoners.
The biot consisted of a thin but resilient membrane that was draped over the victim from head to toe, covering their entire body. The membrane would then rapidly constrict over the victim, creating a skin-tight seal while nearly invisible skin-hooks latched onto the victim's skin to painfully immobilize them.
At the distraction of a shaper or similarly skilled individual, portions of the bio could be opened to allow experimentation, surgery, and torture of the entrapped individual.
Though highly resilient, the Khatuu-Gul was not invulnerable and could be killed if exposed to enough damage. However, this ran the risk of hurting the trapped victim in the process.
