SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Terraforming -
    • While the system contains everything a ship or sealed building would require in terms of environmental protection, it goes a step farther in providing compensation for a variety of otherwise dangerous materials often found in facilities. From Toxic Gas like FEX-M3, to the all too common Blackwing now, it can help counter these breaches of containment through its advanced, military grade systems - and one of the few able to truly contain the more dangerous infections, such as the Blackwing Virus.
WEAKNESSES
  • Random Act of Hacking -
    • Just as any electronic system, the 'Terra' is fundamentally at issue with hacking. While it has a number of measures against it, any means of shutting it down from its central core or various connection points could see the entire system shut down at best - and at worst, an entire ship opened directly into a vacumn, killing everyone on board. As such, it is one of the most precarious pieces of the technology, which is why a variety of systems were put onto other technology experts to help subside it. This also applies to direct ion energy blasts that would begin to break down internal electronic systems.
DESCRIPTION

In league with the current goals of Jaeger, the 'Tera' Class Life Support System was created to ensure that Jaeger no longer had to look outside of its close knit network to create its ships. In doing so, they created their own branded stylization of the classical 'life support', and ensured that it would be more effective than the standard equivalents on the market. In this, they have helped create one of the most advanced life support systems the galaxy has known - while keeping it relatively simple.
Able to adapt to any known form of life on the fly, the 'Tera' doesn't see species, race, or even chemical makeup of a creature - as it can on the fly adapt entire rooms environmental systems to the needs of the majority within. Fire suppression systems, any number of automated containment features, the 'Tera' proves itself a strong contender for the new baseline to rate all other systems - but on top of it, it adapts highly advanced technology to otherwise contain and cleanse the air of the terrifyingly hard to quarantine Blackwing Virus. How Jaeger does this is a trade secret, but one of the most known methods is through 'molecular reverse osmosis' to general air particles; allowing it to systematically pick away all the bad air, before releasing it back to recirculation through the rest of the ship.
Overall, the system may suffer from its technical 'weak point' of hacking, and the effect it can have on the crew, but more than that it is a beautiful example of Jaeger's engaging need to push the markets ever forward; and continue its trend of being the Galactic Standard. In this, the 'Tera' provides yet another systems for starship manufacturers and Jaeger's own branded ships - and will see its stock and efforts rise tremendously in the coming months.
