STANDARD FEATURES

ADVANCED SYSTEMS

STRENGTHS
  • Exotic Matter: The ethereal nature of the metal makes it near weightless despite being and looking dense within the pocket dimension of dream. In realspace it can be grasped and there is a steady supply able to be used by Krass. When experimenting with the extent the design that has been refitted.
  • Variable Modes: Designed like old model vulture droids with the ability to switch between fighter and a walker mode. The Atrisian style fighter has been overly engineered to be small, fast and above all able to fulfill a duel role becoming a patrol walker that can chase enemies into space if need be or land and provide their assault corps with reinforcements. Further engineers allows it to function as an additional duel purpose with an unmanned patrol mode and a manned battleframe that lets the pilots have highly capable armor
  • Gyroscopic Cockpit: Designed with a rotating and moving cockpit that keeps the pilot leveled while preforming some of the harder manuvers. The rotating cockpit moves and opens to allow the switching between modes.
  • Cutting Power: Designed to cut at a molecular level and able to go through some of the toughest materials with a slice. Beskar and vong crab armor are rarely an issue and airlocks or viewports prove less of a problem.
  • Advanced Systems: Designed with several notable systems installed on the ships to improve their capabilities and turn the jedi into a needed operational fighter.
    • Saotome Advanced Tracking System: Designed to give hyperspace tracking capabilities to the ships systems.
    • Advanced Whammy Drive: Whammy Drives create an interdicition pulse that can trip the safeties of ships hyperdrives stalling them. They can't keep a fleet from jumping but for a moment those within range of the pulse can be stalled.
    • Saotome Car'das: Designed for micro jumps with high levels of precision and capabilities.
    • Cater Phalanx: Designed to strengthen the shielding of a squadron. A small team can bunch together and project a shield over themselves for additional protection.
    • Laminanium: Designed like a Quellian ship the hull of the orbital platforms has a thin layer of the material to improve repairs and over time depending on the amount of damage it is able to patch itself up.
    • Advanced Hyperdrive: Designed with an experimental hyperdrive that is meant to give them some of the fastest flight times across all of the galaxy.
    • Saotome Rhion: For the more limited production ships, the Rhion can upgrade and repair a ship by grabbing materials and breaking them down.
WEAKNESSES
  • Variable Modes: Designed like vulture droids, the ability to go from flight to walker modes was more invaluable but there is no inbetween mode. The walker cannot fly around in space or a battlefield like a fighter.
  • Directional Weapons: Designed with forward facing weapons creating a heavy amount of blind spots where firing is not possible.
  • Human Pilots: Designed for human or android pilots that have been a big change from vulture droids. This takes away the ability to view them as expendable and pull off the more dangerous moves normal vulture droids could pull off.
  • Engineered: Overly engineered for a low profile, compared to many other fighters it is missing a hyperdrive. This locks the ship into carriers for transport out of the system and prevents it from making jumps within.
  • Maneuverability: To compensate for the much higher levels of speed the ability to turn without shredding the frame gets much harder the faster the ship goes.
DESCRIPTION
Built as a prototype for a second generation of the Kabaneri class fighters, testing out hypercdrives and more experimental weapons. The Western Wolves who are some of the most elite in the military academies were one of the better groups to have test them out. They already have much in the ways of team dynamics and coordination... they have been in the military environment and are considered fiercely loyal to the Emperor and Empress. The Wolf fighters are everything the kabaneri fighter has been with the inclusion of micronized sleg reactors for power generation and turbocharged cannons. Built in hyperdrives that will allow it to leave the system or be used for slash and run attacks against targets. The weapon systems are still largely locked in places and forward facing but with smaller improvements like the inclusion of a microjumping computer and system into the ships so they can become more of a hazard.

The second biggest thing that has been added and improved upon is its patrol mode. Much like the concept of the vulture droid it was based on the battleframe when planet side can enter patrol mode and turn itself into a almost dedicated walker. With its cannons able to be rotated with the gyroscopic torso to let the walker have more area of coverage and turning speed. Its movement is largely heavy and straight more like an AT-ST with its sounding clunky with impact tremors as the weight of the walker is not lessened and its guns adds significant weight. Its weapons are still largely locked into forward position and its engines/flight systems are disabled making it next to impossible to fly while in walker mode. It needs to change into flight mode and has aVTOP style ability to take off from different positions and hover with repulsors for atmospheric flight to prevent ion engine radiation.

With the vast improvements being done to many of the fighters and ships of the Commonwealth.. the elite wolf squadron fighters were overhauled using the latest technologies... with emphasis on their needs to bebe some of the best fighters in the naval side of the fleet. WIthout sparring themselves hand to hand and sword to sword combat with ground engagements.. the Western Wolves fighters are built more like the stealth ships as they seek to become the vanguard of Atrisian forces and launching from the Jade Dragon gives them an edge with the catapult pressors to have an initial speed boost as well as being the ones with their own prototype cannon still. As an extra feature of their ships compared to the others.

Susanoo Tsukuyomi Susanoo Tsukuyomi - So, we've got a few issues with this submission that need to be addressed. The first is that your rating scheme is overpowered by a total of four, with two from the starfighter profile and two from the vehicle template. As this is Semi-Unique, I would highly recommend lowering a cumulative four ratings between both listed templates.

These Strengths and Weaknesses conflict with your ratings, as something that has a Very High Maneuverability and Extreme Speed Rating would not only be capable of operating in a manner similar to Starfighters - but outperform a great many of them... not including the ones that have been submitted to the Factory.

While the concept of a transforming Starfighter isn't out of the realm of Star Wars, thanks in part to the Vulture Droid from the Prequel Series - I feel as if this submission takes that idea to another level, which makes it comparative to a Mecha. With the near-biomorphic legs, while not seen in the provided GIF but found in the actual gameplay itself, coupled with the size, speed and maneuverability ratings... I struggle to find anything that justifies it's not a Mecha by our Factory Standards. (Two-part link.)

So, my recommendations here - would be to turn this submission into a hybridized battle frame, that's also capable of spaceflight. Coupled with the reduction in ratings, alongside a fully-fleshed out method of propulsion, we'll have something that doesn't infringe on the current Factory Ruleset regarding Mecha. In a sense, it should ideally be similar to a Viking from StarCraft II in terms of the industrial movement, rather than the Half-Gundam vibes this submission invokes.

  • Sleg - Quintessence Power Source: A heavier battery designed to give off high levels of heat and energy. The sleg makes the starfighter highly explosive if they don't have an advanced heat sink installed.
  • Cryo: Harvesting and pulling in vacuum energy creates a dangerous cryo like effect. Turning virtually the power cell into something dangerous to touch or if containment for it is broken almost making it like a cold snap before it explodes.

So, I don't see anything that justifies the use of Quintessence here. Without any exploration into the use of the material, we're forced to utilize established canon to draw a frame of reference from. As Quintessence was used to power the Starkiller weapon, which would likely require massive generators in which to harness, but transform this form of Dark Matter into something else - I don't feel as if a Starfighter on its own could handle, let alone house the necessary requirements to harness the near-limitless potential of Quintessence. At least through conventional and canon standards. As it seems to be the only time it's ever mentioned in your submission - I would recommend removing the mention of it entirely.

Like some of your other submissions, I believe that vacuum energy is the inappropriate terminology here, especially with the Tobal Lens dealing in heat to light transfers. I'd recommend rewording this submission to deal with cryogenic or cold-based energies instead, as these hybridized Fighters theoretically wouldn't do that well in space combat if they continued to deal with vacuum energy.

Please @mention me when you've made the required edits.

Susanoo Tsukuyomi Susanoo Tsukuyomi - Thank you for your edits, but the only thing that's missing is an expansion on its movement patterns when in patrol mode. As it currently stands, this is far too mecha-lite for my tastes - so any fluff that can dissuade those vibes would only benefit your submission.
