Public Damascus Station Corporate Expo 875 ABY

Dorthea Dobson

Chief Director of Damascus Station

DAMASCUS STATION CORPORATE EXPO, 875 ABY
Torus_Interior_AC75-2621_5718.jpg
An 80 km space station has a great many amenities for many occasions. On Damascus Station, there are schools, grocery markets, shops, restaurants, and of course, the manufacturing facilities which drive the whole economy. Being a home to 1.5 billion beings, it has much to offer.

Amongst many many more things, the station also has various convention centres located somewhere between the administration sector and the industrial sector… a fair ways away from the docks. The combined capacity of the venues in this neighborhood can host perhaps millions of patrons at any given time. About half of them have been reserved for this event, and the place has been filled to the brim.

Nearby is the Gold Fire Casino (submission pending), where drinks can be bought, and money can be flaunted wastefully. Run by Victor Algernot, the place is fairly new and is hoping to make its mark on the station for the next few days.

There is a growing demographic on the station of “ship worshipers” that seem to be lurking around. They cluster in groups and chant together while not spending very much money at all. They seem most concerned with shipbuilding companies and companies that build spacesuits, but they only hover near those exhibits without ever bothering them. They appear to be a non-issue, but they do tend to make people uncomfortable.

However, this is the first convention ever on the station, and it already appears to be a big success. Dorthea is very pleased so far, and she will be running around making sure that everything is copasetic. She loves this work. She’s a natural manager.

Presently, Dorthea is on her way to visit the Dar’Manda Industries exhibit to check in with her brother Viken Dobson Viken Dobson . Will she make it there before catastrophe strikes? Who knows…

It had been a long time since there was a galactic expo or at least one that might be able to match the old South Systems Bazaar from Danger Arceneau Danger Arceneau but this might be able to be a start. Companies would be around more then anything and no auctions but that was fine.. they could manage as Sasori had brought several items that would be able to be seen. With people there to demonstrate the equipment as it is needed. From their survival packs with the compartments for holding medical, shelter and rescue equipment. It was a small but select assortment of things for the customers. With ration food packs that could self replenish, advanced bodyguard droids and one of the more sophisticated interfaces you could wear on your ear to have it augment the area around you. MOnthly crates for food, art, merchandise aand swag was also there... and an item for exclusive female customers.

Objective: 1 & 2

Lori was here for a couple of reasons. One was being one of the owners of Damascus Station as well as one of it's creators. Her company Dar'manda Industries (Formerly Mandal-Elysium Arms, formerly MandalArms) was in charge of building and designing it. And the station was incredible. Everything moved like clockwork. Anvil was thoroughly mined for many of it's minerals including Beskar, and much of the ores were processed here at the station and used for a number of ships and armour.

With the rebranding of her company, a new catalogue was to be made, most especially with the entirely new technologies that they had been tasked in creating. It was an exciting time for both her and the station. And Lori couldn't be more pleased with Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson and her managing skills. She was bound to get a huge bonus after this was over.

Viken Dobson Viken Dobson was running the booth for her. Lori knew how much he hated being out in public, but she needed him to do so for a little while. Maybe she'd take his place part way through, maybe not. It all depended on how the event went. For if there was trouble, it was more than likely that either Rex Valhoun Rex Valhoun or Var-Sulis Var-Sulis would have her removed to safety. It wasn't as though she couldn't defend herself, but moreso that she wasn't supposed to have to.

In the back of her mind, Lori wondered if her old friend Val Tessalisk Val Tessalisk would appear. He loved his slugthrowers and she hadn't seen him in what felt like forever. The two shared a love of holo-movies and they were comfortable enough to joke around with one another. He was the closest friend that she had, though she understood about life getting in the way for she had been busy as well.

What also intrigued Lori was about the strange ship religion cult thing that Dorthea had told her about. A report had been made on it, though much of it seemed to be speculation. Maybe if either her or Dorthea saw it with their own eyes, they'd learn more. It was certainly worth an investigation at any rate, most especially if trouble started brewing because of it. But for now, all was pretty quiet.

"Over to the side...No no no no...The side...The....The left...No My left your right! N......" Andrew would sigh heavily and take off his optic lenses before his hand met his face in disappointment. He took a lingering gaze at the semi-sentient protocol droid he programmed over a year ago to assist him with the simplest of tasks. Unfortunately for Andrew, The droid named Baba 2, would sometimes be unable to compute certain commands.

"You wanna know what happened to Baba I, Baba 2? Keep messing up my standee. This has to be perfect...Lonek Tech Industries...Incomplete without a replica of my beautiful mug. Now then...." He stated as he looked around at the bustling crowds, along with others setting up their stations for their wares. "Table is set..Four briefcases...Holonet online..Annndddddd..." He claps his hands and would speak into his small titanium watch that would glimmer with a blue light. "C.E.R.A....Turn on the disco lights..It's time to party.." He commands before adjusting his necktie on his

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Objective: 1

Kay had come in under the guise of 'Cessy'. Most people didn't know her anyways, so it was safe to assume that on a station with over a billion people, she'd be easily passed over.

Her daughter knew of course, but didn't make any huge fanfaire about it. In fact she was even invited. So 'Cessy' brought over some of the items from her shoppe that were sure to fetch a fair price. Except for the illegal and deadlier ones, of course.

The Sphaera Tea Shoppe was here for business, as well as to deliver two hundred crates of Empire Coffee to Grand Shepherd Burtch Grand Shepherd Burtch . More would arrive later when they were made, but she had hoped that it'd be enough to last him a little while.

In the meantime her booth was ready with kettles of water boiling for tasting, baked goods sitting under glass domes, and boxes of tea bundles just waiting to be browsed through and bought.

Looking to the other booths, she kind of wished that she had a droid to help her. Maybe one of the other businsesses at the Expo might have one for her to purchase.

Percival and a Diplomatic Neutralizer named Nadine had wound up representing Sword Herald S.P.E. in the expo on Damascus Station. The pair had agreed to split their responsibilities: Nadine would mind the booth, while Percival walked around and perused the wares of the other sellers.

Nadine sat in a chair, surrounded by various items for sale from Sword Herald. Pretty, well-dressed, and pleasant to talk to, she was already beginning to have success as a saleswoman.

Sword Herald was a company that sold repurposed armor, weapons, and other gear, often modifying much older models of equipment to update them for modern use. Some of the unofficial items were not on display, so buyers would have to ask Nadine about purchasing them.

Be careful what you wish for.
There was a rather large booth being set up in one of the far corners. This was not because of so much that was donated to the event or anything, but because they were so late in signing up (i.e. Liram Angellus Liram Angellus didn't get a chance to send the confirmation until late, but we won't have that argument here) anyway, representatives were at the location, including the Admiral himself who was en route. There were vids about the company itself, Guardian Authority Ltd. It was small in relative terms compared to the other companies here, but it had its niche and had a showing of wares on the Open Market with the ability to buy anything available with a direct link. There were several models of some of the items available onsite as well, for example:

"Titan" Cruiser style Speederbike
"Crotch Rocket" Speederbike
"Carcharodon" Air/Landspeeder
Buzzer Air/Landspeeder
"Scientia" Shuttle'

Raffle tickets selling at 10 UC each (limit 100 per person) were on sale to purchase to win one.

There was also a section devoted to the company's "Outreach" division. "Guardian Angel Outreach", speaking about all of the endowments and scholarships for those in need that are created. Donations were welcome, but not necessary as much of the profits from the sale of many of the items go to this already.

The final section of the booth was dedicated to the newest division, the entertainment section Starlight Cruiseline were another 2 raffles for all expenses and per diems paid 2-week VIP vacation packages were being offered. All proceeds going to the Outreach program (25 UC each, 10 limits, no rule against winning another raffle and winning one of these as well)

In the background, a screen was being set up for viewing and a "mobile kitchen" was being set up for a live shooting of the holo-series "Cooking with Caltin" to go live on air later in the day.

Tatede Truibark

Chief Research Officer - Akron Defense Labs
Objective: 1 (for now, will take part in all at some point for sure)

Dr. Tatede Truibark damned Khrusaes Akron Khrusaes Akron for volunteering her to run this booth. Sure every new technology that Akron Defense Labs came up with started in her head, but that didn’t mean that she had to be stuck in one spot giving lectures about her newest development in shield technology. She wasn’t even sure what the purpose of sharing her breakthroughs was. All of the company's finished products went to the defense of Pantora. Did Khrusaes just want to brag?

She just knew that Khrusaes was in the casino, living it up, while she was out here explaining her computations. Many of the people looked at her as though she was speaking Shyriiwook instead of Galactic Basic. All around her she could see the other booths and wanted so much to take a walk around the expo.

The current wide eyed businessman who didn’t understand that he was going to be getting a physics lesson on why shields do what they do was about to lose interest. She had seen the look before and didn’t want another person walking around the fair talking about how boring the young woman at the Akron Defense Labs booth was.

Tatede loved physics, she loved all sciences. She could listen to her own lectures over and over, but that wasn’t all she loved. She liked to ditch the lab coat, let her hair down, have a few drinks and enjoy a good time. The blinking lights all around her had her losing focus, and that was probably a good thing for her current audience.

“Garm,” she called out to one of her assistants. “Bring over the personal shield generator we brought along. Oh and that blaster and the Gen 1 shield. I wish we had a competitor’s shield, but I doubt they want to be shown up.” Once the assistant brought the desired equipment, she went ahead and gave a brief demonstration of how much better her new shield was than the old one. Shooting a blaster was always a good way to get rid of that glazed over look non-science people got when her descriptions got too wrapped up in theory and scientific procedure.

Grand Shepherd Burtch

Fleet Commander For The Nomadic Peoples Coalition
Objectives 2 and 4

Interaction: OPEN

"Pleaze do not touch the Admiral," lieutenant Krristaa hissed at the crowd of lurking cultists as they walked by. Every time Burtch and his secretary, the female trandoshan named Krristaa, walked by a cluster of chanting individuals, they would stop chanting for a minute and usually just stare at him as he walked by. Sometimes, they would even try to touch him, and he didn't like that. Some would say weird things while they tried, like "share your angel's blessing with us" or "thank you for watching over us, shepherd!"

It was pretty weird and it didn’t make sense, but Burtch's infrared chiss eyes didn't get any threatening heat from their faces as they… praised him. They seemed harmless, even if they were a bit odd. And lieutenant Krristaa was there to keep them at bay if they got too pushy.

Burtch was at the expo while his ship was receiving extensive repairs way back at the shipyard sector of the station. He had a rare free moment to go and explore, so he thought he'd check out all the exhibits. He weaved his way through patrons and cultists alike and eyed up various booths before he made it to the animal stockades. He pressed forward, curious about what kind of industries were willing to showcase their livestock wares on a space station.

He didn't venture far before he saw a human man dressed in something of a navy uniform, standing before a pen with some small ravenous looking scaly creatures with small hind legs, large front legs, and needle sharp teeth. The combination of the navy uniform and the creatures in one scene perplexed Burtch's mind and his curiosity got the better of him. He walked up to the man and kept his spine stiff as a fellow navy man would.

The other man clearly recognized the air of a senior officer of sorts and saluted respectfully, even though Burtch was clearly from a different navy. Burtch wryly returned the salute in kind and then let his posture slack a bit while extending his hand for a shake, "hello, what is this you have here?"

The man took the hand and shrugged, "genetically modified piranha lizards… admiral?" The man guessed Burtch's rank. Burtch simply nodded with a small smile, and the man continued, "they are entirely experimental, but they are intended to revolutionize anti-warship combat! They eat metal and reproduce quickly. They're… more of a strategic weapon than a tactical one because of how long they take to kill a large ship, but they could fill a niche. We're hoping to raise funding by interested parties. Are you interested?"

Burtch cocked an eyebrow in satisfaction. He was actually impressed by the concept. He tilted his head thoughtfully before answering, "I might be. I'll get you in touch with some of my advisory staffers, perhaps. This could be interesting. But I wanna ask, are they a threat to this station? Damascus Station is essentially a massive ship in its own right."

"Ah!" The man exclaimed. He was clearly pleased by the question, since he seemed to be prepared in advance for it, "these particular critters are just 'prototypes' per se. We have a nerve gas on hand that is keyed directly to genetic markers that we put in this brood that can wipe them out in a near instant if they get out of hand. We've already made sure that your… rather assertive station director has an ample supply of the gas. It won't hurt anyone else, since those genetic markers only exist in my creatures."

Burtch nodded, satisfied. He also smirked at the mentioning of Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson , the station director. Assertive was certainly one word to discribe her. The Lieutenant Krristaa chimed in, "iz there any chanze that you can prove their effectivenezz? Ezpecially zinze you can counter them zo eazily?"

Burtch nodded to his secretary in approval. It was a good question. The man smiled again, clearly prepared for this question too, "we actually managed to purchase a large disarmed surplus star destroyer from your station for a demonstration! The results of their chewing as a swarm is actually rather spectacular to watch and we have reserved the large holodisplay in the center of the main pavilion to show it when our time slot is up! You will wanna see that!"

Burtch smiled and stepped away to excuse himself, "thank you! We will certainly watch it! I hope to hear from you soon."

They turned to walk away and passed another group of cultists that were nearby. These ones didn't even notice Burtch and Krristaa. When Burtch stole a furtive glance at them, he saw that their facial temperatures were up, and fuming with rage as they stared at the man with the piranha creatures. It set off Burtch's instincts instantly.

Burtch would walk away further before reporting them to security. As the two of them walked, he wondered if he might get flagged down by another exhibitor to see their wares…

Maybe there was a raffle somewhere?

The admiral strolled around the Lucerne consortium display - eying the demonstration holos and making sure the display items didn't have any obvious faults - just as the expo started. Most of the items were more recent introductions from Lucerne Biological Systems and Lucerne Labs - droids and medicine that nearly everyone could find a potential use for - but Lucerne Personal Defense had a number of new weapons and personal armors present as well for those interested in seeing them firsthand.

"You know, I have this idea for you to promote business," said Sariya.

A mischievous grin flickered across her pale face. Oh boy...

Gir mockingly winced, "All right, let's hear this amazing idea."

She held up the Navi Dive Suit, complete with dangling flippers, "You put this on - all of it- and walk around the expo in it . I'm sure you'll get a lot of attention, and they say there's no such thing as bad publicity."

"Hmm...let me think about that. You know what, that's not a bad idea, but let me make one change to this scheme."

She blinked.

"You get the wear it and walk around," said the man, "you have a much prettier and younger face than I. A much better model. See, let's ask F-5TO about it. F-5TO?"

As Sariya groaned, the gleaming new protocol droid strolled over.

"You called sir?"

"I did," said the admiral, "in your opinion, do you think Sariya or I would be better off in modelling this dive suit."

"This is a difficult question," started the droid, "but I would wager that Sariya would gather more attention from the crowd in the expo."

Echani was quick to shake her head, "Oh, I don't know about that...Gir, you wouldn't..."

"Not yet," said the blonde man with a grin, "but only because you wouldn't be able to do a good job of protecting me in it."

Sample items on display:

Lucerne Labs
Lucerne Personal Defense
Lucerne Biological Systems
  • Bio-Bacta Max: An advanced version of bacta engineered for emergency battlefield use
  • FastMed Emergency Medpac: This highly compact individual medpac contains a selection of LBS advanced medications as well as a Haven series Health Regenerator.
  • Paean-series Medical Backpack: An advanced medkit designed to be carried by emergency response personnel or stashed away in small ships
  • Mediflux Field Replicator: This device can transform random materials into needed nutrients, proteins, or antidotes
  • Chronos MedSurge Capsule: A suspended animation casket that act as a bank tank and/or robotic surgery suite - ideal for small ships.

Objective: 2 & 4

Willow and Ivy were brought to Damascus Station by Grand Shepherd Burtch Grand Shepherd Burtch . Or more to the point, they were rescued. The siamese twins had been forced to work as fortune tellers and the like for Warlords for years. And for a good while they served Broka the Hutt, living in a gilded cage where they were permitted to move around in some parts of his Sky Palace.

But once he disappeared, the protection that the twins once had began to be dismantled. To remain in Hutt Space would have been their deaths. Their visions showed them that. And they were also shown the way out; by the way of Burtch and his steel Angel; the Lady Shii-Cho. Even while injured, she managed to rescue them and bring everyone here to safety. And they couldn't be happier.

Damascus Station was proving to be an amazing home. The twins had no restrictions but what they placed on themselves. They were allowed to wander, to meet new friends and to visit all of the steel Angels and learn their stories with a single touch. Others like Burtch held a close bond with his Angel, much in the same way that a pilot bonds with his starfighter and learns all the kinks that his vehicle has. Such bonds were special and needed to be honoured. They needed to be praised and encouraged.

And there were many others on board Damascus that shared their views. The twins were used to people coming and asking for their futures or help in finding something, but this was different. They were not being treated like slaves, but instead they were being treated like authority figures of their own. It was kind of neat, and just another step towards something even better.

The twins entered the Expo, draped in grey-ish silver dresses that barely showed their physical connection at their hip and just below their shoulder blades. Their arms were linked with their fingers intertwined, long brown hair flowing behind them like water. Their eyes sparkled with curiosity as they walked through the grounds. Some of their followers would pause and whisper around them while they passed, to which they both gave them kind smiles.

It was Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor that caught their attention. Not only for the food he had on hand, but there were little steel Angels on display and they wanted to meet them.

"Hello there."

"May we have a look?"

"We promise not to hurt them."

LIKON, Ltd. Display

The great drilling machine sat idle, before its giant drill-tipped excavator started rotating - a nearby display block of stone and permacrete crumbling from the machine's inexorable efforts.

A conveyor belt did laps around a singular assembly line droid, the droids four arms swiftly and dexterously assembling machines of varying shapes and sizes with a speed and efficiency that would astonish.

Around a block of permacrete, a small swarm of spider-like mining droids used precision lasers to chip and carve away at the block, creating an intricate and complex piece of art.

To the side, a hulking loadlifter effortlessly lifted a similar permacrete block easily weighing several tons; setting the block down gently, it rubbed its hand together before seizing a block of solid durasteel - with visible effort, the droid slowly lifted it up, and then over its head, holding the triumphant position before letting the block slam to the ground.

Roth Likonis stood looking quite proud, and gestured at his company's creation. "We might not make the flashiest tech, but nobody makes it like LIKON. When you buy a LIKON mining or construction asset, you know you're buying quality. That's a LIKON guarantee." Picking up a blaster prominently displayed on a low table, he flicked the safety off, before shooting the assembly line droid three times. Once in the arm, and twice in the side. The machine stuttered to a halt...then rebooted. Swiftly, its free arms disconnected the damaged arm, then proceeded to construct a new arm from scratch from the materials on the conveyor belt. When the new arm was made, it busily opened its own chassis, repairing the damage within. "LIKON. Built for the Rim, by the Rim. Get yours today."

On demonstration:
LIKON LST-MT
LIKON SM-BL industrial assembly line droid
LIKON BU-1K loadlifter droid
LIKON M1-NE mining droid

Dorthea Dobson

Chief Director of Damascus Station
Objective 2 and 4

Interaction: OPEN

+++++++++++++++++++++

Swipe, tap tap, swipe swipe, tap tap taptaptap tap, swipe…

Dorthea's datapad was overwhelmed with updates and data as she wandered through the throng of undulating crowds. She had a lot of work to do to keep things together and running smoothly. This, being the first expo ever on the station, was going… well enough. A lot of things needed to be ironed out, but it wasn't a total disaster upon opening, so Dorthea considered that a win.

Still, there were issues of course. A few booths, panels, tents and demonstration centres had been double booked, which was something of a nightmare. It was being managed by her staff at this very moment, but she needed to coordinate it all the same. Then the animal stockades were making smells that certain vendors were not happy about. Next year, the food courts would be set up on the other side of the expo…

And then there were the weird cultists. A few concerned reports sifted in through her maze of customer service agents to her datapad, but from what she could see they were mostly harmless. They didn't threaten anyone, and they weren't making messes or insulting people. On the odd occasion, someone would report that the clusters were obstructing foot traffic and they had to be asked to move, but for the most part, the biggest crime they seemed to be guilty of was one thing: they weren't spending any money.

Dorthea asked security to keep an eye on them for the time being, but for now, she resigned to the fact that she could only do something about it next year after this was done.

She kept walking and looked up from her datapad from time to time to keep her bearings, and she saw Gir Quee Gir Quee at his display with an arkanian assistant and a droid. She respected Gir, as he had helped facilitate the alliance between the Empire and the Concord while she was there as an aide. Plus, he sold her a really gnarly gun. She was starting to like guns…

She shot him a smile and a wave and pressed on to her destination. She had one important stop to make before she could head to see her brother Viken Dobson Viken Dobson at the Dar'Manda Industries exhibit. Although, I bet Grand Shepherd Burtch Grand Shepherd Burtch wouldn't mind checking out Lucerne labs setup… she knew that Burtch was here and he would probably wanna check that out.

She kept walking, occasionally referencing a map on her datapad for directions before she reached her destination.

The Sasori Research exhibit was impressive, as expected. Unusual, yet practical products were displayed with an eye for presentation. But Dorthea might look at those later. Right now, she had something of an agenda.

She strode right up to Matsu Ike Matsu Ike and greeted her, "hello, there! I'm Dorthea Dobson, the director of this station, and the de facto organizer of this event! I hope you are enjoying yourself and that you are getting everything you need. I'll just cut to the chase here. My assistants did a check on your company, and you are known for frequenting expos such as this. I have to ask out of professional curiosity; is there anything that you'd like to see at these events in the future, considering this is our first expo?"

She walked into the Gold Fire Casino in observation of the multitude of beings there, chatting, laughing and carrying on with what you would expect to happen in such an environment. But Fern wasn’t there to gamble or make friends. She had an objective and needed information. Her clan had given her directive under the implemented Mandalore House of Kylen. Her scanner inside her helmet would detect multiple faces, pulling up public and private information in the data base. She continued rubbing shoulder to shoulder with several individuals until reaching the massively long bar. She would squeeze to the countertop and await service. She wore her armor as she always would in the public eye, and even kept her twin turbo jet pack attached properly. Her blaster was secured as well as her rifle. She had little regard or concern for if she was allowed in such a place with her arsenal, however from her point of view, there was no need to make use of it. Yet.

Objective three:

"Everyone! Places! Places! The expo has been going for an hour and we haven't even opened up the main doors yet!" Victor "Vic" Algernot was running too and fro, drink in hand, somehow not spilling the contents of the glass all over the floor. The man wore a full zeyd cloth tuxedo, and, currently, he was sweating in a fashion unbecoming of a host and entertainer. "Sons of the Sith! Is the enviro-temp controls still not on? Why is it so hot in here!?" A waiter droid walked up to the beleaguered man, waiving its tray like a palm frond, trying frantically to cool Vic off.

"They fixed the temperature controls two hours ago, sir. My sensors indicate you're having a panic attack." Offered the droid, its voice buzzing and scratchy.

"Of course I'm having a panic attack!" Snapped Vic. "The systems on this piece of junk don't work! (*pending sub and tech approval, which will be soon)" Vic gestured dramatically across the busy staff, who very quickly ducked their heads to look busy. "Shields! Power generators! The damned four hundred MILLION credit security system! What kind of Casino doesn't have a security system!"

"Mr. Likon told you it wasn't ready yet! It was half decommissioned when you bought it - shame on you for rushing him!" Shouted one of the twi'lek showgirls across the floor, currently dragging a chair into place along with rest of the staff; everyone was pitching in trying to get everything in place and ready. "It's a miracle what they've done!"

"You're just sweet on him." Replied Vic dismissively, waving a hand. "If the man can't rebuild a star destroyer sized space station in a week, then what good are credits? What good is anything for that matter?"

"Oh here we go..." Groaned a herglic bouncer, covering his face.

"What good is love? Alcohol? What good is a bed, or the flagranté dance of lovers betwixt the sheets? What good is anything?" Ranted Vic, his free hand gesturing wildly, his drink hand shaking the liquid dangerously.

"Sir..." Interjected the Twi'lek.

"Nothing matters!"

"Sir!"

"What!"

"At the bar, sir..."

Vic tilted his head back, craning his head to see what the silly girl was talking about. His eyebrows arched at the bounty hunter there. "Whills warted wrinkles. They're just wandering in because we don't have a security system!" What started out as a whisper turned into a screech by the end, and more than one person winced at it.

"He warned you!" Shouted a chorus of staff, to which Vic just waved his hand.

Getting up, drink in hand, Vic made his way into the bar before sliding in behind it. Coming up to the bounty hunter ( Valah Hagen Valah Hagen ) - because what else could someone clad head to toe in armor possibly be - he leaned against the bar and offered a smile.
"Hi. We...aren't exactly open yet. But, if you've got UC, I've got the time."

Glancing behind her, Vic sighed in exasperation at a trio of robed and hooded figures who stood in the doorway to the casino, silent and motionless. "Barry! They're back! Get those...those...cult people...out of here!" Silently, the massive Herglic from earlier came up to the trio, making shooing gestures with his hands. Just as silently as they arrived, they departed, not making a sound. "Freak me out, just appearing places. Don't spend any damn money, they just lurk. If I wanted to be silently judged I'd go to my mothers. Anyway....what's the rumpus bounty hunter?"

"Iv'e got the UC....And i'm not here to cause any trouble....I'm looking for someone. While I'm here (She gestures and digs into her side satchel taking out a few cred's) This is for being at the table and not ordering a drink. Tell me....(She would pause and turn to face him) Have you seen this woman?" She asks as her left wrist would come into view and a blue hologram with a face depiction of Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun would be shown.

"
My sources tell me she has more than a hand in the makings of Damascus." She said while looking over his shoulder at the environment and the employees running rapidly setting up the place to look operational. Although he couldn't see where her eyes were exactly, they would then study him up and down observing his frantic manner.

((Ok. Tell me again why you had to attend the expo? CORPORATE EXPO?)) The small ear pod chimed off as Chadu spoke. He was a good buddy of mine from back in our merc days. While I stumbled upon a path that led me to a cure and working for the Empire, He found....Religion....But even still. It was good to catch up with old friends every now and then. Those near and far across the galaxy. I had no need to explain, but I trusted him with almost anything as he was and still is the closest thing Iv'e ever had to a brother.

"Yes..It is a corporate event....(I said while passing by a group of strange individuals that were staring at me. I gave a glare to this group of robed figures and immediately imprinted how many, height, weight, probability of causing a disturbance, and scenarios with exits and alternate pathways to remain hidden if they wanted to into my brain. Cataloged, and kept away...For now.) But...I am here for personal surveillance. Nothing more, nothing less. And you are prepping....What again?" ((
Tea Var. It's called Tea...Something you could use some more of..Instead of relying on man-made product.)) He snickered as I continued on in my Tailored Suit . "Hey..Gotta go...I'll stop home soon..." I said as I took a look at the setups of the vendors and others along the row. Fascinating...The technology and wares...It was all quite impressive.

Vic turned as she spoke, scooping up the credits as he did so. "You want info on a single person on this station? You know Damascus is something near eighty kilometers long, right? One point five billion sentients." As he spoke, he uncorked a bottle poured about four ounces of black liquid into the cup. Turning back to the woman, he put the cup down in front of her, garnishing it with a long straw. "Net'ra gal."

"My sources tell me she has more than a hand in the makings of Damascus."
Vic looked over the image, then shrugged. "That's the owner of Dar'manda industries. She owns - or partly owns - Damascus. Helped build it, I think." That was more or less common knowledge, of course. He had briefly talked with the owners of Damascus over comlink when he negotiated for Gold Fire to clamp onto Damascus, but that was about it. "Busy woman, probably. Don't know her that well."

She would nod and respond, "Ori'jate." Which was Mando'a for the common term (very good). As she glared at the Net'ra Gal, looking cold and enticing she wanted to have it very badly. But she wasn't there for that. Instead, she would take out a small thermos from her utility pack and pour the cup of liquid into the canister. She would then look at Victor Algernot . "Well then...Cred says I can take this with me correct?" She proposed as it was more of a statement.

She rose to her feet and while placing the container away she would give a simple nod to him and make her leave. Someone knew where Loreena was, and out of the millions on the station, there was no way she wasn't present amongst them.

"Go for it. Don't let it get hot - tastes bad. One man's opinion." Vic smiled widely as the hunter poured it into a thermos. He thought it was a woman, based on the way the armor plates hugged certain curves. She had a pleasant enough voice. "Hey...you know, always need some guards. Come back when you're off mission sometime. There's always fun to be had at the Gold Fire...Akay vi urcir tug'yc."

As the woman turned and left, Vic shook his head, wiping down the bar with a rag. "Try the expo! Lot of big wigs there today!"
