PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 26 years old
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User.
  • Species: Echani
  • Appearance: Sariya appears as a young, lithe woman who walks with the elegant grace of an accomplished acrobatic and martial artist. Like many of her people, she has white hair, lily white skin, and gleaming silver eyes. She frequently wears some dark 'war' paint on her skin as an intentional distinguishing mark among her peers in order to deter weaker challengers. A proud warrior, she typically wears Vondiranach Brand Fiber Armor covered in a weather appropriate cloak (a traditional fur cloak for cold, wintery climates or sun shawl for hotter climates) along with her bladed weapons on a Duelist Brand Belt and Sheath. At her employer's request, she sometimes adapts other clothes/armor and removes her war paint to better blend in with the environment.

  • Wealth: Sariya is a woman of the middle class between her inherited wealth and money garnered from performing a variety of fighting-related contracts across the galaxy.
  • Notable Possessions: Vondiranach Brand Fiber Armor, Ysalamir Mental Resistance Collar, Duelist Brand Belt and Sheath, Soothsayer Brand Energy Sword, various sized Echani Vibroblades, ParticleJet Miniaturized Maser Gauntlet
  • Skills: Sariya is an expert martial artists in Echani, having won several minor championship matches on her homeworld and several mixed martial arts competitions offworld, many of which were in traditional Hutt Space. She is subsequently reasonably fluent in Huttesse. Her travels offworld have also helped her develop some skills in fixing basic mechanical objects, first aid, some survival skills, and basic competence in using a variety of weapons and adventure-oriented gear.
  • Personality: Confident and brash to acquaintances, Sariya comes across as a rather forward extrovert. Her blunt if reasonably friendly speech is usually peppered with a healthy dose of sarcasm and almost indecipherable Huttese interjections that most people find endearing after a while. Despite this somewhat rough front, she is noticeably more sensitive in tone and speech with those that she comes attached to, especially if she has fought several respectable duels against them. She tends to be a bit of loner when it comes to close friends (few know her well), but she likes to hang out in groups of acquaintances in local cantinas and clubs.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Soothsayer Brand Energy Sword
  • Combat Function: Sariya is an excellent close-quarters combatant thanks to her skill in Echani. While she can fight with her bare hands in that skill (typically throwing a flurry of nerve strikes and counter-blocks), she prefers to use Echani in its bladed form, either with traditional echani vibroblades or her relatively new Soothsayer Brand Energy Sword. Her swordfighting style is sometimes referred to being almost like Djem So, using strong, almost crippling attacks with a focus on blocks followed by immediate counterattacks. She is not a complete purist of the form, and has incorporated some elements of dirty fighting in it following her experience in cage matches in Hutt Space. Recently, she has been convinced to include some ranged attacks in the form of a maser gauntlet due to her need not only to protect herself, but her new employer as well. This tends to be more of a last resort, as she still prefers to attack close-up and personal if at all possible. Team combat is something new to her, and she prefers to operate by herself, despite the protests of her employer and other elements of his security detail.
Strengths:
  • Expert Duelist: Sariya is excellent close-quarters fighter as detailed above. While not on the level of the average experienced Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior, she nonetheless is very lethal threat to most people that she could theoretically encounter.
  • Disarming (social): Sariya is fairly good at putting people at ease, even during difficult situations because of her good-natured if straightforward personality.
  • Survivor: While not a wilderness expert, Sariya is fairly good at adapting to adverse conditions after spending several years on the proverbial road in Hutt Space.
Weaknesses:
  • Loner: Sariya is a loner, not really having anyone she feels like she can fully rely on. She is not likely to divulge any personal information to someone, even if it could help her, and the reverse is generally true as well - few people feel like they can fully trust someone who never reveals anything about herself. She does not particularly cooperate or work together in combat either, which can be a sore point. Sometimes her more frustrated comrades remark that "She goes off and does her own thing".
  • Melee Fighter: Sariya is primarily a melee fighter and has difficulty when it comes to ranged combat. While she is attempting to incorporate some ranged attacks through her miniaturized maser gauntlet, this is more of an afterthought than an intentional way of fighting. Even then, that weapon's short range even for pistol-sized weapons means that she's often at a disadvantage in any gun fights.
  • Hidden Past: Sariya fought under the nom de guerre "White Claw" in Hutt Space. As a fighter, she revealed a rigged fight in one of the competitions, which led to the affected hutt kajidic putting a not inconsiderate bounty on her head. While part of her appearance was disguised back then (and is now partially intentionally obscured by her 'war paint'), it's only a matter of time before she encounters the wrong person looking to cash in. Because of this bounty, she rightly feels like it would be unwise decision to ever return to Hutt Space.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Descended from a long line of duelists that allegedly starts with Raskta Fenni, Sariya grew up on Eshan like many Echani youth, slowly progressing through ritualistic martial arts training along with the other trials and tribulations of adolescent life. As with many of her line, she became a fairly accomplished duelist at a relatively early age, which her family continued to encourage in hopes of obtaining a full-ride scholarship to one of the world's university's. Her parent's goal was subverted though, and Sariya began to see dueling as the end rather than the means to an end. While she obtained the scholarship at the end of mandatory education, she was a lackluster student who was far more interested in duel competitions. She won several minor championships, which led her school to tolerate her poor grades for a time. Her parents were disappointed, and she eventually quick university after several years to take on full-time dueling. This took her to wandering Hutt Space, where she participated in a variety of gladiatorial games and prize fights as the fighter "White Claw". It was a hard life, but one full of new experiences, challenges, and harder and more diverse opponents. During one match, she was pressured by a hutt kajidic to intentionally lose a championship prize fight match with the promise of a great reward. She did not lose the match, which cost that kajidic a great deal of money. Pursued by bounty hunters and members of that kajidic for another year in Hutt Space, she eventually stowed away on a tramp freighter and "White Claw" disappeared. Quietly returning home, she eased tensions with her disappointed family before embarking on a number of small local, security gigs and several non-broadcasted prize fights to the first blood. Recruited by Ariela Captisan, she now acts as Admiral Quee's personal bodyguard.

These are fine weaknesses that further flesh out her character, but they are more personality traits than combat-based ones.

You can keep them, but since this is a combat-based character I'd recommend adding a weakness that would directly affect her performance in combat if she ends up fighting a PC or NPC written by another writer. Based on what you've written in combat function, while she is at excellent at melee, she seems less experienced in using ranged weapons, which would be quite pertinent if say a sniper shoots at her or Gir. So that's something you could add if you like.
