SPECIAL FEATURES
  • LIKON durability: LIKON values toughness and durability, reflected in redundant systems, additional bracing, fusion welded plating, and magna bolted seals. LIKON products are typically known to be able to take hits and keep on functioning.
  • LIKON universality: LIKON specifically designs its systems with a minimum of moving parts, and with as much universal access as possible to allow for a seamless and pain-free maintenance cycle. It is exceptionally easy to repair and maintain this item.
  • Space saver: this droid can collapse itself into a cube half its regular size when in storage mode; this makes for easier transportation and deployment.
STRENGTHS
  • (+) Stupid strong: the BU-1K is ridiculously strong, as it is designed to move bulk cargo containers filled with raw materials such ore and metals. Combined with its magnetic grasper claws which can lock onto metallic surfaces, this droid is fully capable of tossing around metric tons as if it were nothing. A group of these droids working together can lift even larger loads.
  • (+) Construction armor: this droid is well armored with a structurally reinforced heavy duralloy chassis. Highly resistant to energy and kinetic damage, this provides excellent protection against magma, explosions, boulders, industrial accidents, etc.
WEAKNESSES
  • (-) Strong but stupid: the BU-1K is just barely a step up above a binary loadlifter. Only capable of communicating in droid binary, the BU-1K can only register and process moderately complex commands, and fully relies on organic miners or foreman droids to give them instructions and to direct and coordinate their work efforts.
  • (-) Not suited for combat: while these droids are well armored, their weaponry is only effective at short (immediate) range and makes them ill-suited for combat.
DESCRIPTION
The spiritual successor to the Type II loadlifter or LB-series bulk-loader of millennia prior, the LIKON BU-1K loadlifter droid is a hulking bipedal droid just over three meters tall. As a Fifth Degree droid, the BU-1K possesses virtually no intelligence or independent thought, instead relying on organics or a foreman droid to tell it what to do. Designed to be used on LIKON construction, mining, or demolition sites, the BU-1K possesses heavy duralloy chassis plating that protects it from explosions, crushing forces, or even directed energy. Equipped with two large manipulator arms tipped with magnetic grapple claws, the BU-1K excels at lifting and relocating heavy loads exceeding multiple metric tons.
