TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • LIKON durability: LIKON values toughness and durability, reflected in redundant systems, additional bracing, fusion welded plating, and magna bolted seals. LIKON products are typically known to be able to take hits and keep on functioning.
  • LIKON universality: LIKON specifically designs its systems with a minimum of moving parts, and with as much universal access as possible to allow for a seamless and pain-free maintenance cycle. It is exceptionally easy to repair and maintain this item.
  • Space saver: this droid can collapse itself into a cube half its regular size when in storage mode; this makes for easier transportation and deployment.
STRENGTHS
  • (+) Mining armor: this droid is well armored with a structurally reinforced duralloy chassis. Highly resistant to energy and kinetic damage, this provides excellent protection against magma, explosions, falling boulders, and cave-ins.
  • (+) Precision cutting: this droid uses the integrated lasers in its claws to make precision cuts. Utilizing the tri-beam laser in one claw, it carefully exposes scanned ore deposits; it then uses its mining laser to harvest said deposits. This process, while slower than normal, creates very little waste.
WEAKNESSES
  • (-) Relatively simple: these droids, as class five units, are relatively simple - they rely on organic miners or foreman droids to give them commands and to direct and coordinate their mining efforts.
  • (-) Not suited for combat: while these droids are well armored, their weaponry is only effective at short (immediate) range and makes them ill-suited for combat.
DESCRIPTION
The spiritual successor to the KM1 mining droid of millennia prior, the LIKON M1-NE mining droid is a quadrupedal mining droid manufactured by LIKON for underground mining operations. Designed to be released in small swarms, the droids are relatively simple, though effective, and come stock with a precision variable laser beam, a heavy mining laser, dual manipulator arms, and an internal cargo hopper with a quarter ton ore capacity. Capable of folding themselves up into a cube half their normal size, these droids are easily stored and deployed, making for a relatively cheap and inexpensive workforce.
