He isn't super tall, about 6'6, okay that's tall, but he's worked out heavily every day of his life since his last days on Coruscant. At first, it was because he was tired of being picked on, then it became a tool to keep him one step ahead of others, now it is just an extension of his personality. If you see him doing do, watch how intense he makes it for himself, there is a reason for it, and one day he might tell you... might. While, "more than capable", at healing his body does have a share of scars. His arms are tattoed with the tribal markings of a Wookiee tribe that welcomed him once into their fold.

  • STRENGTHS

    Supportive
    - Caltin is a universal helper, sharing his knowledge, experience, time, and energy with anyone who needs it, and all the more so with friends and family. People with this personality type strive for win-win situations, choosing empathy over judgment whenever possible.

Reliable and Patient - Rather than offering sporadic, excited rushes that leave things half-finished, Caltin is meticulous and careful, taking a steady approach and bending with the needs of the situation just enough to accomplish his end goals. He will not only ensure that things are done to the highest standard but often go well beyond what is required.

Imaginative and Observant - Caltin is very imaginative, and uses this quality as an accessory to empathy, observing others' emotional states and seeing things from their perspective. With his feet firmly planted on the ground, it is a very practical imagination, though he does find things quite fascinating and inspiring.

    Enthusiastic
When the goal is right, Caltin takes all this support, reliability, and imagination and applies it to something they believe will make a difference in people's lives – whether fighting poverty with a global initiative or simply making a customer's day.

Loyal and Hard Working - Given a little time, this enthusiasm grows into loyalty – Caltin often forms an emotional attachment to the ideas and organizations to which he's dedicated himself to. Anything short of meeting their obligations with good, hard work fails his own expectations.

Good Practical Skills - The best part is, Caltin has the practical sense to actually do something with all this altruism. If mundane, routine tasks are what need to be done, Caltin can always seem to see the beauty and harmony that is often created, because he knows that it helps him to care for his friends, family, and anyone else who needs it.

Guardian – He is a believer in peace, but Caltin's previous life was a living you know what. He was touched by darkness and while this would be a detriment to others, he used it to the best of his ability. Means he will try to talk you out of a fight, but he will be throwing hands, and lightsabers while doing it.

Ala – No matter how over-protective he is of her, Caltin will always be that way. It motivates him. It's weird. His adoptive "lil" sister represents something to the big guy that he will do anything to keep protected and relevant. No, she is not put on some kind of pedestal, but as long as she is in over her head, he will be there to prop her up.

Role Model - He may not be a stereotypical Jedi, but he believes in the old school approach and welcomes anyone wanting and willing to make a better life for themselves. He was always considered "intimidating"(still is) and "standoffish" in the past and in truth it bothers him. So while the big guy always tries to set the right example, he works more towards being "approachable."

"Every Jedi should be good at something." - While he made an effort to learn all that a Jedi education had to offer, Caltin was, other than combat, only truly exceptional at piloting and mechanics. This was of course what he took to as a nice hobby.

Presence - If he does not know you, or you are a potential threat to him, those around him, or as a whole, Caltin gives off a presence as significant as his stature. It is not necessarily a Jedi technique but he takes pride in it because combining this with his experience and wisdom as a Jedi Master tends to end more fights before they begin.

    Touched by Darkness
Caltin's life before he was a Jedi was one personal hell after another, he very nearly succumbed to his rage and slaughtered a room full of Hutt cronies. It was seeing a little girl who used to wave to him every day cower in fear to remind him of the promise he made to his father. "Always do the right thing." This has given the big guy an insight that he has used to his advantage against those who fall and never wish to rise.

Quick Study/Always Prepared -If given the time, say on the trip to a mission, Caltin will always search and read up on the destination, culture, and people. This helps when in diplomatic situations and detecting liars.

Can fly anything - His early life on the run and as a vigilante forced the big guy to learn a lot about the systems from fighters (to which he can no longer fit in) to shuttles, to freighters to even capital ships (never flown one before, but how hard could it be?).

  • WEAKNESSES

    Humble and Rather Shy
    - The meek shall inherit the galaxy, but it's a long road if they receive no recognition at all. This is possibly Caltin's biggest challenge, as he is so concerned with others' feelings that he often refuses to make his complete thoughts known or take any duly earned credit for his contributions. Caltin's standards for himself is also so high that, knowing he could have done some minor aspect of a task better, Caltin often downplays his successes entirely.

Sometimes takes things too personally - Caltin sometimes has trouble separating personal and impersonal situations – any situation is still an interaction between two people, after all – and any negativity from conflict or criticism can carry over from his professional to his personal life, and back again.

Repress Feelings - People with the Defender personality type are private and very sensitive, internalizing their feelings a great deal. Much in the way that Caltin protects others' feelings, he must protect his own, and this lack of healthy emotional expression can lead to a lot of stress and frustration.

Often Overloaded - Caltin's strong senses of duty and perfectionism combine with this aversion to the emotional conflict to create a situation where it is far too easy to overload himself – or to be overloaded by others – as he struggles silently to meet everyone's expectations, especially he own.

Reluctant to Change - These challenges can be particularly hard to address since Caltin values traditions and history highly in his decisions. A situation sometimes needs to reach a breaking point before he will be persuaded by circumstance, or the strong personality of a loved one, to alter course.

Too Altruistic - This is all compounded and reinforced by Caltin's otherwise wonderful quality of altruism. Being such a warm, good-natured person, Caltin is often willing to let things slide, to believe that things will get better soon, to not burden others by accepting their offers of help, while his troubles mount unassisted.

A certain Sorrusian - If she wanted to, Chrysothemis could not only have her way with him but get him to do just about anything. He cannot say "no" to her, at all. It may not last forever, but right now, she is his Kryptonite.

Misunderstood - He was often considered "grumpy" and "brooding", this is something that has often caused him to dwell on his issues and even more stress. The more he tries to change, the less he does.

Overprotective - You will not get past him and threaten those he cares about the most, this is known. He teaches his students as much as possible to prepare them for the worst, but for some reason is reticent to allow them to act without his oversight. It is difficult for the big guy to let his "little ones" grow and mature. Just look at Ala, she can't show her skills because he is always there.

Ticking Time bomb - From his early life to the constant battles, to the losses in his personal life, to over eight hundred years on the ice there is a rage building in him. It will boil over, the question is when.

  • CALTIN'S STAGES OF A BATTLE:

So, you're face to face with the walking boulder himself and you're looking for a fight. Here's the thing.

Originally learning how to defend himself through Martial Arts, Caltin's almost constant exercises added muscle upon muscle and slowly began to add this to his "arsenal" so to speak. His attacks, his counters are primarily strength and power-based, this is not to say that he seeks out "power" but because of his size it is more difficult to rely on the martial arts he once utilized as a primary source of skill. This is not to say that he does not use those skills, along with the Jedi martial art known as "Broken Gate", but the big guy is more than capable of holding his own against anyone. This was before his change

    6058867-giphy-3.gif

    • He is a Jedi, first and foremost if only in similar beliefs, he will not hit first, but he will hit back. You will have to move on to him and have to listen to his constant offers to run away, that is who he is. His size, his frame, and the look on his face (and eyes) are his primary weapons. Caltin is not out to be menacing and frightening in general, but he will stop you just by intimidation if he can. If you attack, you had better be ready for your weight being used against you, as well as your momentum. He will punch you, he will kick you, he will throw you. This was all with a singular purpose of getting you to stop and leave the area before he gets to the next of his stages of combat.
    • His outlook on the Force in a duel/fight is the same as that of the Soresu Form of lightsaber combat. He will use it minimally, waiting until only when absolutely necessary and at the last possible moment to do so, this is to outlast his opponent and be able to subdue his opponent. This is where is cardiovascular conditioning (spending a long time working out in extreme conditions) comes into play as while he will throw hands hard in a fistfight, the Force was not meant for such things.
    • If it came down to utilizing his lightsaber, then so be it. "You had your chance" at this point. The massive Jedi Master was a study, a long study of the Force, and the abilities that were afforded with a lightsaber. Combining a lightsaber with his brute strength and martial arts teachings gives the big guy a lot of options. Of course, you can still run, at any time.

  • THE LIGHTSABER:]

The lightsaber, the symbol of the Force, and the Jedi is a weapon that is not to be trifled with, not simply a sword, one that takes a lot of focus and a strong connection. Caltin believes in this so much that his own weapon will only be pulled out as a last resort, and this was before he no longer needed it at all. In his initial desire as a Jedi Knight to "take the fight to the Sith", Caltin wanted to learn every form. He wanted to fight Sith on every level. Learning Jar'Kai, as well as how to use a saber-staff also he wanted to be a "monster" of a Jedi in a fight.

Learning each Form, he gained more insight as to why his initial thoughts were useless. No form was better than the other, only different, and that there were no "best" forms, merely ones that built on each other. He learned that he could and would utilize parts of each form into his style, changing up with each move so as not to allow his opponent to predict what he would do next. The big guy was not one to want to kill anyone, but if it boiled down to them or him, then it would happen and he would carry that guilt with him.

  • THE POWER OF THE FORCE

While Caltin is a Jedi philosophically, as far as he is concerned, the Jedi, and the Sith both "have it wrong" when it comes to the Force. To Caltin, the Jedi fear the Force and look for ways to coexist. There is nothing wrong with coexisting, but fearing the Force? That is a self-defeating prophecy that rears its ugly head when the Jedi are faced with a battle. The Force is something to learn, but it is something to experience, and celebrate.

The Sith have it wrong because they look at the Force as nothing more than a tool, or a weapon. "The Power of the Darkside"? There is nothing that a Dark Lord can do that a Jedi cannot, at least in Caltin's view. So what makes them so special? The Force is not a "cheat code" in a boss fight. The Force is only limited by the user's abilities and mind. That being said it is not something that will serve a Sith Forever.

To Caltin, the Force is not about "Light Side" or "Dark Side", those are choices made by the Jedi and the Sith, to him, the Force is a celebration of life. The Force is a symbiosis between him and midicholrians. Though there is no longer a partnership like with the Jedi and the Sith, his own abilities are inherent in his body. The Force is stagnant in him and permanent. He no longer has to reach out or center the Force to do something, he simply does it. He can transfer some of his own energy to another to heal them, he can control himself and another's environment with a simple look. Where the Force would lift something, it is now his own internal strength, speed, power, and agility. He, in a way, could be considered to have the power that many seek out, it boils down to his core beliefs on how he uses them. [/COLOR]

    Dwayne-Johnson-GIFs.gif

  • HOW THE TRIP CHANGED HIM:
"A Jedi's strength flows through the Force. This is the symbiotic relationship that the Jedi (and to a similar extent, the SIth) share with the midi-chlorians flowing through their body. To commit to an act, one that is adept in the Force channels it in a way that it can be manipulated to complete the act. Jumping high? Healing themselves? Another? It doesn't matter what, the principle is the same. Everyone's connection to the Force is different, though. It all depends on how clearly our minds see and hear the Force as everyone hears the Force as it flows through them, but not all are aware of what they are hearing. The more they "hear" the more they can do, in a manner of speaking, and the longer they can go before needing to rest. Caltin was no different with any of this.

    Operative word being "was".

When he traveled to the Wellspring of Life there was a hope that what he was going through was treatable. what ended up happening was something that would never be properly explained. Basically, everything that makes him "him" was "stored off-site" as his mind and body was being repaired. The problem is that the damage to his mind had to be repaired in a way that would destroy his connection to the Force. So that it could be done properly would have killed him over time. So the quandary was how to re-initiate all of his abilities and all of his experience in a new way.

The mind and body were changed so that not he did not channel the Force, or have to focus on an ability to be able to use it. He just used it. He did not channel the Force in his arms, or his legs, he just threw, he just ran and jumped. He cannot sense others in the way that he used to, again this was something. Caltin was now more of a "depository" of the Force, not the channeling. Calitin can now do not weaken over long periods of time.

    He is "Different"

No longer does the Force flow through him. The Force has, in effect, enhanced him, physically, mentally, and physiologically. Make no mistake, there are abilities to which he must still act on and reach out with, however, there are many abilities of the Force that now work for him. He does not have the concern of being drained like in the past. This is not to say that the big guy can fight continuously for the next eight hundred sixty-plus years, but his stamina has increased, as well as his ability to heal. No longer does Caltin have to try to control the pain of a stab wound or a broken arm, it simply happens as the Force immediately begins to heal his wounds. The reactionary period in doing so and the efficiency has increased as well, where once he may need days of rest, or time in a bacta tank to heal, now he needs hours. Where he once needed hours now he needs minutes. thus he can use the Force when needed to exponentially longer than in the past.

The physical side of the Force is in a manner of speaking, Caltin's proverbial "bread and butter". This is where his changes are the most prevalent. The Force has enhanced his already well-known levels of physical strength radically. He can lift and carry naturally already, but the Force now naturally assists in his jumps, he no longer has to focus, nor does he need to focus on running as the Force has increased his speed. He can literally run faster and jump higher without breaking a sweat.

His awareness has increased tenfold as well, much of his reputation as a Jedi had been a result due to Caltin's almost instinctual paranoia. This also increased his mental acuity though, as well as this, along with his time spent in the galaxy has increased his knowledge, and with that his wisdom. The Force, in a way, "caught him up" on the time he spent frozen in ice. While he still must research matters to some extent, Caltin now has a working knowledge of the past eight centuries. Where he had a conversational understanding of three, maybe four languages, Caltin is now fluid in over a dozen. Where Caltin was once only having an understanding of some aspects of galactic cultures and history, he now has a working knowledge.

There is the matter of being able to lift, levitate, pull, push, and throw through the Force. This is where his connection to the Force diverts from the norm as it all dates back to a bolt of lightning. The electrical charge slammed into him and the result is his entire circulatory system was affected by it. Now his reaction and "strength" in the Force itself comes from that electrical overhaul. Where before he could focus on pulling something to him, or lifting a crashed shuttle, like with his physical abilities, the Force is doing the work for him. Visibly what looks different is the electrical field that surrounds everything he reaches for. It quite literally looks like the big guy is casting "Electric Judgment" or "Force Lightning" each time he reaches out. His natural strength assists in the ability to crush targets all by closing his hand into a fist.

Speaking of lightning, his ability to control and manifest the weather has also radically increased there are no longer simple windstorms, there are hurricanes, no longer flames, but infernos, no longer "twisters", but "F5"s. Caltin can control the weather with a thought, a look, everything from a simple sprinkle to a devastating bolt of lightning. He does not need to, but his hands can direct the winds, the rain, and elements with almost pinpoint accuracy.

Every Jedi knows that no one truly dies but becomes one with the Force. The, along with his new "connection" has expanded his courage and mental fortitude. His intelligence and acuity increased, yes, but this expanded courage allows his inner will to fight off most mental invasions and attacks. Where much of his earlier life was physical and still is, Caltin's intelligence and wisdom are expanding on a daily basis and he is taking advantage of it.

Caltin was never empathic in the past, he is now, to an extent. If he knows you, if he has been in contact with you in a manner of training, or conversation, there is a natural connection. Now the massive Jedi Master is able to read your feelings and locate you more readily now than in the past, the flipside is that you are able to read his thoughts easily. This is also the case in those who may not be those he might know right away, but have known someone of a similar name in the past, a Coren Starchaser, a Judah Lesan, a @Chira Viren. They may not be able to read his thoughts like those he had gotten a close bond with, but are able to see, understand, and even recognize him in a manner of speaking.

In short, Caltin no longer uses The Force, he is The Force, or more accurately the Force works for him. This might bring a notion of despotism, but in the end, is always cut short by one simple thing a conversation he had with his father as a very young boy. The conversation that influenced his entire life and has made him who he is today, Caltin promised his father as a toddler to "always do the right thing". Without this forever in his mind, the big guy might have lived a different life and this description of him might be drastically different.

  • He was born into the enormously wealthy and affluent shipping magnate "Vanagor" family. He was a normal child relatively speaking until his family's company was investigated by the Coruscant Guard and the Republic Navy for smuggling and gun-running to not only pirates but to the Black Sun. The company's executives were found overwhelmingly guilty and sentenced to life on separate prison worlds.

His family's assets were seized by the Republic and the company was nationalized, one of the last to be so. Placed in foster care, the family he was sent to not only mistreated him, they beat him mercilessly claiming it was "discipline". He was often hospitalized until his wishes were realized and he was sent to another foster home who ignored him completely. He would soon find himself able to sense when he was about to be in some kind of trouble before it happened. He never avoided it though, oddly enough. Seven foster homes later he found himself in the middle of a gang war on the lower levels of the planet.

He was not involved but happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and several gang members on opposing sides testified that he caused the majority of deaths that happened that day because two of them came at him until they were somehow shoved away, yet he never touched them. At 15, because he was "still a pup" Caltin was sentenced to live out his days in a juvenile detention center until he was old enough to be transferred to a prison colony...

... and he never did anything to deserve it.

Finding himself in an overly large amount of fights due to his always seeming to move and see things others couldn't Caltin became harder, he learned more about Rek'Dul, and Teras Kasi thanks to a guard who took pity on him. He learned how to defend himself so well that he was often avoided by others, however, this often found him trouble as well as he was blamed for fights that he did not cause. The final straw occurred the day of his transfer to a shuttle to Kessel, he was being lead out when a riot broke out in the middle of the path the guards took him on. They were moving him aside when a bottle hit the guard in front of him. Turning around and slamming a stun baton into Caltin's face, he took the kid down and started to beat him with the weapon even deactivating the stun cuffs...

... this was all Caltin could stand.

He allowed himself to be dragged to the shuttle, and when they were in the air, he saw that it was him, that one guard, and two pilots. It soon became just him... he was free. Much of his life was spent on the run after that, he always kept a low profile, but found himself helping those wrongfully accused. It was an odd way of life, but it was his own and no one would dare question it. Caltin didn't search out those beings in those situations, it just seemed to happen. He was always 'just a little' faster and 'just a little' more agile. On the run he soon found out that his 'luck' wasn't lucking at all, it was the Force. He could see things happen before they would, he could react faster than others, he could run faster, jump higher. He didn't know how to control it, but he could do it. He wasn't good enough for a person to be Jedi, but he could still help people.

Finding himself on the planet Tattooine he was exhausted, he was hungry, he was broke, he was almost dead. Yet he still fought, standing up for those who couldn't stand up for themselves, he didn't think about or concern himself with any consequences of his actions until he met Faraday Corbell, a doctor with a small clinic who found him blacked out in an alley near the remains of two Weequay, there had been a fight. Caltin woke up on his exam table saying only "I didn't kill them", not knowing that this was exactly what Faraday was thinking. The next day Corbell's clinic was destroyed in a Hutt Ordered hit targeting Caltin. The massive figure couldn't take it anymore, he left... headed out into the desert. That was when someone showed him the kindness that really no one else would. A moisture farmer took him in, fed him, and gave him a job working on and fixing the droids and converters.

That man's name was Ian Miller... One day he came back from the ridge to find Miller's body, it was drawn and quartered and his daggers were missing. This was the work of a Hutt's gang, Argo the Hutt, that was it. Caltin was going to end it there. He was going to finish this once and for all. Heading into Mos Espa, Caltin was approaching a little Twi'Lek girl names Nurima he had seen so many times before and always shared a wave. This time was different, she looked afraid of him, even passed across the street. The feeling he got from this was so unbearable, Caltin was becoming the very thing he stood up against.

So Caltin left in his ship, "The Fugitive's Revenge", leaving for a place where he knew he would get the help he needed. No, Caltin knew that he wasn't going there to get into the old Jedi Order, he was nowhere near good enough. He needed help though, counseling, psychological, whatever. He needed it. When he got there, he was proven wrong. Those days though are long gone as the massive individual has completely transformed, from a fragile psyche angry individual to a man of peace. A Jedi who searched out the unnatural dangers of the universe, and address them head-on, from Sith to Esh-Ka to RakGhouls to Warrior clans he and his students took the fight to those who would battle serenity.

It was only a matter of time before life caught up with him. The planet Rhen Var was being artificially reanimated by a Sith Lord, or so he had heard, it was an ambush. His ship was hit and crashed into a huge patch of ice and a Dark Sider, master of combustion sank the totaled ship into the frozen abyss. He didn't know about the Jedi Order moving from Yavin VIII to Tython and so on. His family... he didn't know about them, and what happened to them. He would never know until an archaeological dig found him just a few days ago... over 800 years later.

Alone in the universe, he was taken in by the Silver Jedi Concord, but what are they? There is a Jedi Order and another grouping of Jedi, but what are they really? Since sitting down and reading about the Concord, Caltin has begun to realize that he likes what he sees. This is why he is staying, rather than leaving and traveling like he used to do.

    This was his second chance.

As the massive Jedi Master's abilities returned to him, Caltin took the time to learn about the temples and chose to stay on Kashyyk where he was an Honor family member to one of the tribes. Things were slowly beginning to come together and Caltin was just beginning to accept that he was the only one who was from his time when he came across the "one that got away" was alive, then Ala, his adoptive sister. Now he has all of this to deal with, his past and his future. Caltin has suddenly become something he never thought he would be…

    … happy.

That scares him inside because that is when the other shoe always drops.

    He's not a Jedi.

    He's not a Sith.

He's not even (technically) Force Sensitive.

    He's something else entirely.

    Something "more".
