ARCHAE TEUTHIS

In a large, glimmering office building on the water world of Archae Teuthis, assorted business owners from across the galaxy gathered on the neutral planet on the edge of Galactic Alliance space. Up in a gleaming conference room with windows overlooking the vast oceans, corporate types would be listening to an address by Grand Master Valery Noble Valery Noble .

"Welcome business beings to this assembly. A gentle reminder this is neutral territory as is this Guild. Refreshments are on the table, staff can also provide other foodstuffs upon request. Due to the sensitive nature of this assembly, the speaker has asked any lawyers, assistants, or droids to wait in the lounge down the hall. With these reminders, the Moderator yields the floor."

With the opening reminders, the Moderator left the conference room, leaving only the corpos and the Jedi to discuss potential business.

Danger eased herself into her chair, crossing one leg over the other as her assistant set down a refreshment; nothing too thrilling, just one of those fancy lime waters with lemon slices floating in it. Well, hydration was key, even if she would've preferred something with a bit more kick.

The meeting before her was pivotal, one that would undoubtedly shape the course of things to come. So far, her dealings with the Alliance had mostly been through Viceroy Laborr, handling the odd negotiation over medical supplies. But today? Today was different. It was her first official meeting with someone from the New Jedi Order -- no small matter for the Corporate Interest Guild.

And to her quiet delight, it wasn't just any representative from the Alliance, but Grand Master Valery Noble Valery Noble herself. Danger hadn't crossed paths with Valery since that Commonwealth meeting, where they'd chatted about family and swapped holopictures of their children. The memory brought a soft smile to Danger's lips as she settled in, waiting for the rest of the room to quiet and for Valery to share what she had to say.

It promised to be a lively discussion, no doubt. With trade routes at stake and the Corporate Interest Guild's web of interests stretched across the galaxy, Danger hoped the talk would come around to ensuring the smooth flow of commerce through Alliance space. Certainly, Arceneau Trade had already worked with the Galatic Alliance with refugee work and recovery efforts, but this would be a discourse on the corporate world as a whole.

That, after all, was the core concern that linked them all -- keeping the credits flowing and the ships moving. It was bound to be an interesting discourse, one that Danger hoped could lead to new opportunities at the most and clarifying information at what were the expected positions for corporations at its base .

Judah took a sip of his caf, enjoying the warmth of the disposable travel cup against his hand. Outside, the vast ocean was a glittering jewel and he was wondering if he could sneak in some deep sea fishing. An assistant was circling around the room, bringing refreshments before the assembly was to begin. A pastry was set down before him and he stopped what appeared to be some young intern stuck with these duties.

"Excuse me." The intern stopped, silently praying there wasn't a wild request such as a rare fruit. "While we are meeting, do me a favor and book a deep sea fishing charter for tomorrow morning. I might as well get in a little fun before leaving. Thank you."

Not forgetting his manners, he addressed the group of business owners as a whole.

"Everyone is welcome to join me, of course."

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
The promise of a meeting was interesting. She wasn't certain what Valery would discuss but arriving as she entered and found a seat. Black hair pulled up and wrapped around into a bun that exposed her neck with silvery robes. The jedi master placed a finger on the table in front of herself and had a small cup form of tea aas it steamed. Her eyes going up and around to see the others with a bow of her head. A thin smile on her lips where she would be able to prepare her own thing. Valery Noble was here for her own interests but Saori had long been wanting to get the means to renovate some of the other temples. When they were possibly going to move everything she had debated putting a bid in for the real estate. She looked towards the floor to listen to the proposal as information for some of their projects were in her interface specifically their newest structures.

The Last Son
The onyx helmet peered around all of the other Corpos who sought to bring their companies to this expo in some way. Yet Vora was a man who sought to increase his own production of Sithly trinkets and artifacts. Creating them for a customer base that could use them to the greatest effect against whomever they choose. At the end of the day, this was about expanding his own influence in that market. More of a niche, but still a market there. What seemed to irk the man, crossed arms and brooding among those who stood around him, was being so close to Galactic Alliance space. Even more so, being that this expo was nearly headed by Valery Noble. The defacto leader of the Alliance and Jedi Order.

It was not like the heretical Sith Lord to be in company with Jedi. He had already gotten too close for comfort in siding with Imperials in their civil war years ago. Now being so close to these Jedi was not something he wanted. One would not have to look deeply to see this animosity towards them. Yet in the past, Vora spoke of respecting the Jedi. Their tenacity to resist corruption of the Dark side, and those who championed its effects across the galaxy. Instead, the man held himself true. Waiting patiently as others would be using this to garner a possible tie to the Alliance and forge their own connections. Surely there could be something of value to the Sith Lord here?

Despite this, Vora Kaar, awaited the words of the Grandmaster and the connection to the Alliance. Maybe, just maybe there was a way into their structure that was not so- abrasive. The Sith and Jedi could learn much from working together. Instead of fighting on any field or conflict. Yet, with the recent invasion parties against the Dark Empire and the Sith Order, it seemed the Alliance would be on High alert for this.

All the more reason for a Heretical Sith to find a way in and maybe find an exploit among the corpos and Jedi.

Only time will tell.

While she would rather be out in Commonwealth space, both for personal and business reasons, Lady Raaf had seen fit to send Merryn to this meeting of the CIG to hear the petition from the Grandmaster of the New Jedi Order. She and her master weren't... particularly inclined towards the Alliance, for a myriad of reasons, but business was business and she had her orders to maintain her cover as a non-Force User Chief Operations officer and her civility. But the images of her girlfriend near death from an Alliance special agent's shot meant her grip on her caf cup was likely tighter than it needed to be.

"Unfortunately, all my vacation days were used up, but it does sound like an interesting experience, Mr. Dashiell," she would remark.

The resort and tropical world beyond the airy windows of the conference room were enticing, but without her other there, they lacked any pull upon her. She would rather they get to business and hear the proposal. Aurora might not be invested into the Alliance, and she doubted Grandmaster Noble would be open to dealings with a company with very overt Sith ties, but as her master had once said, you needed to be willing to do business with everyone. A lesson Lady Raaf had learned from the Trade Queen herself.

The circumstances must have been exceedingly grave for the Galactic Alliance, prompting them to engage in negotiations with the Megacorporations by dispatching one of their most formidable protectors, Grand Master Valery Noble Valery Noble , to address issues related to commerce and economic theory. This action was likely taken under the guidance and recommendation of the newly appointed Chancellor, Alicio Organa, who had faced inquiries in the Senate regarding the extension of the SILK Act.

Such legislation had allowed corporate influence to spread in areas that were previously under the control of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. An expansion would enable the Trade Federation and the Banking Clan to establish a more balanced relationship with the Sith Order, facilitating profit from both factions involved in the conflict while ostensibly preserving a degree of neutrality.

The Skakoan was pulled from such internal-monologuing by the voice of the moderator ( Voice of the Captalist Voice of the Captalist ) who quickly addressed them before disappearing into the abyss of the crowds.

Numerous influential figures occupied the room, each wielding authority over various sectors of society and numerous industries throughout the galaxy, irrespective of their factional affiliations. However, none could rival the strength of the Federation's Alliance with the Banking Clan, whose collective power in the financial sector was exceptionally formidable.

" AWERROROROROR.....The Queen of Trade graces us with her presence once more. " He said amidst the hissing sounds of the pressure suit, stealthily approaching Danger Arceneau Danger Arceneau , as his movements were rendered nearly silent by the suit, enabling him to glide along the ground in an unnatural manner.

"The New Jedi Order typically does not engage in consultations or dialogues with the Corporate Community. What do you believe to be the underlying motive for the Grandmaster's attendance at this conference? I have my own hypotheses regarding this matter; however, as someone who tends to be more benevolent in perspective, you might hold a contrasting viewpoint which will allow better illumination of the situation." A further comment was raised by the Commanding Viceroy, who sought to understand her viewpoint regarding the decision of the New Jedi Order to engage in discussions with the Corporate Community rather than collaborating with their own enterprises, such as Si Tech and Aether Systems.

He could have been doing so many other things by now, like completing the designs on the new...New Cov domed city he had promised Liin "Tera" Terallo Liin "Tera" Terallo or perhaps continue to follow up on the progress of the Dictator III program, but in stead, the chairman of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation had received a summons by the Corporate Interests Guild in regard to some meeting with a jedi of all things, Valery Noble Valery Noble of all people on top of that.

While he had not yet had the fortune or misfortune to interact with her directly, the fact she was by and large the most influential jedi of this era was not something to scoff at, especially when this particular jedi seemed to have more grip on the Galactic Alliance's politics and financial spenditure than its own politicians and bureaucrats.

Looking up from his seat at the table, the Marquis of Valkan only gave a faint grin when the usual Moderator ( Voice of the Captalist Voice of the Captalist ) made itself heard again. The Eriaduan's eyes turned towards Judah Dashiell Judah Dashiell who seemed to be keen on making the most out of his time on this planet chosen for this particularly peculiar meeting. Shrugging his shoulders, Tertius didn't quite give much notice to the question if there were others to join the man in his planned leisurely activities.

Taeli Raaf Taeli Raaf and Delsin Shaw Delsin Shaw were quite the outliers in this meeting, with one being a well known supplier of the Sith order and the other...well, Tertius knew a lot less about this particular individual, but no doubt they had to have some range of influence to even be present at such a meeting. Ofcourse he noticed the Trade Queen Danger Arceneau Danger Arceneau and the viceroy Rulonom Laborr Rulonom Laborr , the latter following his usual pattern of being relatively loud and up front.

"My apologies, but has anyone got any idea when our... client... is going to arrive?" Holding up his hand, the N&Z chairman merely made his presence known, looking up from his datapad for a moment to ensure he could see if anyone would react. "I know the Galactic Alliance has a rather abysmal track record on expediency, but still..."

Time had gotten the better of me. It was understandable, however, given all of the changes undergoing on New Cov as of late. I did not even have the time to fully read the invitation to discover just what this meeting was about. That in and of itself is enough to not allow me entry, but still I persist in at least trying.

Without a word, I make my way into the hall. There are some that I recognize and others that I do not. That is usually typical for these meetings and I am sure that I will at least have another meeting coinciding with this one that is more of less a follow up. That is at least how it usually goes at any rate.

Quietly I take my seat, not choosing to interrupt any of the speeches or commentary for it is not my place to do so after being tardy. But at least I am here at any rate.

The corners of Danger's lips twitched with amusement at Judah's invitation to join the local deep-sea fishing expedition. In the near two decades they'd known each other, Judah should've known better by now -- Danger had never been one for small boats. The nausea that rolled in with the waves? Oh, that was a hard pass. She'd much rather brave the dunes of the Jundland Wastes than tussle with one of Archae Teuthis from the deep seas.

But the gathering had its merits, that much was clear. Familiar faces mixed with new ones, and Danger took note. @Mastu Ike from Sasori was among the crowd, and she greeted the Jedi Master with a polite nod. Then there was the masked presence of Delsin Shaw Delsin Shaw , a new addition to the Guild. From what she'd heard, Kaar was a connoisseur of Sith artifacts, crafting niche trinkets of dark allure. Knowing the fortune that Rave Merrill had built with her Nightsister Alchemy designs, Danger had to wonder if Kaar might reach the same heights. Even she had indulged in a few Akure products from Rave's lines, including a corset designed to protect against Force-based attacks. It'd be interesting to see what Vora had to offer, both in creation and commerce.

The figure of Merryn Sellek from Aurora was sat nearby. While she hadn't yet formally met the COO, she made a mental note to reach out and introduce herself after the meeting. Regardless, it was another reminder that Danger needed to reconnect with Taeli. Life had been hectic for them both, particularly with family obligations pulling at every corner.

But it was the unexpected inquiry from the Viceroy that truly caught Danger's interest -- her opinion on why the Grand Master of the New Jedi Academy requested a meeting? Now, that was an interesting musing indeed.

She tapped her finger thoughtfully on the table, her gaze far away for a moment before she spoke.

"Well now," Danger drawled, her voice slow and deliberate, "could be a variety of things. From Arceneau Trade's standpoint, my dealin's with the Alliance have mostly been in the areas of refugee work, reconstruction, and providin' medical assistance -- lendin' a hand where it's needed most. With the recent uptick in battles between the Alliance and others, maybe they're lookin' for help in the civilian sector. I don't reckon they'd be askin' for military aid from the Guild as a whole, but on a company-by-company basis, perhaps. Whatever the case, I sure hope this doesn't turn into an ultimatum. I trust Grand Master Noble sees the value in corporations when it comes to maintainin' stable trade and keeping costs down."

Just then, the Marquis's voice cut in with a comment about when the client might show. Danger smiled, a slow, cordial curve of her lips as her sharp, feline-green eyes settled on Teritus.

"Time is money, Marquis Nargath," she drawled, her voice dripping with southern charm, "but there's somethin' to be said for networkin' and catchin' up with old friends, along with any new faces gracin' our presence. With all the chaos goin' on in the galaxy, I do believe we can afford the Grand Master a measure of grace, considerin' how busy she must be."

Her gaze shifted then, catching sight of Director Liin Terallo's entrance.

"Ah, Director Terallo, welcome," she purred with a welcoming smile. "If I'm not mistaken, New Cov Biomolecules has been expandin' recently, yes?" Her tone was smooth, polite, and curious, giving the Marquis room to chime in as well, unknowing their interests were aligned.

If one were to take a cursory look at Noah Corek they would no doubt mistake him for your average citizen and not a multi-millionaire who ran a military industrial company and a private military contractor. Dressed in a simple dark green button up under a brown leather jacket, a pair of dark brown cargo pants and a pair of comfortable sneakers, he gave off the air of a man just going with the flow and trying to be comfortable at a boring meeting.

Of course many people in the room also knew him and knew this was how he preferred it, to be underestimated and overlooked, easier to drive the knife in when someone wasn’t paying too much attention to you. That and the fact it was much easier to conceal a protective vest and weapons while wearing such clothes.

Noah didn’t particularly enjoy events like this and usually sent a trusted representative in his stead, usually his second oldest daughter who seemed to want to learn the family business, but when he heard the attendees and especially the speaker this was not going to be an issue event he missed. Popping a small legume into his mouth from the bowl seating in front of him he waited patiently for the proceedings to well proceed.

This was absolutely unacceptable! Really just beyond reason! They hadn't allowed Ji-Ji to accompany her, and then refused to listen when she explained he wasn't just a droid, or an assistant, or a bodyguard! The full-body prosthetic argument had seemed like it might work for a bit, but then they remembered why she'd wanted him. And there was Sith here. The people that had sent assassins after her and were now poised to take her home in conquest. Had bombed it once already. She'd been without Ji-Ji before, and knew he was still close by now, even seeing through her contacts and hearing the surrounding space better than she did herself. But didn't help. This was with a Sith and their business people in the room. And no, she didn't trust them to abide by the rules because she'd circumnavigated them so easily herself.

Now she was pacing the room by the windows, trying to burn off nervous energy, one arm crossed in front of herself, elbow on hand as she worried at her nail. She forced herself to stop after the second circuit. This wasn't like her, and it was unbecoming. Such a display went against all her training and experience. She was the CIG's representative for Force's sake. She should act like it! Deep breath, hand down by her side. Constantly looking to her AI friend for safety and reassurance these last years might have been a mistake. But he was her constant companion for years on the Boutique and now the Star of Pantora. He did everything for her, freeing her up to explore her interests and grow her Boutique. She had never needed anyone else.

Calming herself, mostly visibly, Chi set about listening in on the people around her. Eventually circulating the room and acquiring a cup of cool tea before drifting over to those she considered the 'core' of the CIG. There were a few things she could say to inset herself in the conversation, but she contended herself with a nod for the group. No smile though, it'd be too forced and she was more than a pretty smile here.

"If it's all the same to you, I think I'll pass."

The cyborg lifted his hand in Judah's direction, his fist clenching and unclenching as he let a small smile touch his lips.

"Repulsors and gravity control solved the whole drowning in water issue, and saved me from having to try to develop cybernetics that could float, but I think they would probably drive away all the fish you're trying to catch."

John could appreciate nature, the beauty and peace in it, it's one of hte things that drew him back to the Spritegate Shore, but in his heart he was a city boy. Fishing, camping, hiking, none of these activities appealed, nature was to be cherished and preserved, but from a distance. There were many others more suitable to taking care and dealing with it, and it was always important to know your limitations. For him, that meant not pretending he was a farmer or a ranger and staying in the workshop or boardroom where he belonged. Speaking off which.

"I hope you're right Danger, but from everything Judah already told us I doubt she's just interested in our assistance with the alliance's refugees and other civil projects. We caught her eye because of the stand we took against the Dark Empire, that was why she wanted to reach out to us, it would make sense then that this meeting would revolve around that embargo and other ways that we can be drawn into the conflict burning in the core. It will be...interesting to see what she offers, and what she's willing to pay. Besides, we already proven what happens when someone issues us an ultimatum, and I'm sure the alliance would hate to be subject to the same deprivations as the Dark Empire, or to be lumped in with them."

In his life John had met all sorts of Jedi, the reasonable who wanted nothing more than to better the galaxy through cooperation, and the crusaders who wanted to push their views, their morality on a galaxy that was painted in shades of grey, rather than black and white. It remained to be seen which kind of Jedi Valery Noble would prove to be.

Ryssa Yvarro stood at the edge of the expansive conference room, her sharp gaze sweeping across the sleek, polished tables where assorted corporate titans settled in the room. The soft hum of conversation mixed with the gentle lapping of waves against the shoreline below, creating a juxtaposition of tranquility and the underlying tension of a potential deal. She was dressed impeccably, her attire reflecting both her status and her disdain for the typical corporate monotony—an elegant tailored suit that accentuated her figure, complemented by the gleaming fleur-de-lis brooch that spoke of her family's storied legacy.

While she was not accustomed to attending these functions, today was different. The stakes were personal. Ivalyn's growing relationship with Merryn Sellek had piqued her interest in the Aurora Industries leader, and Ryssa felt a maternal instinct to understand the woman who held her niece's heart. Though her thoughts momentarily flickered to Josephine and Ethanael, both capable and shrewd in their dealings, while they would be the ones who normally attended functions such as these. Ryssa's motives today negated such an idea.

As the moderator began their address, Ryssa felt the familiar flutter of skepticism rise within her. The moderator spoke of unity, cooperation, and the need for the business community to support the Galactic Alliance's goals. Ryssa couldn't help but see the irony; her own endeavors often strayed far from such ideals. With each word spoken, she weighed the possibilities of collaboration against the reality of her company's reputation and ambitions.

While she listened, her mind wandered to her resources—her paramilitary units and corporate strength. Could any of it align with the Grandmaster's vision? Unlikely. Ryssa's heart, however, was not solely hardened by corporate strategy; it was also stirred by a desire to see her niece happy. Perhaps there was a middle ground to explore, one that allowed for her legacy to expand while ensuring Ivalyn's happiness. Let's see what you're made of, Merryn, she thought, a steely resolve settling over her as the discussions began to unfold.

Rulonom Laborr's inquiry regarding the Grandmaster's true motives lingered in Ryssa's mind. It was a question worth considering. What did Valery Noble hope to achieve here? Was this merely a recruitment drive for support in an ongoing conflict, or something more intricate? The galaxy had been through enough turmoil; any shift in allegiances could spell disaster or opportunity.

As the discussions continued, Ryssa leaned back slightly in her chair, the soft leather cradling her as she observed the interplay of words and power in the room. The atmosphere shifted when Danger Arceneau spoke; her voice, smooth and commanding, drew the attention of every corporate leader present. Ryssa knew Danger's reputation well—an acumen for trade that had carved her a place among the most formidable figures in the galaxy. It was hard not to respect someone who had navigated the turbulent waters of commerce and politics with such skill and determination.

Her words resonated with Ryssa, who felt the weight of their implications. She couldn't deny the allure of aligning with a power like the Galactic Alliance, especially if it meant securing advantageous contracts or collaborations. Yet, she also knew that such alliances often came at a price. The core of her business ethos revolved around independence, an ideal that sometimes clashed with the needs of the greater good.

Noah Corek, known for his arms dealings, embodied the darker side of corporate interests, while Locke represented competition that Ryssa had always kept an eye on. His remarks about the Corporate Interests Guild resonated with her. In many ways, it was true; empires often operated within their own spheres, and the notion of cooperation was often just a façade for furthering personal ambitions.

Ryssa's thoughts drifted toward her own empire—Primo Victorian Enterprises. She had cultivated it with a blend of strategy and strength, fostering subsidiaries that ranged from security to real estate. The landscape of the galaxy was ever-shifting, and alliances formed and dissolved like the tides. She considered how each piece in the room fit into her plans, mentally cataloging potential allies and rivals alike.

Valery stood in quiet contemplation, her amber eyes gazing out of the window toward the endless blue expanse of Archae Teuthis. The weight of the upcoming meeting pressed on her, but it wasn't an unfamiliar feeling. Corporate representatives from across the galaxy had gathered here, and they had already put an embargo on the Dark Empire — which had given the Alliance a significant advantage. Now, it was time to explore how these relationships could be strengthened further, if at all.

But navigating business types required a delicate balance. Many were opportunistic, calculating, and driven by profit above all else. Valery knew she had to appeal to their sense of mutual benefit without appearing too forceful. The corporate world wasn't her usual battleground, but the stakes here were just as high as any confrontation with a Sith Lord.

She took a deep breath, organizing her thoughts. With her composure firmly in place, Valery adjusted her jumpsuit and moved toward the doors of the conference room.

It was time.

Neutral space on the GA border. Perfect place for an ambush. Things were already in motion as far as the Dark Empire was concerned and there was little that they could do to stop it. If word of this meeting slipped, however, he would not put it beyond the Dark Empire to try something. One battlecruiser, even one as formidable as the Morut, was unlikely to be able to stop a concerted attempt, but anymore and it was the Alliance that would start getting antsy. In any event, what with the Dark Empire fleeting having evaded him twice now, he knew Nyles was looking for a chance to set that wrong right.

Then there was the matter of the meeting itself. A meeting with the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order. What the shab could the Jetii want with the Corporate Interests Group he could only guess, which was why he was here. It was also the other reason he'd made sure to put the Morut in orbit, to remind the Alliance that he for one would certainly not go quietly into the night if this was some misguided Jetii idiocy about corporate overreach. The Alliance in its current incarnation was not the biggest fan of corporations.

Ragar, his ever accompanying detail leader who'd walked into haran with him whether it was boardroom or battlefield, echoed these feelings. He could see it in the way he and his rammikade checked around every corner surreptitiously, expecting an ambush or a trap. Shuklaar saw the collection of retainers outside the meeting location. Though it was the figure entering that caught his attention. Seems the Jetii had gotten here first. The sooner they finished the new jump system, the better, being late was starting to wear thin.

"Pare," he intoned over the comms to Ragar, being deliberately vague about whether he was asking Ragar to remain outside like the others or whether he was asking for them to wait for a few moments to let the Grandmaster enter the room. Ragar took his cue however and he and the seven other commandos with him took up a loose formation outside, weapons being held at a low alert carry.

He could easily pick out several familiar faces, some whom he knew personally and some who he did not. Others still he didn't know at all. The two Dar'jetii in the room did not evade his notice, but this was both not the time nor place to start trouble where he needed no more nor did he have the inclination to start anything.

He gravitated towards the group that had formed. Recognizing that aruetii were not usually good at distinguishing one armored Mandalorian from another, he slipped off his buy'ce and clipped it to his belt. Once he'd closed the distance, he flashed a polite smile before adding, "Didn't miss anything important, did I?"

"No takers for the fishing expedition? Not even you Corek? Merryn, I'll send Miss Raaf a message, maybe appeal to her sense of....I'm not sure. Maybe you'll get a chance to join me after all. You shouldn't be punished for taking care of Ivalyn."

Judah sighed slightly. At this point it looked like the only way he was going to get a steady fishing buddy again was to perhaps start his unborn granddaughter at an early age. How early was too early to do so? Technically she could watch him from a stroller as they stood on the shore, maybe holding a rod and reel by two. He'd have to play it by ear.

Listening to the others ,he silently agreed everyone was getting ahead of themselves. It could be a heads up. Could be a call to take care of refugees. Could be nationalization of their facilities. He doubted it was anything too extreme but these were trying times for many governments and desperate officials often too desperate measures. He was keeping an open mind. If anything, even if he didn't agree, the grand master was going to end up providing some nuggets of information. Information in an age where business could be under attack was invaluable.

Just as he was about to ask Corek about his boy, the Grand Master herself entered, followed by a Mando who he was fairly certain had been at their meetings before.

"Grand Master Noble. We were beginning to think you were going stand us up."

I look to Miss Arceneau as she addresses me and bow my head in acknowledgement, carrying with it a polite smile. "Indeed we are, thank you. Business has been going so well that we've been able to enact a few changes." Those changes were quite big ones, but I did not wish to address those just yet. At least not until everything on New Cov was settled.

I watch as others began entering the room and I am a bit relieved that I was not as tardy as I had expected. Although I refrain from any refreshments, if only for a gentle reminder for myself to do much better with my time management in the future.

I listen as some of the members speak, each with their own theories as to what this meeting was called to order for. It gave me some insight at the very least. The Galactic Alliance had suffered some losses and with that possibly some of their territory as well. The gardens of war bear no fruit.

Fishing expedition? It seemed as though I had missed out on an earlier request for the guests to attend. Mister Dashiell had mentioned fishing to me before, however I couldn't imagine it. Most especially as I had never even been on a boat. Honestly this has been the first time that I had ever been near an ocean as well, and it really is quite something. But I cannot let that distract me. Not when there are important matters at hand. I can only hope that the next person he asked; a Merryn, would be able to attend, for Mister Dashiell's sake.

I turn my attention to Valery Noble Valery Noble immediately as she approaches. She knows some of the changes for New Cov; yet they had not been made public yet. I do not wish to let such news go beyond New Cov until after the elections are over. I bow my head to her in kind.

It did not fail to draw attention to one's self with the host and those aligned closely with the Galactic Alliance. Even a rather stalwart Mandalorian showed up with a contingent of troops. As the culture of people most well known for in recent years being the butt of jokes for their planet being destroyed from allied forces time and time again, it stood to reason that one would be cautious of a meeting in which many large benefactors, would be present. Moreover, the recent incursions of the Dark Empire, and the Sith Order in a fight against the Alliance and their Jedi have caused many problems for them. It did not fall on deaf ears of the various economical, and societal tariffs placed on the Dark Empire.

It was part of the reason why the Sovereign was here. Personally.

A man such as him would know very clearly that knowledge, and the application through wisdom is the true power of the universes. A brute without a pen is just as weak as a scholar without a blade. A representative for others also showed. Likely to prevent as much of a stir that Vora himself was causing. Eyes from the Mandalorians. Keeping their hands ready should Vora even attempt to move their direction. Allies of the Galactic Alliance keeping their distance purely because of his presence.

They were angry.

They were fearful.

And Vora consumed all of that. Beneath the helm to no vision of others, a beaming smile as he could feel and even see their reactions to his presence here. The gall to show up! How dare he? It was almost as if that was the explicit point of his patronage to the meeting of the minds. What did surprise him however, was the appearance of a particular woman. Yvarro.

The name was distinctly familiar among Imperial aspects. While not directly part of any recent larger forces such as some kind of Lost Empire, or even the Dark iteration. It was an understanding that the First was where she came from. There was an interesting prospect. This Commonwealth was growing and expanding to a degree. Even more so with the company that supplied them. Much of what Vora knew of them were more closer to rumors and talkings that were several sources removed. A clear thought came to mind of changing that.

The uncrossing of his arms and movement through the hall to the rather lounging woman was met with some eyes following his frame. Closing the distance in an easy approach. Doing what he could to not be outright bolting, but still looking like he was on a mission. Moving to stand beside the chair, his hands folded into themselves. The rubbing of the material met with his helmeted visage playing across the room and its current inhabitants.

"You seem to be enjoying this venture to a greatly lesser degree than myself, Lady Yvarro. Not fond of those here, or the reason for such a gathering?'

While his voice had a deepness to it, it was not grating or obtrusive. In fact rather smooth and calm. A slight metallic tone due to the obstruction of his face, but still having a rather even, and proportional tone. With the end of his words, the vizor came to look down upon the woman for a moment. Not as an act of superiority, but that of attempting to look at the individual they were being spoken to.

A few the Marquis hadn't seen during the prior meeting had managed to appear, but they weren't of the man's concern, for the one he had been most eager to see was the Grand Master, the jedi who had requested this meeting and as such had already brought the Corporate Interests Guild dangerously close to losing its neutrality.

Tertius held no love for the Alliance, in truth he really didn't care much about the core, even though the N&Z had some dealings on a small scale within the core, this was mainly limited to small depots, relay stations and offices for local sales branches.

"Sir Shuklaar Kyrdol Shuklaar Kyrdol , how good to see a mandalorian representative here," The Marquis of Valkan showed a somewhat faint smile towards the man whose company was known to be rather supportive of the TAC, while his own company had been supporting the Empire of the Lost. Still, Tertius held little to no enmity towards the Mandalorian, it was after all just business and whatever side they provided with products, the war would inevitably allow a boon to the both of them. "Shall we get this thing moving on then, Grand Master Valery Noble Valery Noble ?"
