- In public, she is a very formal and business focused individual. Some would say she has no sense of humor, and that they have never seen her crack a smile at a joke. That said, she does make a point of being polite and never showing arrogance, preferring a careful calculation in what she says and does.
- In secret, Merryn is a woman that loves to embrace her anger and rage and finds a sick joy in dispatching opponents with her lightsaber. Among some of the more combat focused Adepts of the Lady of Secrets, she has a reputation for the wide grin she likes to wear when fighting that can be described by some as unnerving.

- In public, she claims she only has experience in using holdout blasters.
- In secret, she is a fully trained Sith Adept that prefers to use her lightsaber in an extremely aggressive and powerful style and the Force to strengthen her physical attributes.
- Combat Function:
- In public, she is almost useless in a fight as she has barely any training and is much prefers her battlefield being a boardroom.
- In secret, she is a fully trained Sith Adept that has focused on the Marauder school of the Sith Warrior. She focuses on enhancing her combat abilities through her command of the Force to make her attacks even faster and more powerful in an attempt to overwhelm her enemies.
- Showing the trust in her abilities the IGBC has in her publicly, and her Master secretly, Merryn is an astute businesswoman and quite capable of handling herself when dealing with other beings in business.
- If forced to act, she is an accomplished Sith Marauder and a powerful opponent for many Jedi. However, it has been expressly instructed by her Master that she is to refrain from combat unless absolutely necessary.
- While she has new power as the CEO of powerful galactic companies, she is well aware her role is a fabrication to allow her Master greater access to the galactic economy. If her Master ever wills it, and only if she disappoints her, she knows her position will disappear in an instant and her Master's plans will be foiled.
- Sith Marauders rely on their rage and speed to overwhelm enemies with their lightsaber skills, trying to end fights quickly and brutally. Against opponents that can resist that fervor, her odds will start decreasing.
On public record, Merryn Sellek was a quiet and focused young woman that was in middle management at the IGBC. A graduate from one of Coruscant's business universities, it was always her goal to impress the board and quietly work her way up the ranks to possibly one day helm one of the various branches of the galactic bank or one of its subsidiaries. She had just achieved an officer position when she was approached to head the latest acquisitions of the bank, Aurora Industries and Spaarti Creations. The two companies had been purchased from the Sith Lady, Taeli Raaf, and as part of the severance agreement, Taeli had to relinquish all control of the companies. Merryn, having impressed the board, accepted the offer and immediately moved to Fondor where Aurora's temporary headquarters was located to assume her new roles.
Secretly, however, it was all a fabrication. Merryn was an Enigma Adept within Taeli's power base and was chosen by the Sith Lady personally to take the role. Normally, she was one of her more combat focused Sith, but her business degree was actually real, and she was someone that could not be connected with the Sith Lady publicly at all. Not wanting to disappoint her Master, and seeing it as a way for her to progress up the ranks to a Paradox Adept if she succeeded or possibly even to one of the Lady's Chosen like Eldaah, she accepted the command with grace. With her Master giving the orders from the shadows, the puppet CEO began the work needed to show the galaxy the company was no longer, publicly at least, in the thrall of the Sith.
