SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Variable Targeting Modes:
    • Single Target: In single target mode, the brilliant missile seeks out and follows a single target, using it's sensor suite to track them. Once in the thermal phase, the missile expends all it's remaining fuel to accelerate toward the target with the aim of exploding on impact or at least within a meter of the target as a directed charge.
    • 'Blast': In this targeting mode, the user selects a group of targets, in which case the missile navigates toward said grouping and detonates as a standard explosive charge in the midst of them with the intent of catching as many targets in it's maximum possible blast radius as is possible.
    • Dumbfire: When required, the missile can be dumb fired, in which case it will expend all it's fuel on a sustained burst moving away from the launcher, and will detonate on impact with the highest possible yield.
  • Semsors:
  • Computer Systems:
STRENGTHS
  • Excellent Tracking: The missile's extremely intelligent droid brain compares sensor data from the launch platform that it downloads prior to launch (part of the target acquisition process) to data from its heat detector and energy scanner at long ranges, as it closes in, it extrapolates the target's signature, at which point it becomes extremely resistant to countermeasures and jamming. The missile will then follow the target till it reaches optimal detonation range or runs out of fuel.
  • Impact Optional: If the missile determines that it cannot reach optimum detonation range before it runs out of fuel, it will instead attempt to reach maximum effective detonation range.
  • Fast and Nimble: The Striilir'ika is an extremely fast and nimble missile, easily able to keep up with most speeders out to it's maximum range.
  • Home-on-jam: As a nasty trick, like the larger variant, the Striilir'ika possess a home-on-jam protocol. In the event that it does indeed lose its original target, it will home in on the strongest source of jamming instead.
WEAKNESSES
  • Jamming: Jamming in the earlier stage of target acquisition at long ranges can indeed overload the droid brain and cause it to lose its previously acquired target.
  • EMP/Ion: While resistant to EMP/Ion damage, any damage that does actually get through will fry the missile's circuitry like a protato in a deep-fat fryer.
  • Volatile: If it takes damage inside the launch tube the missile is likely not only detonate spectacularly, but likely set off other ordnance as well.
  • Sensor Range: The missile's range is very much affected by the range and resolution of the sensor suite of the launch platform.
  • It's a Micro-missile: The Striilir'ika is a micro-missile and has all the limitations of the same. It isn't intended to engage heavily armored vehicles or starfighters, though it could be used to target less defended subsystems on the former.
DESCRIPTION
"It really is the Strilliir's vod'ika!"
-Strill Securities Vornskr Mirshir-Jurkad Rammikade on firing the Striilir'ika for the first time.

Designed to be the younger brother of the Striilir, the Striilir'ika or 'little Striilir' in basic is an advanced brilliant missile with an interchangeable ion/baradium warhead. Given that wrist rockets and micro-rockets haven't reached widespread popularity with non-Mandalorians outside of bounty hunting and scant few mercenary circles, the company's intention for developing the Striilir'ika was for internal use rather than sale. Within Strill Securities ranks, however, the missile is greatly popular.
The Striilir'ika has the same features that make the larger missile popular, notably excellent tracking, intelligent proiximity detonation and terminal phase target tracking, excellent speed and maneuverability and a home-on-jam feature. Of course, being a more or less scaled down version of the larger missile, the Striilir'ika has more or less many of the same problems of the larger missile. It has a tendency to lose track of it's original target in the presence of jamming in the earlier phases of target acquisition, and hasn't rid itself of the larger missile's weakness to particularly potent EMP/Ion weapons nor its reliance on its launch platform's sensor suite.
Additionally, there are a few universal truths that the missile cannot escape. One, the volatility of it's baradium warhead could detonate if the missile is seriously damaged while in the launch tube. Two, the Striilir'ika is a micro-missile, and simply cannot pack enough of a potent charge to affect heavily armored vehicles or starfighters, though it could be potentially used to target less defended vehicle subsystems.
