THEED, NABOO

Mutalisk-SC2-Hot-S-Art1.png

Herald of the Unmaker: Magog
Hatred was power.

When the Young Wolf traced his agonies back to the beginning...when he walked the roads of history...he always arrived at the same destination. There was one person - a single soul - who had left him to rot. And for what? For what unholy reason would a sibling abandon the brother they swore to protect? Simple. Power. Seren did not realize this at the time and was deluded into believing that his dearest sister had simply fallen in love. But as time moved ever forward, the scales fell from his eyes. She sought a place where she could rule without the stench of their sire's oppression. A place where she could have power that was hers - not their lineage's. And so she gathered a cult around herself and, for a time, dug roots into Confederate soil.

And Seren wanted to make it all burn.

Every step she had taken. Every breath. Every word. He wanted to turn to ash. And there was one who was oh so willing to equip him for this great work. A being who heard his cries from beyond the veil of death - the Unmaker. And so this divine being bestowed upon the Young Wolf power, and a responsibility. He would be one of his many Heralds. He would burn the Southern Systems to the ground. And when it was ash, the Unmaker would hand him vengeance. It was a simple enough trade. And every word of the deal left the Wolf feeling satisfied. He had been alone for quite some time now. Alone and devoid of purpose. Meaning. But the hatred remained.

Now, he had somewhere to put it. Now, the cries of the people were as music to his ears.

From the dark depths that swirled above Naboo came a monumental figure. Wings outstretched and bathed the buildings in shadow. The beast was draconic in nature and took flight with mighty beats. The Wolf was the master of this monstrosity. His form was inexplicably melded with the drake - his legs were grafted by sinew and scale into the beast's neck. And a shell of spikes concealed him from view. He could "see" through the creature's many eyes. And grinned as opportunity presented itself.

"Let's have some fun shall we?"

With a wicked grin plastered upon his face, he willed the drake forward. Heat roiled inside its lungs before being expelled as a MIGHTY column of flame. The inferno burned through the first structure and collapsed it immediately - before spreading and washing down the connecting street. The devastation was as a river crashing through Theed.

And there was far more where that came from.

The woman lifted the wrench high above her head, while Blue Squid kept tinkering the fuel pipes of the Red Hare. This ship never ceased to break something... no surprise with how much Diana had tinkered on it. But it felt so odd to realize this object carried her everywhere and yet it was hardly whole at times. Yet currently the muscular woman turned her wrench with vigor until she received a notification on her communicator. With a simple voice command the object whizzed to life and spoke the words that would change her life. The sky had broken and now, just returned from the training with Kristyl Vaashe, they would have to fight a new enemy. This time however it would be for real... no training as she had done mere days ago. She rolled away from under the engine and gave a series of commands to the robots that floated around her ship.

They were to ready her suits, prepare her arsenal and deliver the Red Hare to orbit. Her communicator would serve to get recon from them as well as they could from low orbit while she would fight on the ground... Her mind ran towards the young woman.... what would happen if the young girl would have to face...

As she thought on the girl she had just trained a shriek could be heard. From the sky a monster appeared, long purple tendrils eveloped a sack of eggs, seemingly squeezing a few of them into a state of aliveness to dump the small enterties into the hanger she found herself in. She didn't think, she ran in and grabbed her lightsaber. The object was 3 doors down the corridor, and by the time she reached it the alarms sounded aloud. Everything wanted it, and they would not wait longer.

Her room was a spacious homely one, to her at least. The metal and stark white made for a clean look, only hindered in their appearance by the grand decoration of tinkering and armours. She did not hesitate and ran to the weapon she kept so often by her side. The black iron hummed to her appearance as if a mind of its own. She reached out her metal hand and the left piece of her pulled her saber into her hand. A long red rod, screwed to the bottom was attached to it to make a pike, only to have Diana continue her arsenals expansion. Small armour that she could find put on in a flesh she found herself in a suit that, to her liking, hugged her skin too tight. The glove suit however was perfect for the agile fighting she was going to have to do. Reaching for her bombs and other objects the ship rumbled. Ready to lift off so she would have to leave or find herself in low orbit.

Her long strides took the woman to the hangar, jumping out of the hatch and landing just before the ship took off. She had to go find survivors and re-group with fellow knights. She had to survive. Her comm's whizzed to life as the voice of Blue Squid rung through the hall:

"Captain Sophistica, contact made. Orbital sight engaged and awaiting your call. Comm's standby"

She turned the Comm unit on her hip to open, and started running. In the hangar, just as her ship left, the small alien seemed to come to life. The lifeform a whole few feet taller then her, whizzing tentacles and roaring teeth stretched in unnatural shapes and nauseating gurgles. She turned and ran, this one would be fine for others, she needed to waste as little time as she could.

She ran, through streets that were once happy, bustling. Now they were overrun by death and decay. Monsters ripping limb from limb and head from body. Covered in a blood that seemed to be only those of the deceased, her hands quivering she arrived at the exit of the street. Once here stood the mighty academy, now stood only the halls that once housed such a name. She breathed as her force sight, shining her eyes an emerald green, shot across the street. She noticed a shape. A girl whom she knew. She walked towards her, in the outfit she had never shown her, covered in blood and gore with her red hair tangled by the skirmishes. Grabbing her by the collar she pulled her up, two tall monsters crawling down the walkway of the academy.

"Kristyl, get your ass up and helping people. We are getting the students out of that academy and towards safety. Think you can take some of these down? I'll cover you, you cover me."

With a grim look Diana then pointed at the monsters. Green and purple, pus of yellow and eyes bloodshot and vile. Her hand lowered, blood trickled behind them... she sighed and steeled herself. She had to believe her student would follow suit as she gestured she would go ahead and ran towards the two closest creatures. Her hands stretched out the red hair of the woman shone grey, her skin paled and with careful methodical steps the skin on the creatures turned a crystal, ice. Cryomancy, a distinct skill Diana possessed. The hands, slowly regaining colour as her hair did, grabbed a lightsaber and cut one of the creatures in two with a golden blade. The other breaking free, ripping tentacles from their bulbous body and knocking hard against the woman's back. She stumbled and turned, slashing the creature with her masters blade while her other hand grabbed for the pike. It was clear Diana was already tired from the fights she had on the way. But it would have to do. SHE would have to continue no matter what.

What a bad time to be on naboo. Just the cathar's luck that he'd be turning in a bounty on the CIS capital planet when the sky itself opened up. It was by sheer luck that he was in his armor due to having just turned in a bounty. Alongside this, he had his prized pistol, the I'zêorra stjolkk, in a leather holster on his right thigh. His blue lightsaber was just above it on his gunbelt. His preferred rifle, the TDW H.A.R.M, was slung over his left shoulder to rest on his right side so that he could easily pull it up to aim. His preferred shotgun, The Mule, was in a holster on his lower back, ready tp be drawn should anything get too close.

He would come to realize how lucky he was to be armed as he stepped out of the local bounty office. A horrid roaring sound pierced his ears, drawing him to look up at the sky. The sight caused his full pupils to instantly dilate into slits out of sheer shock. Then they fell from the portal, the spawn of hell. With trembling breath, he speaks into the holocom on his wristpad. "Uh...Red? I'll send you my location. Get to me as soon as you can. Leea? I need you to bring the ship around when I tell you, and keep Madlad close. Watch the skies." He says, having directed his holocom to have his words speak over the intercom of the Crimson Wolf. Even as he spoke, the screams were beginning. Blood flowing from the nearby alleys, blasterbolts flying as the guard force struggled to mobilize. Screams reached his ears as a woman and a child fled from the same bloody alley, a hulking creature covered in teeth with fleshy red skin and yellow eyes lumbering behind them. The cathar instantly draws his pistol, two gunshots ringing in the air as two 14mm projectiles impact the beast's skull, causing it's brains to splatter against the wall as it collapses to the floor. With the beast slain, he points at the two civs, and gestures to the guard force that's further down the street. "Get over there, I'll make sure nothing comes in behind you!" He calls out over the deafening noise.

As he suspected, various scum from the skies began making their way out of the nearby alleys, buildings, and streets. There were too many to count, and the horde only got bigger. Taking up his rifle, he begins firing shots into the horde as it closes it, backing up in pace with the various fleeing civilians that were running to the collection of guards down the street. who had formed a weak perimeter, but something to protect people nonetheless. The freaks varied in shape and size, but most of the grunts, some of them being former citizens, seemed to have the relatively same height. He breathed an internal sigh of relief. In this situation, that would be his saving grace. While he wasn't aiming anywhere in specific, he makes sure to keep his rifle affixed at the relatively same angle as he fires so that a large volume of projectiles end up impacting the beasts that make up the horde were taking fire to the skull. The sheer amount of headshots and bullets going through heads to hit other targets would hopefully thin out the horde enough for him to hold them back until Zlova arrived. Thankfully his strategy was working out. He had wiped out the front of the mindless horde, causing many behind to trip on the dead bodies. This gave him just enough time to reload his weapon. With his weapon fully loaded, he chucks a thermal detonator into the horde while they're still tripping over the dead bodies. He then activates his rocket boots, launching himself further back away from the horde so that he was right by the guards who had assembled in a feeble attempt at a perimeter against the overwhelming forces. Body parts and chunks of flesh cake the buildings along the street as the thermal detonator goes off, putting a massive gap in the enemy forces on that street. Though it would be refilled soon enough.

Various civilians had gathered in the center, and the guard forces were dwindling due to being charged from all sides. Only 10 men were left at this point, and they were panicking too much to even hope to survive.

"Talohn Verd! I'm here to help." He calls out as he lands beside one of them. He didn't typically throw the name Verd around, but it had weight here, and these soldiers needed something to rally them more than anything right now. The soldiers instantly began speaking over eachother, begging and asking what could be done as the hordes got closer and closer. "Leea, I've sent you my location, bring the ship now!" He says into his comm, voice raised so he can be audible over all the noise. With that said, he begins issuing orders to those around him. "All of you form a perimeter like you've been! Aim for the legs and the big ones up front. The horde will slow down if they're tripping over the front line! You've got thermal detonators, right? When they're all tripping, blow them to shit!"

He then points at two men who have scatterguns instead of regular blasters. "You two! Stay near the center with the civilians. If any of he fliers get too close, blast them!" The soldiers move about to take the orders, moving into various positions to continue laying fire down on the foes coming down upon them from all sides. Talohn makes his way to each side of the perimeter, firing shots and providing aid where he can. All the while, he sends out messages over all the channels through the comm in his helmet.

"This is Talohn Verd! I'm broadcasting my location! I've set up a perimeter and have a ship on the way to help evacuation efforts. I need somewhere to send them, and reinforcements to hold the line! There's only el-" Before he can finish, a street sign flies fast enough from further down the street to whistle, taking a man from the defensive line in front of him off with it as it impales him to the wall behind Talohn. "Oh fuck!" he hisses in surprise before continuing his words into the comms. "There are ten of us! We won't hold long we need someone here NOW." Thankfully his software has a useful little feature. With the tap of a button on his wristpad, his message is considered recorded, and he continues replaying it over the channels, hoping someone hears it amongst all the traffic.

Just as he finishes speaking, another rift tears open in the sky, a grotesque and massive flying beast casting a shadow from above as it exits the hole in reality, flames leaving it's mouth as it proceeds to engulf most of the city surrounding them in flames soon after. The fire reflects in Talohn's feline eyes as his mouth falls agape. "Sa'ra sko vishu..." He mumbles to himself. He steels himself with a deep breath. There was nothing he could do about the dragon right now. He had to focus on what he could do.

With a slightly scared shake of his head, he loads another magazine into his gun, and continues the goal of all the confederates currently on Naboo. Through fire and flame, he holds the line.

Before the Invasion of Naboo

Nightmares. Were they premonitions of the future, or were they just fears of what could be? Allyson wasn't a stranger to demons. Usually, they were filled with what happened on Corellia. Constantly digging for those she loved only to see that she was too late. More recently, she found herself on a balcony watching hellfire rain from the sky. Was it memories of Rhand? Coruscant? Or could it be something that had not happened yet? Either way, she didn't dare bring it up, fearing what the answer would be.

She had felt Taiia leave her hold. The cool air from their window blew in, only confirming that Taiia was no longer there. It scared Allyson, but feeling through their connection that the woman was not far comforted her enough to remain asleep.

"Get up, my love, I need your help," Taiia spoke carefully, her voice penetrating the nightmare. Allyson opened her eyes, staring back at the woman's face. Her world crashed around her, and she nodded. "I'm here," Allyson whispered between them. Whatever was coming had been crying out, and if someone like her - someone so weak in the force heard it. She could only imagine what Taiia had been hearing.

Present Day

Allyson looked to the sky, both of her eyes locked onto the monstrosities that broke through the clouds. She had listened and learned from what Taiia had told her. This unmaker was someone that the Knights Obsidian had been dealing with. From her understanding, this was something inevitable. Allyson had known this, and despite her urges for Taiia to leave Naboo - the woman wouldn't budge. So instead, Allyson remained on Naboo - hoping that this day never came.

Once more, Taiia's voice cut through the fog of Allyson's mind. Looking at the woman, she sighed softly and smiled. "I'd do it, but I honestly wouldn't know what to feed 'em." Shrugging, she forced a laugh, "Doubt they'd enjoy whiskey-soaked kibble." Humor, a mask to wear to hide the fear the Corellian could feel sinking into her bones. The look on Taiia's face told her that the woman knew the answer to her question. "I'm not leaving you, not now, not ever."

Taking her hand, she pulled her close and caressed lightly against her cheek. "In this life or the next, Taiia Mataan, I'll always be yours." At that moment, nothing mattered as Allyson kissed the woman she loved. The world wasn't falling apart around them, there wasn't some extraterrestrial or unholy being wishing their demise, and for once - everything was right.

"Let's go." Allyson pulled away and nodded, waiting for the sudden pull of the woman's teleportation.

The flowers of the Estate's garden swayed, sighing with each breath of wind. The day was perfect, the sky a deep blue and the sun warm against her ivory skin. Abel's appearance that morning had only contributed to the overall feeling of contentment the day had brought, yet unaware of the dark tide waiting to overcome them...

Dread coiled within her like a snake, a glacial chill moving through the atmosphere long before she heard the booming sound of the heavens being ripped apart, witnessing a darkness descend on them like nothing she'd ever seen. In a brief moment of weakness, Osenia stood frozen with fear. Not for thought of herself, but for her sisters and all of those under her house whom they'd sworn to protect.

Only the sound of Abel's voice woke her to action, gasping with a start.

"O-on the east end of the gardens is our families shrine, we can fortify ourselves there and escape through the tunnels built underneath." Running to the far side of the garden, Osenia tapped on the backside of one of the garden's statues, a hidden console revealing itself at her touch. She could hear her heart thundering inside her head, screaming at her to move faster.

Fingers moved quickly across the screen, alerting the KX-Security Droids along the outside perimeter and activating the
kakine electron wall. While it would not stop what was already within the walls of the Estate, it would keep any more from making their way through - at least temporarily. "That should help buy us some time until they figure out how to deactivate the generators."

Attached to her hip was a single holster with a blaster that pressed against her thigh, Osenia reached down to arm herself. The seconds ticked.

" Hisashi Hisashi , I don't have time to find my sisters, nor Baros Sal-Soren Baros Sal-Soren . I need you to locate them, and make sure they are safe. If the way is clear, escort them to the shrine. If not, make your way to the hangar and find whatever shuttles are available. Go, now! Everyone else? Save who you can, fight like hell, and leg it!"

Theed had descended into chaos, the signs of an Armada of unknown size blazing a path of destruction towards Naboo had him and what defenses Felix could muster to make their way to the capital of the Confederacy against the ever-growing tide of evacuations. Felix had taken a piece of a battleship that had been in construction with an experimental weapon implanted upon it, using the day they'd had to prepare to integrate it as a turret in one of the many Parks within the city. The gun was a massive unit, a plasma-railgun capable of firing projectiles with their own hyperspace rating powerful enough and accurate enough to intercept and destroy capital ships in hyperspace. Over the

It had taken the better part of Fourteen hours work to integrate it into a grid that could power the Hypercannon with a repulsarlift system that enabled it to fire within atmospheric conditions. Its sensor systems targeted to detect hyperspace patterns down the Hydian way as Ships would attempt to make their entrance into Naboo's system. It was only one gun, but being able to destroy major ships by surprise, in hyperspace could obliterate formations, morale and even cause cascading damage in hyperspace to ships that happened to follow behind them.

The monsters however, were not an expected complication.

Felix stood eerily alone in the open park as Monsters began to tear forth from the nether, screams erupting from every direction, scientists and engineers running for cover as the Ziz powered up for its opening shot. The massive amount of power the cannon was about to unleash causing lights to flicker across the city blocks surrounding the park. Felix, pressing a communications device to his lips would announce. "Lord Felix Aquila at Organa Park, We're under attack by monsters requesting assistance!" But it would be in later feedback he would begin to learn that it seemed much of the city was under a similar attack... It was likely that they would be alone.

As the monsters oriented themselves, sniffing out the meat that they would Felix would charge for long range communication device. They needed targets and they needed them now. The Sensors picked up fleets moving through hyperspace approaching Naboo from the other direction, likely friendly. "Defense team from Naboo, We have experimental weapon support, if you have targets that are giving you trouble point them out, and we'll send them to meet the force."

It was with that sentiment the first shot of the Ziz was fired, Targeting a b

Objective: Defend the Capital.

"Kristyl, get your ass up and helping people.
We are getting the students out of that academy and towards safety.
Think you can take some of these down? I'll cover you, you cover me.
".
She hadn't expected to run into Diana so soon after their trip to Pii III together. The training they had shared had been gruelling, yet neither of them had anticipated the following days would ensue in any horrific manner such as this. Looking up to the older Woman, Kris was thankful to see someone she recognized and knew to be of skill in combat, soon being hoisted back up to her feet involuntarily, stumbling a little before turning to look in the direction the Knight was pointing.

"What...Are those...-Things?" Kris questioned aloud as her gaze took in the vile creatures, with no sense of familiarity about them despite all of her time spent reading over archive files on foreign species of the Galaxy. Kristyl had a passion for all things beautiful in nature, but this was crossing some clear boundaries in which insulted one's general senses. The ghastly monstrous creatures made their way across the Academy walkway towards the pair, trailing blood in their wake, sickly eyes locked onto Kristy as if she were their next lunch.

She had no choice but to stand beside Diana Sophistica, reaching for the first lightsaber her Mom had ever owned and igniting the silver blade with a vibrant splash of light and a snap of energy expelling from the hilts emitter, a stable thrum of power churning from the weapon held tightly within her right hand, moving to position it before her in a readied stance, sword held horizontal and pointing away from Diana who stood to her right. "I..." Kris began to respond yet Diana was already on the move; "Got this..." she finished in something of a defeated mutter before forcing herself on ahead in tow of the woman.

Whatever these beasts were, they didn't feel or look normal. Kristyl ran directly towards one of them with her lightsaber veering backwards in an attempt to gain momentum for a wide-sweeping slash, yet she had to quickly throw herself into a somersault as the monsters long-clawed tentacle shot out to gouge her where she ran.

Carrying herself through the air, Kristyl spun herself over in a full flip aided by the Force and slashed down below where the beast's arm would meet her blade, cutting through the flesh of the monster with precision and felling it to the floor, wriggling and spilling blood out where it lay. The creature screamed a harrowing bellow, only seemingly growing more hostile as Kristyl had landed behind the thing, and turned with the hilt of her lightsaber now in both hands, stepping in and driving the weapon forward in a stabbing lunge catching the monster between its disgusting eyes.

This would be the first life of something that she'd taken. Her movements had been quick and at the time, she'd barely had a moment to think to herself, yet as she felt the life of the creature suddenly dissipate from the natural world, the lightsaber deactivating as blood pooled between her and the warm corpse she had created. "Oh Gods...-I didn't mean to do that..." she spoke through a hastened gasp, trying to catch her breath and control the wealth of emotion that seemed to flood her at that moment. "You stupid thing!" She cursed, "Why'd you make me do that!?".

For as long as Oleander could remember, he hadn't felt right. There was an aspect of him, small enough to sometimes go forgotten, that had been left incomplete, hollow. Nevertheless, he'd gone about his duties, engrained himself as a presence within the Knights Obsidian. And in time, that hollow piece had grown smaller, nearly inconsequential, filled by a sense of duty, comradery.

If he had to guess, the battle of Rhand had marked his beginning of the end.

He'd shared a piece of himself with Vemric Keldra, inspired by the others' commitment to his crew, his ship. That stretch of power had failed him shortly after, when he confronted the traitor Dimitri Voltura. From there on, things only progressed. His temper turned volatile, hunger turned ravenous, tendency to wander transcended to urge to leave. Yet urges be damned, he couldn't take to the stars, not yet. As knight, he was bound to the people of the confederacy. Looking back now, perhaps he'd venture to say it was all preparatory, enhanced instincts pushing him to prepare for calamity his consciousness hadn't caught on to. As Death, he was bound as a witness to the end.

When the Unmaker made itself known, things started to make sense.

Oleander had slipped into the team lead by knight Denko. Being under the tutelage of Gerwald Lechner Gerwald Lechner had allotted him a place of mobility among knights. He came and went as needed, letting the Force be his guide, especially on days such as this. When the casual house call turned to protection detail, his saber snapped to his hand. A deep inhale had him taking in the scenes they were shortly fleeing from. Shrieks cut short, guttural grunts turned roars as hunters found their prey. A chilled cold ran down his back. Was this dread? Or perhaps something more?

There was no time to ponder the sensation taking root in his spine. The Anzat's keen senses had him cutting down one of the creatures as it found its way to the small group, transparent blade leaving only the palest whisp of color as it sliced through flesh and blood. Oleander's cool gaze slid to each of the team in turn, taking quick inventory of who he suspected would hold their own, who would need extra support.

"Keep close, keep fast. I'll bring up the rear."

The entirety of the planet had gone to absolute chit. Everywhere you turned, people were fighting or dying. Buildings were shattering apart or blown apart, blood was running in the streets, and the amount of corpses piling up was something straight out of an old horror holo-film. Yet none of that had deterred Caius from his venture, none of it had slowed him down, not even for a second.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew that he should have been dragging his siblings from their home. Making sure the twins and his baby sister were on a shuttle off of this very clearly doomed rock. But he had not even looked in the direction of the Bardot estate when his feet hit the streets. No, when chaos ensued, his feet carried him in the opposite direction without so much as a hint of hesitation.

Reaching the governor's office had been no small feat. By the time Caius had breached the doors, he was a mess, covered in blood that was both his and not, and his expression was somewhere between wild and frantic. "Alora!?" he bellowed out into the confines of the floor he had reached. Why she was here and not already evacuating was beyond him, but it didn't matter. He would drag her from her office, kicking and screaming if he had to. He could still fight one handed with her braced over his shoulder if the need arose to do so. "Alora, where are you?!" he called out again, this time moving forward so that he could actually search rather than just yell and hope she answered him.

For a woman who had destroyed him as thoroughly as this one had - twice - he was beyond determined to get her the hell out of his office and evacuated safely from the planet.

The wolf had been sounding the warning since Voph had conferred the mantle of Lord Commander upon him. There would be more coming. The eye was not one thing, but the prelude of more to come. In truth, the Confederacy had fallen asleep, grown fat and complacent. It was not a conclusion Gerwald liked coming to, but the evidence around him convinced the lupine that it was true. Did it change his loyalties, no. The wolf was a loyal creature at the core of who he was. Too much had happened during younger years when he lost track of that.

If The Confederacy of Independent Systems faced disaster, Gerwald would not let it happen without a fight.

Rumors had pulled him from his duties on Stewjon. Promises had been made to his squire Palm-Imer Palm-Imer that they would restore her connection to the force, no matter how long it took. It was a promise that as of yet Gerwald had not been able to deliver on. Life seemed to lead him to making promises he could not keep, but this one he was determined to see through. He had failed to bring Naedira back too many times, a fact that still haunted him, but he would not fail Palm.

He could not.

She was a warrior, a fighter, which was why this time Gerwald did not deny her what she wanted most, to keep her word to him. Today the geminae would fight at his side. They were efficeint together, at least when she could touch the force. Today would be a true test. Without the force would she still anticipate his movements? Would she know what he would do, and would he know how she would follow through. This was not a dance they had made before, not without the force.

The wolf was worried.

Duty did not allow him to put to words the reason he worried, even feared. The golden gaze of the woman would not need the force to see the emotion radiating off Gerwald as he scurried about his personal armory. Of all the weapons and armor Gerwald had, only three things mattered. Wolfsbane, Ferrum Solus, and the hammer which had been a gift from @Luanra Azure. Where was she? They would have to find her as well. Once his weapons were secure, Gerwald began to run.

His steps could be heard echoing through the halls as the cadence of his squire echoed behind him. The Lord Commander spead to take in the sights with his own eyes. Everything had been sudden and without warning. They had prepared for this, planned for the day catasrophe would strike, but had they expected it?

A deep breath pulled into Gerwald’s lungs.

Chaos.

Devastation.

Destruction.

Annihilation.

Words failed to describe what the wolf witnessed. Whatever was happening around them would never find adequate description in any spoken language. This was an enemy they would not stop. All they could do was survive.

<<< “I need a report,” >>> the wolf shouted into the comms.

He would wait the news, morbid as he knew it would be, before finally turning to the woman at his side.

“There is no promise you have made me that I will hold you to today, and of all the ones I have pledged to you, there is one you know I can never break. So I am asking you… if it comes to it… let me keep it.”

She would know what he was asking. If this was his day to die, to give his life for another, Gerwald had already accepted it. Could she? Would she?

Blue eyes turned in time to see a familiar face. They had met recently but the brunette could be none other than Valery Noble Valery Noble . She was with another, and they were in trouble.

They moved in time to avoid the falling debris. Gerwald looked up to see a sight he had only dreamed of.

A dragon.

Releasing its breath, the flames targeted the Jedi Master and her Padawn. Reaching toward it, Gerwald used the force to call a massive gust of wind to redirect the fire. It would not be effective for long, but long enough for them to move.

“RUUUUUUN!”

She was huffing and panting. Worn out from the seemingly never-ending stream of creatures that had come for blood. She didn't understand how soldiers could do this all day long. Working the docks was hard work of its own brand. But this...this was absurd. She watched something come in from the sky, belching fire and destruction before it went skyward.

A line opened on the comms, something even hers could pick up at a request for help. People evacuating. A safe place nearby that was soon to be overwhelmed.

A satisfying crunch of a skull decided her path as she finished off another creature. The plating of her arms scarred and punctured in the previous fights. Her guard had brought a terrifying claw close to her face, a manic gibbering into her helmet that she would likely remember till the end of time. Another had nearly taken her leg off in a surprise attack from behind.

Barely saved by a neat roll backwards that had made the creature release or threaten to dislocated its arm under her combined weight.

That leg throbbed in pain, having come away with some kind of injury that she couldn't see. That she couldn't acknowledge as she thought about the comm line and sent her reply.

<<"Talohn Verd, I'm moving to you. I'll be coming in from...some side. Hard telling. Just don't shoot the big-arm human in a suit alright?">> She sent down the line, recalling the map she had looked at earlier before taking a second to calm her breathing. A squall from down the street forced her into a sprint down the way.

Glancing up at signs as she beat feet as best she could. The Rumbler was beginning to feel heavy finally. Time and effort a greater boon for the things that were attacking Naboo than any single weapon could be.

Mechanical fingers dig into a wall as she pulled herself around it in her mad sprint. The scene of creatures clamoring for their targets greeting her as one spun and grabbed a sign out of the ground before whipping it at her. Arms came up instinctively as she twisted on her feet, angling her guard as the sign scraped across the guard plates.

She'd made it to the coordinates, but now the real work began.

It screamed at her, and she charged forward with a downward punch and caught a leg beneath the metal knuckles and the ground with a satisfying squeal of pain. It writhed for a moment, it's arms lashing out as she slid backwards and ducked under another creatures swing.

She had to get the outer area cleared, keep those inside safe for a bit longer. Doing what she did best, mechanical fists kept hammering on legs and limbs to disable or cripple. Make the offending things less capable or at least hinder them. She waded through the rear line of creatures, the sounds of grating metal, hissing hydraulics, and breaking bones the announcement of her arrival.

The War had not gone well for the Confederacy, it’s military, despite being massive, was stretched thin between the planet side invasions of space terrors and the space armada made of it’s enemies. They were coordinated and the Confederacy’s vast expansion coupled with the inadequate planning for a multi front war had left it’s military in shambles, world after world falling, until the remaining forces concentrated on and around Naboo for the inevitable collapse of forces onto the system, it was only a matter of time.
Valeria was on the bridge of her flagship the Raven’s Hymn, having a meeting with one of her subordinates Ren Ashbridge who had come to deliver a report on the operations to find a new headquarters for her company which he headed, when the armada entered the space of Naboo exiting hyperspace at an alarming rate. The armada almost immediately began firing upon the Confederate forces already in orbit. A concussion missile exploded on the armored hull of the vessel before the shields could be raised and it let everyone know that they had come, and come to fight. Thankfully the explosion hadn’t caused a hull breach, only damage to some of the armor on the port side. The explosion reverberated through the hull and as it did more and more creatures came into view. The crew got the shields up and ordered the hangar bays, which were already on standby, to launch fighters, the ship’s sensor readout being filled with hostiles. The sounds of alarm blaring and the call to Action Stations being heard throughout the ship. Valeria quickly took initial action.
“Helm, ahead full, lateral heading 3-3-0, vertical pitch negative six degrees, ten degrees port rotation. Target the nearest group of capital ships, weapons free! Coordinate our targets and further evasive movements with the fleet as required, maintain optimum firing angles, damage control teams on high alert.”
As the Raven’s Hymn began to move so too did Valeria’s fleet of Ardent Class fast frigates and as it happened Valeria sent a message to her fleet:
“To all vessels of Battlegroup Valor, the day has come when our enemies have arrived at our home's doorstep to extinguish our way of life. I say how dare they show their faces here so we must show them their mistake. We will maintain our formation and the fleet will coordinate fire with the Raven’s Hymn. We MUST make them pay for every millimeter of space so, let’s get to work.”
The void of space filled with the bright glow of turbolaser, pulse cannon and missile fire, the fighter and bomber craft fighting amongst this deluge of fire, orange glows of explosions of the Corsair Armada’s light ships buckling under the fire of her fleet and their own hubris at rushing at a Nebula Class in a corvette sized vessel. Valeria had coordinated her fight in a small section of space that, with her limited numbers, she knew that she could whittle down to produce a bulge in their lines to perhaps punch through as they were lighter in number there. Valeria also hoped for some reinforcements though she knew that was little more than wishful thinking with the current state of the war.
Valeria lit up a cigar as she watched the initial stages of battle commence, her enthusiasm only increasing by the moment since she lived for and loved a good fight after all. The final battle of the Confederacy had begun and she would do her utmost to succeed but she would not die here and certainly not against the least sophisticated people, she used the term loosely, in the galaxy.

//: Allyson Locke Allyson Locke //: Open //:

Taiia let out a strained but honest laugh at the response to her question before offering a smile toward Allyson and shaking her head. "Yes, I see now the error of my ways" she chuckled once more before the brunette answered her truthfully confirming what she knew already. Taiia was pulled closer to the brunette and a hand placed upon her cheek. As Allyson stroked her cheek Taiia allowed herself a moment to lean into her hand content at the small gesture but as always wishing the galaxy would not be so eager to pull them apart. "Part of me wishes you would go, whiskey-kibble or not. Yet another part of me is glad you will be with me no matter what happens.." Taiia was about to say more before Allyson's lips were pressed firmly to her own.

To those who could even afford to spare a glance, it would seem ludicrous, the two of them standing there sharing a kiss as the sky rained both monster and men seeking to end their lives. These few seconds however would give her the strength to fight through the horrors that awaited them. They would endure because of moments like this that were worth protecting "I love you too. Always, in this life or the next." a small smile touched her lips. Despite the finality of the words, she couldn't help that it almost felt like wedding vows. She firmly held the Corellian's hand and nodded as she confirmed she was ready.

Taiia took ahold of Allyson's hands with both of her green eyes fixed on the woman she loved. "Don't hold back, let the Alliance learn from this. Should we fail, give them the information that they will need to protect everything." the current of air began to swirl around them as the force moved bidden by the redhead. The familiar green fog began to wrap around their forms and within moments the pair disappeared. They would reappear further away upon the steps of the palace. surrounded by droids and soldiers whoever had been available to make up the hasty defense of the Queen and government. Immediately Taiia released Allyson's hand as both of hers moved to her lightsabers and ignited them.

Unlike her older sabers, these were not blades of silver in her hand, they were brilliant white blades, that would contrast the darkness that was about to fall upon them all.

Heavy footfalls echoed against the polished Nabooian marble as Talak made his way through the halls of the palace, the Queen's presence was not concealed to him, nor was the fact that the Vicelord and his exarchs were present as well. He garnered a few sideways glances as he made his approach to the Queen. She would not be accustomed to seeing him like this. Talak since he had returned to Naboo had only worn some of the finest clothing that befitted his title. In this instance however the Sith Lord had donned his old armor from his days serving the One Sith, it was scarred burned, and broken but one thing would be clear it may be well worn but it had endured as had he.

His voice cut through the momentary silence as the doors to one side swung open and he passed through them. "The Vicelord is quite correct your highness. However, this outcome is not unexpected." The man gave the Queen a wry smile as he motioned to the armor before turning his eyes toward Darth Metus Darth Metus whether or not the man remembered his face or not mattered little. Talak's role was to be by his Queen. He spoke quickly and directed his words at the Vicelord. "I will see to the Queens safety Vicelord rest assured of that. Before this day is done you will be needed elsewhere. My one duty is to my Queen." he lifted the helmet that had been attached to his belt and looked down at it before looking back to both Srina Talon Srina Talon and John Locke John Locke as well, the exarchs he knew by reputation only Isley he had only interacted with once long ago on Dathomir.

He moved to stand near Svana, true to his word she would have his protection so long as it was needed

Tyran Numeck

Mandalorian Supercommando

numeck_skullprime.png

Tyran had seen devastation on hundreds of worlds, fought in countless wars and killed many different beings across the galaxy but he had never seen anything like this. Not even on Naboo for a few weeks and already everything had gone to hell. What was supposed to be a new home for him and his family was now another nightmare that they had to fight their way out of and find somewhere new to relocate. On top of that Tyran had a new contract with the Queen of Naboo that he doubted was going to be fulfilled now, but honor demanded that he see it through to the end and that meant getting her off the planet.

So he had split his team, half were here with him on the landing with the queen and the other half prepping the Tal'galaar to provide them with cover as the shuttle made its escape. Six Mandalorians, especially the ones with Tyran, were not going to fall easily to monsters like these. Fighting the creatures wasn't Tyran's chief problem right now, it was actually getting Svana Neoma Svana Neoma onto the transport. As tiny as the woman was she was about as stubborn as anything.

"Your people are going to need you before this is over and staying here with them while the city burns isn't going to help them in the long run." Tyran said to her and put a hand on her shoulder Darth Metus Darth Metus was right, Talak Jenste Talak Jenste could stand beside her if he wanted to by Tyran and his crew weren't going anywhere either. They had been paid well to protect this woman and they weren't going to take the money and run. Some Mandalorians still had respect for the oaths they made. "Rixa and Savah are fighting to the Tal'galaar, when they are airborne we need to get you onto this shuttle and out of here before we lose our window of opportunity."

Eenia Vahn Eenia Vahn would not have to travel far to find those in trouble or in need of healing. Just ahead of her and around the corner the familiar hum of a lightsaber filled the air the bright blue of the blade bathed the wielder in its soft light. Gallil stared down a trio of monsters, and a group of civilians had huddled behind him seeking refuge behind his blade.

His hands tightened against the hilt of his lightsaber as the first decided to test his defenses. He shifted quickly into soresu as the lumbering beast charged to the horror of those behind him he stepped to one side for the briefest of moments just to bring his lightsaber around in a movement that took the creatures head from its shoulders, he allowed the momentum to carry him around to face the other two.

Learning quickly the other two rushed him at once, unfortunately for them rushing head-on was not the best tactic for numerical advantage. As they rushed, he rushed at them his left hand fell away from his saber and began to channel the force his right slashed upward upon the creature's torso seeking to cleave it in half. The one to his left was not forgotten however, his left hand grabbed it by the neck and he spun slamming its form into the one he just slashed pushing the creatures into a nearby structure with such power that the wall cracked in multiple spots.

The next sound that filled the air was superheated plasma burning its way through the creatures as his blade punched a hole through each of their hides. He lifted his eyes as he caught sight of Eenia. There was a momentary pause before he looked back at those behind him then back to the woman. "Hello there, could use your help if you aren't too busy? We should probably get these folks to the palace or wherever folks are evacuating from. Assuming you know, I'm not exactly from your Knights Obsidian."

Darth Xiphos shot awake in bed around the same time the Battalion next to her did, both clad in dark blue nightwear.

Xiphos was hyperventilating.

"Elaine, please tell me you felt that..." Xiphos said wearily.

"I did, Julia. Thousands of voices, crying out in terror. I was feeding off it, to be honest..." The Battalion admitted.

There was a beeping at her holoterminal and Xiphos rushed to it...

Nine was on the other end of it, her image flickering in blue as Xiphos hit the answering button.

"What's going on, Great Ancestor?" Xiphos asked.

"It's bad. Massive attack sweeping through all of Confederacy Space. Demons. Vandals. They mean to kill the CIS. They are murdering Naboo as we speak..."

Xiphos swore a bit.

"I can be there very quickly..." Xiphos said.

"I don't think people are gonna be too happy to see The Leviathan of Sev Tok..." Nine warned. "They might panic, think you've come for revenge."

"My vengeance, however petty, is reserved only for those I truly despise..." Xiphos assured her.

"Xiphos...what I'm seeing here...I think this may be the end of the CIS..." Nine warned.

"Not if I have anything to say about it..." Xiphos said...

"Send me positions on enemy forces." Xiphos said.

"If you go, just make sure you're prepared for hostility."

"I'll try not to mention who I am unless I have to..." Xiphos replied.

But she wasn't going to bring the Leviathan of Sev Tok. She was going to bring something...

...else.

Khemost was still being scouted, but beyond the planet was a Gas Giant.

It was evident that a mighty battle had taken place there. Great and terrible wrecks of Star Destroyers of an unknown design, and the wreck of a mighty Battleship.

It took months, scouring and recycling Multiple wrecks, floating in orbit around the Giant. What small hoard of the sea of secrets beneath it's crust had helped cover the other details...

But now was the time to actually test it out.

"Get ready. We go to Naboo..."

"After they exiled you? You serious?" The Battalion asked.

"They could have executed me for what I did. So I figure, maybe I owe them one."

"What about the rest of your citizens?" The Battalion questioned. "You'll be dragging us into it.

"The Confederacy falls completely, the entire region it owned turns to utter chaos and lawlessness. Any one of our enemies, especially the Maw, could swoop in and claim whatever is left. That can't happen..." Xiphos replied.

The Battalion thought about it. "I guess...but if their time is up regardless...whole lotta war materiel left to scavenge..."

"Unlike Rhand, there is a genuine chance to save lives..." Xiphos replied.

"Is it time to deploy...it?"

"You're damn right..." Xiphos replied hopping into the shower.

As she quickly scrubbed she sent out a message through the PA System of the Scavenged Space Gun she had moved into orbit over Khemost via her technopathy, hacking it's audio systems to reproduce her voice. Docked with it was a Battle Cruiser, the one found as wreckage, now restored.

"Attention, all hands, prepare for deployment aboard The Leviathan of Danuta. Briefing will commence during flight."

One half hour later...

Xiphos addressed the assigned staff of the Leviathan of Danuta in the confines of a conference room whose interior had the same techno-gothic aesthetic as the rest of the ship, clad in her bio Chitin. Attached to her belt was an old blade, one she hadn't wielded in a while. It was the Constant Gardener.

"Naboo has come under attack from a number of criminals, pirates, and demons. Yes, I said it. Demons. They are murdering the populace as we speak. They mean to destroy it and as much of the Confederacy Navy as possible. We must do as much damage to these attacking forces as we possibly can. A complete vacuum of power in these regions would prove too much a risk for our enemies to take advantage of. By going into Confederacy space after Exile, I am risking severe punishment, possibly execution. Hopefully it will not come to that. I'm going there because Our House exists, mainly, to battle threats to the Galaxy like this, whatever their form. And if our House is to survive, it must show the Galaxy it's power, and willingness and ability to pick fights with threats like this. The Leviathan is one of the most dangerous assets we have. But it is the people inside of it that are the true weapons. In the end, as always, it is the person that makes the difference, not the tools we use to convey our will. Let us make a difference at Naboo. Let us show the CIS that, at the very least, there are no hard feelings on our end. The Leviathan is to engage the enemy fleet directly to draw as much aggro to it as possible. Meanwhile, our newly completed CNS Flesh Memory, which was intended as an anonymous gift will evacuate people off the ground for medical treatment. CIS ships WILL be allowed to dock at its hangars and drop off wounded. They will however, be scanned before being allowed aboard."

The staff nodded and immediately got to work. Xiphos headed to the bridge, instructed the Nuetralizer Brains in control of her ship to activate the Path Engine.

Mother...the brains said collectively to her wirelessly. Ship is ready to jump to Naboo...

Jump
. Xiphos ordered.

The Leviathan of Danuta jumped through irregular Hyperspace Routes...It made a random Jump first then another to Naboo.

Present...

The Situation was grave when the Leviathan came out of hyperspace over orbit above Naboo.

Xiphos stiffened, feeling the death everywhere. She was shocked at how much damage the Confederacy suffered. They had seemed uncrushable...

Xiphos was forced to remind herself that all things end...

...even House Io would face an expiration date, though she knew neither the hour nor the manner.

The CNS Flesh Memory which had been closer to Naboo, and in fact had been in its maiden voyage had gotten there first, and was already being attacked by the enemy, though it had yet to show any signs of wear as it deployed Multiple squadrons of T-5 Hospital Shuttles to the surface to evacuate as many wounded as possible. But the Leviathan was immediately noticed as it began launching fighters, all Nuetralizer TIE units. Squadrons of reproduction Imperial Drop Ships painted in the Dark Blue colors of the House containing her Model 3 Sons, all armed with the DC-15LE (equipped with an under barrel 40mm grenade launcher) and Recharging Commando Pistol, as well as Sonic Disruptor Rifles and shatter guns, Z-6 Rotary Cannons and DLT-20A Rifles. They had also been equipped with Vibro-swords and Force Pikes.

The Leviathan immediately announced it's intention by opening fire on a number of enemy ships harassing a CIS fleet carrier with it's lethal Solar Ionization Cannons, blasting apart or heavily damaging them, forcing them to try and withdraw, only to be destroyed without mercy by a second salvo, this one of Energy Torpedos.

The Leviathan Brain in charge of comms sent out a transmission to all CIS Naval Vessels:

ATTENTION ALL CIS NAVAL VESSELS. THIS IS THE WARSHIP LEVIATHAN OF DANUTA. DO NOT FIRE, REPEAT, DO NOT FIRE. WE HAVE COME TO PROVIDE RELIEF EFFORTS AND REINFORCE YOUR DEFENSES.

This message ran on repeat as it fired on another ship, this one an enemy star destroyer. Salvos of fire began to hit it as it moved forward slowly in the Armada, threatening Naboo, but the vast defenses of the vessel caused only mild rumbles of impacts across the ships, it's Singularity and energy shielding tanking the blasts so far...

Meanwhile, in the Surface, the Drop Ships Containing the Nuetralizers arrived across These, where the ravaging of both demons and invaders was thick and immediately began aggressive engagement, storming out of the shuttles which lifted off to go back to the Leviathan to get more troops or began air to ground operations.

The Model 3 units on one street took one collective look at the horrid monsters ravaging it.

"So. Much. XP." One of them said in sadistic joy.

They began singing as they marched, their artistic but skeletal designs marked with paints that marked them as veterans of the Campaign at Danuta, the vicious Raid at Barab, as well as Rhand and Kerest, firing without hesitation at the monsters coming out of the portals in concentrated salvos of both blaster and Disruptor, heavy weapon emplacements being set up to try and choke off the enemy...others got close to the Demons without any fear to slash away at them with melee weapons...

"I'VE SEEN ANGELS FALL FROM BLIIIIIINNNNDING HEIGHHHHHHTTTTS, BUT YOU YOURSELF ARE NOTHING SOOOOO- DIIIIIVINNNNNNNNEEE----"

A demon exploded after a 40mm grenade was fired down it's throat.

"JUST NEXT IN LIIIIIIIINNNNE---!" they sang...

What do you do when your home falls? What do you do when the risk of losing everything that you held most dear is destroyed in a blink of an eye? Dreidi was standing around gawking at the situation, she was stunned. They were here on Naboo, Naboo was meant to be safe, Naboo was meant to be a place of solace and peace, away from the wars. It was a little stuck up and the people weren't perfect but in the grand scheme of things, Dreidi figured that out of anywhere, she was safest on Naboo. The Maw couldn't reach that far into Confederacy territory and the fact was Coruscant and Kashyyyk had been attacked so much more than Naboo ever had that Dreidi had assumed for years that she would be able to train safely in CIS space over training with factions that constantly go to war.

The attack came at a time when Dreidi was on her own, just training in insolation. She had been taking a break from being around Kristyl Vaashe and trying to take on the lessons her Masters Asaraa Vaashe Asaraa Vaashe and Vanya Aklin Vanya Aklin were providing her. Now she was staring at the destruction and mayhem around her and panicked, where were they? What if she needed their help right now? She was only a Padawan and in all honesty, she didn't feel like she was that good of one, her skills with Magick were subpar and her Force and Lightsaber training were not great either. Dreidi really did question at times if she should apologise to her mentors about failing them and leave. Just vanish in the large galaxy away from everyone. Then she remembered the commitments and promises she made to them all and refused to break those promises.

Gripping her Lightsaber tightly, she moved around the warzone, how she found herself in the thick of battle was beyond Dreidi. Seemed like she drew it to her, her mind went to panicked searching for Kristyl the last time she went to war. This time was different, she knew that Kristyl had been training properly now and that she was likely going to be around that Master. This time, Dreidi could focus on saving everyone and making sure the civilians got off world and back home. She dreaded to think of what her friends and bandmates were and how they might be dead or suffering during all this. The scared thoughts burned through her body as she ignited the dark orange Lightsaber. The glow lit her frame as she moved around, her ears pricked as she tracking a monster crashing and causing some form of destruction. A sharp, deep intake of breath steeled Dreidi as she tilted her head to the side. There should be fear in her body, hatred for these things that were taking her home, but instead there was just a cold resolve. To survive and win at all costs.

Rushing forward, she growled loudly, catching the monster's attention away from the people it was attacking. Dreidi ducked and weaved her body around, using her flexibility and agility to her advantage. In this moment, she had left her anxieties and fears, bottled them deep inside as she allowed her body to move in the way that she had been taught. To fight with all the skills she never truly believed she had. Her movements were fluid and her Lightsaber cut through the beast's arm to disable it as she sidestepped and raised her palm. Speaking the incantation that Vanya had drilled into her head, a burst of intense fire came from her hand engulfing the beast till its screams died. Dreidi then dropped her hand, feeling the first wave of tiredness hitting her hard, she stared at her palm. Perhaps she was capable, perhaps there was something her Masters could see in her that she never did. Especially since that was the first time she had been that successful with a spell. Forged in war. Was that it?

Turning her Lightsaber off, Dreidi paused then looked to the civilians and pointed to the direction they needed to be heading in. She didn't say a word, she couldn't say a word. She was scared her voice would crack or she breakdown to fear and depression. She needed to maintain this laser focus that she currently had. She had to keep fighting. Keep moving forward. No matter the cost. She couldn't leave Naboo like this. She had to fight for her home.

Sprinting forward, Dreidi chased after the screams of civilians in danger and the roars of monsters. She was going to silence those roars if she got the chance.

The large man picked up his pace as he sprinted towards the mother and child attempting to flee the swarming mass of monstrous beings from the ether that seemed to continuously flood the streets, he had strapped his weapons to his back to make it easier for him to get over to the pair.

"WATCH OUT!"

Before Duran knew it he was up in the air, a large explosion sending him flying, seconds later he was crumpled up against a wall, his chest plate crumpled into his chest piercing his lungs, blood sliding out from the wound and onto his armor, his visor shattered from the impact.

The soldier struggled to breathe, his breath coming out more like a wheeze than anything. His eyes looked above to the skies darkened by the beasts from hell that had come to ruin their lives. The man leaned his head up again the wall as a tear slowly fell down his cheek before he looked across to where he had been running moments before seeing the two he had been attempting to get to huddling in fear.

All the man could do was take out his sidearm attached to his hip and begin to fire at any monsters that came close to the mother and young child. "Get them out of here, move back to a more defendable position...." The soldier mumbled over his communications.

"But Corporal...."

"That wasn't a suggestion."

The silence over the radio was almost deafening before one of his squad picked up the mantle and lead the small team in a plan to get the two civilians to a more defensible position. All the noise had been drowned out to the man by then, his sidearm firing at waves of the enemy before all he heard was a click, looking down at his gun he threw it to the side, empty.

Duran grabbed some of the medical supplies from his belt and shoved them into his thigh grunting with pain, his breath still coming out as a wheeze. His eyes closed as he leaned against the wall. All he had done, all he had lived for, was falling apart around him, and he would perish that die alone and forgotten.

William had gone down to one sword, the other was cracked in half, the top half of the blade laying somewhere on the ground behind him, having switched the broken blade into a reverse grip using it as a dagger as he sliced one monster's throat open with his blade before impaling another with the broken sword turned dagger. His movements were as swift as a flowing river, his strikes like crashing lightning. William's eyes glowed red with the power from Horak-mul flowing throughout his body, his veins pulsing out throughout his body all seemingly having a red glow to them as well.

Feeling the jaws of one beast clenching down on his leg he took his broken blade and stabbed it through the forehead of the monster, black ichor flowing from the wound as he fought on the wound healing slowly as he continued on ignoring the wound as if it was never there.

The last graspings of who he was fought on, the overwhelming presence of the Sith lord was slowly overtaking him, every slash and thrust of his blades brought him closer to losing himself completely, his body already feeling as if it was not his own. He knew he was doing this for the good of those that could not defend himself, but he did not know if he would make it out of this conflict unscathed. William knew that without him slaying as many of the Netherworld beings as possible the civilians would never be able to make it to safety, there were others who were much better suited to defend those but they were elsewhere doing more important work, so it was laid onto the shoulders of those who picked up that mantle.

Many of the members of the Knights Obsideon had perished from the onslaught already, the few he had joined in combat laying somewhere in the rubble behind him, all perishing in defense of the Confederacy and her peoples. All that stood between her people and these hordes now was him and those who still fought tooth and nail, all scattered throughout the planet, leaving William alone to fall to everything he had fought against so that he could save those he swore to protect.
