STRENGTHS
  • Siegelayer: The Thoros II is designed around long-range warfare. Although it is slow and unwieldy, it excels at delivering large amounts of damage from long ranges
  • High Defenses: The siege battlecruiser benefits from extremely competent point-defense, shield systems, and other defensive systems that make it a tough nut to crack.
WEAKNESSES
  • Slow and Unwieldy: The Thoros II has poor acceleration and maneuvering capabilities, which also makes a descent into an atmosphere extremely difficult if not outright impossible.
  • Fighter Complement: The siege battlecruiser has a smaller-than-normal fighter complement that can be disadvantageous or make the battlecruiser vulnerable in certain situations.
DESCRIPTION
We will rain fire from the sky. Because we are the Gods of War.

The Thoros II-class Siege Battlecruiser is not just a top-of-the-line ship made by the ever-consistent Roble Manufacturing; it's the fulfillment of a promise. A promise made to the galaxy for a better, more secure, and prosperous future, one that is achieved through strength and determination. Named after an ancient god of war, the Thoros II is the second iteration of its kind, it's the predecessor of the same name enjoying a limited run before it was decommissioned in favor of its newer, much more capable successor.

As its name would suggest, the Thoros II is designed around long-range warfare; whether that be sitting back in the field of naval engagement and striking at opponents from afar, or orbitally bombarding planetary targets. This is achieved primarily through three weapon systems: the powerful RMAD-M12 Bralsingr dual-orbital autocannons, the reliable RMMD-M5 Mass Driver Cannons, and the explosive M19 Firefly Assault Concussion Missiles. Pair this with the Thoros II's extremely potent defensive systems, both point-defense and shield systems,, and you have an unstoppable beast of a battlecruiser.

However, the Thoros II is not without its weaknesses. Particularly, it has poor acceleration and maneuvering which makes normally simple things such as an atmospheric descent nigh impossible -- and its large mass doesn't help it in this regard either. It also has a smaller-than-average fighter complement, which can leave the Thoros II vulnerable in certain situations and is all around disadvantageous for the battlecruiser.

Altogether though, the Thoros II is a ship made for brutal, unyielding war, and there is no doubt that it will not fulfill this mandate in every regard.
