- Radiation Resistance - Designed with worst-case scenarios in mind, the FAE/A-09 provides the wearer formidable protection from the deleterious effects of radiation via integrated radiation shielding and agrinium mesh. In addition, in the event that protection fails or radiation levels soar beyond what the suit is optimized to handle, the suit has a number of emergency Elisinandrox injection ports which will automatically inject the medication into the wearer’s bloodstream.
- Air and Space Combat - Optimized and designed specifically to keep pilots, co-pilots, and gunners alive and lucid during high-G maneuvers in space and in atmosphere. In addition, it will also protect them from the dangers associated with radiation leaks, failing life support, and other hazards associated with starship-based combat in a vacuum environment.
- Gravitational Force Resistance - The FAE/A-09 features a number of components and systems which are designed to help the pilot resist the deleterious effects of excessive gravitational force and pressure, both of which are typically felt when acceleration compensators are either malfunctioning or not operating at full efficiency.
- Ion/EMP Resistance - Constructed with an integrated de-ionizing system, the FAE/A-09 is very resistant to the effects of EMP/Ion discharges and electronic disruptions.
- Mentalism Resistance - Intended to protect the wearer against hostile psychic intrusion from battle meditation and mentalism, the FAE/A-09 integrated Force mask affords it very high resistance against these threats, which are particularly prevalent in modern naval engagements, given the proliferation of Force users.
- Force Presence - The integrated Taozin skin nodule blurs the wearer's presence in the Force, making their intentions more difficult to elucidate for a hostile Force user. Naturally, this is intended to aid non-Force-sensitive pilots in engaging Force-sensitive starfighter pilots on a more equal playing field.
- Disruptor Attacks - The FAE/A-09 has no resistance to disruptor weaponry.
- Lightsaber Attacks - The FAE/A-09 has no resistance to lightsabers.
- Kinetic Attacks - The FAE/A-09 has no resistance to kinetic-based threats, including slugthrowers, shrapnel, and vibroblades.
- Battle Meditation - While very capable of defending the wearer against mental attacks, the Force mask also makes it impossible for the wearer to benefit from the positive effects of battle meditation and other benevolent mental-based applications of the Force, unless it is deactivated or removed.
- Acids and Corrosive Materials - In addition to being ineffective in defending against conventional threats in infantry-based combat, the FAE/A-09 is also very susceptible to acid-based attacks.
- Sonic Attacks - The FAE/A-09 has no resistance to sonic-based attacks.
The FAE/A-09 Anti-G Suit is a flight suit intended for use by pilots in the Armada of the Agents of Chaos. Conceived after the Battle over Ryloth, the suit was designed while factoring in a number of hard lessons learned during the battle, which drew attention to the fact that much of the technology fielded by the Armada at the time was defenseless against EMP and Ion discharges. All the while, the suit follows basic design principles for dedicated flight suits, including protection against high levels of gravitational force, radiation shielding, and vacuum protection. In addition, the suit features an integrated Force Mask to shield the mind of the wearer from mental attack. However, this system can be removed or deactivated to accommodate a Force-sensitive operator or in the event that a non-Force-sensitive wearer seeks to benefit from a friendly application of battle meditation.
The updated version of the FAE/A-09 Anti-G Suit was made available on the market, while also adding a G1 OmniLink, improved energy resistance, a more comprehensive biorestorative underlay, in addition to other additional features.
