Bad Reputation

APPEARANCE:
Eloise is an extremely tall, athletic young woman with green eyes and an abundance of freckles. She dyes her naturally red locks purple and typically wears her hair in braids. Her clothing and jewelry (she wears a lot of jewelry) is an eclectic mix of styles both primitive and modern.
Eloise's Jewelry:
- String of blood-orange beads around neck - War prize from anti-slavery crusades on Zaathru, originating in the Meriphoril Desert
- A large teardrop-shaped Nacrian pearl suspended on three golden chains, worn over the forehead - A gift from her sister Altrea, it enhances her ability to manipulate water.
- Pendant necklace, large smooth blue gem set in electrum with aurebesh engraving - Very kitschy. Acquired at a flea market after she ran away from home, symbolizing her first step in a new life. The aurebesh engraving around the gem is a quote attributed to Jedi Master Yoda: "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter."
- Hanging gold and/or electrum earrings - Purely decorative.
- Ring on right index finger - Carved out of aylwood and decorated with runes.
- Bangles on wrists - Called kukiri, this jewelry is part of the Zaathrian religious tradition. The bangles on her left wrist are carved from wood; trees are living things that grow out of the earth and thus represent the feminine, verdant Upperworld. The ones made of gold on her right wrist symbolize the masculine Underworld; metal is mined from below the earth and is not alive, so it is associated with death and destruction. However, it contains a Shaalite engraving: 'Everon dov tohil fil'osa misar.' What is loved cannot die.
STRENGTHS
- Fierce & Passionate: Eloise has always had an intense disposition, on fire with zeal for all that she loves. Her drive is high, and she will surely accomplish anything she sets her mind to.
- “You know Eloise Dinn any chance? If so, I don't think I have to describe her. She's not afraid to... be herself, if y'know what I mean.” - Diogo Talon
- “What do I even find attractive? Confidence, I guess. Someone with their own goals and drive. Eloise actually fits that pretty well, but I'm definitely not into her. There's just too much conflict in her personality—it feels more repulsive than anything else.” - Braze
- Tania's Grace: Having spent her early childhood within the vicinity of the Nezamiyah Force Nexus, Eloise has received its blessing. She is remarkably tall for a human female, and is overall exceptionally healthy and resistant to diseases.
- Natural Leader: Someone has to save our skins! If nobody else is willing to take the lead, Eloise won't have to be asked twice.
- "...she silently appreciated Eloise's ability to remain calm under pressure." - Amani Serys-Organa
- Sith Upbringing: Eloise's parents were Sith Alchemists who shared their knowledge freely with their children. She is not a stranger to the Force, even if her earliest training was in the Dark Side.
WEAKNESSES
- Emotional & Impulsive: Bordering on reckless at times, Eloise is feisty, rebellious and defiant of authority (especially if she thinks she is being made to do something "stupid" by an authority figure). She has a mean streak, a short temper and a sharp tongue.
- "She wasn't sure if the trash talk was something Eloise got from her, or if it had always been ingrained her spitfire DNA. Either way, it made her a little proud." - Amani Serys-Organa
- Sensitive: Despite her prickly exterior, Eloise is actually quite sensitive. She suffers no bullies, but the suffering they inflict on her can leave lingering wounds.
- Mommy & Daddy Issues: Considerable mental and emotional trauma has stemmed from Eloise's upbringing and her troubled relationship with her parents. It would be easy to hate them, but it's just not that simple.
BIOGRAPHY
Conceived during a drunken night of celebration after her Sith Acolyte parents conquered a planet together (Folende; they lost control of it not long after), by the time Eloise and her twin brother Marcus were born, their father, Arcturus Dinn, had gone missing and their mother, Rhiannon Ishani, was left destitute and adrift. Rhiannon did her best to care for them, but the children were frequently bounced between their mother and their grandparents.
When the twins were four years old, their father suddenly came home. It was cause for celebration—except the circumstances of his return were less than happy. Trapped in the Netherworld due to a curse, Dad hadn't aged a day, didn't even know his children existed, and couldn't handle the pain of learning how much he had missed out on. So he ran away again. Mom finally bit the bullet and decided to leave her two young children fully in the care of her parents, Senator Toloth Threepwood and his wife Charisse, while she took off after their elusive father. Not long after, she was reported deceased on Tython, killed during a battle against the Maw. Eloise spent the next three years of her life on Chaldea, where she and her brother were doted upon by their loving grandparents.
But once again, like clockwork, their parents returned. Mom was back from the dead and Dad was back from the Nether, now wanting to take the twins with them to build a new life together. At the time, Eloise didn't understand why Grandpa and Grandma were so reluctant to let them go. After a tense confrontation, a deal was struck and the children were turned over to their parents, who immediately whisked them away to the distant planet of Zaathru. There they were raised in the lap of luxury, surrounded by primitive natives who believed the Force Sensitive family to be gods incarnate. Eloise was told she was the personification of the moon goddess Damara, the Queen of the Night. She liked the sound of that, but to her child's mind it was all just a game of make-believe. Deep down she knew she wasn't really a goddess or a queen.

And then, she discovered an unthinkable secret about her parents. She rushed to her twin brother, who had always been her friend and confidant, and told him of what she had seen. To her horror, she learned that Marcus had known of it all along, yet had done nothing. He had simply played along.
Ashamed and disgusted with her family, Eloise ran away from home. With her Zaathrian ways and the isolation she grew up in, she has found the galaxy a strange and alienating place. Where she will go and what she will become remains up in the air...
