OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Beautiful, rare pearls produced by a particular species of mollusc
  • Grants Force Users heightened telekinesis, particularly when dealing with water and other liquids
STRENGTHS
  • Pearls, Pearls, PEARLS!: The beautiful dark lustre of Nacrian pearls is highly sought after, increasing their value and usage in jewelry and other forms of decoration.
  • Water Bending: For the molluscs that produce these pearls, manipulating the water around them is necessary for their survival. The same effect can be extended to Force Users who manage to come into possession of even a single Nacrian pearl.
WEAKNESSES
  • Rare and Valuable: These pearls are found only in one small area of the ocean on a single planet in the entire galaxy. As a result, they are extremely rare, hard to find, and costly for those seeking to procure them.
  • Part Of Your World: The hydrokinesis boost only applies to Force Users. NFUs need not apply.
  • Force Voids: The effects will not work when exposed to ysalamiri, void stones, and other Force-voiding influences, essentially turning the pearls into little more than rare and lovely baubles.
DESCRIPTION
The Nacrian clam is a species of mollusc native to a small section of the oceans of Zaathru, located near the city of Nacria. The clams have many natural predators, and so to ensure their survival, they have evolved a unique method of evading their pursuers. They are able to use the Force to manipulate their surroundings, particularly currents in the water, to disorient and even physically move or harm their predators. These abilities become imbued in the clams' pearls, which form over the course of their life cycle and remain active even upon being harvested.
