The Shili/Corsin Hex.

A modest fleet carrying the Agents of Chaos banners broke through hyperspace, coming to a near stop on the western edge of the territory they were in (X). The crews of the ships checked their data, looking around at what they could pick up. They had come with a very specific purpose in mind, and needed to make sure everything they had was still relevant.

Their target that day was a fleet of medical caravans, headed to the Galactic West. Agents of Chaos, who alongside their regular stuff around the 'verse of pegging bigjobs down, also had the Scintilla to take care of.

The Scintilla was in trouble, and by extension, so were the Agents of Chaos. For all these months, they had been certain that they were financially self sufficient. That what had begun with donations and investors had grown into a beautiful monster in the Unknown Regions. It had been nearly true, with only a few minor things that were still in need of being ironed.

The Quiet Ones uncovered plots in the books. Much of the funding, be it donation or investment, had been stolen, and taken as loan from various banks and unseemingly sources, their own space stations of the Scintilla being used as collateral in many different ways that none of their leaders, especially not Discordia, had ever approved.

They were still combing out the Coins as well as any person who had ever been involved with the Scintilla's or the Agents of Chaos' finances. Several people had been caught, but estimates were that there were many more involved in it.

And now, they had the consequences to deal with. The first group that had been paid by the double crossers had their collateral in the form of the Scintilla's hospital supplies. Now that they refused to pay them any more, the organization had halted all medical imports to the Scintilla. Plans to immediately construct new factories were made, but it didn't solve their problems over the short term. Their emergency stocks weren't as stocked as the books claimed they were, which was another clusterkrak all on its own, and further funds had to be spent to actively protect the hospitals when squads were sent to actively take out hospital beds, medicine, and a few of their leading doctors.

For the moment, the situation was silenced as far as they knew. But with so many people involved, so many they were now indebted to, it was only a matter of time before word got out. Got out to their own people, who for now knew little to nothing about it, and open to their enemies, who would without a doubt celebrate on the news.

They had to make up for lost funds and needed stocks before that happened.

And this was why they were here. As far as most were concerned, they were doing the raid to keep the medical supplies out of the hands of this or other territory grubbing government who didn't deserve them. They believed that they were hurting them by doing that, rather than trying to cover up for the situation at home. Some day, there would be consequences for the choice in it.

For now though, Agents of Chaos were here, along with the people of Darkwire who had been contracted to help them out. And as the caravans came into view, they all readied themselves. They would board their ships, slay whoever tried to stop them, and make away with the precious cargo.

[|The Wayfarer|]

The Wayfarer wasn't used to mercenary work, but, this job was supposed to be nice and easy. The whole thing was going to deliver a whopping ten thousand credits! All they had to do was guard the goods. So The Wayfarer commandeered an old X-Wing he had found in one of the Black Sun's hangars.

She was fast and maneuverable, but, The Wayfarer had yet to see all the tricks up this X-Wings foils. Hopefully he wouldn't need too. He flew in loose formation around the main flotilla with a few other fighters. All was quiet on the front, but suddenly Cisco started getting some static. He tapped the radar display a few times and flipped a switch. Suddenly a voice could be heard.

"Hi! Er... This is Des the previous owner of The Krayt Dragon's Pearl. If you're hearing this you probably killed me and took it..." The voice was full of joy, but yet somehow still annoying "Anyways if that's the case I want you to know," A slight pause then in a robotic tone "This ship will destruct in t-minus five, four, three... Ah i'm just messing with you! No seriously! Anyways... KABOOM! Hah got you!"

The Gunslinger couldn't believe what he was hearing. The man sounded completely insane and slightly drunk. He quickly flipped the switch to turn the Pearl's former belated pilot off.

"Did you say something callsign Wayfarer?" Flight leader Gundark's voice asked.

Embarrassed The Wayfarer gave a simple shake of the wings. He stared out at the open abyss of space they had stopped in to refuel. It was so empty and yet a million light years away stars shown brightly in the distance, speaking of life everywhere. It made The Gunslinger wonder at it all. What was the purpose?

However he hadn't much time to marvel for as soon as he was fixing to unbuckle his apparatus another signal was sent over the comms. They had just detected multiple slipspace ruptures. This must be a popular stop, considering how large the universe was, The Wayfarer doubted these people wanted to say hi.

Cisco watched as the enemy ships materialized. They bore the mark of the Agent's of Chaos. A group of bandits The Wayfarer hadn't been obliged to meet. Flight lead rooster voice scrambled the comms.

"Looks like trouble boys! We just got to hold 'em off long enough to get the distress signal out!"

The medical frigates were only party to eight X-wings. Their wasn't supposed to be an attack this close to the core. Regardless it was here now and The Wayfarer had a job to do...

Scherezade sat aboard the Walrus, teeth gritting. She had been called in the moment the problems arose, and for once the problems weren't of the type that she could just go out and stab to death or bleed dry. It was big people problems, and for once, there was nothing she could do to single handedly correct the situation.

So she'd done the only thing she knew how to do. When a raid for the medical was proposed, she signed up immediately. At least with that, she could do something.

Every second that ticked by as they made their way so close, too damn close, to Silver space, felt like an eternity. She'd had the time to sharpen her knives, make sure all her weapons were fully loaded, run around the entire ship to let some steam out, and deny a bag of cheese cubes when one was offered to her.

The Agents of Chaos had been used to seeing the Sithling with the glowing eyes often grin and smile, but now not a single drop of it remained on any of her features. And what was worse, she couldn't talk to anyone about it in the moment, because they were keeping it all under wraps. There were a few more who were in the loop, but she didn't really have the time to talk to any of them in private before setting out for this caravan.

And while Scherezade was hardly ever one to say no to violence, especially of the wanton sort, she did not like the necessity of it. With everything else they had done, they'd been able to proclaim it for the greater good, for liberation, for freedom. It didn't matter that there was very little truth in that. It was the big dinosaurs they wanted to hurt.

But now they were going after medical supplies. That worlds actually needed. She'd let those worlds die in a heartbeat if it would fix the problems they were facing, but right now it just made them… It would be a PR clusterkrack. And it would sway opinions in the wrong direction.

Big mess. No stabby to fix. Scherezade unhappy.

At least they were minutes away from boarding the caravans.

 

[Jai'galaar Gred]

This left a pit in Jai's stomach. No one said anything but he noticed things. Specific ships had stopped showing up to the landing zones, and he was noticing that something was up. Then he heard about this. It sorta made sense now. He told his crew the suspicions he had, but that didn't make this pill any easier to swallow. They were about to attack a medical convoy. These.... This was different. This wasn't some empire or larger government. This was a medical fleet, getting supplies to people who needed it. The best he could do was try and not get people killed. He eyed EW-031 , sighing as the droid didn't look please.

"Walrus this is Cloud Breaker. Once we exit hyper space we'll try to tag their frigates with Conner nets. Then I guess we'll see you onboard." His voice was mixed with a massive amount of worry. He really didn't like this. Either way, the moment the exited hyperspace the corvette gunned it. The fighter's couldn't be top priority right now, and the Enigma-class was pouring its main cannon energy into its engines. It was time to light it up though. The corvette went to slip around the fighters, and level it's launchers to send its conner nets towards the lead frigate. None of it felt right, but apparently these were becoming desperate times.

The Spectre class vessel lumbered onto the scene, a single squadron of sixteen Needle Interceptors jumped from the hangar into the empty space to greet the eight x wings that were in protective formation around the medical frigates. They wove back and forth in formation before unexpectedly breaking formation and pairing off to swarm after the x-wings (|The Wayfarer|). They were decent pilots the lot of them, with three being far more fluid in their control and handling of the vessel than the others. "Light 'em up and keep 'em engaged." The squadron leader spoke as Sasmay stared at the external camera's.

They would be dropping onto the frigates soon. With the starfighters tied up with each other, the Spectre gunned engines and closed the distance as Sasmay checked her gear before moving down to the hold where the boarding vessel waited. Last time she had just sealed her suit and jumped into a hangar while the vacuum of space had provided the means of transportation. This time, she was being patient and actually using a for real vessel. Her gaze through the helmet peered at Scherezade deWinter before falling to her hands.

Didn't feel right taking from folks, but order were orders, and hunters did not pass on work. The double belt of Chaos gas grenades would help to minimize the damage. So long as everyone on their side used a helmet. "You breathed this stuff in yet? Fethin stuff is scary effective."

Ura carefully adjusted some of the finally pieces of the Razor-Tail. She had finally rebuilt the fighter after months of scavenging parts and rebuilding the broken fighter. She smiled, looking at the fighter that she'd pieced back together. After her talk with Kat Decoria a while back she'd managed to fit in some adjustments too. Ramped up the targeting and acceleration. She was about to test fly the newly repaired ship when a ping came in. An SOS.

"Oh no. A medical.... What kinda of low down...? Ok. Test flight's getting a bit crazier. This is Razor-Tail, taking off!" She quickly hopped into the ship, taking off and gunning it for orbit. The small fighter would soon make it's jump, and eventually emerge on the other side. She just hoped she wouldn't be too late.

(OOC: Wouldn't get their right away, so I'd say just use judgement for when she'd show up.)

To say Tabitha expected to see an Enigma-class attacking medical ships so close to SJO space would be a lie.

After stealing offering to test-pilot a ship her prank victim friend Fred Gred was working on, the ping of an SOS rang in her ears. The Troublesome usually wasn't one to offer help to aruetiise, but she was feeling generous today and hightailed it to the coordinates. Seeing an Enigma-class, her vision went red. Seeing a ship so closely tied to Clan Gred like this? It'd ruin poor, innocent, silly Fred's clan's rep!

That was unacceptable.

"<All right you, I'm not gonna let you ruin the reputation my friend's Clan.> Open your FETHING dock before I RIP it open myself!"

Tabitha practically screamed into the comm message to the Enigma she'd docked the ship on, speaking in a mix of Mando'a and Basic. She wasn't really armored, but overconfidence shoved that under the rug as she stormed towards her exit/entrance to the Cloud Breaker in a rage, favorite knife in hand.

Morgan silently wandered around, occasionally taking a small metal contraption out of her backpack to fiddle with. She threw it in the air a couple of times, and when it didn't respond in any way, she disappointedly returned it.

She curiously eyed the others that were aboard with her. She wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but the others seemed a tad conflicted. Even though Morgan wasn't the best at feeling sorry for others, the rest clearly weren't the happy bunch they usually were, so Morgan had taken the tactical route by keeping her mouth shut for the majority of the trip.

When she had decided her boredom had reached it's peak, she wandered over to the others. She curiously listened to Sasmay Cull 's question to Scherezade, and took that as an invitation to ask her own.

"Soooooooo", she asked innocently, her eyes darting between the two women," what's the plan? And what's with the terrible mood? We're getting medical supplies, that's good! Right? We're helping people." She gave both woman a smile to support her honest view of the situation.

Jai watched from the cockpit, eyeing as new ships jumped into the fray. Poodoo. There was an Ugly.... Interesting, but then, as the Cloud Breaker was attempting to dock to the netted frigate, a smaller ship took the docking clamp. He looked at EW, trying to figure out what was going on.

"It would seem like we have a guess. A Mandalorian one by her voice patterns." Jai looked at EW, almost shocked.

"Vod.... Osik. Schere, Sasmay! I'm going to be a little late. Mando'ad business." He then looked at his Strill, a mature pair that he had taken off Concord Dawn with him. They were quick to get up and follow as Jai rushed to the dock. He then said... something to the Strill. It wasn't Mando'a, or Basic, or any other common language, but the Strill responded by sitting their. He then tapped a button around the corner. All Tabitha would see through the door were the pair of Strill sitting there, almost like they let her in.

 

[5U-K5]

Location: On board the Walrus.


5U-K5 ran a cloth over his rifle as the others began to gather around Scherezade deWinter , some of them showing doubts in their mission. He noticed one of them, Sasmay Cull , carried a lot of grenades, most of which seemed to be some sort of gas grenade. A passifist? Yet another organic flaw. Unfortunately these were friendlies and he couldnt just cull the weak.

The droid dropped the cloth on a passing crew member and strode up to the group as The Bridesmaid spoke up. "I assume the plan is to board all the freighter frigates, space the crew and keep the supplies and possibly the ships, depending on damage. As for the fighters, just trash them. Probably thrown together from the nearest junkyard." He shook his head, "You organics do kind of suck at small crafts." He paused and looked over to Sasmay Cull , "Do you have any issue with any of that?"

Sasmay stared at the droid for a moment, the narrowing of her eyes to the mechanical being lost behind the helmet as she listened to it's words. While it's plan was typically alright, she had some reservations about this one. "I wouldn't argue that what you said is a bad plan typically. But I only plan on shooting what shoots back. Doctors are hard to come by since the job pays so fethin little. Besides that, we are already kicking a rancor nest by hitting the medical caravan." She snapped, hand gripping the gun tightly.

"We start spacing doctors, nurses, and that lot, the whole of the scintilla will be in trouble because we aren't exactly a universal favorite. So yes I have some issues, if only because I am thinking of the people back home." She continued, a little agitated at the droid. Not that this droid would particularly care about organics in any measure from her previous experiences with it. Sasmay wouldn't do more than argue, but she hoped it understood that at least.

Tabitha's rage seemed to quiet down as she saw the Strill before her, almost as if they were welcoming her in. There were Strill all the way out here? Tilting her head, she kneeled down next to the one on her right, and hesitantly held out her left hand for it to smell.

"<Hey there little guys... What are you doing all the way out here?>"

Tabitha looked up cautiously, and scanned the hallway. Clearly she had vod on this ship, but the question now was: Which Clan?

Morality was not a foreign concept to the Chiss. Every culture, every individual maintained a certain stance of right and wrong. The confusing part was discerning the different rights and wrongs between disparate cultures. Humanity was the worst puzzle out there. Their laws and justice systems were as varied from place to place, from group to group, from person to person, as two different species. As far as Sentiri had been able to glean from the Agents of Chaos, they were no simpler. If anything, the whole point was to amass as many different viewpoints as possible. The group wasn't just about causing havoc for the big governments throughout the galaxy, they were havoc personified. And that seemed to suit everyone just fine.

Mostly.

Until situations like these came along, where the moral code of their people was tested. The orders received by the Agents incited them to commit piracy, plain and simple. Sentiri didn't have anything against piracy. If anything, the supply and demand of piracy was a slightly different aspect to the natural order of things. Someone had something. Someone else needed that something. The needing-others have the power to take that something, so they do. Simple, straightforward. Only humans would come up with a silly romanticized notion that swashbucklers could be noble of cause. And sure, some vigilantes could be such, but at the end of the day, it all came down to the economical supply and demand and the power to tip the scales.

But then there's morality.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should, or so said "responsible" altruistic cultures. These bleeding hearts would say that there would need to be a significantly justifiable reason to commit any act, especially one that could be considered heinous. The piracy of weapons to destroy, drugs to dash, slaves to free, these were admissible. Stealing medical supplies from a relatively neutral group of civilians? Probably not.

But there the Agents of Chaos were anyway. Prepped and set to task. And while this sort of offensive was not typically Sentiri's specialty, she had offered her services for the sake of the morality of others. Her skills as a slicer and surgical infiltrator might save the lives of the opposing innocents; lives that many among the Agents wished to see spared despite their task.

So it was that she found herself standing beside a gunship in the hangar bay, prepping the gear she would need to disable a frigates systems from the inside. A pilot and a handful of commandos filed aboard, mostly there for hauling whatever cargo they could carry back with them and keeping Sentiri from getting blasted.

It was the first big mission Madalena had rejoined since coming back from being a Prisoner of War with the Outer Planets Alliance. The Head of the Wild Hunt, the combatants of Agents of Chaos, yet one that had not been performing in her duties for many months now. There had been enough people to pick up the slack, and endless reassurances that she needed to use as much as time as she required to get her head back in the right mindset.

But Madalena had her doubts about returning to the job at all. She had been good at it. In fact, she'd been great at it. But how could she claim to still be as great at it, when she'd been captured, and held for so long? She knew how to do a great many number of things, so being a combatant wasn't her only option in life, but she had, in her entire existence, always been so certain that this was what she wanted. Granted, the first nine months of her being so certain was because of fake memories planted into her memory that had decreed it so, but even when she was freed from it… She had a skillset big enough to do almost anything, and she'd chosen time and time again to stay at this.

But now was not the time to dwell or reflect on it. Now she was here, as a leader again, this time needing to take some people to go and raid medical caravans, of all things. She'd been fully exposed to the reasons why, and she wasn't a fan of the mission anyway. There were entire worlds that they could raid in order to get the stuff they needed. There were numerous people across the 'verse they could blackmail into giving them what they wanted. She'd even petitioned Discordia to do something much bigger, but she was mostly alone in her stand.

So raiding a caravan was what it was.

Standing by the doors, the Sith Sorceress counted down the time before they could board the first of the ships meant for their team. There were a few more combatants there, and a Chiss woman that Madalena knew she'd never met before, as she never forgot a face.

"Ready?" she asked as the green light turned overhead. They were there. The boarding tunnels were in place. Twenty paces and they'd be on the medical ship itself. "We are not here to slaughter! If they give their equipment over peacefully, do not harm a hair on their heads. If they resist, crush them!"

"Uuuuuuh, Ura?" Kyra chirped, her knuckles white as she clutched at the dashboard. "You, uh, sure we should be doing this alone?" Kyra had had some hard lessons on running in blind, a fact which might shock her Paddie friend sitting at her side. Kyra? Hold back? Regardless of her weak protest, the two hit the air at impressive speed. I mean, it was an SOS. Who ignores that?

She hurriedly rerouted the call deeper into Silver Space, hoping for some back up with more experience to its name.

"Thiiiiiiis is fine. Juuuuuuust fine. I mean what could go wrong, right?" She rattled, her voice lacking her usual edge of confidence. She had been distant from her classmates as of late, sometimes not showing up for classes for large spans of time. It was no secret that Kyra was going through something. But what paddie wasn't, with the war and all. This had been an attempt to reconnect with friends. Caedyn Arenais 's orders. He said it'd be healthy for her.

Something told her responding to distress calls as two paddies wasn't exactly what he had in mind for her here, but what he didn't know...?

"Maybe their engine broke. Maybe they ran out of chocolate." She leaned forward, gaze tight as she stared out the window.

"Do we have chocolate on board?"

The Strill sniffed Tabitha's hand, letting out a little growl as it did. It stopped though, seeming to be thinking of something. The other Strill didn't look to happy though, and it would soon be allowed to vent. A command was soon yelled out, not in Basic or Mando'a or any other language she'd know. The pair of creatures then jumped on Stabby, trying their best to hold her down. Jai then rounded the corner, Trayc'kal at the ready.

"Well, vod. What brings you here now?" He was clearly being cautious, especially given that he had leveled his weapons on the yong Mandalorian. He glared a little under his helmet though. Who was she, and why was she here?

Ura looked over to her friend, easily picking up that she was worried. She gave her friend a quick pat on the shoulder, and a calm feeling would bleed off of her. "We'll be ok Kyra. I'm sure some ships have jumped in and gotten close by now. The mayday just... wasn't clear." Kyra then seemed to calm down a little, mentioning that it was most likely a damaged ship, or more hilariously not having chocolate. Ura chuckled some, looking back. "Um.... No chocolate Closest thing is waterdog tre... Oh poodoo!" Ura quickly began flicking switches as she gunned the ion engines at the same time.

"S-foils lock into attack position and gryo freed. You may want to hold one to something, Kyra." She then noticed the Cloud Break, almost seeming to sigh in relief. "See. Not the first.... What?" And then it fire conner nets at one of the frigates before another ship seemed to block off its docking port. Ura was about to say something before some fighters ran close, and she quickly fired the lasers as she rolled the wings to avoid being hit.

"Ok. I wish it was an engine now!"

Niamh had been cutting her teeth on some asteroid field practice in the vicinity when the SOS beacon popped up. Even a Queen needed a break now and then. Plus she also had her role as a Silver Shadow to contend with. Which was the real reason she'd been out there. It was harder to get free time than it had been, but chasing down a lead on a Force wielding killer kind of took precedent. It hadn't panned out. The asteroid base had been empty when she'd arrived, which left her with nothing to go on. The computers were completely gutted and as far as she could tell the place had been empty for quite a while. It was a dead end.

But that was life.

Now she was flitting through space towards the stricken vessels and taking a measure of the attackers. She was not familiar with their banner, though she likely should have been. Either way, since she was already in her EVA suit thanks to her previous mission, she figured her best option was not to deal with the fighters but to see what she could do about the ship that had carried them into battle. Probably wasn't the best idea, but she couldn't remember the last time she'd gotten the chance to have as much fun as Nightmare. Sure beat sitting back on the throne trying to deal with people's issues, even though she did enjoy helping her people and planning out their future.

When her fighter, fast as it was, drew near enough to the big carrier, she flipped on the auto-pilot and programmed a course that would keep the ship out of harm's way in case she ended up needing it again. Then she popped the hatch and stood up, allowing herself to float out and above the fighter before she kicked the thrusters in and shot her way through space towards the ship, channeling her inner Obi-wan Kenobi, as it were, though she had no idea who that even was. Who cared about 800-year-old dead guys anyway?

She used the Force to confuse herself on any radar, and as she neared the vessel she created a wedge of the Force in front of her to allow herself to pierce the ship's particle shield without smashing into it. That wouldn't be very much fun. Instead, she landed on the outside of the ship. An interesting ship design. She kind of liked it. The magnetic boots of her suit were clicked on to allow her to latch to the hull, and then she started searching for any sort of hatch or weak spot that could make a good entry point. She was sure they could see her if they were on the bridge but she didn't care. If it kept them busy, maybe someone else could show up to help the stricken ships.

Whilst all this chaos unfolded, where was Yao Powzaa?


"Slow day today..."

The young Silver Guardian muttered to himself, reclined in the cockpit of his ship, swiveling in the captain's chair whilst fiddling his lightsaber in between his fingers, his mind adrift far off in a land where he was gracefully slashing down adversary after adversary - saving multiple lives in the process. You know, cool dude stuff. As a Guardian, he probably should've been more alert, more vigilant for the action he was in dire need of - but when it came to the whole Silver Guardian thing, he was still a rookie, learning the ropes of how to stay ever-vigilant in the face of unwavering boredom while on space patrol!

"What am I talking about? It's always a slow day... so by that logic it's a regular day. And a regular day is very, very, very bori-"

Powzaa's pessimism was cut off by a brief alarm blare on his comms, the Nautolan's eyes widened and his hearts skipped a beat. Powzaa whipped back to face the control panel, and like an experienced slicer his fingers typed so many keys at once it looked like he was just slamming random letters. When this finished, a flickering blue holoscreen crackled to his sight, and a... honestly worrying smile crept along his face "An SOS... an SOS! YES! I mean it's probably a dire emergency where lives are at stake and I shouldn't be celebrating but..." Powzaa's voice got notably higher in pitch, and his eyes cocked down to his lightsaber hilt, clenching it ever tighter, and he began talking to the weapon as if it were a person. "I think we may finally be able to save someone, old buddy. Like an actual Jedi. Let's do this."

Yao systemtically pressed a rapid series of buttons, pulled some levers, switched three flips, and jimmied in his seat for maximum comfortabilty whilst strapping himself in, clipping his lightsaber hilt to his belt. The starship zipped forward toward the SOS. Yao's heart was racing. As a Padawan he'd been on a scuffle or two on a few planets here and there. But it was never anything major, nothing that really felt like it made a very significant difference. But this? This was all the difference. Finally, as a Guardian, he had something to guard, and he could barely contain the excitement.

"It's go-time, baby!"

Tabitha did not take the Strill before her calming down as a sign to relax, and tensed when the strange command entered her ears. Were they-

The young Mandalorian didn't have time to finish that thought before the Strill tackled her to the ground. Tabitha's lips pulled back in a snarl as she glared at the person before her. As her eyes traveled down to the Tracy'kals in his hands, rage washed over her face, With a scream of anger, Tabitha pushed herself up from the floor, and launched herself at her opponent.

"<WHO ARE YOU, AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THOSE BLADES?!>"

Her grip tightened on the knife in her hand, and she raised it to aim a stab at the Gred-impostor's upper arm.

"<No Gred I know would dare attack medical ships! How DARE you try to sully my friend's reputation!>"
