PERSONALITY:

5U-K5 himself is rather a dull and, outside of battle, rather uncreative. He is known however to start various rumours about both himself and others, though he believes them to be facts due to his corrupted memories. In his mind droids are superior to all biological life and only helps them if they can aid his current orders.

While his orders are paramount and must be followed, 5U-K5 has been known to ‘twist’ the wording of his orders to create loopholes allowing him to do something he otherwise would not be allowed to.

BIOGRAPHY

5U-K5s earliest memories are of him being activated on a freighter by a raider who had just killed the crew and attempted to reprogram the droid to follow his orders. Upon being restarted, 5U-K5 automatically ran a diagnostic of all systems. He found new hardware and protocols to use it. The only information he could get at first was the protocol name, “Parallel Memory Storage and Restoration” or ‘PMSR’. Whatever it was it seemed to trigger on certain conditions automatically. With most other systems reporting green, aside from a few corrupted files, the droid stood up and looked over the raider, his memories show that the man was his owner. 5U-K5 picked up the blaster by his side and turned back to the raider who was now rummaging through one of the storage crates.

“All systems operational Sir. Several corrupted files have been found and will be dealt with, however this will not hinder my functions. What are your orders?” The raider responded by pointing at another crate and telling him to “Find something valuable”. 5U-K5 began to rummage through the crate as the PSMR ran. The protocol managed to repair the bad files, and find the cause of damage. The raider had overwritten the droids primary memories to trick him into thinking he belonged to the raider and stopping him from doing his mission, ‘Obtain Power’.

The droid picked another blaster out of the crate, turned and shot the raider without a word. Anyone who would prevent him from his objective must be terminated. Leaving the dead or dying raider on the floor 5U-K5 went to the cockpit, pulled the corpse of the original pilot out of the seat. He scanned the console and saw the fuel for the ship was low. He returned to the cargo hold and through the docking port to the raiders ship. Scanning through the raiders ship he found the location of the raiders home and set course.

SKILLS
  • Parallel Memory Storage and Recovery - 5U-K5 has a multiple memory storage units that work in parallel to store the files. If one core is wiped, the others attempt to reconstruct the removed files. This is effective to various degrees.
  • Adaptive Intellect - 5U-K5s programming is designed to grow, allowing him to learn from his experiences.
  • Pilot Protocols – Preprogrammed protocols that come by default with this class of droid.
  • Languages - Galactic Basic Standard, Binary and Sith
  • Average combat skills - Primarily designed for combat, 5U-K5 contains many combat scenarios and experiences pre programmed.
  • Slicing Protocols(Flawed) - A portion of protocols reconstructed by the PMSR system. Some of these protocols are not as they are meant to be.

Negatives

  • Parallel Memory Storage and Recovery - 5U-K5 often misremember past events, believing himself the hero of some stories and savior in others. It can also lead to starting baseless rumours that cause trouble, even though he doesn’t mean to.
  • Droid - Has a limited battery life and requires a short time to recharge. He is completely defenseless while recharging.

GEAR

  • Armour Plating - Durasteel Plating
  • Heuristic Processor
  • Reader Socket
  • Scomp Link
  • Vocabulator
  • Integrated Commlink
  • Thermal Underweave - Can resist a single flame based attack before needing to be replaced.
