STRENGTHS
  • Robust: The Y-Fender's heavy armor plating and dual deflector shield system ensures that the starfighter is able to sustain significant damage without being destroyed
  • Heavily armed: The Y-Fender can engage a variety of different targets thanks to its powerful and varied onboard armament
  • Speed boost: Since the Y-Fender comes equipped with SLAM, it can temporarily increase its speed beyond its normal limits
  • Maneuverability boost: In a similar fashion, the Y-Fender is also equipped with a Proprietary Internal Maneuverability System, allowing the craft to increase its agility in a dogfight
WEAKNESSES
  • Mediocre performance: When not engaging its speed and maneuverability boosts, the Y-Fender "Ugly" is only capable of attaining mediocre performance, making it vulnerable to faster moving fighters
  • Reduced visibility: An unfortunate quirk of the Y-Fender is the fact that it is relatively difficult to see out of, limiting overall visibility
  • Small squadron size: The average Y-Fender squadron only contains a total of 8 starfighters, making the craft vulnerable to smaller, more numerous enemy assets
DESCRIPTION

Prior to its ascension into the Imperial Confederation, the Y-Fender "Ugly" once represented the pinnacle of Mahporeenian starfighter design and ingenuity, being constructed from parts of a Y-Wing and TIE Defender. However, after being admitted to the Confederation as a full fledged member, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant soon discovered that the Y-Fender was simply unable to compete with more modern and advanced designs, and the starfighter soon faded in obscurity.

That being said, in an attempt to wrestle some modicum of independence from the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, the Imperial Remnant made the decision to restart production of the starfighter with a number of key improvements. First and foremost was the addition of a SubLight Acceleration Motor system and a Proprietary Internal Maneuverability System, allowing the Y-Fender to keep up with faster, more agile ships than itself. The Imperial Remnant then installed a variety of Dornean technology onto the ship, making the Y-Fender even more lethal than it had originally had been. Final improvements included the installation of modular weapon systems, making the Y-Fender even easier to construct than ever before.

That being said, though a robust and capable design, the Y-Fender "Ugly" still suffers from generally mediocre performance and a small squadron size, allowing smaller, more numerous starfighters to take advantage of the vessel during atmospheric and space combat. Nonetheless, the Imperial Remnant believes that the Y-Fender "Ugly" can play an important role in Imperial combat operations, regardless of its age or origins.

STRENGTHS
  • Overwhelming firepower: Many of the weapon systems installed aboard the CR125U Corvette are exceptionally powerful, giving the ship a surprisingly high amount of firepower in a relatively small design
  • Heavy armor: The CR125U's upgraded armor gives the vessel considerably more staying power when compared to its predecessors
  • Carrier: Each CR125U Corvette is capable of transporting up to 8 starfighters into combat, giving the ship a considerable amount of flexibility
  • All rounder: The Assault Laser Cannons installed onboard the CR125U Corvette are capable of easily tracking fast moving starfighters and destroying more heavily armored capital ships
  • Performance enhancement: The CR125U is capable of temporarily boosting its speed and maneuverability thanks to its onboard systems
  • Reliability: All CR125U Corvettes are highly reliable, being unlikely to malfunction or breakdown
WEAKNESSES
  • Limited weapon slots: One of the biggest drawbacks of the CR125U is its limited number of weapon slots, forcing the ship to rely on the power of each individual weapon rather than sheer numbers of weapons themselves
  • Short range: Though immensely powerful, the CR125U's Assault Laser Cannons possess a short effective range, forcing the ship to get up close and personal with its targets
  • Broadside: The way that the CR125U is designed means that it is most effective when engaging targets in a broadside, though its "Can-Opener" Rotary Laser Cannon and Assault Concussion Missile Launcher can only engage front facing targets
  • Large: The CR125U straddles the line between corvette and frigate, being rather large for a ship of its class
  • Vulnerable: The CR125U's hangar is especially vulnerable to being targeted by enemy fire
DESCRIPTION

Though it once represented the pinnacle of Mahporeenian naval design, the CR125 Corvette proved to be hopelessly outdated by 902 A.B.Y, and all Mahporeenian attempts to upgrade the vessel had resulted in failure, leaving the CR125A and CR125B variants of the ship to fade away into obscurity. Coupled with the fact that Mahporeem Imperial Remnant was slowly replacing these ships with Loki-Class Fast Corvettes, their was a very real possibly that the CR125 line would be retired once and for all from Mahporeenian service.

However, that changed upon meeting Bido Roz’lyn Bido Roz’lyn , who made a deal with the Imperial Remnant in order to save the production of he ship. In exchange for selling half of the remaining CR125 Corvette hulls to her faction, the Dornean would provide Mahporeem access to a number of technologies that would allow the ship to compete with more modern designs. Eager to keep the size of their navy as large as possible, Mahporeem readily agreed, creating the CR125U Corvette.

The main changes given to the CR125U involved revamping its armament. The standard laser cannons installed aboard the vessel were replaced with Assault Laser Cannon variants, which were powerful enough to rival turbolasers at the cost of reduced range. When supplied with Dornean Plasma, these cannons are capable of punching through Star Destroyer sized vessels while still being able to quickly track and acquire more nimble starfighters. The ship's F-9 Heavy Ion Cannon was replaced with a Can-Opener" Rotary Laser Cannon, while a single Assault Concussion Missile Launcher was installed on the ship, an ordinance launcher usually seen on far larger Battlecruisers. Finally, a single Space Mine Ejector was added in between the ship's Hoersch-Kessel Ion Drive Engines.

For a vessel of its size, the CR125U is surprisingly destructive, able to effectively counter starfighters, support craft and even capital ships with its varied and powerful armament. Of course, the CR125U does suffer against larger, more heavily armed and armored ships than itself but is more than capable of holding its own regardless of what might be thrown against it.

  • Maintenance nightmare: Like many Mahporeem designs, the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator is built from a number of different ships. This can make acquiring spare parts a difficult task
DESCRIPTION

In preparation for their upcoming campaign against the Sith Order, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant has begun the long and arduous process of reorganizing their ground, aerial and naval forces. In doing so, Mahporeem has quickly discovered that they are woefully unprepared for a major ground invasion of Sith held space. To rectify this situation, Mahporeem has begun designing a number of new vehicles and spacecraft for use in their current and future campaigns.

One of these designs is the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator. Like many designs originating from Mahporeem, it too is a combination of different ships and ship parts: the YT-1760 Small Transport, the Lambda-class T-4a Shuttle and the TIE/sa Tactical Bomber. The idea behind this particular model was to create a gunship capable of engaging a variety of different targets in both space and inside a planet's atmosphere.

The Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator performs this task admirably, thanks to the potent and varied weapons that it carries. In additional to a number of heavy blaster and laser cannons, the Lambda-class YT-1760 also possesses a pair of heavy mass-driver cannons and four proton torpedo launchers. This armament allows the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator to engage nearly any conceivable type of target. It is also heavily armored, to fully maximize its destructive potential.

Of course, the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator is quite vulnerable to enemy starfighters, due to its low speed and mediocre maneuverability. Though the craft possesses more than enough weapons to defend itself, it was not designed to combat such small and nimble targets, and should always be sent into battle with a starfighter escort if possible.

  • Carrier: The Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier is first and foremost a fleet carrier, capable of transporting up to 52 starfighters and support ships within its armored hull
  • Transport: The Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier can also transport a fully armed company of up to 114 soldiers to and from the battlefield
  • Firepower: The latest iteration of the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier is far more heavily armed than its predecessors ever were, sporting Assault Laser Cannons, Rotary Laser Cannons and Assault Concussion Missile Launchers
  • Armored: For a ship of its size, the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier is surprisingly heavily armored, capable of taking a large amount of damage without being destroyed
WEAKNESSES
  • Short range: Most of the weapons installed aboard the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier possess a short effective range, forcing the ship to get up close and personal with its targets
  • Firing arc: The Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier's longest ranged weapons, its "Can-Opener" Rotary Laser Cannons and Assault Concussion Missile Launchers, are affixed to a forward firing arc, preventing them from engaging anything behind or to the side of the ship
  • Back line combatant: Though it is relatively heavily armed and armored, the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier is not designed to be a front line combatant, working best from the rear of fleet formations
  • Microfractures: The Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier is vulnerable to microfractures, requiring constant repair and maintenance
DESCRIPTION

Though it once represented the pinnacle of Mahporeenian naval design, the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier proved to be hopelessly outdated by 902 A.B.Y, and all Mahporeenian attempts to upgrade the vessel had resulted in failure, resulting in the Imperial Remnant seeking to replace the design with Laimar-class Stealth Carriers. Yet, thanks to the timely intervention of Bido Roz’lyn Bido Roz’lyn , the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant decided to make one final attempt to save the production line of the starship, believing that such a ship still had use throughout the galaxy.

The main upgrades applied to the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier revolved around giving the ship new armament. A total of eight Assault Laser Cannons were installed atop the vessel, and its laser cannons and turbolaser cannons were replaced with Spitfire Rapid Fire Laser Cannons and "Can-Opener" Rotary Laser Cannons, respectively. A pair of Assault Concussion Missile Launchers, usually seen installed aboard Battlecruiser sized vessels, was added to the ship to round out its armament, giving the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier the ability to engage starfighters, support craft and even capital ships far larger than itself while retaining its ability to carry 52 starfighters and support craft of its own.

Of course, even with its upgrades and improvements, the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier remains very much a "back line" combatant, albeit one that can punch above its weight class and surprise enemy fleets with powerful weaponry of its own, to say nothing about being less expensive to produce and manufacture than Laimar-class Stealth Carriers.

  • BRRRRRRT: The DS-50's "Can-Opener" Rotary Laser Cannons are capable of outputting frightening amounts of firepower, making the ships well suited for close air support operations
  • Maneuverable: The DS-50 is surprisingly maneuverable for a ship of its type, and can temporarily make itself even more maneuverable thanks to its P-w401 Ion Maneuvering Jets
  • Homing: The FAE/C-02 Tractor Guidance Network gives the DS-50's laser cannons limited homing capabilities against enemy targets
  • Aquatic: The DS-50 is capable of operating underwater for limited periods of time
WEAKNESSES
  • Slow: The DS-50 is a relatively slow moving ship, though it can temporarily increase its speed to a certain degree
  • No ordinance: The "Can-Opener" Rotary Laser Cannons installed aboard the DS-50 are so large that they prevent the ship from utilizing any sort of ordinance launchers
  • Power drain: The DS-50 is notorious for consuming large amounts of power, which might cause the craft to act erratically or even crash if not properly managed
  • Untapped potential: Non-aquatic species of aliens may not be able to get the most out of the DS-50 due to their incompatibility with certain ship systems
DESCRIPTION

Though the DS-47 TIE Fighter proved to be a reliable and formidable design, such a series of ship also proved to be far to expensive to produce in large numbers, forcing the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant to reconsider its production run. Using data taken from Bido Roz’lyn Bido Roz’lyn , the Imperial Remnant decided to produce a more "streamlined" variant of the ship more suitable for larger scale production: the DS-50 series.

Compared to the DS-47, the DS-50 is less heavily armed and armored, though it is far more maneuverable. While it may not have the raw firepower of the DS-47, the DS-50 is more than capable of taking out enemy targets with its Chin Mounted L-S9.3 Laser Cannons and "Can-Opener" Rotary Laser Cannons, both of which have been upgraded with Dornean Plasma.

The DS-50 also comes equipped with a FAE/C-02 Tractor Guidance Network, which essentially gives the craft's weapon systems limited homing abilities. No matter where the enemy may be fighting, the DS-50 is generally able to target them even if at an odd angle or off axis, though this does mean that the craft tends to consume power at an alarmingly high rate. Nonetheless, when used properly, the DS-50 is an impressive piece of Imperial kit, one that allows its pilots to dominate on land, under water, and in the air!
