SPECIAL FEATURES

• This software modulates repulsorlift emitters to resonate with the frequency of shields for a combined effect. The resulting field is a more advanced barrier that defends against exotic damage types.
• With this software, Repulsors can remodulate and reinforce the shields to obstruct unusual ordnances like tractor beams, pressor beams, telekinesis, and sonic weapons.
• In the case with kinetic weapons – including telekinesis – the repulsors use their own kinetic energy to bolster shields to take some of the load off of them, reducing the rate of shield erosion drastically.

WEAKNESSES

• A Weak Spine – While the repulsorlift infusion will permeate the whole shield barrier, the reinforcement effect will usually favour the side of the object/ship that the repulsors are on – which is usually the ventral side. Significant modifications to add omnidirectional repulsorlift coverage would be needed to mitigate this effect. However, this is a software technology, and hardware overhauls are purchased separately...
• Retasking Repulsors – if a ship/object does not have additional repulsors to be dedicated for this software, then the software would need to be deactivated whenever the repulsors are being used as a form of propulsion.

DESCRIPTION
One day the Dorneans were wondering why slugthrowers weren't often favoured over blasters when during a training exercise, a clever hover droid started using its repulsors to easily deflect slugs defensively. That was when the Dorneans remembered that repulsors are a thing.

And that slugthrowers suck… Mel.

Anyways, The Dorneans decided to take this a step further, maintaining momentum through their current software trend. Using nothing but software to precisely regulate the power output of repulsorlift engines, they were able to link that to the shield modulation to infuse repulsorlift energy into shield barriers through a resonance effect. This infusion was a revelation, successfully creating a barrier that can block a wide variety of exotic damage types, and increases resistance to kinetic forces.
