  • Corvette Berth - Located across the massive pyramid is a series of berths designed to hold a Corvette no larger than 200m in length. Alternatively, these berths are capable of being modified to carry two Corvettes, each one no larger than 100m in length.

  • Frigate Berth - While not as numerous as the berths that carry Corvettes - the Frigate Berths are capable of holding a vessel no larger than 500m in length. Likewise, if the berth is properly modified, it is capable of carrying two Frigates, each one no larger than 250m in length.

  • AR-0B Damage Reduction Armor Component - Crawling across the surface of the massive pyramidal vessel is a continual ablative current which assists in removing harmful materials and substances as a means of minimizing hull damage. This current also serves to extend the longevity of the vessel’s hull.

  • MXC-T18 Tyr Tactical Command Network - A secure communications suite that allows for protected encrypted messages to be sent between individual devices within a fleet. Assists in managing fleet movement, sharing data, sensor scans, and communications between vessels.

  • GalaxyGuard Mk VII - A shield booster developed by BvK Fleet Systems; the GalaxyGuard provides additional endurance and range to a Starship’s Deflector Shields. Multiple such systems work in tandem to greatly increase this effect.

  • Sith Meditation Sphere - Buried deep within the heart of the vessel is an ancient warship once utilized by the nascent Sith Empire. In a time long since forgotten, these vessels were used by the likes of the ancient Sith Lord Naga Sadow for Battle Meditation. The chamber itself is crafted to the specifications of Darth Metus, and assists in amplifying his mental based force abilities.

  • Automation - Much of the vessel is heavily automated, requiring only a small number of organic crew members to operate the vessel.

  • Overlapping Fields of Fire - Due in part to the overall structural design of the vessel, many of its weapons maintain a series of overlapping fields of fire. This allows the vessel to bear multiple weapons against a single target within that firing arc, concentrating more destructive force where needed.

  • Automation - Much of the vessel is heavily automated, requiring only a small number of organic crew to operate the vessel; however, with sufficiently concentrated Ion or EMP strikes against the vessel, much of these automated systems can be rendered inoperable or destroyed - leaving the vessel without the needed numbers to properly operate.

  • Berth Shields Down - In order to deploy the Corvettes or Frigates from their respected berths, the shields that protect those areas must first be lowered. During this process and the time it takes for the Corvettes or Frigates to launch, these berths are vulnerable; as well as leaving the internal structure of the vessel itself vulnerable to attack and damage.

  • Turning in September… 20XX - The vessel’s maneuverability can be best described as having none whatsoever. While it is capable of turning - not only traveling in a straight line - the time that it takes to initiate and execute said turn can often take hours; if not days, to accomplish.

  • Broadside of a Mountain - You’re not going to miss… Point your cannons and fire… If you do miss, we’ll all be amazed and likely refer you to see an optical specialist for a check-up.

  • Dark Side Aura - Deep within the heart of the vessel is an ancient Sith Meditation Sphere which is utilized to amplify the mental force abilities of Darth Metus - or whatever Dark Side Force User is within the Sphere - however, this means that an appropriate, and powerful Light Side Force Power (Such as an opposing Battle Meditation or Wall of Light) can mitigate or otherwise cancel out these effects.
    • Master Force User - A Light Side Master would completely negate or cancel out the mental force power (such as Battle Meditation)
    • Knight Force User - While not capable of negating or canceling out the mental force power (such as Battle Meditation), they would begin to distort and counteract the ability used
    • Apprentice Force User - Would only cause minimal distortion of the force ability, though would likely be overcome by attempting to counteract or negate a power utilized by a Knight or Master level Force User

  • A Mind of its Own - Perhaps someone misplaced a (1) in the Binary. Or a Ghost has taken up residence within the Machine. Maybe the Sith Meditation Sphere is to blame. Whatever the cause, the vessel seems to have a mind of its own, and one who's mental state is difficult to pin down. At times it seems to be benign, acting in the best interest of the crew. Other times it is malevolent, acting it what it deems to be its best interest. Either way, it takes a great deal of mental strength to dominate the “living spirit” of the vessel - and if one were to not be concentrating at keeping it in line (during say an engagement), the spirit could potentially cause problems for the vessel and crew.
    • Master Force User - Is capable of keeping the spirit in check; 75% chance the spirit is Benign and assists the crew, 25% chance the spirit acts Malevolently
    • Knight Force User - While capable of keeping the spirit in check, they still have some difficulty; 50% chance the spirit is Benign and assist the crew, 50% chance the spirit acts Malevolently
    • Apprentice Force User - Must focus a great deal and concentrate to keep the spirit in check, even then, it may prove too much for the individual; 25% chance the spirit is Benign and assists the crew, 75% chance the spirit acts Malevolently

  • Blindspots - While many of the weapons are set up to take advantage of the vessel’s design to permit overlapping fields of fire, there are some areas of the vessel in which blindspots can be exploited. These areas are located near the points of the pyramidal structure, as well as closer to the hull itself, where a small enough vessel could slip in and take advantage.

  • Fast Moving Targets - Even with its myriad of technologies and automated systems, the vessel still has trouble when dealing with fast-moving, small targets, such as Starfighter Interceptors, and Fast Attack Corvettes, or Gunships. These vessels are capable of rapidly slipping between the vessel’s overlapping fields of fire, and getting close to the hull - requiring they be dislodged by sending in Starfighters or Corvettes to support the vessel.

  • Atmospheric Shields - Though incapable of landing on a planet, it is still capable of entering the atmosphere of a world. However, doing so puts an inordinate amount of strain on the vessel’s shields; often weakening them - and the limited atmospheric shielding that it does have is often not enough to stop a substantial amount of firepower from breaking through and damaging the vessel.

The origins of the Winnower-class Super Star Destroyer remain a mystery to this day, though some liken the design and its original builders to the Ancient Sith - at least in terms of invention and creation. The vessel itself is a massive pyramidal structure; its exterior is jet black, save for brilliant crimson red features that cause the vessel to appear as though it were a massive Sith Holocron. Buried deep within the Super Star Destroyer is an ancient Sith Meditation Sphere; these vessels were used by the nascent Sith Empire - specifically Naga Sadow - to deploy Battle Meditation and assist in commanding fleets. The interior of these spheres was redesigned to the exact specifications of Darth Metus, making it as much a personal Meditation Chamber as a personal - albeit small - residence. However, it seems that some ancient spirit that had once resided within the sphere (or perhaps it was merely a miscalculation in the binary code) has taken up residence within the larger vessel itself. While at times this spirit is apparently benign, there are times when it is much more malevolent, requiring that a strong mind dominate the spirit to prevent it from causing damage to the vessel or the crew. However, even this can be a challenge at times. Likewise, due in part to the ancient Sith Meditation Sphere, the vessel gives off an Aura of the Dark Side - allowing it to be sensed by other Force Users. This also proves a detriment, as a Force User that is strong enough in the Light Side of the Force - such as a Master or Knight - would be capable of canceling out or distorting the mental based force powers (such as Battle Meditation) that one may be projecting from within the Sphere.

The vessel itself though is one built for war as much as its appearance is designed for terror or awe. A series of berths are placed throughout the vessel, allowing it to carry multiple Corvettes and Frigates, alongside its already expansive Starfighter and Support Craft carrying capabilities. These berths however have their own drawback, that being the shields that protect them must be lowered in order to launch the vessel from the berth. During this time, it leaves the interior of the vessel exposed to damage - thus it is highly recommended that the vessels be launched before an engagement, when not engaged with an enemy, or ensuring that the particular berth in question is pointed away from enemy fire. Added defenses include multiple GalaxyGuards, designed to assist in providing additional endurance to Deflector Shields, as well as increasing their range - and like many vessels constructed by Von Sorenn Industries, a Damaged Reduction Armor Component; an ablative current that runs along the hull to assist in removing of debris and substances from the hull to further its longevity and reduce damage overall. These systems are bolstered by the vessel’s expansive defensive capabilities, such as anti-missile countermeasures, point defense cannons, flak cannons, and additional shielding systems.

Highly automated, the vessel sees a number of systems and sections of the vessel not requiring organic crew - allowing them to focus on a more specific and specialized location rather than running over the ship and requiring a greater crew complement. However, this automation is also detrimental to the vessel, as a sustained Ion or EMP assault on the vessel has the potential to render these systems inoperable, or otherwise destroy their circuitry, resulting in less than the optimal operation of the vessel; as the organic crew complement would not be sufficient to properly operate the vessel.

Additionally, it is nearly impossible to miss the vessel - quite literally - all one needs to do is simply aim their weapons and fire; they’ll hit something on the vessel. All the same, it also has no maneuvering capabilities whatsoever, as seen in a simple fact that it takes the vessel an inordinate amount of time just to execute a turn or slight movement adjustment. However, the Winnower-class Super Star Destroyer was not designed for fast movements and speed, rather, it was designed around the destructive capabilities of its combined arms of weapons, starfighters, and berths. The vessel carries an impressive array of weaponry, from Quad Turbolasers and Laser Cannons to Railguns and Torpedo Launchers. The vessel even maintains a number of Ion Cannons and Tractor Beam Projectors for the explicit purpose of disabling and capturing enemy vessels.

Yet, it is rather apparent that the vessel has a difficult time when it comes to tracking and targeting fast-moving vessels such as Starfighters, Corvettes, and Fast Attack Frigates. In fact, even with the automated systems and programs meant to assist in aiming these weapons, it is still possible for these fast-moving vessels to slip in under the vessel’s overlapping fields of fire. Many of its weapons are placed in such a manner to provide covering fields of fire; however the closer to the vessel’s hull - and the points of the pyramidal structure - are seen as blindspots in these fields. Thus if a fast enough vessel were capable of slipping through the fields, they would be more than capable of wreaking havoc against the vessel. This often causes it to rely upon its own compliments to assist in dealing with these enemy vessels.

All in all, to summarize, the Winnower-class Super Star Destroyer is a slow-moving, heavy-hitting behemoth capable of launching its own complement of Starfighters, Corvettes, and Frigates - though is often at the mercy of smaller, fast-moving craft.
