ETERNAL LEGION
TACTICAL BATTLE SECTION

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Tactical Battle Section of the Eternal Legion
  • Affiliation: Imperial Technocracy of Zakuul and Vandemar
  • Classification: Heavy Clone Stormtroopers
  • Description: The Tactical Battle Sections are the backbone of heavy hitting Clone Troopers of the Eternal Legion, equipped for serious infantry combat and trained for a great variety of operations. They are entirely composed of Homo Aurum clones bred in the Star Fortress Invictus Antagonistes and are fiercely loyal and extremely disciplined. They are known for their stoic attitude towards outsiders but a brotherly approach to each other. Among their peers they are considered to be the 'ordinary' or 'regulars' but are more than capable to assume nearly any role on the battlefield.

COMBAT INFORMATION

STRENGTHS
  • Supersoldiers
  • Military Versatility
  • Powerful Equipment
  • Force Dead

WEAKNESSES
  • Stealth? No Thank You.
  • Social Difficulties
  • Overconfident
  • Weakness to Force based attacks

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Project: Genesis of the Imperator Aurelian Sigismund Aurelian Sigismund saw the founding of a new generation of Clone Troopers after the practical experiments with the Rim-Guard Order. Meant to supplement the New Imperial Order and later Empire with a caste of extremely capable super-soldiers, the Eternal Legion was instituted shortly before the Battle of Exegol and hence saw little service in the Second Great Hyperspace War, due to the decline of the Empire and its capabilities as well as the focus of their founder on rebuilding both Zakuul and his new home, Vandemar.

In the two decades that followed, the Eternal Legion grew in size and capability equally, making way for plenty more Legionaries and also for introducing further organisation into the now founded Legions. Unit distinctions were made to increase combat effectiveness and elevate the troops from a supplementing force to a stand-alone army. Though despite early estimates and a more than extreme training regime, it took more than ten years to achieve the desired capability in the clones, but now surpassing Death Troopers and other elite formations.

The first of the unit types created was the Tactical Battle Section, an eight clones battle unit meant for the simple and straight forward duties on the battlefield and direct confrontations as well as tactical flexibility due to training and weapons layout. Usually equipped for ranged and melee combat alike, the Legionaries are a jack of all trades and the majority of clones would deploy as such. Supported by the more specialised Tactical Assault Sections, Tactical Support Sections as well as the Tactical Command Sections, the Legionaries would move to battle as part of a Century.

Always equipped with heavy and long ranged weapons, the Exterminators are a devastating unit on the battlefield and provide vital fire support for the Vindicator and Expugnator sections. Carrying the extra-heavy guns onto the battlefield, the Exterminators are living up to their name entirely.

The final of the standard unit types created was the Evocati Command Section, an eight clones battle unit meant to inspire and lead the others on the battlefield and in direct confrontations as well as offering and performing tactical flexibility due to training and weapons layout, but excelling at close quarters. Leading the more specialised Expugnator Assault Sections, Exterminator Support Sections and of course Vindicator Battle Sections, the Evocati would move to battle as part of a century.

They are the command section of the Century, holding the Standard with the units insignia high and are personally led by the Century commander who oversees the battle from within this unit of veterans.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Tradition Name: [ Zakuulan Lightsaber Combat - The Knights Cut & The Heroes Cut ]
  • Tradition Type: [ Melee & Lightsaber Combat Form ]
  • Tradition Focus: [ Combat, Physical, Force ]
  • Influence: [ Minor (localized to a small area) ]
  • Orientation: [ Balanced ]
  • Influence Area: [ Zakuul (origin), Iokath ]
  • Symbol: [ If your Force tradition has symbols or icons that are associated with it, include or describe them. ]
  • Description:[ Give a general description of the Force tradition. ]
    • The Knights Cut - Embodiment of Izax
      • Introduction: Among the Force User and Force Combatant traditions of galactic history, the Knights of Zakuul take a special place. Uniform, formations, Force-atheistic, they go even further than the Imperial Knights. They are not a loose brotherhood of Force warriors, they are soldiers. Disciplined, drilled and above all else, zealous. These are the key tenets for their approach to doing their duty which more than often involves the application of violence through combat. It is elementary to understand their philosophy and ideals to understand how their fighting can be so rational and clean while bordering the fanatical.
      • Philosophy: Founded by no other than the greatest and most powerful Sith Lord who roamed the Galaxy, though unknown to them, the Knights of Zakuul were formed from the traditions of the rural tribes on the Wild Space world Zakuul, combining old beliefs, traditional values with technology and a cult of person, the cult of Valkorion. The Knights would be indoctrinated to believe their powers comes from the Eternal Emperor, that the Force was his gift and only duty could extend it. They would be taught that it was a gift but nevertheless nothing more than a tool to achieve the ultimate goal of justice - justice in form of peace, stability, order and enforcement of the will of their Immortal Emperor. Hence why they rejected the ideas of Light and Dark, aware of them, but opposing them and achieving an altruistic and open Force order where its members were responsible and willing to share knowledge and maintain balance in each other. A close community of peace-enforcers.
      • Goal: The Knights of Zakuul were raised and trained for a purpose which they would never know about - to defeat the Sith and Jedi, as their founder and master knew these enemies. They did not. Their approach to the Force and to Combat was to be superior to that of the Jedi and Sith and one aspect which those two orders lacked absolutely: cohesion. Cohesion as a fighting force. There were very few exceptions of pairs or couples of Jedi or Sith who would know how to fight together, despite them being at war for decades at the time. An idea both of them neglected was militarisation, not only creating warriors - but soldiers. The Knights of Zakuul are soldiers. And their combat doctrine would reflect that. Superiority in formations, in unity, in cohesion and discipline, achieved through relentless training, indoctrination and installing a great sense of brotherhood and comradery within their ranks.
    • The Heroes Cut - Righteous Wrath of Tyth
      • Introduction: Considering all that was stated above, there would always be those who grew beyond the unit, achieved high ranks and were natural prodigies of combat and in the Force. Most notably the family of the Eternal Emperor was more than exceptional in their proficiency in combat and followed a path which may have started in the Knights Cut, but moved far and beyond that. Other notable examples are the Exarchs and Paladins of the Knights, veteran soldiers who became warriors in their own right. Nevertheless, the focus and balance, the discipline and goals remained the same, with one notable addition.
      • Philosophy: Zealousness would for those who either had the vision, intelligence or strength to look ahead be the stepstone to one virtue and one alone: ambition. Even in achieving and performing ultimate duty would lie ambition for the Knights. For those who ascended through the ranks and showed the potential, the Heroes Cut would be the tool to pursue said ambitions. It was an ultimate expression of confidence, arrogance even, and of supremacy. Hard to learn and even harder to master, it was in the end as diverse as its practitioners. It emphasized on the total and utter defeat of the enemy, be it a single or group, through any means necessary. However the goal, the ideal was not solely to overpower the adversary, it was also to dictate the supremacy of the idea, of justice, of the Eternal Empire as supreme entity.
      • Goal: The Heroes Cut was the tool of domination both the Eternal Empire and the Knights of Zakuul had to offer, it was the flesh-born equivalent of the Eternal Fleet. It was sudden, overwhelming and violent, achieving a victory which was so absolute that it would echo through eternity. Of course it was the counter-part to what the masters of the great Lightsaber forms would have to offer, it was designed to overwhelm them, to exploit weakness and to make an example.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

PRODUCTION INFORMATION

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

STANDARD FEATURES

ADVANCED SYSTEMS

STRENGTHS
  • Powerhouse - The Invictus is a warship with an impressive offensive array of weapons and a formidable defensive suit supported by powerful reactors to support these features with a primary and secondary supply which makes it extremely enduring in its output of its systems.
  • Gravity - With extensive systems dedicated to utilizing hyperspace as a weapon, the Invictus is fitted with gravity well projectors, systems to overcome them and how to track the enemy in hyperspace.
  • Drive Me Closer - The Invictus, next to being a battleship, is structured to make it possible to take an exceptional amount of equipment for ground forces and ground units itself in, capable of supplying an invasion force.
  • Hit Hard, Hit Fast - In line with its engineers ideals of ship designs, the Invictus is fast for its size, capable of getting quickly where it needs to go and even getting out.

WEAKNESSES
  • Hulking Behemoth - The Invictus is no agile ship by any means and is extremely slow on the turn and its turning radius is quite massive.
  • Where? - Showing an impressive weapons array designed for direct battles with ships on distance, the closer you get the less weapons can fire on you. This is especially true for the rear and between the engines where there are nearly no weapons.
  • Volatile - The power the battleship is getting from both its primary and secondary supply is immense, but both reactors are extremely volatile if destabilised or not handled well and can lead to catastrophic failure and up to rapid unscheduled disassembly.

DESCRIPTION
(Describe some of the history behind the submission. Please provide a detailed account or link of each special feature that is listed in this submission. Give us some idea of how it might perform its function, what it excels against and what some limitations of it are. This is where you talk about your idea, flesh it out over at least a good-sized paragraph, and address some of the ways it might be used or abused. All miscellaneous descriptive elements go here, such as Cargo Capacity, Passengers, Consumables, Crew, etc. For especially powerful or ambitious submissions, a very thorough description is recommended.)

The Citadel of the Hegemon

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create the governmental citadel and military headquarters of the Hegemony of Vandemar.
  • Canon: N/A
  • Permissions: [Please link any Marketplace purchase or similar approvals to use other Writers' content as part of this submission.]
  • Links: The Spire, Hand of Thrawn
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Military Base Name: Spire of the Hegemon
  • Classification: Citadel, Headquarters
  • Location: Zakuul, The Spire
  • Affiliation: Hegemony of Vandemar
  • Population: Heavy
  • Demographics: Humans, Droids, Arkanians, Echani, Thyrsians, Zabrak
  • Accessibility:
    • The Citadel's location is known to the public, so is its main entrance, but what lies beyond is far from the reaches of ordinary citizens. Other than Zakuuls original and dominants cityscape and architecture, the Citadel goes beneath the surface, buried below the massive city itself, many kilometers directly below the original Eternal Throne. Its expanse and overall geography are unknown to even most inhabitants due to serious compartments and security measures taken. Its entrance and front are easy to visit and see, as it lies at the lowest levels of the massive city-scraper. But its walls, its halls and corridors are seriously defended and meant to withstand direct assaults, infiltrations and even orbital bombardment. [ Describe logistical information on how easy it is to find/access this location. Is it hidden? Is it isolated from society or is it in the middle of civilization? Is it guarded? Open to the public or private access only? ]
  • Description: The massive gates of the Citadel are on the ground surface of Zakuul, a great promenade with statues and gardens adorning the alley which leads to the Eagle's Gate, the main entrance, a massive portal which is protected by shields and thick layers of steel. Around it are bastions and towers, connecting with the thick steel and concrete of the Spire's foundations. It is not a mere view of blank gun-metal and grey concrete - its breastworks, casemates and battlements are adorned in Auraplast which shows figureheads and heroes of times past. [ Provide a description of this base at a glance. More in-depth descriptions can be added in points of interest. ]
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Alley of Titans - A long alley carved into the rock, growing smaller towards its destination, the Eagle's Gate. Beautifully maintained gardens, statues and fountains are giving the impression of a glorious age and offering a glimpse of luxury to those passing by.
  • The Eagle's Gate - The outermost line of defense, the Eagle's Gate is the Shield Gate entrance to pass through Aegis Aeterna and is directly carved into the rock of Zakuul itself. Located nearly a kilometer below surface level and the Alley of Titans leading towards it, it is the actual entrance to the Citadel behind, even though it is still nearly twenty kilometers from behind the gate to the Griffin's Gate. It is usually quite busy here, both the military presence and civilian one. The former to check on the latter, as many officials and staffers work in the citadel, both retina and DNA scanners being used to make sure the right people enter.
  • The Expanse - From behind the Eagle's Gate, the road which started as Alley of Titans, continues onward towards the actual Citadel, towards the Griffins Gate. It is an empty land of bare rock, grinded to a near flat surface, surrounding the massive structure of the citadel, reaching from the First Wall to the Aegis Aeterna, all around.
  • The Griffin's Gate - The actual fortress entrance is the massive Griffin's Gate, made of the strongest metals and alloys, it is the first line of defense for the actual citadel and heavily fortified and guarded.
  • The First Wall - A misleading name, by any means and reason, the First Wall is the description of the outer defenses of the citadel. A massive ring of bastions, battlements, bunkers, towers, artillery silos and ditches, including own deflectors and anti-air defenses. It is designed to withstand the might of armies and protected by the most stalwart of spirits.
[ What areas within the base are significant? Give a description of each point listed. ]

SECURITY
Security: Maximum
  • Eagle's Gate
    • Fortifications: Bastions, Casemates, Battlements, Ditches
    • Defenses: Deflector Shields, Automated Turrets, Sensors, Scanners
    • Garrison: Skytroopers,
  • The Expanse
    • Motion Sensors
    • Mine Fields
  • and any specific security assets in list format. What defenses does this location have, including internal and perimeter defenses? Please note that the rating is relative to the type of location this is. Military troops and hardware are appropriate for all levels of the security rating for Military Bases. Please link rare or uncommon tech/equipment to the SW wiki article or Factory-approved submission. Common canon items do not need to be linked. ]

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[ Include a description on the base's history here. Detail how it came to be constructed and why. Talk about the people/factions involved in this base's creation; and what role it plays. For historical bases, if you so desire, you can include historical events from the Chaos Canon timeline or board history where appropriate. ]

The name Vandemar is not to just stand for a single planet with a strange ideology, but as a beacon for technological research, enlightenment and order. Vandemarians are not Vandemarian by birth, they are not born into a mindset or forced to acknowlege it - they choose to do so. It is an active decision to put secularism, technocratism and discipline as your premier ideals and live a life void of being pushed about by some rare mutants, by some warmongering cults or stubborn do-goods. In Vandemar everyone forges their own fate.

Ruled by a single individual who is referred to as Hegemon and who forged this society over millennia, Vandemar shines as a strict, loyal and determined beacon against the machinations and terrors of all Force user centered governments, factions and organisations. The Force is a natural phenomenon these few deliberately attempt to use to manipulate and force their ways onto the masses of people. The Hegemon, Aurelian Sigismund Aurelian Sigismund , saw that as he was pushed between these fronts in multiple wars and dedicated his life to bring about a change to this depressing state of the Galaxy.

Working through an extensive militarism in society as well as programs of bio-engineering inspired by the great Project: Exarch he was himself a part of, the Vandemarians are focused, quite successfully so far, to create warriors and soldiers who can go against those few a mystical energy deemed worthy. Through progressive technologies, cybernetical research and bio-engineering, Vandemar is creating a new power on the stage of individual capability to combat those that believe themselves entitled to bring peace, domination or both to the trillions of people in the Galaxy.

Current Narrative: [Aftermath Second Great Hyperspace War]

From the ashes of the Eternal Empire, the scorched earth of the Mawite marauders, the remnants of the First Order and the will to endure rises a new realm, spearheaded by technological magnificence, societal prosperity and militaristic discipline - the Venerable Technocratic Hegemony of Vandemar. From its mobile home on the star fortress, Invictus Antagonistes, the Hegemony looks towards the Unknown Regions to pacify and explore, to restore what the Brotherhood of the Maw had left scorched and broken. It turns its keen eyes on the advancement of technology, of improving what has been dormant for ages. And it watches those that are outlandish, those twisted with mutations of the Force, pressing them into service and barring them from high office and rank.

The Hegemony of Vandemar is an aspiring organisation of technological advancement, militarism and strictest-opposition to Force sensitive leadership and power. Layers of decadence, political intrigue, AI influence and martial prowess await.
