TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Euro Step - While quite average in terms of speed, the Agasaya is an extremely maneuverable machine, even for a craft of its size and weight. Powerful thrusters enable the craft to execute dizzying turns, snap changes of direction and trajectory, and sudden lateral movements which would otherwise turn the pilot inside into goop were it not for the acceleration compensators. Facilitating this is an inherently unstable design, permitting high turning rates, albeit making the craft somewhat difficult to control.
  • Night Goddess - As an experimental craft, the Agasaya has a full suite of stealth systems, allowing it to maintain a small, if not entirely invisible sensor profile during most operating conditions, with the exception of weapon discharges and active afterburners.
  • Fire Concentration - Correcting the disadvantages of twinned weaponry pertaining to concentration of fire at certain ranges, the Agasaya utilizes a computer brain governed fire-concentration system that executes minute on-the-fly adjustments to the angle of the craft’s fixed-forward weaponry, based on constant feedback from pilot input and targeting data. In effect, this system dynamically optimizes pattern harmonization at all viable ranges, affording the weapons greater accuracy and damage potential.
  • Field Disruption - The Agasaya possesses a vehicle-grade field disruption system which allows it to traverse through conventional shields.
WEAKNESSES
  • Mechu-deru - Often an unspoken weakness of complicated and advanced technologies, the Agasaya is vulnerable to the dark sorceries of Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. As such, a skilled practitioner of such arts can quickly disable the airspeeder, provided that they have a direct line of sight to the craft.
  • Burn Wound - The Agasaya’s afterburners can only be sustained for a limited amount of time due to its intense power demands and potential to overheat the engines. At maximum, it can only be active for twenty consecutive seconds before it is automatically shut off, at which point the engines must undergo a mandatory heat discharge protocol. In addition, the craft can not use its weapons, with the notable exception of the projectile launchers, while the afterburners are engaged.
  • EMP/Ion Disruption - As an airspeeder that depends on a suite of complicated electronics to ensure optimal performance, EMP and/or Ion-based attacks can hamper the combat capability of the Agasaya, the severity of which depends on the power quotient and proximity of the discharge to the craft.
  • Bloodthirsty Automation - As with any technology that is supported by a suite of automated processes, the disabling of these systems’ supporting computer brains, whether via EMP discharge, concentrated slicing efforts, or in rare cases, jamming, will negatively affect the operating efficiency of the craft. This is especially true for the Agasaya, which utilizes an aggressive, bloodthirsty Myrmidon AI in its targeting system. Should the safeguards keeping the Myrmidon in check be compromised, the weapons could fire indiscriminately, targeting both friend and foe.
  • Charge Out - The field disruption system disables the Agasaya's shields for the duration of its activation. In addition, the disruption system's power cell last only for four minutes, before being drained.
DESCRIPTION
An experimental platform, the FAE/eAV-01 “Agasaya” Combat Airspeeder is a light combat aircraft optimized for close air support duties and gunship escort. It is a highly agile and stealthy craft, conceived with the eventual goal of producing a light attack aircraft platform for interstellar militaries and a cheaper alternative to starfighters for planetary defense forces. However, the Agasaya is a somewhat unorthodox design, taking after an ancient civilian airspeeder, the Hyperfoil 1000-XTC, in possessing hybrid repulsorlift-turbofan engines. While somewhat complex to maintain, they are intended to give the craft an enhanced degree of reliability and ruggedness, allowing it to operate in environments where repulsorlifts are unsuitable and when repulsorlift jammers are active.

While its primary weapons, a set of twin Hekler’Kok HMG-01s, are fixed, the Agasaya has a highly modular loadout like most First United Astral Engineering designs. The launcher hardpoints can mount Starhammer EPC(s) or Hekler’Kok AGL-01(s), with the ability to mount two of both or one of each. Projectile launchers can be loaded with a variety of gas payloads as well, for defensive, offensive, and utility purposes.

While the Agasaya is an extremely balletic craft, capable of executing dizzying maneuvers while maintaining combat speeds, the design falls short compared to its competitors in defensive robustness. The Agasaya has relatively weak shields and light armor plating, saving both weight and cost, but paying for both in its inability to maintain integrity under fire, to the point where even small arms are effective against it, albeit to an extremely limited degree and given long-sustained assault. Naturally, against vehicle or fighter-grade weapons, it fares much worse. As such, the Agasaya depends on its agility, electronic warfare capabilities, and stealthy systems to defend against attack, to varying degrees of effectiveness.

In spite of its limitations, the experimental variant of the Agasaya is anticipated to perform well in its field trials, precluding any unanticipated factors which might hinder its effectiveness…

Hello! A couple of things:

  • The Druetium modification appears to have a 20 RU rating. From the wookiee article, the example it provides is a TIE Fighter has an RU rating of 9. Within the context of a starfighter/speeder vehicle, the rating of 20 appears to be rather high for an ‘average’ rating. Can you please elaborate regarding the thought process behind this?
  • Regarding the Evasive-226-R Field Disruptor addition, the article for the original variant of the (Evasive-13) states the following: “While at maximum setting it could pass through most military-grade fields, maintaining this setting would drain the power cell in less than four minutes.” - I would ask that this '4 minute drain' be mentioned in the ‘weakness’ section. In my opinion, there shouldn’t be any problem incorporating it in the ‘Charge Out’ weakness, but that’s your prerogative.
