SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Always Silent - The technologies on the FAE/S-02 are “semi-active” in the sense that they demand very little energy and can be active at all times.
  • Clouds of Deceit - The Taozin skin undercoat has the capability to blur or cloud the senses of a Force wielder to varying degrees, potentially hindering the effectiveness of battle precognition, danger sense, and/or similar abilities when focused on host vehicle and its pilot/crew, up to and including rendering their presence in the Force entirely invisible.
  • Perfect Stealth - A suite of multiple stealth technologies, the FAE/S-02 has the potential to keep a host vehicle invisible to sensors, targeting computers, the Force, and scanners at virtually all ranges.
WEAKNESSES
  • Eyes - Since the FAE/S-02 uses no cloaking devices or camouflaging technologies, at visual ranges, the host vehicle can feasibly be detected by the eye, even while it remains invisible to sensors, the Force, targeting computers, and scanners.
  • Damage - Extensive damage to the host vehicle could degrade the integrity of the Nykkalt overcoat and Taozin undercoat, resulting in tiny “gaps” which could feasibly be exploited by especially advanced sensors and scanners to pick out the stealthed craft.
  • Surge - The defense of the gauntlets against Ion/EMP-based assaults is ultimately based on the overall defenses of the armor. If it has meager or low-quality defenses, Ion/EMP-based assaults may easily overload the gauntlets, disabling them for some time, depending on the proximity and power quotient of the discharge.
DESCRIPTION
A suite of fairly non-cloaking-based stealth technologies, the FAE/S-02 Semi-Active Stealth System was put together by First United Astral Engineering as a suite for the company's more advanced designs. Intended as a fairly light weight, undemanding system, the FAE/S-02 forgoes cloaking in favor of technologies which make the host vehicle virtually invisible to sensors, scanners, the Force, and targeting computers. To this end, the suite is designed around a Nykkalt overcoat and a Taozin undercoat, cloaking it from sensors and the Force, respectively. The other systems in the FAE/S-02 are built around this, enhancing these measures to various degrees, by covering gaps which could lead to the craft being discovered by various anti-stealth technologies. Waste heat from engines is hidden by IR suppressors, TibannaX, and thermal dissipation systems. Gravitational signatures are hidden by the gravitic amplitude modulator and physical presence is reduced by a host of other systems. Tying it all together, the sensor masking system modulates these systems to ensure that stealth remains intact under virtually all conditions, making corrections and compensations as necessary.

All in all, the FAE/S-02 Semi-Active Stealth System has high expectations for its performance in the field, giving First United Astral Engineering-designed craft a decisive advantage over their competitors.
