For months since the collapse of the Imperial Confederation, the Wild Space Rebellion has been a consistent thorn in Mahporeem's side.

Between incessant pirate raids, fleet ambushes and sabotage efforts, the Wild Space Rebellion has pushed Mahporeem to the brink of fury, constantly thwarting its efforts to secure control of the Outer Rim. Things have come to a head after the most recent attack on Mahporeem itself, and needless to say, the Imperial Remnant is out for complete and total vengeance, looking for any opportunity available to strike down the Wild Space Rebellion once and for all.

Such an opportunity might have finally presented itself!

Thanks to the efforts of Marlon Sularen and the Final Dawn, a major supply base for the Wild Space Rebellion has finally been identified as being located on Kessel, and the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant has begun to immediately muster an invasion fleet to destroy the pesky rebels once and for all! Will the rebels be able to escape in time or beat back the Mahporeenian attack on their planet, or will the Imperial Remnant finally secure the victory it has been so desperately looking for for these least several months?

[OBJECTIVE I: KESSEL RUN!]
[PvP, PvE]

Having received critical information from Marlon Sularen's Final Dawn, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant has sent a correspondingly large fleet to Kessel to destroy the rebels and their base once and for all. The Imperial Navy seeks to eliminate any rebel assets defending the planet in order to allow their transports to land on Kessel's surface, while the Wild Space Rebellion seeks to deny the Imperials any ability to land their troops onto the surface of the planet. After all, the Imperials are here to stay, and should they successfully get their transports on planet, rebel control of Kessel is all but doomed to fail!

[OBJECTIVE II: YOUR SPICE IS MY SPICE]
[PvP, PvE]

Kessel is well known for its infamous Spice Mines, and ever since the Wild Space Rebellion set up shop on the planet, they have been churning out large amounts of spice to help fund their criminal enterprises. Such spice sales would be much better off supporting an Imperial cause, which is why the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant has assigned priority to capturing these mines and removing the rebels from them. Be advised: the Spice Mines can be quite cramped and claustrophobic, and environmental contamination is almost guaranteed, so be sure to plan accordingly.

Those looking to join the thread as allies of the rebels or Imperials should post their intentions to do so in the LFG before jumping in!

Fleet Comp:
Objective One:
Beartrap
On the far side of the star system, six ships sat in wait.

The imperials were coming. The Rebellion knew that. Their spies had intercepted communication between the Final Dawn and Mahporeem. The location of the rebel base on Kessel.

The rebels had been on the offensive for so long, it was only a matter of time before the empire found one of their bases.

So, Zoro had prepped for it. A defensive ambush.

Gravity Wells set up to intercept them. Silent hunters waiting for their prey. Stealth systems active, waiting for the enemy.

The incoming hyperlanes covered. The jaws of a beartrap wide open, tensioned and waiting to snap shut.
Fleet Actions:
Interdictors waiting for the incoming imperial fleet.

Objective II:
Dust In the Wind
Unit Comp:
Hydra Command Company:
Firestorm" Walker Company
"Helldiver" Marines Company:

Tag: MIR GROUND FORCES, TAG AS NEEDED
Friendly Tag: Ysennia Lee Ysennia Lee
North and South.

Thunderstorm to the north. A wall of metal, dug into trenches. Hidden by heavy sensor deflection nets. They couldn’t hide them too long, but it would mean they would struggle to lock onto them with an initial barrage. In front of them, Helldiver marines sitting, waiting. Waiting for imperial assault.

Firestorm to the south. Heavy walkers hidden by those same trenches and nets. Men who had served these vehicles since the days of the Alliance, waiting for the oncoming storm. Mortar loaders waiting. Gunners scanning.

And dead center were an old friend. The same men Gress had fought with on Woostri. That battle had been a chitshow. This one, he didn't have to worry about sith castles falling from the sky.

Above, a mix of machines. Raven drones, scanning the horizon. Waiting for what came next. Imperial war machines.

And to the east, hidden in the mountains, Gress himself. Sitting in the command chair of his superheavy walker. Two behemoths sitting.

Waiting.

Objective Two:
Dust in the Wind

Deep in the mine, Jonyna sat. Waiting. Channeling.

Above the mine, storm clouds began to gather. Unnatural, but unstoppable.

The cathar sat, swords and sabers laid out in front of her. Crystals lightly glowing.

She knew what came next. The imperials were coming. She knew they were, she sensed it. Ships, war machines, troopers in plastoid armor. None of it could hide what they really were. None could hide from the Force.

She fixated on one. The commander in charge of all this.

Ronhar.

She’d come close to fighting him a few times. For now, she tracked him. Waiting for him.

For now, she needed to summon the storm.

The transport shuttle settled upon Kessel with a shudder of repulsors and a groan of tortured metal, disgorging me into the ashen breath of that accursed world. The moment my boots touched the ground, the wind came crawling across the wastes, carrying with it the bitter scent of dust, machinery, and spice; a perfume born from suffering and made profitable by those sufficiently ruthless to harvest it.

Behind me came a small contingency of the Drakonis Order, their midnight-colored underlaying and their fear inducing white armor moving with the solemnity of executioners emerging like living nightmares born from a frightened child's mind. I raised my eyes toward the horizon, allowing the Force to whisper through the desolate landscape, and there they were; the spice mines, crouched within the distant gloom like diseased organs buried beneath Kessel's flesh.

My lips curled into a slow smile.

So much wealth.

So much opportunity.

The galaxy had always been generous to those willing to reach into its wounds and take what bled from them.

I began walking toward the mines, my cloak dragging through the dust like the funeral banner of some forgotten empire. The rebels believed the mines belonged to them; such beliefs were adorable in their simplicity. I saw no reason why their spice should remain in their grasp; when it could be split between the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant and the hands of the Noctis Convergence; the secretive machinery of my own criminal enterprise.

Spice would become credits, credits would become influence, and influence would become another chain wrapped quietly around the throat of the galaxy.

Then, upon the horizon, the first flames blossomed; small at first, then violently multiplying as explosions tore through the region near the mining complex by strafing bombers of the Mahporeem Imperial Navy; attempting to the break the spirits of the rebels before their judgements were coiled like venomous serpents; and politely laid at their feet.

Black smoke climbed into the heavens like offerings to some ancient and hungry goddess who cared little for their own creations, or homages, or their meaningless offerings. I stopped only long enough to admire the spectacle before continuing onward, my smile widening. The first stage of the battle had already begun without me.

How considerate of them.

It mattered not, the Lady of Twisted Evolution had arrived upon Kessel, and soon enough, the rebels would learn that their rebellion was merely another form of property waiting to be acquired by the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant.

The time for battle was near, Aperion could sense it. The Bacta Brigade was tense -it would be their first big conflict with the Resistance. The mine was not silent -not in the slightest-, but for a moment, all the energy, voices and others gave path to this deafening muteness, typical of a calm before the storm.

Shield and Eater were in the main guard, just behind the vanguard, to rescue the hurt and disable enemy technology in time. The rest, Aperion included, were on the rear: they shouldn't forget their Brigade's main objective of preserving allied forces and offering moral support.

"My leaves're agitated", Chef said, sitting on the sandy, rock-hard ground and meditating.

"What the bloody hell does that mean, Chef?", Alien asked, irritation visible in his voice. He's certainly the less prepared of the Bacta Brigade. Still, his partner Doc was over his shoulder, quietly waiting -not for the enemy to come, no, but for the injured. Slowly by surely, Chef's battle meditation morale boost would be felt by the Bacta Brigade and other rebels near.

Silence, again. Aperion felt the need to motivate his men. On the Bacta Brigade's separate communication's channel, he shouted for all -including the rebels around him- to listen:

"Comrades, the Empire is arriving! Just for today, Comrades, this mine is our Rebellion's one and only sacred ground - no imperial soldier shall enter it. And if they do, make sure they do not come out of it!

The more we kill, the more they will think before attacking our people, of destroying whole cities and planets for their own pleasure. The more we show them what we are capable of, the more they will cower in fear of our might! We will wage a bloody battle to the end for our people and our galaxy, shed our last drop of blood, hold onto our blasters to the death! A rebel soldier prefers to die than to surrender. Comrades, to hand over one's blaster is suicide, to surrender is the supreme shame.

No bomb, no blaster, no Empire, no one in the galaxy can destroy the Resistance! Let us show them what we are made of! LONG LIVE THE RESISTANCE! DEATH TO THE EMPIRE!"

"Hoorah!", Aperion hears. It wasn't the best speech, but at least his men liked it.

The Polydroxol's lightsaber is expelled out of his left hand, like a magic trick. He holds it with strength and courage. It was time.
