SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Sight Beyond Sight: Standard issue with a Si Tech Scope, the bog standard scope is capable of pinpointing a target nearly 3 miles out, including the freckles on his face if need be, and has built in thermal and night vision.
  • Accuracy Interplanetary: The built in targeting computer allows the Spot to calculate anything a marksman may need. Wind speed, the Coriolis effect, the curvature of the planet, differing gravity, you name it. This makes the rifle almost incapable of missing it's target in normal conditions.
  • Steady!: Installed as a measure to combat recoil, and weapon sway, the Spot comes with a magnetic bipod, installed with claws to dig into whatever terrain the user may find themselves in if it isn't metal. It also comes with a muzzle break, which does vent some of the excess gas from the gun to reduce recoil.
STRENGTHS
  • BFG: The Spot, by all conventional understanding, is a modified starfighter cannon. Firing similar rounds to it's older brother The Claw, The Spot fires off particle cannon blasts similar in output to an X-wing, but in a much smaller package. Anything this monstrosity's bolts can't pierce, will cause the bolt to detonate, and splash a massive amount of plasma all over you. Also, it hits like a truck. Good luck with that.
  • Ease of Repair: Much like all Si Tech weaponry, Rara made it so that the Spot used only standard issue parts. Anyone at the supply depot can hand you a replacement part from the bag, and you'll probably be able to fit it into your receiver no problem.
  • Relatively Light: The Spot is a heavy bastard, but it's not as heavy as one would expect. Capable of being split into two pieces if need be, the Spot functions as a weapons platform designed for both snipers, and designated marksmen.
  • From Hell, With Love: The Spot is capable of hitting targets not only from miles away, but also capable of shooting incredibly far upward. If you wanna take a potshot at that star destroyer's command bridge in low orbit, it's theoretically possible!
WEAKNESSES
  • Makes a neat club, I guess: If your opponent manages to close the distance, you're probably better off using a different weapon at that point. The Spot is not designed to maneuver around close quarters, and is not capable of firing at the rate at which would make it effective at close range.
  • EMP!: The Spot itself, while lined with reinforced duraplast, it susceptible to more high powered ion and EMP attacks.
DESCRIPTION
Designed to fill a gap in GADF capability, the Spot was designed as a way for GADF soldiers to keep their distance, will still hitting incredibly hard. Designed over a weekend, Rara built a weapon that would pack the punch of a starship cannon, without sacrificing weight or recoil. The result? A bolt action blaster cannon. Rather than the traditional gas canister, the Spot comes with custom canisters that each have 'rounds' in them, which in reality are simply individual blaster bolts, pre-ionized, and contained within a 'shell'. When the rifle is loaded with the bolt, it releases the blaster bolt all at once, unleashing the fury of the Spot in a violent display. The Spot then ejects the casing, allowing the massively hot shell to fall away.
