requisitioned an upgraded variant which can serve to not only conceal troop advancements but also protect them from incoming blaster fire, the aerosols released serving to dampen and severely weaken the blaster bolts and particle beams headed through the smoke until they're weakened to a faint 'smack' on contact past the smoke, making it all but negligible to any armored trooper.
