- Gunship: Designed off the LAATs of old, the Ziio is designed with a wide range of firepower, designed to shock an opponent with heavy firepower, clear an LZ, land, and get it's two squads worth of GADF soldiers into the battle.
- Built Si Tough: Designed with the intention of going head first into a combat zone, the Ziio is designed to shrug off anything short of heavy anti-air. Between the heavy shielding and the several layers of armor, The Ziio is a tough bird to knock out of the sky.
- Big Bird, Coming In: The Ziio is capable of deploying a massive bubble shield around itself, reaching seven meters outside of it's own canopy. This allows to to protect not only itself, but whatever it's carrying, allowing for safer loading and unloading in a hot LZ.
- Stuck in Place: The heavy bubble shield, while powerful, locks the Ziio in place. While it can do this still hovering, the Ziio is incapable of moving outside of the bubble's zone while the shield is still active.
- Turns like a Whale: The Ziio isn't designed for dogfights. A gunship to the end, the Ziio is designed to strafe ground targets, not duel a tie-fighter.
- Not a Space Ship: While the Ziio is designed to be space worthy, it's not designed for space travel. Capable of short flights, the Ziio isn't designed as a long haul transport. It is reliant on larger ships to transport goods between systems. She's just there to get it to the ground.
The Ziio, designed off the LAATs of old, was designed as a smaller alternative to the Roc, a mobile gunship that allows GADF squads to maneuver around and provide heavy ground support without requiring CAS or heavy armor support. Si Tech's heavy industry allows the mass production of heavy gunships that will allow the GADF heavy, local support.
