The Genesis Ranging Company of the 1st Reconnaissance Batt. is an airborne rapid deployment force filled with old stock and fine shots, christened under back to back deployments that have solidified the internal structures of the fighting force. It’s members were pieced together from the finest shots under Col. Voi’Kryt’s command over the last decade. It’s success hinged upon the 12th Armored Assault Army, their main role serves as a support unit to the heavy infantry. The Genesis Rangers work as operatives, the calm before the storm and their insignia is an eye on a dark field. Like most of ‘Engima’ they spot the raindrop camouflage, coming off the field they may be sporting whatever local flora they assembled for cover; well known for using the terrain to their advantage. They are employed in forward observation, frontline harassment, pathfinding in large campaign settings. They can also operate in covert operations, drop deployments behind enemy lines, and sabotage in smaller scale deployment. Their unit is highly mobile and their success hinges on speed and communication. Trained in marksmanship and close quarters, they try to keep their work quiet and fast; leaving total desolation to their heavier counterparts.

COMBAT INFORMATION

  • Combat Function: The Rangers' primary mission is to provide firefight support and scouting. Secondary objectives involve independent, small scale and close range engagements with equal or smaller forces. They can be deployed in direct action, operations, raids, and recovery tasks.

Strengths:
The Marksman: Genesis has a strict training regulation to ensure it’s riflemen are bringing a deadly and accurate shot to the field. When they want to hit you, they will, or will leg you for insult. They ensure quick mop ups in firefight objectives, have quick draws, or can provide long range target take down. Soldiers under its command excel in the blaster but most of all long range rifle models.
Apex Predator: Genesis is indoctrinated under the ideology of hunt or be hunted, employing stealth tactics when in the field alone. Proficient in most harsh terrains and adaptable. Their work demands fast reflexes and they train rigorously in tracking and maintaining mobility, maneuvering around the enemy unseen.

Weaknesses:
Thin-Skin:
Genesis falters under heavy fire and pin situations without supporting armor, wilting under heavy greater forces and artillery bombardment. They may be resourceful and can disappear but they can not meet a great force head on alone in terms of power, they simply do not deploy with the numbers too.
Remote Deployments: They are the forerunners for the storm coming, separated leagues from the main army depending or deployed behind enemy lines. They are responsible for themselves if they hit any obstacle be it communications or need to retreat. They have to meet specific rendezvous points and plan meticulously be it worse case scenarios or to simply meet supply points as they move primarily by foot.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The bare bones formed on Folende near a decade ago, the then fresh faced Lieutenant Voi’Kryt headed a reconnaissance mission that ended in operational failure. With Major-General, formerly just Major Tavlar focused on armored deployment. She promoted training marksman, and the use of night tactics and forward observation with the support of Tavalar. The goal was to offset the heavy losses sustained regularly by the hard assault tactics.

The operational failure outlined the weaknesses and requirements for a successful operative team under limited resources. This became her brain child and hope for the future of Enigma. With her advanced skills in marksmanship, she was the core trainer in the first days of the support unit now turned Company. Deployed over the years to secure and outline the approach for Major-General, they have yet to be tested in full. The moniker ‘Bescany Rangers’ was popularized during theses years by the Company, stemming from the majority of the original recruits, including Col. Voi’Kryt, that hailed from Bescane.

In recent events, the Genesis Rangers shadowed the 12th waiting for the true test under fire. Deployed to Cathar and then placed on standby under Major-General's command during Kintan, having seen no notable action during the siege; serving as the rear guard along the armament during the bloody battle. Following the invasion, they were sent on back to back deployments across the Empire. Acting as recon amidst a mining colony rebellion and sabotage. Following the brief deployment, they were redirected to the subjugation of Tammar. Under the command of the former Co. Voi’Kryt they escorted the 12th Army’s Engineers planet side, running the blockade, and securing the landing zone. It was here they lost some numbers of one of their Rifle Squads. In the military dissension they followed their commander into the unknown and regrouped under the banner of the NIO, turning their guns toward a new goal and domination.

Lyra 'Sybila' Voikryt Lyra 'Sybila' Voikryt Hey there, I will be reviewing this submission :) It's a great write up you've got here, but the detailed equipment needs work on in terms of permissions for all the things you've used. I separated it into three categories:

1.
Autokrator Assault Blaster Rifle
This submission is factory denied. Submissions can't include links to denied, archived, or threads inside factions. Please remove this from the list, or replace it with something else.

2.
This is closed-market, so I need permissions from Gat Tambor that you can use this. I am aware that the writer released a blanket permission on Discord a few days ago, this needs to just be pasted in the permissions.

3.
These are all closed market and/or affiliated with factions that aren't NIO. Need permissions to use them.

Other than that, in Combat Information, Unit Size, I highly recommend you remove the hard numbers. Codex does not operate on hard numbers. Size is a relative field, not an indicator of who would win in a head to head confrontation. Additionally, I would note that the font text used for some of the parts here is a dark blue, and the board's background is also a dark blue, making it hard to read. Please change this to a slightly lighter font color.

I know that this can seem daunting and I am very sorry for that, but try to go over the equiment list, see where permissions can be easily added, where you can ask for them, and see if some things are better to remove. Tag me back whenever you're ready or if you need help with any of this.

Thank you very much! I know how nit picky this can sometimes feel, especially when wanting to add along equipment list in. Most of the permissions cover everything, just a few last things to iron out:

This links to a thread inside a faction. People who are not part of the faction, cannot see it. I need to ask you to remove this from the permissions.
This refers to purchases made, not items made.
The second X there is for something called NGO?

The following items on the equipment list still require attention, because they're all closed market, not affiliated with NIO, and aren't in the permissions:
Please tag me back once this is done or if you need any help with this!

Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter Alright round two! Removed the factions link, and had two separate permissions screen shots added to Technoid to cover my bases for the four items listed at the bottom of your review. As for the Jaeger's second screen shot, originally the NIO abbreviation was NGO, if the first link works I have removed the NGO one if it's for the best.
