Dominion Specters of a Shrouded Past (Silver Jedi Concord dominion of Danuta)

mars-planet-space-cosmos-sphere-wallpaper-preview.jpg

Bando Gora...a name that has recently struck terror at Cato Neimoidia...yet the cult there was revealed to not be what it seemed at a glance. Now rumors have reached SIN (Silver Intelligence Network) that the Bando Gora, the real Bando Gora, have quietly taken over Danuta in the wake of the Bryn'adul collapse. The rumors suggest that the group is doing something within the old research center, though what exactly that is remains to be seen. With such a threat on the Concord's power and the outrage from the Councilors about the "Banda Gora" threat found on Cato Nemoidia, the Silver Jedi Order and their allies move to retake the planet once more from the Concord's enemies and resettle the refugees who escaped from the planet during the Bryn'adul's horrifying onslaught.

Rumors picked up by SIN suggest that the old research center is being used by this branch of the Bando Gora for some sort of live experimentation on organics with chemicals. Given the cults previous known use of neurotoxins and mind-altering drugs in the past – this is quite possible. Several Jedi and SIN operatives have been dispatched to infiltrate the facility during the chaos caused by attacks by conventional Concord forces on the city and in space. Their goal is to secure all research made by the cult (especially any antidotes or cures if possible) and rescue any possible victims.

Now under open attack, most of the Bando Gora followers on Danuta have converged to hole up in the old Bo'Marr Monastery in the center of Trid, the world's dusty capital, while they await for their escape craft to arrive. Seeking to delay the Jedi and their allies's assault, the cultist have turned the once sacred monastery into a fortress through impromptu barricades, booby traps, and emplaced repeating blaster cannons. Worse yet for the Concord, the Bando Gora have released a motley collection of old Sith battle droids and cybernetically altered neks that are indiscriminately attacking anyone in the city in order to stall the Concord's advance and buy time for their evacuation. The Concord must balance saving the sparse, civilian population of the city with the decisive capture and defeat of the cult itself.

Objective Three – A Flash in the Sky

Salleying forth from their dusty base on nearby Klatooine, a task force of Silver Jedi Concord vessels have moved to secure the local space around Danuta to support ground operations against the cult and to try and prevent any members of the cult from escaping by ship. However, the cult has hired the pirate Lofdrrl Lofdrrl to weaken the Silver Jedi fleet in order to effect a breakout. Yet comms traffic analysis from the old monastery and the pirate fleet suggests that the cult might have another card to play.

Rann walked the down the ramp of one of the HA-2 Pikes that was carrying a small contingent of mandalorian warriors and almost instantly regretted it. A cloud of brown dust rose up, blotting out from view the blocky, old pre-fabricated buildings of Tig. While hermetically sealed in his battle armor, Rann could practically taste the dirt and sand that the wind was kicking up. He'd been on at least a dozen backwater worlds like Danuta - hardscrabble worlds with a few, hardworking people managed to eek out an existence that barely seemed worthwhile in his mind. Yet this had been the first such world he'd came to that had a problem with darksiders. His visor's HUD flickered on, adding an overlay brimming with information about his surroundings, but not even that had changed his base opinion of the place.

What the feth do the Bando Gora want with a watering hole like this?

Prixa sauntered over to stand next to him, "We've got some isolated comm reports about some old battle droids trying to gun people down in the streets and packs of drugged up nek dogs running around wild."

"A wonderful welcoming party."

"Do we go to meet them?"

The mandalorian briefly thought about for half a second, "Neither of those things seems especially dangerous in a one-on-one situation...but it ain't right."

"You're worried about getting swarmed by them?"

"They weren't expected," said the Deshra warrior, "and that means there's probably another surprise....let's wait for Mig Gred Mig Gred before we do something we might regret. This would be a stupid place to die..."

Objective Two – Dread in the City

The large man found himself swaying on the ship's upper deck as strong winds buffeted the craft from side to side. Around him, a handful of Jedi and even more members of the Concord Guard, notably some dozens of Taris Shock Troopers readied their nerves for battle. It had become an altogether too familiar scene in the recent years as the Concord had been rocked by war. At first, he had felt like one of the jedi knights of old, riding down on a LAAT with steadfast clonetroopers to do battle on new and exotic worlds. But experience changed that - that worlds had all started to merge together, as had many of the soldiers he had ridden into battle with. Some had died after he had scarcely met them.

It was a bitter taste that he could do without, but now the peoples of the galaxy needed to drink a draught of it yet again. Peace seemed far away, like a dream to be met only in the later years of life, when he might not even be able to truly enjoy it to the fullest of his abilities. But what I do is necessary, and prevents other people from having to go through it...or worse. He had been on Cato Neimoidia when an alleged Bando Gora cult had attempted to take hostages and blow up one of the world's bridge cities. Ravenna couldn't be sure if this splinter group of the cult would be the same, but he had a gut feeling that while they hadn't walked into the elaborate deception that had on Cato Neimoidia, that there was something still unknown that the dark side was hiding.

He turned to Brae Kenobi Brae Kenobi and managed a faint smile, "We're due to work with some soldiers from Taris on this one. Never a world I've been to, but it just goes to show, the Concord takes all kinds, and it needs all kinds to survive in a galaxy that has descended so far down into conflict. I know that you have some...feelings on this issue. Do you feel ready for what you might come to face once we make groundfall?"

Objective two, The City In Dread

Avery looked through the macrobinoculars, examining the city from a distance. They had landed only a short while ago, maintaining a distance from the capital. Now was the time for planning, for the key to any victory is a map. He lowered the Binocs from his face, then turned back towards the many transport ships. It was risky, landing them so far away, but in his eyes it was necessary.

Walking from the cliff where he'd standing, Avery made his way down to the transports. Each unit of soldiers was assigned to an individual ship. He had to admit it, he felt pride when he saw them. The Shock Troopers were plentiful, each group having their leading officer, there were also a few groups of Far Troopers. This was going to be something indeed. As he went further down, he noticed a gathering of officers, upon seeing him arrive, they made their way to him.

"Commander." One said, hands behind his back.

Avery looked them over, one by one. He knew each of their names, and he knew that some of them wouldn't survive this day. "Follow me." He said.

They made their way back up the cliff, Then Regailis began his instruction. "Officer Vel, you will lead your squad of far troopers there." he pointed to a higher cliff, overlooking the entrance to the city. It was closer too, much closer. "Take the transport ship as far as you deem safe, perch there. On my signal, fire at those blaster cannons, the ones over the main entrance. We'll provide a distraction at the gate, when it's all over, move up... there!" He pointed towards the gate.

"As you wish, sir." Officer Vel turned and left, proceeding with his mission.

"Now, Officer Barl," he said, getting the man's attention, "You and your team will look for the others planet-side, I've heard talk of Mandalorians and Jedi so... you know what to do. One more thing, a Jedi, Travot Ravenna Travot Ravenna , has a command of some Shock Troopers. You might want to find him first, give him some pointers."

The officer nodded. "Yes, sir."

"As for the rest of you, you're with me. Gather your men, we attack the main entrance. Remember, as we practiced, Far Troopers in the back, Shock in the front."

With that, they got to business.

"We're due to work with some soldiers from Taris on this one. I know that you have some...feelings on this issue. Do you feel ready for what you might come to face once we make groundfall?"

Do you feel ready? The correct answer, and probably the expected answer was a resounding and immediate 'yes', but Braedyn had his reservations about such a militant opening to any Jedi-led operation. Master Ravenna knew as much, and had phrased things delicately, however Braedyn assumed the Jedi Master understood more deeply than he himself did. He had to trust that the Masters knew what they were doing, closer to the Light Side as they were.

"I will be ready, Master." Braedyn answered honestly. He focused to clear his mind of doubts, and to put his trust in his fellow Jedi and the Light Side of the Force. Calm reserve came over him, and he was able to relax visibly. The weight of his saberstaff on his belt was comforting, there if he needed it, but would not be his own first action to violence. For Brae, his lightsaber was to be used as a measured response, only when other options had been exhausted.

Master Ravenna's words were true, and Brae had to smile and nod in acknowledgement. It was a dangerous galaxy that they lived in, and while one might wish otherwise, soldiers and military forces were a necessary use of force to protect the helpless. One with the Force, and with the Force there with him, Jedi Knight Braedyn Kenobi felt prepared to face down the Dark Side, and to deny it.

Mig took a breath as his Pike landed near Rann Deshra Rann Deshra 's location, along with a couple of Netherhounds and a lone Wraith Division tank being dropped shortly after. Mig wasn't quite sure how Rann and Prixa would react to the odd mix of Mandalorians and spacers, but he had honestly stopped caring what anyone else thought of the unit long ago. He looked at the group, quickly stopping.

"You all know you've handled worse than this. There still civilians in there though so watch your fire and get people out, got it?"

"Understood, Alor."

"Got it, Boss."

"Yes sir." A few more acknowledgements later and they were off. While the MILs and armor began to move out, quickly communicating with Jedi and SIN forces to know were they were most needed, Mig approached Rann, nodding at him.

"You seem more focused today. Good thing too. Today's going to be a difficult one. Have any news yet I wouldn't have heard coming in?"

Vaux looked from her cockpit as the Pikes left for landing. This would be an interesting fight for sure. The Concordia was formed up with Silver forces in the space around the planet, and her squadron had been moved aboard temporarily to support the effort to clean up this system. She could definitely see why the Concordia was brought. Her class was much better at this kind of operation then it's more attack minded sister ships, but it was also a nice break from the simple life for the pilot. As much as she loved Taanab, she just wasn't designed to slowdown, and settle. Not like Mig, or even the little extent of Taozi Fuyuan Taozi Fuyuan . She was hoping for some action, and this was her ticket. Even with space being quiet so far.

"Cordy? Anything on your scanners?"

"Nothing yet," the A.I. of the larger warship responded simply. "And I hope it stays that way."

"I will be ready, Master."

Travot carefully gazed upon Brae Kenobi Brae Kenobi and slowly nodded. He's dealing with it the best that we can - and that's all that any of us can do. The galaxy likes to portray as godlike heroes or heartless villians...but not with a lot of depth or an understanding the conflict within...there was a reason why the jedi were peacekeepers first in the times of the Old Republic, and not soldiers...He shook his head, as if it would shake all the thoughts away. I too need to be focused. He briefly closed his eyes and counted down from ten, an old and simple trick that his first master had taught him to help regain focus. His eyes fluttered open just before he felt a shudder reverberate through the whole craft as it made groundfall. Weapons and personal armor clanked as the Taris Shock Troopers below readied themselves for battle - the ramps fell down, and a storm of steel gray soldiers poured out.

He could feel the soldier's nervous energy and the emotions well up within them as they readied themselves for battle. Surprisingly, fear did not seem to be chief among them. Morale is high...and they probably have not seen many battles. Travot let out an audible sigh and started down the steps and into the lower bay. Some of the Taris Shock Troopers had fanned out immediately from the craft, blocking some immediate visibility to the outside, yet the man sensed no immediate danger, yet the grim visage of a Taris officer wearing ornate armor ran up to him. He had fought alongside many warriors within the galaxy, indeed the Concord itself had beautiful Hapan security officers and wookiee warriors among its ranks, but the men from Taris somehow seemed a different type of exotic. The man looked the jedi over, spotting his knight plate armor which easily stood out from the gray coats and steel helms of most of the people around him.

"Sir, are you Master Ravenna?"

"I am."

"Our commander, A AvRe , sent me to help...assist you in leading the men."

Travot blinked. In many ways, that was unexpected - he had been forced to lead Concord forces into battle on several occasions against the Bryn'adul Empire. Yet there was some wisdom in this - he had never fought alongside the men from Taris before, and even if they were supposedly and mostly baseline humanoids as he had been led to believe, there could be many cultural issues with them that he might not understand.

"I appreciate your assistance in this matter. What is the current situation?"

"Some of the mandalorians have landed east of us, but our forces from Taris have surrounded much of the city, and our commander is directing much of the efforts. He has started to soften up the old monastery in preparation for our assault."

Well, at least I won't have to worry about the larger picture...

"And our path to the monastery?"

"Mostly clear. Trid was designed in a fairly orderly grid-like fashion, not a lot of immediate obstacles, though the Bando Gora have flipped over some vehicles to make some barricades to try and reroute us..."

"Traps."

The officer nodded, "Certainly a possibility."

Travot turned to Brae. "What do you think? Think we should fight our way straight through the obstacles, or try to navigate around them? Or is something else on your mind?"

It was true that Rann had never seen a unit quite like the Netherhounds - a motley array of species wearing bits and pieces of different armor - including what looked to him to be bits of stormtrooper armor. Weapons were similarly mismatched, and he could only imagine the logistical difficulty of keeping everyone well supplied and repaired. Maybe they're like those ugly fighters you sometimes see...not pretty too look at, but they work, and sometimes they even have a few surprises up their sleeves...He eyed one particular quarren wielding a blaster spear walk by out of the sheer spectacle of it all. Yet among this menagerie of warriors came a familiar figure: Mig Gred Mig Gred .

The two seemed to briefly size each other up.

"You seem more focused today. Good thing too. Today's going to be a difficult one. Have any news yet I wouldn't have heard coming in?"

Rann eyed the other mandalorian warily, "Nothing you probably don't already know - they've got neks and some ancient droids starting to walk around and cause chaos everywhere - at least that's what one of those Taris snipers over there told me. A couple jedi over there looking to storm that citadel over there. What's our angle in all of this? I see you brought a tank - I'm going to have get me one of those myself some time..."

"The Concord is setting up a blockade of the system."

The wookiee eyed his latest first mate, a manumitted protocol droid, with interest. Unlike his last first mate, the wookiee doubted that the droid would betray him...at least not one on one. Even if the droid had managed to somehow get some combat modifications, the wookiee guessed that the droid's chassis would not be able to withstand even a few blows from his clawed hands. Yet T4-U2 had proven to be an able administrator for logistics and personnel management - abilities which he lacked. If I can only keep him...and keep him loyal. The wookiee looked around the bridge, taking note that most of the crewmembers were pretending to be busy even as they observed their ostensible boss. The wookiee turned his attention back to the droid and let out a few sputtering phrases in Shyrii'wook. The mismatched protocol droid cocked his head to the side, as if to feign an organic intently listening.

"No captain, I do not think that any of us would question your choice in this matter. You are the most experienced of all of us in these matters...yet I think that Garth would not want to risk his latest ship without some proper motivation. I mean to say, some proper motivation might improve the quality of his performance and quickness with which he takes to his appointed tasks..."

Lofdrrl let out a loud string of sounds which while most of the bridge crewmembers could not understand verbally, they understood by tone alone: their captain was not happy. The droid seemed to freeze for a moment.

"Very well, I will relay the orders to him - though I will take some liberties in translation - I do not think he would understand the nature of the threat you are making towards him..."

Minutes later, a Starhammer-series Corvette escorted by two dozen Eta Angels zipped out of hyperspace near Vaux Gred Vaux Gred , fired upon the nearby Concord vessels, and then immediately attempted to flee by sublight engines away from Danuta - a classic hit and fade attack.

Mig looked around at the different situations, thinking carefully. It didn't take him long to think of something though.

"I doubt the jetii will need much more than a few of us to help them." Mig mixed a little Mando'a in with his Basic as he looked at the tank, a T-1. "Plus if they're attacking a citadel, I have a feeling the Wraiths that crew her will be a lot more useful there." The Alor then watched as the tanks commander, what looked like an old Magnaguard, poked it's head out of the turret hatch. Mig would quickly lift his hand up, point to the air, then twirl his finger around before pointing towards the Jedi. A quick signal to follow them. Mig then looked at Rann and Prixa, pulling out his Trayc'kad, a weapon they might have remembered.

"Let's get moving. Can't be much more difficult then those freighters right?"

Reef Home Ready Group - Entering Danuta System

With a flash of light, the small force reverted to real space over the world of Danuta. As one, the ships of the 32nd ready group moved into formation adding to the already present blockade force above the world.

"Admiral, we are moving into position, we have a small OPFOR in the system engaging Concord forces,"

Said the officer standing across the command table from Reshmar. The Calamari commander nodded then swiped his hand across an activation sensor to bring up a hologram of the system. The image of the world came to life above the table with key points and landmarks noted on the image. Slowly friend and enemy contacts were identified and labeled on the image. each a small icon with a name and risk assessment floating above them.

"I see the Mandalorians are here already." said an officer to Reshmars right. Reshmar looked at the icon which represented the Concord-class vessel. Reshmar nodded to the man then spoke.

Launch a Cap CAG, have them form a picket force on our flanks. We are here in a support roll, for now,"

Ordered Reshmar. He looked at the icon indicating a small corvette class vessel and a fighter group moving in to engage the forces.

"Where are you?"

Said Reshmar under his breath. He knew there had to be more. His intel had told him there would be. He looked around the system image seeing nothing, Yet.

"Let the main fleet handle the blockade. We will push back if needed but for now, the Mandalorians can handle that Corvette. "

Reshmar again scanned the system looking for something, anything out of place. He was early it seemed. He would wait, wait for the creature he had been hunting. A man, or beast rather, his spies and intel section had been tracking for weeks. A pirate like no other he had encountered before.

Rann nodded at Mig Gred Mig Gred , taking careful note of the energy sword the other man wielded and recalled its use back on Bimmisaari. If only I were a jetii...That operation had shown him some of his limitations. While he was a reasonably good fighter, he clearly did not have the skills or equipment to be among the best...at least not yet. Still, he managed to do some bartering with his cousin to start building up more of arsenal - a Thunderer Magnum Revolver. It was still stock, but he had a half dozen modification ideas in his head already, starting with custom grips. He started to daydream about carving the bone handles for it when a pair of sharp clicking sounds from his helmet's speakers pulled him out of that fantasy.

"You know, his crew looks more kad'la than that laser sword he carries," started Prixa.

"What?"

"What? I'm just saying...he's obviously doing something right to have that many people following him and his clan. We've got pretenders to our own people, and there's no way to distinguish us from them. Maybe we ought to come up with something to show who we are."

Ugh. The alleged alor grunted. In truth, Clan Deshra, at least his Clan Deshra, was a shadow of what it once had been. As much as he could see the potential for his clan, it remained out of his reach. I'm grasping for straws following this other man, this Concord...but it's the best card the galaxy has given me so far...He sighed and pulled out his newly acquired revolver from its holster. I'll draw my first blood here with this...

"We'll find a way, and it'll be our way. Maybe we just need to find it. Who knows, maybe we can find our glory here...think they'd respect me more if I killed a real darjetii? There's got to be one holed up in the monastery there..."

"A sith? You're crazy. Let's try to not get killed here first by a stupid nek dog..."

With Danuta now almost entirely cleansed of the Bryn'adûl scourge, the world was slowly returning to normal in the wake of the Eternal Empire’s quantum bombardment of the Super-Construct. Unfortunately, for the Scar Worlds, “normal” meant a massive power vacuum with pirates and criminal factions filling in the void. The presence of the Bando Gora on Danuta represented a microcosm of the Scar Worlds, a chronic infestation of criminal parasites preying on the desperate as they attempted build a semblance of stability after a galactic-scale genocide.

Perhaps arrogantly, Calligenia viewed herself and by extension, House Io, as a savior for these desperate worlds. In traveling to Danuta, she hoped to further that mission, so that she could better heal the Scar Worlds from the trauma of the Bryn'adûl.

Ultimately, it was what she was programmed to do.

Landing in a cloud of smoke and hot gas, the Kom’rk-class transport touched down inside the courtyard of the Research Complex. Before long, a small contingent of Nuetralizers and Sirens disembarked, sweeping the area as Calligenia Io stepped down from the ramp, the very last to disembark before the pilot took off. Wasting no time, the small group of soldiers moved into the complex amid hushed whispers and silent commands.

Inside, the Bando Gora’s rogue research awaited them and provided things went according to plan, House Io would be the first to claim it.

"They have not engaged the bait you have laid out for them," announced the protocol droid, "The Torch is making a clean getaway. Garth will be pleased."

And bragging about how he survived the encounter...a possible problem if he gets too cocky later on. Though I could say it was a test that he passed. But thinking of controlling this pack will have to wait.
Lofdrrl grumbled, letting out a few low rumbling sounds that even the protocol droid would have difficulty deciphering. Disciplined prey was difficult. If you could dangle the right motivation, you could control your opponent and lead him into a battle of your choosing. Clearly, an easy victory was not what the Concord commander was interested in.

"Oh, Garth reports that our hunters have joined the group."

They tracked us here....how? He balled his furry hand into a fist and smashed it against his chair's armrest. It made a loud, unsatisfying smacking sound that was much softer than he felt it should have been. He'd much rather it be a fleshy piece of meat attached to a set of vocal cords, such as ADM. Reshmar ADM. Reshmar himself or even Vaux Gred Vaux Gred . That was a satisfying thought, though not likely one yet. Still, it was almost tempting to go after his nemesis and be rid of him once and for all rather than get (potentially) paid out by the Bando Gora. But I have a reputation to earn and keep...and that's important in this business. The protocol droid cleared his throat.

"Garth says that the hunters are starting to scan the area again."

It is only a matter of time before they look farther out and find us here. The wookiee grumbled before letting out a few, short but loud commands that sent the crew reeling into action. None of them knew the direct translation of Shyrii'wook exactly, but everyone had learnt to meant that it was the equivalent of battle quarters in most navies. Strikecraft jetted out of hangars even as gunners rushed to their weapons and warriors to their fighting stations.

Battle would soon be joined.

The Master's question was seemingly innocent, and he could well have simply been seeking a second opinion, but Braedyn assumed it was a test of his own ability to think on his feet and deal with an unknown situation, one that could become dire if events transpired in an unfortunate way. He reached out to try and get a sense from the Force as to its will. Brae thought he sensed some urgency, but still had to consider the possibility it was his own feelings to be out there getting things done.

"I think we should be direct, Master. Lives will be in danger the longer it takes for us to end this situation."

He'd listened carefully to the soldier's report, and had considered that barricades, especially improvised ones, would be of little obstacle to trained Jedi, let alone a Jedi Master. Braedyn knew he could handle them himself, so assumed they would be less than a minor inconvenience if that to Master Ravenna. And soldiers fought better when they were led from the front, which was what was expected of Jedi. Braedyn and the Force were in accord on this, so he felt. The Jedi would be able to deal with the Bando Gora better than the soldiers.

You could hear the mechanical whirling of the blaster cannons, as they focused their barrels on the slightly entrenched area, only a few yards away from the large entrance.

Avery sank into it even further, there he was, with his small company and a single officer. The attack force had spread out sufficiently, needing to cover all sides. Still, they had enough troopers to be useful, the larger force staying a few more yards behind.

"Sir," began the officer, "we have contact from Officer Vel, he and the snipers are ready. We also have received word that Officer Barl has arrived at Master Ravenna position and is working in conjunction with the Jedi."

Avery nodded. "Good, we're almost ready. I hope those Force-users are prepared, this will be a difficult siege. Contact Barl and tell him that we are beginning on the west side." Avery peeked out from the entrenchment, looking at the cannons. Yes, it seemed like it was time.

This was going to be a long fight, he could feel it, in his robotic chest. He looked to the cliff where Vel was waiting, there they were, barely visible. Avery raised a fist, clenching it. The officer raised his. Within seconds, a hail of heavy slugs came down on the blaster cannons, tearing through them, destroying a good few. The remaining cannons turned their barrels to the cliff and at that moment, it was time.

"Of the many levels!" roared Avery, along with all who could hear him.

They rushed the gate, the cannons only turning quick enough to take out some small groups, but they were cut off by the few far troopers on the ground, their anti-material rifles hitting them harder than a crashing transport. The cyborg felt it, deep inside, this would be a long battle.

"I think we should be direct, Master. Lives will be in danger the longer it takes for us to end this situation."

Travot regarded Brae Kenobi Brae Kenobi 's countenance carefully. He sensed that the knight had some layered thoughts on the matter - he wasn't entirely wrong either. The older Travot had become, the more he wished he knew more, and yet less. A second opinion could always provide enlightenment on a blind spot - and everyone had a blind spot somewhere. And that was something he wanted to mitigate the best as possible as a Jedi with allied lives at stake. Some regarded soldiers as simple pawns to expend, and while Travot regretted that he knew that some of their deaths would be inevitable - he knew it would happen - he knew that they were sentients worthy of receiving at least empathy from him.

"Keeping our priorities straight and narrow is good, and you are not wrong in that a quick and decisive victory will save lives...."

He turned to the Taris officer that reported to @Avery Regaili, "Go ahead and tell your boss to start the assault. We will leave the chaos in the city to his men and the mandalorian allies that have shown up. Our contingent will proceed to the monastery."

A proper military officer is probably better to direct the overall city strategy anyways. The response was not long in coming - the famed sharpshooters of Taris began to fire and he could hear the cries of soldiers coming from all around him. It raised the hair upon his skin, and for the first time in a long time, he remembered what it was like to fight alongside true flesh and blood - battle droids had filled the ranks of the Concord during the latter half of the Bryn'adul conflict. They were not nearly as inspiring or invigorating, though they were much more expendable. He shook his head and focused on the immediate, running forward alongside a Taris Shock Trooper. The dour men occasionally stopped to get a better firing position on an enemy target up ahead, and soon the jedi himself felt the danger of the battlefield.

His eyes flickered upon an old, quadrapedal battle droid as it scuttled from around a building, its head started to turn with a glaring red photoreceptor seemingly gazing down upon him. Travot drew his saber and activated its hilt, whipping the blade upward in a high guard, just in time to intercept the first of the blaster bolts from the enemy droid. He managed to deflect the first few to the ground in front of him, even as the soldiers around him fired upon it. The droid seemed to shake under the brunt of their fire. A particularly good shot from one of the Taris sniper's took out the droid's head, shattering it countless shards, causing it to go limp. As Travot ran near it, he slashed his saber's blade through the torso for good measure, nearly bisecting it. The droid's chassis leaned precariously to the side before the weight of its own armor snapped it, removing the threat from the Jedi and their Tarisian allies.

"All squadrons we've got bogies! Watch your.... And looks like we have some help. Karking good timing!" Vaux would quickly turn back into the fray, ready to fire on the enemy interceptors as they tries to run along with her squadrons. Meanwhile, the Cocordia's cannons came about and began to open fire on the much closer corvette. They didn't need to risk it. At the same time Cordie quickly began to open up a comms channel to Reef Home, a hologram of what the AI's odd partially armored appearing whenever they'd enter.

"Reef Home, this is Concordia. Nice to see some help. This corvette shouldn't take too much fire, and we'll be ready to assist however we can. Our Pikes are all running surface ops, but fighters and interceptors are launched."

He'd chuckle a little under his helmet, quickly beginning to move so he could could get into the fight and as soon as he could.
