"They're not typical snipers, are they?" - Avery Regailis

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Taris Far Troopers
  • Affiliation: The Silver Jedi Concord, Avery Regailis.
  • Classification: Long-range sniper unit.
  • Description: Like many troopers hailing from Taris, the far troopers can have rather violent or desensitized attitudes towards many things. Appearance-wise, they look a bit different compared to a shock trooper. Wearing metal faceplates over their dust masks, along with some different assortment of armor. The key difference is the weapon they carry

GENERAL COMBAT INFORMATION

Strengths

Good Eyes
- As it is one of the requirements to become a far trooper, they typically have great skill in sharpshooting. That, and their training with anti-material rifles, has led to some of the most efficient shots in corner of the galaxy.

Stronger Than They Look- Due to the massive weight of the rifles they carry, far troopers are much stockier than they first appear. If it isn't the slugthrower that kills you, it'll be a boot to the face.

Cloaking Troopers- equipped with Neti Field Cloaks, when far troopers are in position, the cloak will camouflage them. Although, the effectiveness of the cloak depends on the user.

Weaknesses

Slow Moving- Unlike most snipers, far troopers' movement is hampered by the weight of their rifles. Luckily for them, they'll be far away from most front lines.

Shots Must Count- Due to their weapon, they have very few shots to use, making them save their ammunition, almost obsessively.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Created as a part of the "Taris Militance Project, codenamed by Avery Regailis. The far troopers were meant to fulfill the long-range role in an army.

Taken from base shock troopers, these snipers are notable for their skill with their trade-mark weapon, the anti-material rifle. While most snipers are known for their ability to pick off enemy soldiers at range, far troopers are more akin to living artillery, punching holes in armored units like paper.

"Of the many levels!" - cry of the Taris Troopers

Just one thing before I move this to approved: Permissions. You linked an IC post that talks about resettling refugees and military training programs. I read it several times, and it doesn't mention equipment at all. You will need to get explicit permission (either by a post link or a Discord message screenshot) in order to use the Closed-Market equipment (namely the FarShot and the Neti Field Cloak).
