"That's the third officer I've seen in that squad this week. Why do the soldiers have to be so difficult?" - Avery Regailis

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Taris Troop Officers
  • Affiliation: The Silver Jedi Concord and Avery Regailis.
  • Classification: Officer
  • Description: At a distance, these officers are nigh indistinguishable from typical Taris Shock Troops, only when you get close do you see the obvious differences, (i.e. ornate clothing and armor, sheath, etc.) When interacting with a troop officer, you can expect a rather cold experience, more so than a typical trooper.
GENERAL COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Unit Size: Small, you can expect three or four of them in a squadron.
  • Unit Availability: Uncommon
  • Unit Experience: Veteran
  • Equipment: LPD-60 Thunderer Magnum Revolver, LPD-16 Pioneer Phase-Machete, Massif Blast Armor, LPD-12 Hydra Electronat Grenade.
  • Combat Function: Troop officers are often less of an officer and more like a handler due to the unpredictable and wild nature of Taris troopers, providing orders from high command. Despite their veteran status and strategic know-how, they are likely the first to die in a battle, due to their focus on the troops instead of the fight.
  • Force Abilities: N/A
Strengths

Cut And Shoot- These officers are particularly good at close-quarters combat, being trained in a style that implements their revolver into the mix of fighting. This form of fighting has come to be known as the 'cut and shoot' method.

No Prisoners- Taris officers have also been known to use rather unsafe methods in a fight. Upholding to a strict belief that they should never be taken alive, they'll activate an explosive charge underneath their breast plate when they feel they're close to being captured, typically running at the enemy while doing so.

Rigid Command- Taris officers follow orders to a T, giving them out just as punctually. They are strong leaders, despite their defensive habits.

Weaknesses

Conservative Leaders- Despite their own rough nature, Taris officers are also trained to keep typical Taris troopers from becoming too zealous. If put in command of soldiers they typically are, battles can be lost quickly, due to their focus on conserving lives.

Veterans Untrained- Many Taris officers are shock troopers who have survived many battles, and their experience as officers is always quite limited due to how quickly they deplete. While Taris Troop Officers themselves aren't very uncommon, finding an experienced one is difficult.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Created as the officer equivalent to many armies, the Taris Troop Officer is one of the many units a part of the 'Taris Militance Project', codenamed by Avery Regailis.

While many people on Taris are hardened criminals, some of them can have rather useful leading abilities. While every officer starts out in the shock troopers, they typically have some light command background, through illegal organizations or otherwise, which is hammered down when they've proved themselves capable.

While many Taris officers die quickly, it has led to some of the greatest military leaders to ever be on the planet.
