STANDARD FEATURES

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • X-02 'Apollo' Class Artificial Super Intelligence - Codename: Typhojem
    • To manage the colossal scale and complexity of The Darklight, a conventional command hierarchy proved insufficient. In response, the Sith Order integrated the X-02 Apollo-class ASI, codenamed Typhojem after the legendary Sith deity of entropy. This male-presenting, mask-faced AI models itself as a digital Sith Lord—equal parts logistical overseer and personal advisor. It seamlessly coordinates fleet movements, internal infrastructure, resource allocation, population regulation, and Force-aligned technologies aboard the vessel. Typhojem interacts directly with crew members via holographic projections, and can project aspects of his mind into sub-processors across the fleet for distributed control.
  • X-03b 'Tempestarii' Class Storm Generators
    • The Darklight, serving as the flagship of Sith expansion efforts, is outfitted with the most advanced weather manipulation suite ever fielded in a Sith vessel. The X-03b 'Tempestarii' Generators conjure vast artificial storm fronts capable of covering entire fleets in turbulent weather, ionizing atmospheres, and distorting sensor arrays. These storms mask incoming fleet movements, jam or scatter enemy sensors, and unleash anti-ship lightning to disable weaker targets. The result is a near-mythical arrival of the Sith fleet—heralded by tempest and shadow.
  • X-04 'Theia' Class Sensor System
    • Aiding the X-02 intelligence is the X-04 'Theia' Class Sensor Suite, named for its all-seeing capabilities. Linked directly to Typhojem, it allows The Darklightto perceive even the most obscure anomalies in space-time, trace cloaked vessels, and detect gravitic or hyperspatial distortions far beyond standard range. It is instrumental in strategic coordination, offering real-time battlefield data across light-minutes of distance. Theia functions as both a defensive and offensive asset, able to sniff out stealth incursions or hidden threats before they fully manifest.
  • X-05 'Nihil' Class Path Engine
    • At the heart of The Darklight's exploratory potential lies the X-05 'Nihil' Path Engine—an experimental navigational core integrated with Hermes-tier hyperdrive architecture. It permits the creation of custom hyperspace routes across even unstable sectors, allowing The Darklight and its fleet to bypass known lanes and avoid entropic choke points. These routes can be recorded, stored, and transmitted in real-time to the supporting fleet, allowing for coordinated mass transits that appear instantaneous and unpredictable to enemies.
  • X-06 'Janus' Class Traversal Drive
    • Equipped with twin Janus Crystals embedded in a redundant traversal core, The Darklight can perform exceptional feats of Force-assisted galactic projection. When given precise coordinates, the Janus Drive enables the vessel to project itself—and its fleet—across vast distances in moments, arriving at hyperlanes, planetary systems, or orbital capitals with terrifying speed. The system has become a strategic terror weapon in its own right, making The Darklight not just a recolonization ship, but a vector for the Sith's sudden, divine reappearance wherever they are least expected.
  • Hyperlane Seeder Array
    • Type: Hyperspace Stabilization System
    • Function: Gradually reweaves broken hyperlanes via a series of long-range gravimetric beacons and Force-based "anchor rites." Essential for re-establishing old routes.
  • Holophantic Vox-Pylon Network
    • Type: Psychotronic Broadcast System
    • Function: Projects Sith Eternalist doctrine across the system via sonic subliminals, dream-injection, and low-band Force broadcasting. Induces cultic reverence in the population.
  • Heart of Darkness Core
    • Type: Semi-sentient Mechu Deru Engine Core
    • Function: A bio-mechanical core powered by Force nexuses; it adapts its power output to nearby celestial Force alignments. Can "possess" systems to repel corruption or intrusion.
  • Cartographer's Crucible Matrix
  • Type: Quantum-Gnostic Navigation Core
  • Function: Contains massive navicomputational data and a network of Force-attuned minds (living or stored) to predict safe hyperlanes and identify ancient ones via Force-sensitive 'drift-mapping'.
  • Shadow Cloak Hull
  • Type: Limited Stealth System
  • Function: The outer hull incorporates Reflec coatings and passive shadowfield projection to reduce detection. Not full stealth—used to obscure exact scale and origin.
  • Svalinn Harmonization Shield Array
  • Type: Energy Shield System
Function: Modular multi-layered shields that can rotate frequency and polarity, optimized for sustained travel through anomalies and hyperlane turbulence rather than warfare.
  • The Obelisk Forge
    Type: Manufacturing Temple-Complex
Function: Prints Sith monuments, totems, and reliquaries using bio-ink, alchemized metals, and Force-saturated matter. Used for cultural domination of recolonized worlds.
  • Void Bastion Firewall (AI + Force Security Hybrid)
Type: Anti-intrusion and memory firewall system
Function: Protects internal systems against slicing, hostile AI incursions, and astral intrusion via AI-Force fusion. Uses memory-scrub zones and psionic loops to confuse attackers.
  • Dreamweaver Hibernation Chambers
    Type: Cryo-Neural Stasis Pods
Function: Maintains passengers in a stasis-like state with constant Sith indoctrination and dream-programming. Reduces long-term entropy and enhances ideological cohesion.

STRENGTHS
  • Artificial Superintelligence – Typhojem:
The X-02 Apollo-class ASI, codenamed Typhojem, enables seamless micro- and macro-level logistics, battlefield command, internal administration, and AI-assisted governance of both The Darklight and its supporting fleet. Its presence allows the ship to function as a fully autonomous Empire-in-miniature.
  • Hyperspace Mastery:
Between the X-05 'Nihil' Path Engine and X-06 'Janus' Traversal Drive, The Darklight is capable of creating and utilizing custom hyperspace lanes and performing near-instantaneous jumps to known coordinates. This makes it nearly impossible to anticipate or intercept during deployments.
  • Sensor & Stealth Supremacy:
The integration of the X-04 'Theia' Sensor System and the X-03b 'Tempestarii' Generators grants The Darklight unparalleled battlefield awareness while simultaneously shrouding its fleet in stormfronts that jam enemy sensors and communications.
  • Cultural and Ideological Warfare:
As a civilian super-capital designed for recolonization, The Darklight is equipped not only with manufacturing and logistical systems but also indoctrination centers, Force-based broadcasting infrastructure, and psychic dissemination engines that turn reclaimed worlds into Sith vassals without requiring open conquest.

WEAKNESSES
  • Non-Combat Primary Role:
The Darklight is not a warship. Despite advanced defensive and strategic systems, it is only lightly armed compared to a dreadnought or true battlecruiser. Its survivability depends heavily on its escort fleet and strategic positioning.
  • Massive Target Profile:
At over 20 kilometers in length, The Darklight cannot avoid attention. If its stealth systems are bypassed or its storms neutralized, it becomes an extremely obvious—and slow—target vulnerable to saturation fire or precision strikes.
  • Hyper-Specialization of Systems:
Its hyperlane-seeding, traversal, and cultural systems come at the cost of versatility. Should systems like the Janus Drive or Theia Sensor Suite be disabled, the ship loses much of its strategic utility and becomes a high-value liability.
  • Systemic Reliance on Typhojem:
The ASI controls nearly every function of the ship. While it increases efficiency to a godlike degree, it also centralizes risk. If Typhojem is disrupted, corrupted, or turned against its creators, The Darklight could become uncontrollable—or worse, weaponized against its own fleet.

DESCRIPTION
The Darklight—a station of mythic scale and ideological weight—was conceived in the wake of the Sundering, a galaxy-shattering event that fragmented once-stable hyperlanes and scattered the Sith Empire's grip over known space. In response to the existential need for reclamation, reconnection, and rebirth, the Sith Order commissioned the creation of a flagship unlike any before it: a non-combat, super-capital colony vessel designed not to conquer, but to reshape.

Developed under the codename Project Progenitor, the Darklight was constructed in orbit above a forbidden world whose name has been erased from all records, an effort overseen jointly by the Sith-Imperial Engineering Corps and the Sepulchral Order. Designed to serve as the heart of a new Age of Reclamation, it was intended not as a mobile fortress—but as a mobile civilization, bearing the symbols, structures, and spirit of the Sith into the wild fringes of space.

FUNCTION & MISSION PROFILE

The Darklight's primary purpose is recolonization and reestablishment. It leads an accompanying fleet—part military, part industrial, part ecclesiastical—into regions that were once Sith-controlled or lie beyond the galactic periphery. Each voyage serves to:

  • Reestablish or forge hyperlanes, using gravitational seeding technology.
  • Indoctrinate populations through soft power and Force-broadcasting.
  • Establish colonies governed by Sith ideology.
  • Coordinate mass movement, resource allocation, and culture-building.

Rather than brute force, it wages a subtler war: one of ideology, infrastructure, and inevitability.

SPECIAL SYSTEM OVERVIEW

Each of the ship's core systems represents a custom-engineered solution to the problems inherent in operating a megastructure of this scope:

  • X-02 'Apollo' ASI – Typhojem:
Named for the Sith god of entropy, this artificial superintelligence governs the ship's entire operational structure. It allows Darklight to function without the lag or chaos of mortal bureaucracy. Typhojem also serves as a personal assistant to Sith Lords and fleet commanders via holographic avatars. While immensely capable, this total reliance on a single AI represents a systemic vulnerability if compromised.
  • X-03b 'Tempestarii' Storm Generators:
These generators are capable of creating artificial weather systems in orbital or upper-atmospheric environments. By ionizing particles and agitating magnetic fields, they generate massive electrical storms that block or interfere with sensors, long-range scans, and targeting solutions—concealing fleet movements and making ambushes possible even for slower vessels.
  • X-04 'Theia' Sensor System:
An advanced multi-spectrum sensor suite fused directly into the Typhojem AI. Theia is optimized for anti-stealth detection and hyperspatial anomaly scanning. It enables preemptive identification of cloaked ships, phased entities, and gravitational disruptions—effectively countering stealth technologies, although extremely high-end Null Field cloaks may still penetrate it if undetected.
  • X-05 'Nihil' Path Engine:
A sophisticated hyper-navigation engine that allows the Darklight to generate custom micro-lanes across unstable sectors. Paths are then encoded and broadcast to escort ships for coordinated movement. While useful for bypassing blockades or collapsed routes, these lanes are fragile and easily disrupted by interdiction fields or gravitational warping.
  • X-06 'Janus' Traversal Drive:
A rare twin-crystal drive enabling nearly instantaneous galactic repositioning, limited only by the precision of destination coordinates. This system is highly dependent on accurate intel and Force alignment. If the destination is masked, cloaked, or warped, the traversal could fail—or worse, redirect the ship to an unintended location.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS & LIMITATIONS

  • Excels Against:
    • Decentralized resistance or post-collapse societies
    • Stealth and recon fleets (via Theia)
    • Strategic infrastructure disruption
    • Hyperlane reconstruction and regional projection of power
  • Limitations & Risks:
    • Poor direct combat capabilities compared to dreadnoughts
    • High vulnerability if storm generators or stealth systems are disabled
    • Extreme reliance on Typhojem for ship operation—compromise = total systemic failure
    • Difficult to repair in the field; requires specialized shipyards
    • Gigantic profile makes it hard to hide without preemptive stealth deployment

In essence, the Darklight is a weapon of civilization, not conquest. It is both harbinger and hammer of Sith resurgence. It carries with it an entire world's worth of ideology, population, technology, and ambition—wrapped in steel, sustained by the Dark Side, and directed by the will of the Order.

It is very cool, but I'm a bit confused. Is it an SSD (because you didn't link the 3 SO invasion what the faction won and only the Faction can be the manufacturer) or a simple unique Civilian ship (but in this case the ship cannot be more than 10km and it can't carry Starfighters)?

This is considered a civilian space station, and thus can not hold spaceships or armaments. This is not dissimilar to the Malsheem, or the examples listed in the template. Civilian space stations, which This serves the purpose of, are allowed larger than 10km.

Thank you for the clarification! In this case, make it clearer in the sub, because its description and wording is entirely that of a spaceship and not a space station. That's why I asked, because there is nothing to suggest that it is a space station.
