OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Jedi Columbarium
  • Classification: Jedi Temple
  • Location: Takodana
  • Affiliation: Silver Jedi/Jadeite
  • Accessibility: Located underground and under the lake near the ruins of Maz kanata's castle. The catacobs are honey combed with alcoves and chambers where urns of jedi ashes were brought and kept. Designed in two fold stages... with the exterior and the interior accessible from the anchorpoints which allow the temples main structures to be concealed and harder to disturb. The exterior however is importantly made and through use of dimensional engineering the area can be larger and built up more then it appears using solarite stone and a quasi sentient security system that makes the temples themselves able to react to the ones who are within shifting rooms or locking doorways if it reads darksiders and hostile intent.
  • Description: Chilly and dark the heavy doors of wood and metal that were set over the entrance of the catacombs are located in the oldest sections of Maz Kanata's castle. The ruins obscuring them under rock and rubble. Narrow stairs leading down several levels lined with torch sconces that spiral down to long pathways branching off from it. Each hall lined with Hijarna pillars two by two between which are racks of urns. Names worn from the carved plaques and vaulted ceilings that have overhangs for torches. One floor contains chambered tombs that have been created for jedi grandmasters who ran the order, another tombs for jedi who vanished and could never be found. Their names recorded but it is the body of an unknown jedi that resides there. The further under the lake it goes the more dark and cavernous the vaults of urns become, the deepest levels that have been carved for the first jedi, the padawans of the prime jedi and those who had survived the war that took place on Takodana long ago between the light and the dark that created the vergence in the force. Pathways to the lowest levels are partially collapsed with the only entrance accessible by aquatic means. Ancient sleuice gates that are used to bring lake water into underwater tunnels and provide clean water for the basins where the few entombed jedi from the earliest days were buried. Kyberite statues are carved in small alcoves and watch as stone guardians protect the chambers.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Tomb of the First: The ancient tombs of the first padawans, the first students of the prime jedi who were buried and their likenesses carved with detail into kyberite stones. Large akk dogs are carved curled at the feet of the jedi. Kyber sabers in their hands.

Black Vaults: The forbidden section of the Columbarium where only a select group of the attendants could access. Dark, twisted stairs leading down into chambers where massive snakes, spiders and creatures resides. The black vaults house darkside remains, fallen jedi, sith lords who could be recovered. Nullification resin to contain their malevolent energies, solari crystal to counter it and try to purify their remains.

Lake Center: An oddity at the center of the lake and accessed by a shallow foot bridge that can be unveiled with the force. A massive pyre that is used for cremating and honoring the jedi who are recovered and brought to the catacombs but their bodies are not yet passed on.

Clarity Gate: A gate designed at the top of the stairs going into the higher grounds. Designed to be blocked off through advanced shielding technologies controlled by the Rests collected stars... a quasi sentient spirit in the rest that keeps security measures going and works with the jedi. In this case enforcing the required meditation time and reflection that must go into the jedi to calm them down before entry to the upper areas where the masters and grandmaster are.

Kyber Arch: A reconstructed arch from the one on Coruscant that was made from the crystals of fallen jedi. A meditative technique meant to test those who were called to it.

Lecture Hall: A massive lecture hall allowing for classes to be taught by many of the jedi themselves. Those who need it can book it and the ones who want to get a class going quickly will have plenty of space as it is meant to be modular and shift to accommodate several classes at once.

Medical Hall: Advanced combination hospital, research center and lab as well as a healers hall. Able to give the jedi healers and doctors the edge over many institutions in the galaxy.

Confessional: Located in the center of the council chambers and able to be brought out for those who come before them. The confessionals weigh whoever is inside and many are crushed under the weight of their own self.

Jedi Temple Obstacle Course: Reconstructed from the main jedi temple a thing of beauty for shifting and changing. The jedi have made to it test and challenge even the grandmaster in terms of what it can do with various model droids and biot droids able to be used across it all.

Vaults: IN the main temple and hidden away, to secure dangerous artifacts in nullification resin, holocrons and anything else that might prove a danger to the jedi there. For security the temple guards are located clossest to the vaults to defend and protect them.

Cold Storage: Designed to hold jedi craft for them to use on missions and store ships recovered from enemy forces within a safer area.

Room of a Thousand Fountains: Reconstructed for the silver rest as a deep area od meditation and calmness that can wash over the ones within.

Jedi Anchorpoints: Designed to be the bridge point between the temple and the planet it is located on. The anchorpoints allow entry and exit from the temples and are in concealed locations.

Advanced Early Detection Systems: Connected to monitors across the planet, in orbit and using the Saotome Monitoring Stations as a means to map the system. Able to give them information as soon as it is alerted by the Saotome Planetary Defensive Network.

Solarite Nexi: Created from the vergence created in the temple and stoked by the living Silver Solarite Stone and Choushin Uneti that has been transplanted to the heart of the temple itself from the main source. It creates a living sensation within the temple giving it a life pulse that grows and extends to the perimeter of the stone.

SETTING INFORMATION
  • Nexus Name: Columbarium Vergence
  • Nexus Alignment: Light
  • Location: Varies
  • Affiliation: Silver Jedi
  • Size: Medium
  • Strength: Strong
  • Accessibility: Felt as soon as one enters the area of the Columbarian. THe proximity to the solarite stones and their construction enclosing the temple.
  • Description: Created from several factors, the living stone that has been used to rebuild and construct the temples... the choushin uneti tree that serves as the heart and the artificial intelligence that is able to be used by the temple. The nexi created are vergences that are in the locations, weaker or in the beginnings of their strength from use of the area by the jedi. With the living stone acting like a perimeter and the uneti working to stoke it from a small ember to a flame. The nexi isn't all powerful generally just fractionally stronger then it was before and able to enhance or lessen the strain of force users within it.
NEXUS EFFECTS
A powerful sensation that is oppressive to force users. A lightsided pressure that pushes on the lungs and body of those who are not within the lightside of the force due to the collected power of the jedi ashes that have been brought here.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Columbarium on Tokadana was built thousands of years prior to its last owner Maz Kanata taking up residence with a castle for several centuries. The history of it and from before it though was much different as it was built upon the site of an ancient battle between the jedi and the sith that created a vergence in the force. At least the initial one that attracted the jedi back to the site... the destruction making areas where they could build and carving stone from the mountains they managed to construct catacombs that went deep... then they flooded the area above expanding Lake Nymeve to conceal the construction of it. Within they entombed and brought the ashes of jedi after their pyres over the centuries. Recording the names of jedi as they died so that they might not be forgotten.

The initial visitors were the ones assigned to preform the duty but as the jedi order grew their job was largely forgotten and ignored. They still preformed it. The gathered ashes exponentially increasing the power of the vergence as it went from something there to an oppressive feeling. A force sensitive is generally given a weight upon their chest when in the presence of the vergence. The catacombs largely remained unexplored by outsiders as the jedi dug more and crealed more space throughout the generations. The destruction of the castle above by the first order serving more to hide the locations main entrance then expose it as in secret the church of the force continued to bring ashes to the site and its records were curated on tomes.

The centuries after the fall of the first and final orders saw what jedi there were being brought and the black vaults filled with what could be considered the dangerous ones for safekeeping. The works remaining in the background until the gulag plague where many more died and the caretakers were stranded on the planet overseeing the dangers. For the jedi who perished in the plague and battles they could find the way to a tomb to the fallen was created with tomes for recording their names when it was found out. If anything could be added about them they were given a place and a ceremony. While a central pyre was created for the jedi that could be recovered and had not passed on to become one with the force. Their bodies could be cremated and ashes interred.

Using what was learned in the repository from maps and scrolls the Jadeite on Ahch-to found out about the columbarium and sent an expedition team to explore, locate and confirm the site. Matsu Ike Matsu Ike along with Zak Dymo and Domino Domino were among some of the first to find it outside of the caretakers in a long time and entered via a sleuice gate in the lake thanks to the aquatic jedi's capabilities. Zak would go ff to explore the underwater channels for progs or shiny rocks or something cause history bored him but Matsu and Domino worked their way to the black vaults and some of the first tombs where mummified jedi had been set.

Hello again Matsu Ike Matsu Ike !

Looking over this, I have suggestions and clarification questions that will aid you in your journey towards approval!
  • I was able to locate some information regarding the I located the Canon Link which you mentioned missing. It is from the Journey to Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker: Force Collector. The Source link is here: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Force_Collector. I would simply suggest you replace the canon link with this – as this is the only mention of it, and presumed a Wookie article would be nothing more than a stub.
  • Your image credit is to Zak Dymo's collection – was this located by him or taken by him? Just wanted to clarify. If this was taken by him, mentioning that is his collection should suffice, however, if this is one he located – try locating the original author. I would suggest using the following as it appears to be the same if not very, very similar photos. MARIANO DE ANGELIS, https://divisare.com/projects/337828-mariano-de-angelis-anfiteatro-campano
Beyond that, great submission! Keep up the hard work and let me know when you're ready to proceed!
