Cyberjunk
Nestled in the cover of a valley and safely away from any major settlements, Blacksite Barbarous operated discretely. A facility used for the interrogation of captured Sith and other opposing forces, Barbarous was once under suspicion from the native government of Dorin for unauthorized operations. The Empire had swiftly quelled the arisen conflict, and Barbarous was left to operate in relative peace.
Following the invasion of Ilum, Blacksite Barbarous became home to prisoners of the Galactic Alliance. One such detainee was a young Jedi by the name of Nida Perl, a mild mannered healer with a noxious past of collaboration with the Sith as a Child of the Dark Lord. Before joining the Galactic Alliance, Nida served a sentence in Sunspot prison. Part of her probation deal included the administration of a subdermal tracking implant.
Though difficult to get a signal out, a passing ship picked up the ping and Nida's location was related to Yula Perl on Coruscant. A task force of roughly a dozen skilled Jedi and their allies has landed on Dorin and is currently striking at Blacksite Barbarous.

PRIOR TO LANDING
Ideally, the plan was to be covert. Select a few individuals with complementary skillsets, steal into the facility, grab Nida, then sneak back out. Unfortunately, the NJO didn't know exactly what they were dealing with. A heavily guarded military compound? An underground complex? A waystation in the middle of nowhere? Caution had been advised in terms of a wider task force; a group that would serve as distractive muscle, and a smaller team performing the extraction.
The shuttle carrying twenty or so Jedi had managed to evade Imperial scanners for now, thanks to an illegally modified sensor baffler and distortion emitter. Yula's attention had bounced back and forth between the window—the planet's surface was covered in a thick layer of fog—and the palm-size datapad in her hand. A single pale blue dot blinked on the display, unmoving. Nida's last location ping. It had been nearly a week since the signal had been received, and Yula had rushed to rouse an appropriate rescue force. Even for a completely voluntary operation, she'd been surprised and heartened at the amount of Alliance Jedi who'd answered the call. They weren't the only ones here—a handful of Jedi adjacent folk from her Outer Rim days had joined to lend a hand.
"Bastards better not have moved her," Yula muttered at the screen.
As the shuttle descended to Dorin's rocky surface, Yula stood. The Zeltron, eldest of the Perl children, had never been considered as a Jedi. She was a criminal, a shadowrunner, a rogue. Now, she stood at the precipce of a rescue mission with more than a handful of capable Jedi.
"We're here." She cleared her throat, voice rumbling through the recirculated air of the cabin. "Based on the topography maps, whatever facility we're dealing with is located in a valley. The surrounding hills will give us enough cover to figure out what we're dealing with. Once we're in, myself, Kyra, Thirdas and Aaran will find and extract Nida. We'll need everyone here to fight our way to her. Commlinks have been set to the same channel; use them to communicate with eachother."
"Thank you, really. You've all come here on your own accord and put your lives on the line for my sister." Her eyes shifted to Kyra. "Our sister." Then Thirdas. A brief sweep of the faces gathered saw a mix of old and new—Caltin, Valery, Veino, and Aaran to name only and a few—and those she'd been unfamiliar with. Maybe they knew Nida, or maybe they'd felt the call to aid one of their own. Whatever their reason, Yula was grateful. Exhaling sharply, her sobered features gained more vibrancy by way of an encouraging smile. "I won't forget this."
So far, they'd managed to blow a hole in the wall.
After gathering the necessary intel from their vantage point in the hills, The Jedi and their allies had descended onto the valley like hellions. Their elegant solution had culminated into cratering a small passage in the duracrete, giving them access to the greater facility. The Imperials had reacted sharply, laying down a hail of blaster fire and no doubt gathering immediate reinforcements. Yula's mind ran wild with all sorts of torture her sister was being subjected to inside the imposing walls, but she kept her head steady.
The moment her blade passed through the neck of a stormtrooper, she felt the tug of something familiar. Something etheral. A brief glance shared direction of Kyra and Thirdas would confirm it; Nida was present and alive.
The trooper's limp body collapsed against her, and she shrugged the corpse off before pressing forward. "Find a way to take out their comms." Normally she'd take point on scrambling communications, but today her goal was different. "I saw a receiver tower on the roof; hit that."
Lines of heavy plasma pelted the ground in front of her, causing Yula to sway in her advance before leaping back.
"And someone take care of those fething turrets!" She snarled, glaring proverbial daggers at the wall mounted guns.
