Born in the slums of Coruscant's forgotten levels during the (in)glorious reign of the One Sith, Boo was taken by a Sith alchemist by the name of Scorpius. Originally, the boy was to have been used as foodstock for the Sith's exotic and deadly garden, which included amphistaff polyps; however, by some twist of fate the amphistaff took a liking to the Pantoran waif and Boo wound up being kept as a slave tending the Sith's gardens. The bombing of Coruscant by the Galactic Alliance of the 860s ABY nearly killed the boy, before he was rescued by a doctor by the name of Irajah Ven.
Seeking an escape from the war that was ravaging the Core Worlds, Ven took the boy to Dosuum, where he was educated in the Imperial Junior Academies. However, the academy was a means for identifying Force Sensitive children and the two were separated, with both believing the other to be dead. Boo found himself in the Knights of Ren, learning the arts of infiltration, assassination, and espionage. His first assignment was to Bespin, where he tracked down and murdered a Resistance sympathizer. He would undertake more and more assignments from then on, though the public execution of Jedi prisoners on Bastion would be the act that would start shifting his moral compass against his masters.
Dispatched to infiltrate the Silver Jedi, Boo entered the Levantine Astronautical Academy. The close ties between the Levantines and Silvers would provide a means for the boy freely into Silver Jedi space, feeding information back to his masters that supported the invasion of Ziost and other strikes against the Jedi. This undercover work continued until agents aligned with the Primeval abducted a shuttle of Silver Jedi younglings. Openly defecting, Boo rescued the younglings and returned them to the Silver Rest before surrendering himself to

. He believed that he would be killed for his crimes against the Jedi, but Thurion's choice instead put the two of them on a rather odd trajectory.
Thurion's son, Théodred, was serving in the Iron Empire and his padawan, Kiriko, had left his service as a full-fledged Jedi knight. In the Beorni's place, Boo stepped in as Theo's apprentice. Over time, the two would bond with Boo becoming Theo's ward and, eventually, his son. When Theo married the shield-maiden, Ylva Heavenshield , the Pantoran joined them on Midvinter as the family settled there.
Over the next twenty years, Boo would experience life, love, and loss. A different man, but still bearing the scars of all that the Sith and the First Order wrought upon his childhood.
