golden sunset...

After finding themselves in the possession of a Crusier after the battle over Dac, Abaigeal and Elpsis are together once more. They had decided to get rid of the 'ill gotten gain' and sell it. Well if you have ill gotten gains might as well be in the form of coin. They had made contacted with a man running business out of Tash-Taral, a contact made through a friend of a friend, who knew someone so the information was .. 'good'.

"You sure your contact is 'honourable'? I have a bad feeling about this". Abaigeal turned to her friend seated in the co-pilot seat. "Hold onto your seat! we are about to come out of hyperspace".

If Abaigeal had a bad feeling, Elpsis's precog must be screaming at her, for as soon as they existed hyper the ship's alarms went off piercing the ears and flashing in the eyes. The Crusier began to shudder violently, "I thought I had entered correct co-ordinates to avoid the Oort cloud, damn".

The cruiser had entered the gravity well of the planet and began a steep nose dive planet side, fire licked around the hull obscuring vision through the main window, a loud explosion echoed through to the bridge and part of the ship fell off. Abaigeal's finger sped over the control, as did her eyes before she sat back to look at her friend. "Well .. we are still flying half a ship".

Abaigeal with Elpsis help, leveled off the ship and prepared for a crash landing.

Objectives:

It was supposed to be a simple transaction. The girls would get rid of a cruiser that was frankly a queen to maintain anyway, and acquire plenty of credits in the process. Truth be told, Elpsis had not wholly expected things to go smoothly. Most of her business deals resulted in her shooting someone.

But this was a whole different type of fethed up. "Honourable? No, not really. Plays me straight though," Elpsis said nonchalantly as the cruiser was about to drop out of hyperspace and the skeleton crew went about its business. Then she suddenly clutched her forehead as a feeling of intense pain washed over her like rainfall, a vision flashing inside her mind.

Oh, no, this was not good at all. Not by a long shot. Her precognition screamed like the roar of a rancor, but...too late. "Aba, we're...," she never got to finish that sentence because anything she might've wanted to say was drowned out by the alarm sirens ringing loudly. Entering the gravity well of the planet, the ship took a nose dive towards it. "You thought you'd typed in the right ones?!"

Explosions, fires, turbulences. Such was the force of those that Elpsis was tossed aside and landed hard against a console. Ouch. Her mind reeled and her head bloody hurt when she recovered and managed to shake herself out of her daze. Fires swept across the battered hull, pieces of debris raced past the damaged transparisteel window.

She rolled her eyes at Aba's joke. "Sio is so gonna kill us," she said grimly. It was small comfort that they managed to level off some sections of the ship were fires were raging. Strapping in her seat belt, she prepared for a crash landing. "Or revive us to kill us again then," she added after a moment. Then the cruiser impacted upon Tash-Taral, somewhere in the desert near ancient ruins, unleashing epic shockwaves across the land as it crashed...

Investigate Ruins

This world was hot and dry and as she moved hearing the sounds of the dangerous and cool tombs the twi'lek moved around in the robes adjusting them so he could lead some of the padawans around and navigate the tombs with the snorting of the jun-la's nostrils while she rode it through the dust as her golden saber bounced on her hip and the robe trailed behind her in the wind that was picking up. She could hear more of the sounds from the world and smell everything around her before the creature stopped scenting the air and snorted with its tongue wiping at some of the dust so its sensitive nose wasn't ruined or blocked as she listened for any creatures.

Location: In the wilderness, swiftly approaching the crash-site....
Objective: Definitely not 1. Nope. 6.

The black form was definitely not conducive to stealth on the much lighter colored sand of the desert. The massive predator swiftly covering ground in a manner only a quadrupedal hunter could. It felt... something.... faint... but familiar... as the fire tore the sky and crashed to earth.

How many times had the sun lifted and fallen on this world since the beast left its own crashed freighter? Ever last member of it's crew slain, though not from re-entry or impact, but from slashing and tearing. The beast hunted. Hunted for food. Hunted for survival. And hunted the next threat to it's survival. The escape from it's captors, and then in turn from those it felt in another lifetime could have been 'packmates', was arduous and exhausting. Time was a blur, and it had no way of knowing exactly how long it had been alone.

Cresting the last dune, the massive beast saw the devastation. There, in the massive metal monstrosity, was that.... sensation it felt. Familiarity. Why? It did not know. But, the beast felt it was a threat.... And threats needed to be addressed in one fashion. Snarling, the beast stalked closer, those intelligent, molten-gold colored eyes never ceasing its dance, watching carefully for whatever may be waiting for it. The hunter was determined, this was not it's turn to be hunted, no.

Visit Traders

Sasori and its groups had come to the world. A beautiful place at that while Noriko stood tall and at the ready with her black bangs hanging over parts of her face. Eyeliner on mostly applied with some charcoal to hide the red puffy sections while she secured her saber staff and the armored robes offering a look going towards meeting with some of the traders. Given the reclamation and salvage fivisions, hell the farming divisions for making agricultural developments on the world. She could get the preserve workers to check for the dangerous and local wildlife going over the different things while Matsu worked on the other planets organizing and setting up sections to build things. "Looks like a fun place."

Rescue Mission

1/20

George had received word of a downed cruiser on the planet of Tash-Taral. He was one of the closest to the site and was asked to investigate. He was piloting his red and black YT-2400 as he patrolled the outreaches of the Silver Sanctum territory. He made his final approach to the planet as he had dropped out of hyperspace quite a way away from the planet, their was tips passed along to avoid the Oort Cloud which apparently messed with all the systems.

As George bypassed the cloud he made his way to the surface. He scouted the desert looking for the downed cruiser. However it did not take him long. He saw the cruiser and set his ship down a couple of hundred yards away. A safe place to land.

Rescue Mission

1/20

As Kixi was piloting her personal starfighter, the Cǎlder mit Arkhan alongside her Jedi Master George O Rourke who was in his own YT-2400, Kixi along with George had received news of the downed cruiser on a planet called Tash-Tarel. The two Jedi were simply conducting their own exercise in terms of special manoeuvres for starfighters, when they had received the distress signal and promptly rushed out to investigate.

As they exited hyperspace, Kixi temporarily engaged her ship's cloaking device. The Oort Cloud would mess with ship systems, thus being cloaked it wouldn't matter. Her cloaking device was a Hibridium based device. Once engaged all systems within the ship would be blocked from the outside world by the cloak, meaning Kixi would have to use the Force to guide the ship as all the ship's navigational systems would be rendered useless.

"Don't worry Master, I'm still here and behind you. I'll de-cloak once we enter the planet's atmosphere."

Kixi did just that as they entered the atmosphere. She followed George down who would eventually locate the downed cruiser and land not too far away from it. Kixi would very much land alongside George's YT-2400. The two would then exit their ships and prepare themselves for the investigation of the downed cruiser.

As the Cruiser dug into the sand a large wall of it spewed up into the air, the ship came to a sudden halt fling Abaigeal forward in her seat. Although she is strapped into the harness it hurt like hell against her chest and neck. The time frame of the crashed seemed to take eternity. When she realised she was still alive, Abaigeal looked around for Elpsis, calling out to her. "You alright?", she asked hoping for a reply that would mean she is alive. There was no view to the outside, and the nose buried deep into the sand. Black toxic smoke began to pour into the bridge and the cracking of fire was close.

"Elpsis we have to get out now", the ship would not hold much longer and explode at any moment. This would be easier said then done.

Abaigeal climbed out of the harness and stood only to fall to the floor. It was now she noticed her leg, cut and bleeding from the upper thigh, and the brain now registered the pain. She let out a yell and hiss to cope with it, but fortunately for her the cut was not lethal but would need attending too and soon. She has no healing abilities so that was out, had to be conventional methods until she could get help. Quickly, Abaigeal ripped off her shirt leaving only her undergarment for modesty which mattered little considering the circumstances. With her strength, she ripped the shirt in two and strapped it to her leg to try and stem the bleeding.

Reaching up to the console she lifted herself off the floor with it's aid and rested against it, before testing her weight on the leg. Regardless she and Elpsis would get the hell out ...

Epic shockwaves were unleashed as the cruiser impacted. Massive clouds of sand and dust rose up into the air. Much like Aba, Elpsis was violently flung forward in her seat. Pain coursed through her body, she was thrown into a daze as things went dark for her.

Her head was spinning as if it was on a rollercoaster, her back felt like hell. Finally she managed to regain her senses, hearing a female voice. "Mum?" Evidently she was a bit slow and it took her a moment to realise that it was Aba, and not [member="Coryth Elaris"], who was speaking to her. Black toxic smoke was pouring into the bridge and Elpsis coughed violently as she inhaled it.

"Yeah, just peachey," she managed to get out between coughs. She fidgeted with the seat belt, but for some reason failed to undo before she got frustrated and simply telekinetically pulled it open. Managing to get to her feet, she stumbled before falling down onto the corpse of a dead crewer. Fortunately her face avoided making polite contact with his helmet.

Pain still shot through her. Blood was seeping from a wound in her forehead, a leg was bleeding. Her back protested against movement when she tried to rise. Much like Aba, Elpsis was no healer, despite being the daughter of a very powerful one. Piece of cloth served as an improvised bandage for her leg. She could cauterise it later.

Grabbing a breath mask that happened to be lying around, she quickly put it on before passing another for Aba, since there was nasty smoke everywhere. "We gotta get out. Find a spot where we can blow a hole through!" Further strategising was cut short by the cracking of fire. As alarm sirens blared so loudly that Elpsis' ears felt much abused, fires were sweeping across the bridge, getting closer and closer.

"Feth it. Aba, I'm throwing you." No sooner had she said this, than she drew upon the Force. Her head hurt like hell, she was baked in sweat and had trouble standing, but she managed and called upon her power to grip Aba and toss her over the flames. It was a very uncontrolled toss so there were no guarantees that Aba might land a bit painfully, but she would not get roasted. Moments later flames were sweeping towards Elpsis...

Tempest

Storm of the Force
Objective 1
1/20

“Ma’am we’re getting a distress signal,” Freya called.
In the dropship descending towards Tash-Taral’s surface Tempest pulled up the data. A prickling in the Force was confirmed when she saw who was on board.
“Silly girl,” Tempest muttered. She wasn’t sure what had caused Abi and Elpsis to crash land, but she decided to generally assign a bit of silent blame.

Still, one of Kerrigan’s adopted daughters and the pretty Ms Kallikora were far too nice to leave to their fate. And so, she nodded and called to the pilot.
“Bring us about, and head for these coordinates. Tell Sergeant Vaie we’ll meet up with her squad at the ruins in three hours.”

As they came over the dunes she could see the smoke rising from a burning ship. It was time for an audacious rescue!

Objective: Rescue Survivors
2/20

As Kixi and himself made their way to the surface they exited their respective ships. The dust was thick and visibility was low. "Lets go Kixi." He called out through the dust as he could sense where Kixi was.

As they made their way towards the wreckage George could begin to see more and more of the ship. Heat radiated off it as fires burnt all over the ship. "Look for the bridge, that is where we'll start." He said as they began searching the wreckage. George had no idea what he was walking into, who the survivors were or how many, if any there was. All they could do was hope as many people survived the accident as possible.

They began making their way around the wreckage looking and searching for the bridge, or an entrance that hadn't already been destroyed. Shortly after some walking they found the large window that lead to the bridge. Just as it came into view a loud scream was faintly heard from outside. "C'mon Kixi, we need to move fast." He said to his Padawan as they began moving with haste.

A minor explosion toward the back of the ship sent shock waves through the what remained of the structure. Anyone entering the ship would feel it or be directly effected and would need to get out fast.

"You are going to what?", the words all but left her lips before she felt herself lifted off the ground and flung through the air over the flames. Even though she would clear the flames the radiant heat was another thing, and she felt the singe of the heat on her bum as she passed over, and her hair caught fire. A loud yelled followed the flight path and Abaigeal sored with flaying legs and arms before hitting the floor of the ship hard. Her body ached with the impact, air pushed from her lungs and she is unable to stop herself of rolling, the wall had no trouble though. Thud of flesh and bone hitting the hard surface did little to be heard over the roaring fires.

Abaigeal pulled herself up once more holding her rib cage with one arm the other supported her body by leaning on the side of the ship. "I am alright!" she yelled. "I think, ouch .. what smells funny?". Secondly only to take to realise her hair was smoldering which she quickly pattered to put out.

"Elpsis! come on!" she yelled as her friends is still not out of danger.

Investigate Ruins

The first section of the ruins came into view while she stopped with the jun-la. All of the dust was settling down. She looked around at some of the things letting her lekku twitch a little, she could sense some of the creatures were here. It had her attention on a few of the things while she searched for plants or smaller animals sniffing the air before she moved her cloak out of the way revealing the golden hilted saber with engraved horses and rainbows on it. She looked over the walls of the ruins searching for script or something she could read working on it to get an idea what was inside while she blew at the script on the stone.

Visit Traders

Looking over some of the things the traders were offering as she stood there. Hands behind her back and bringing some attention to a few of the things while she held it up to inspect. "This is a pretty piece." The trader was looking at her and the atrisian offered raised eyebrows before she was setting it back down and walking with them towards some of the other stalls and a round table to work out a deal. She had brought her forearm datapad and could show them the different things offered as well as some of the products they would be able to make and offer based on things. She wanted to see what was in those ruins for the reclamation division.

A second faintly familiar presence had appeared. The beast emitted a low snarl. Suddenly, the beast felt pain, from inside the ship. The predator felt.... pleased....

A....ba???

The beast shook it's head, as if trying to shake an insect loose from inside it's ear. Another snarl was given.

Abaigeal???

The beasts vision cleared momentarily. Abaigeal was inside! Hurt! The beast roared and turned towards the hull of the craft. Claws digging into the hull of the ship, nearest where the beast felt the presence. Had this beast been just an average animal, the durasteel layers would have halted the beast. But under it's onslaught, fang and claw would rend the metal wide. Pulling and tearing, until an opening large enough for the massive beast to slip in was formed. Stalking low, below the smoke filling the halls, the beast searched.

Eventually the beasts eyes fell upon the familiar form of [member="Abaigeal E'ron"]. Should their eyes meet, the woman would likely find some.... familiarity.... with the large predators molten-gold looking eyes. The beast held a soft expression...

Kill.....

The beasts eyes narrowed, it's face contorting with a predatory snarl.

NO!!!

The beast shook it's head, batting at it's muzzle with a paw as it gave a feint spit-like sound. Looking quickly with an almost pleading like expression, the beast looked away, down the hall it came from, then back to the woman once more, before turning and loping away. Hopefully she, and whomever was following her, would follow. The beast would pause at the end of each corridor, before each turn, looking back and waiting to see if she was following, before tearing off again.

It knew it was only a matter of time before the killer attempted to resurface.... Hopefully the beast could get clear of the woman, and her friend, before that happened.....

Objective: Rescue Survivors
2/20

As Kixi followed George to the wreckage, they discovered a large window that would lead to the bridge.

"It appears that the bridge is buried deep under the ground, meaning they must've hit nose first and hard. I've seen this before Master. I suggest we prepare for the worse in terms of casualties."

Kixi spoke out loudly as the two entered the ship. The two would find that it wasn't very lit up inside and that sparks and small fires were everywhere and in all directions. The two would then have to move quickly if they were to find and rescue any survivors, as the situation most certainly appeared as it would worsen and become more dire by the passing minute.

Boom. Another minor explosion impacted upon the broken cruiser, causing shockwaves. The walls shook under the pressure and Elpsis stumbled, then the flames were upon her. Acric smoke filled the air, then a hot blast of air and fire seemed to swallow her wholesale.

The redhead coughed strongly, even with her breathing mask on. Perhaps it had been punctured or damaged in some way. Flames clung to her like a second skin, and she just...walked. Her clothes were smoking and the flames burnt through them, but she still walked.

Being a pyromancer meant that fire was...not very effective against her, for fire was her element. Wreathed in flames, her hair looked like a true firemane. Much of her power was unknown to her, but she seemed to absorb the heat on an instinctive level. To be sure, her technique was obviously imperfect but the flames did not seem to be gaining ground as they should. Flames burnt her clothes and heated her skin to a near intolerable level, but they did not fry her.

A small show of her pyromancy ability, though at this stage Elpsis did not waste any thought on it. Her body temperature was elevated to an absurd degree, her eyes glowed a bright crimson, but she stood and soon found Aba, when the woman was putting out her smouldering hair. "You ok? Let's get out of here." But then suddenly a massive beast clawed its way through the hull of the ship, for its claws and fangs possessed such strength that even durasteel could not withstand it.

"What the feth?" Something like fear gripped Elpsis as survival instincts kicked in. Tash-Taral was fething dangerous and filled with predators. Heat spread across her partially scorched hand as a ball of flame sprang to life, then as she was about to toss it her mind reeled under empathic backlash.

Kill.....

NO!!!

The beast was...talking to itself? Ouch. It hurt her head. Then suddenly the massive, feral cat had taken off. Then suddenly the ship was once again shaken by powerful tremors. Quickly Elpsis grabbed Aba. "Come on!"

In the Darkness there is Truth

Objective: Investigate old tombs. Banish a spirit.

"'Tis her tomb, yes. She came here...I have forgotten how much time had passed. By her power she made it rain, she cast down warlords and promised peace. Many called her the Blessed One." the wizened old crone with milky-white eyes had said, while she sat in a room in a half-buried Super Star Destroyer.

Once Intimidator had been a proud warship, a leviathan of space that delivered death in the name of a long-dead Empire. Now it was half-sunk in layers upon layers of sand. Its hull was showing the wear and tear of age, impact and violence. Never again would its mighty guns fire and set worlds ablaze as they had done so many centuries ago.

Sic transit gloria mundi. There was perhaps no better world to see the truth of these words than Tash-Taral. 'Defender of lies' - or alternately 'defended by lies'. The ancient Sith name was strangely fitting. "And she called herself the Jedi Queen," a cultured voice spoke with a slight Atrisian accent. "Amara. Eternity."

It seemed the crone had been lost in her recollection, and only now realised that there was someone else in the room. "Yes, yes, come closer, dear. My eyes are old and tired. She looks so much like you. She was young, full of spirit and grace...many fell for her. But then she turned...cruel. It happens any time you raise someone to the heavens and make them think they're a god."

She was always too idealistic for her own good, Sumiko thought to herself. "And in the end what she feared most was...losing her power, yes?" Which, eventually, of course she did.

"She scarred me," the crone traced a wrinkled hand across a badly burnt cheek. "Even her closest confidantes were not safe from her 'purification'. She said we were all tainted by...darkness. But we rose up. Many still loved her and refused to be the one to strike the mortal blow, but she was imprisoned in her own temple," the woman seemed to shudder.

"Her spirit still lingers on?"

"So the myths say. Some...the adventurous and the foolish have tried to explore it, scavenging for riches or out for revenge. Anyone who returns is...changed. Why do you dig in old sand, seek the ashes of the past? Is it power you are after? There is nothing to be learned from her, except death."

"My reasons are my own, you could call it a family matter."

Now suddenly it seemed like the crone, who until now had seemed far away in her mind, had become close and attentive. "You are one of them, are you not? The Dark Ones she fled. The ones who made her what she was. Then I curse you. You created the rivers of blood," she spat hatefully, then coughed strongly.

Sumiko remained calm, placid. "Waste what little energy you have on anger, if you like. She made her own choices. Her reign of terror was her folly. But, yes, I am one of them, and I shall put her to rest." Reaching into her pocket, she tossed a few coins before the woman, then departed.

"I feel the rottenness of that...abominable blade you wield. You're just like her...no worse..."

Let me taste her blood of that fossile, Souldrinker spoke into her mind, trying to flood it with visions of violence. The Atrisian tensed as she sought to stem the flood.

Be silent, spirit. I don't kill needlessly...and letting her rot like this is more of a punishment. "Probably, but then I was always the better Inquisitor." Sand crunched beneath her boots as she left. Hours later, she was ascending dunes of sand, past the cadavres of beasts that had thought her evil prey and paid the price. A harsh wind blew her away, throwing up sand in its path, but a bandanna covered her face against the grit. As she scanned the horizon with her macrobinoculars, she beheld the pyramid that Amara had claimed as her home, though Sumiko knew her by a different name. Vanity, vanity, all of this is vanity, Sumiko thought as she beheld a fallen obelisk.

Objective: Investigating Old Sith Tombs
Post: 1

As a nice change of pace, the Grandmaster decided to indulge himself a little by taking a group of padawans and younglings to go see the many ancient Sith crypts found on planet Tash-Taral. The thought of it all - exploring lost tombs and facing the unknown - reminded him of the old holovids he loved watching as a boy. Sometimes all he wanted was to finish his Jedi training so he could go off and find some buried treasure, but that was merely the mind of a child playing its part and as such he was soon reminded of his duties as a Jedi. Master Asha always did make sure he did not shirk the responsiblities that come with being Jedi, and so as the SSC shuttle now descended upon the world of Tash-Taral Thurion opened his eyes and found himself in the present again.

A youngling carefully tugged at his sleeve, grabbing his attention. "Master Thurion, do you think we'll find buried treasure down there?" The innocence of youth never ceased to amaze him, and always managed to put a smile on his face. "I'm sure we will, little one," he replied and ruffled the boy's hair, prompting a giggle from him. The group of younglings accompanying him were mostly little kids, as most older youths didn't find the idea of visiting 'boring old ruins' very exciting. For a child, however, it was an excuse to find some adventure! He'd learned that from [member="Théodred Heavenshield"] on more than a couple occasions.

"Alright, everyone - I want you all to stay together as a group when we get off the-- Hey!" As soon as the ramp lowered itself all the younglings rushed forth, almost trampling the Grandmaster beneath their tiny feet. As such, Thurion was the last to exit the shuttle. The little ones were all too busy being amazed at the strange world, so different from what they were used to on Voss. He decided to let them roam the immediate area for now, just so they could get to know the planet a bit more before they would visit some of the tombs. As such, Thurion simply found a rock and sat down, observing the younglings as they played in the sand. Sometimes children had to be allowed to be just that.

Objective 1
2/20

The gunship came in and hovered above the soft sand. Tempest and a pair of other Firemane troopers along with a medic got out with her.
“Proceed to the ruins and I’ll meet you there. I’ll call in a shuttle to either rejoin you or go out into orbit if there are medical emergencies.”

As Tempest headed down the sand dune she saw that the ship was in a bad way, nose buried and burning fiercely. She also sensed the presence of two other Force users nearby, Light signatures though location was indeterminate. Another rescue party?

“Coalition forces, this is Lieutenant Tempest, we’ve landed near the wreck. Elpsis, do you read me? What is your status?”

They’d be at the ship soon and hopefully able to help.
