HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Originally founded sometime before the Gulag Plague, at the time of the Second Imperial Civil War, the 908th Stormtrooper Division had remained loyal to the Emperor Roan Fel at the time of Darth Krayt's betrayal and staked a dogged defense against Krayt's forces upon their assault of Borosk until the 908th was killed down to the last man and effectively rendered extinct with the refusal of surrender by Captain Jared Cassel.

With many parallels taking shape between the Fel Empire-in-Exile and the New Imperial Order in their similar existiential struggles against Sith regimes, the newly reconstituted Stormtrooper Corps sought to draw on this legacy of defiance and rebellion in the favor of similar ideals by reforming the 908th Legion as one of the first formed toward the beginning stages of the Braxant Run Campaign during the New Imperial Order's war with the Sith Empire. (Third Imperial Civil War) Though even still it is a Legion gaining its numbers as it slowly builds itself back to full strength, only recently reformed out of strategic need with a layer of propaganda surrounding NIO's war with the Sith by parcelling together mostly green and inexperienced detachments of men and women left over from larger formations to make up the initial bulk of the 908th.
