DESCRIPTION
Ever since the dawn of Thyrsus’ martial culture, the people of that desert world have since adorned themselves in blessed oils; seeking to protect their flesh from the razor winds or invigorating their bodies for battle. Seeking to capture the spirit of those ancient unguents and bottle them with the advances of modern technology, the Golden Company liberally produced their own intoxicating variant of those venerable oils. Utilizing the blissful concoction of blended narcotics, the enigmatic formula saw those that drenched their flesh in the viscous solution refreshed, and free of fatigue. It was like chewing on a dozen stim tablets, but rather than flooding one's mind with synthetic adrenaline, their bodies would feel the rush.

However, with all narcotics, there was a downside. The Battle Oil was far from perfect, and its effects wouldn't last for very long; several hours at most. When these benefits faded, depending on the sentient that coated their flesh and their inherent resistances, they’d be left physically drained and wracked with muscle spasms. It was far from pleasant in hindsight, but the ability to enhance one’s self in combat fit perfectly into the Sun Guard’s style of lightning warfare.
