STRENGTHS
  • Mecho-organic vessel: It is fashioned after a ship the jedi encountered on the edge fo the galaxy. Able to absorb technology and incorporate it into its own self but their model is less fluid and more structured With a frame that it can grow and a hull that is able to absorb other ships into it.
    • Limits: Absorbing other ships and materials is a lengthy processing depending on the size. Much like a snake the OriRel will be still and become sluggish to react.
  • OriRel: Controlled by the spirit of an old jedi who when she was injured in battle didn't die but she couldn't do much. Instead offering herself as a way to help in jedi research to try and advance development. She is in many ways like Callista on the Eye of Palpatine with the notable exception that her body has been preserved in the ship.
  • Lightside Nexus: Constructed by the jedi and made from metal, organic and crystalline circuits. The ship itself is one large force nexus able to be mobile much like the ancient and dark Animiasma but its sentience allows it to reject and deter darksiders who manage to come aboard it.
  • Assimilation: OriRel as a whole can absorb and incorporate technology into itself as a way of repairing when it needs to heal but also as a means to build for what the others need. Absorbing technology that can upgrade it to work on ways to protect itself. It can adapt a majority but not everything to function within itself and still requires a power supply.
    • Limits: The ability for it to absorb it not instantaneous it requires time and it breaks down the materials. Materials to repair the biomass of the full and nourish the ship itself. Absorbing PC controlled ships is subject to their wishes, new technology requires a submission modification in the starship section.
  • Exotic Matter: The ethereal nature of the metal makes it near weightless despite being and looking dense within the pocket dimension of dream. In realspace it can be grasped and there is a steady supply able to be used by Krass. When experimenting with the extent the prototype and proof of concept design allowed her to try and create a model of the seeker that would be exclusive to the jedi themselves. Using the base model in her mind and then expanding it outwards at much strain but once it was in realspace she could use the idea of its highly modular design for upgrades to install a number of systems.
  • Choushin Class Uneti: The heart of the ship and a gift from the commonwealth for the jedi in their forging. Krass has one of the younger generation trees installed allowing the jedi to contact without communications other choushin class ships.
  • Seven Points: Throughout the ship, the amnioid fluid flows like a bloodstream throughout it which is duel edged. It it like a circulatory system that keeps the techno-organic systems of the ship flowing and feeds into the seedlings that are being grown for children ships. It shares a mitochondrial cell connecting the ships to the mother and are organelles that will take in nutrients then break them down and create energy rich molecules for the ship. The seven main points are points that can be accessed to connects with the ship so it is always running smoothly.
  • Bonding: The trees are finicky and require a jedi to bond with them locking out others. The duel nature of the starfighters sees them using a dwarfed tree intentionally small and within the control systems. The pilot bonds with it as the ship interior is grown.
  • Duel structure: Designed two fold, the first is the exterior exoskeletonthat gives the appearance of a standard starfighter. The interior itself usually measuring in the module of the ship itself is techno-organic with the tree. Encased in the framework and superstructure of the exoskeleton for protection.
    • Advanced Systems: Designed with several notable systems installed on the shipsto improve their capabilities and turn the jedi into a needed operational fighter.
    • Saotome Advanced Tracking System: Designed to give hyperspace tracking capabilities to the ships systems.
    • Advanced Whammy Drive: Whammy Drives create an interdicition pulse that can trip the safeties of ships hyperdrives stalling them. They can't keep a fleet from jumping but for a moment those within range of the pulse can be stalled.
    • Saotome Car'das: Designed for micro jumps with high levels of precision and capabilities.
    • Cater Phalanx: Designed to strengthen the shielding of a squadron. A small team can bunch together and project a shield over themselves for additional protection.
    • Kyberite: At the heart of the jedi fighter giving it a mini lightside nexus and aura that enhances the jedi ewithin and creates a small bubble making darkside influnece over the ships harder.
    • Laminanium: Designed like a Quellian ship the hull of the orbital platforms has a thin layer of the material to improve repairs and over time depending on the amount of damage it is able to patch itself up.
    • Advanced Hyperdrive: Designed with an experimental hyperdrive that is meant to give them some of the fastest flight times and utalizing a path engine and sub-hyperdrive upgrade.
  • Lightside Aura: The choushin design is meant to make sure this is a lightside vessel. it radiates the lightside of the force to repel darksiders from entering and most who touch the darkside feel sick when inside of the ship. When on the ground it makes a bubble of force energy with the light about ten meters. The kyber crystal heart of the ship lets it emanate the force.
  • Advanced hyperdrive: The ship is equipped with an advanced hyperdrive that uses a whammy upgrade to produce an interdiction field around it for a brief moment.
  • Experimental Speeds: The hyperdrive is highly experimental and designed to push the limits of the technology. With the force enhancement to the ship it creates a Hyper tunneling effect that accelerates the ship to speeds previously unseen but it requires substantial recharges before it is able to be utilized again.
WEAKNESSES
  • Organic Hull: The Hull is beneficial in many things, it can heal and repair itself but it also can with damage make the ship itself pass out from the pain of being attacked. There is no real test of how much pain the ship can take before it is disabled but its hull does not produce containment shields for hull breaches which can decompress quite explosively and damage it more.
  • Bio Mass: Repairing the ship is a detriment in many cases and one fo th reasons why it is not normally used for combat. It requires food to effectively repair itself. Absorbing technology and other ships it can prove dangerous when trying to nourish itself but there are large tendrils for grasping and finding food when it is in space.
  • Childlike: The spirit that is within the ship has somewhat devolved mentally to a more child like state from being alone for so long. She can operate the ship and work with the people but she likes to play games and doesn't understand a lot of the dangers of the galaxy.
  • Protective Qualities: Largely non protective in qualities as it doesn't fully adhere to the rules of physics. The metal looks dense and like it would be highly protective but it isn't.
  • Exotic Particles: Largely unknown and not seen in the galaxy before. It isn't invincible nor is it really strong but it reacts violently near dark and anti-matter which can disrupt and destroy it or even cause it to rupture and disintegrate.
  • Force Nullification: Composed of solidified energy from a pocket dimension. Within a force nullification field it becomes heavy. The molecular structure is super dense but able to skirt and not adhere to physics like gravity normally. Without the force to preform this it becomes almost impossibly heavy to lift.
  • Kyber crystals: Using the design of the finalizer and enhancing the power of the weapons with crystals gives the ships a secondary effect as the crystals used for weapons can be explosive if cracked.
  • Sleg: A powerful energy enhancer, the sleg absorbs and channels the excessive heat generated by the chassis of the speeder. Making them maintain a stronger level of power but also increases the chances that they could explode from the heat.
  • Hive Minded: A benefit in some ways allowing the ships to heal each others internal systems itself but it also means that they share pain. A strange effect is choushin ships can refuse to attack each other.
  • Organic: With the amnioid a skilled force user is able to properly stun and stop the functions in their tracks. As Satele Shan showed the fluid produced by the circuits can be manipulated and used to calm or disable the bodies for a time as long as there is concentration and knowledge of the fluid. Like a blood flow in the body it can be constricted and have build up of waste or gunk that damages the ship like a heart attack or even stroke.
  • Shared Pain: A danger and something felt from the onset and creation of them. The choushin share pain which can affect all of the ships from starfighters to capital ships.
  • Radiates the Lightside of the force like a beacon alerting others to its location.
  • Force Nullification: The ship is seeped in the lightside of the force and such it does not function well when the force is nullified. The choushin itself can be damaged or even die without the force over an extended period of time.
DESCRIPTION
Found by Sorel Crieff and Orihime Ike Orihime Ike in an ancient jedi research facility. The pair of them were searching and following the path presented by a holocron they discovered on Jakku in an old jedi battlecruiser. From there they went acros the galaxy learning and seeking the facility finding it on the ancient world in the outer rim near the edge of the galaxy. Going inside they found dozens of different experiments, designs and prototypes that would be worked on.

The ship when they discovered it presented something unique to the pair as it radiated with the lightside of the force to as it showed that an old jedi had joined withit. becoming part of the ship and presenting a history lesson about how they used to fight in the ancient sith wars but then was injured and eventually merged with the ship. A strangeness came with it but there was still more as the ship was not a weapon of war but it was made from experiments with an unknown being.

As they continued to explore the ship they learned more about it, they also were able to see that it can absorb technology and use it for itself. As a way to adapt and that was how the jedi themselves created it. Giving it a ship and the raw materials that it was able to use to grow to its size instead of just building it. The massive tendrils it protrudes are less for show and more for grabbing at and slowly absorbing technological and organic things in space. Like other ships or space wasps.

There were when Kami Meran Kami Meran came and joined them more work on the ship. Bringing different parts and to better help the OriRel there was the parts of a shipwomb brought in. Something big and improved for it.... well not improved but it did allow the ship to create its own personal ships growing them and using the materials it can grab with its tendrils to create new ships for shuttle craft and attack craft that can swarm around it but not leave the world as easily.

The style is much like the ships from Zenoma that fall apart when they get to far away from the OriRel itself and each ship bonds with its pilots imprinting upon them if they are force users. being protective of them and happy to see them when they visit the ship. Orihime and Sorel were there bonding with the ship itself as a part of what they wanted to be abl,e to do. The larger ships it can produce for them that are more independent and alive for personal use are created with a strong enough bond.

The Orirel has continued throughout the years to grow and change... the ship was always going to get bigger and larger and in some cases massive as it outgrew the Silver jedi who abandoned it. With Sorel exiled from the order after becoming the grandmaster Orihime mostly stayed to herself and the ship continued to bond with her. Eventually as more of Sasori's work with bioships came they were able to combine the Choushin with the Orirel and it improved the functionality of the ships creating a much more robust ship that started to take on a design she had never seen before.

Eventually though the ship returned remaining over Ahch-To until it was attacked and fleeing inwards towards the Atrisian commonwealth where it could exist and be largely left alone to continue to grow and change. It was able to grow its own ships still and its hangers were massive compared to how they had once been.

I'm very leery of the absorption capability and the fighter factory capability and the 1km tentacles and the antimatter pods. At this point I'm honestly not sure which of these are genuine problems, but they all need lots more detail and hard limits.

Also, I'm wondering why the titles of the dev threads seem so familiar. Have they been used before?
 
[member="Jorus Merrill"] the one thread is a large discovery thread for finding several pieces of technology. They get time and posts talking about them as and detail. Sorel and Orihime for instance u0on finding the ship communicate with it. In the other thread Sala'dine gives it several components so it is able to communicate and travel beyond its own system while mining stygium from the facility the ship is stored in. The launching thread is well the main requirements to get it going.

and for hard limits I figured there would need to be some, I reread the story with ship and since it is mostly there with little other references it's pods don't have real limits. it seemed to be able to make them as needed to fight. The droids it could make inside of itself didn't really have a limit either and learn from Luke and Leia's ship it absorbed how to play with jedi and their lightsabers. Given the real ship didn't have a shape and was just a blob in space with an interior and semi structure.

Its ability to absorb the ship was one of the reasons why it flew them back instead of releasing them. So if I go less powerful then the thing where on contact is starts absorbing something right away and more it can grab something which it then works to break down and absorb into itself with materials being easier and things like new technology requiring submissions mods if it wants to be added or changed.

The growing its own ships, I worked to set some limits with it in that they aren't hyperspace capable and will fall apart when out of range. (I would say a fair range before the ships start dying. Deep orbit so it is still within the gravity of a planet but not right on top of it maybe)

How many ships can this build, or rather, how big can the swarm get? Does this have any of a shipwomb's sun harvesting functions at all? And have you cashed in these dev threads previously?

no none of that, the shipwomb was the only thing I really could think of that grows ships. It would be more on par with Moya from Farscape. grows a ship at a time. Depending on the ship, the fighters would be easier and could be twins as opposed to the personal transports which were in their sub more like gifts you get with a bond. The fighters have a sub but for the moment I don't have the factory space to submit it.

For the threads the one main one discovering is partial. The sub that was using it for discovery as well is sitting in second chance and has been waiting for Spencer to review it here. The stygium was used for the polymer and the reactor testing portion used for the quintessence/sleg reactor (though now that has been changed to a secondary dev thread of equal length.

Remove the antimatter pods and I'll stamp this. It's a contact-disintegration weapon that's found literally nowhere in the galaxy except one very overpowered ship. If you want to sub your own version of the weapon separately, go ahead.
 
[member="Jorus Merrill"] fair enough edited to standard turbolasers and hmm I'll see about working on it. still have something like 200+ subs to cycle through and more dev threads to do but if it can be done. Might be something to see about.
