Farworlds Alliance
Lander hadn't worn his suit in a while. Not since they lost the Galactic Alliance. He hadn't played the role of representative for a long time. Then he brought his people to Refuge, and it was asked of him to represent the world as they forged ahead with some neighbors and allies in the construction of a new kind of union. Autonomy within it's boarders, based upon a charter that outlined the base rights of all sentient beings. A promise that each participant had the right to self governance, so long as they upheld the principles of their new Alliance.

Now he was asked to open up their first official discussion. The Jedi had graciously gifted the large conference room within the Dawnbreaker vessel to be used for the first meeting. Lander felt a flutter in his chest, sitting there in the frontmost seat at the head of the table. Even so, a senator did not falter. He knew what he had to do.

"Good evening to you all," he greeted. "And a quick thank-you to the Jedi Outcasts for providing one of their vessels for us on short notice for the first official meeting of this Assembly. I've kindly been asked to open our discussion today, not as a show of my authority but as a reinforcement of the autonomy members share within the purview of our new charter. I will do well to remind you that, should the matter be of importance, you will have this very same right. Before we begin, I will state to those present the rights afforded to all members, as well as the standards of civilization we are all asked to uphold. These standards, by virtue of being present in this room, have been read by and agreed to by each member in private;"

The Sacorrian took a moment to clear his throat.

"Any member who signs the charter agrees to uphold the outlined standards of decency and civilized behavior. None may hold membership in the Farworlds Alliance while maintaining, protecting, profiting from, or knowingly permitting: Sentient Slavery, Trafficking, Forced Labor, Debt Bondage, or the Sale of Captive Populations. This rule applies to any government, noble house, corporation, military authority, religious order, merchant guild, planetary official, or other power acting with the protection, permission, or deliberate blindness of a member world. Member worlds of the Farworlds Alliance agree to maintain peace, good faith, and lawful conduct between one another. Rivalries, disputes, trade conflicts, border tensions, and political grievances may be brought before the Farworlds Alliance Assembly for mediation, but membership does not protect acts of aggression, conquest, or abuse.

When a member world is accused of violating the Charter, the Farworlds Alliance shall first seek truth before punishment. An inquiry may be opened by the Farworlds Alliance Assembly, by petition from refugees, by request from a member world, or by evidence gathered through patrols, envoys, merchants, relief ships, investigators, or allied organizations. The accused world shall be given the opportunity to answer the charge before the Farworlds Alliance Assembly. A tribunal may be held where the accuser may present their claim, the accused may respond, evidence may be reviewed, and witnesses may be heard.

By agreeing to the charter, members of the Alliance retain the right to: Govern according to their own laws, customs and traditions, Retain their own rulers and systems of power, Maintain their own private defense forces, Settle internal affairs without outside interference unless they may violate the Charter, Bring disputes, threats, or grievances before the Farworlds Assembly, and Recieve the protections, aid, and shared benefits granted by membership."

Lander paused to take a sip of his water. He hadn't spoken so much in a while. This was really working his orator muscles. After that pause he would continue once more.

"Now, since this is our first Assembly, we ask for introductions," Lander stated. "We will be growing familiar with all of our peers in the coming days. Afterwards, I would invite those with immediate concerns for the priorities of our Alliance to speak on such matters here so we may settle on a course of action for the following days. I will begin: My name is Lander Stalwart, and I represent the sovereign world of Refuge as requested by my peers. I now open the floor to those who are ready to speak."

The first gathering of the Farworlds Alliance Assembly was now in session.

Refuge.

She remembered only a few months ago when she was helping the same former Alliance senator transform the world from an outworld, to a refugee haven.

She had arrived alongside Zoro Igala Zoro Igala and Gress D'ran Gress D'ran aboard the Dawnbreaker II, the sister ship of the venue of this event, with the intent of putting forward her own group as a part of this new alliance.

She hated orating, but she knew enough now how to do it well.

She stood, cleared her throat, and spoke.

"My name is Jedi Master Jonyna Si, Former Sentinel of Harmony of the New Jedi Order Council, Grandmaster of the Bokken Order, and Owner and CEO of Si Tech. I represent the Wild Space Rebellion as a leader for freedom across the galaxy, and Si Tech as a force of good for anyone who needs equipment or firepower in doing so."

Matthew stood when the floor opened, allowing the quiet scrape of his chair to pass before he spoke.

"I am Matthew of House Valendale, current Lord Protector of the planet Centerra. Centerra comes to this Alliance with resources, obligations, and scars."

His gaze moved across the gathered representatives, taking in those who had come to lend their voices to the First Assembly.
"We come prepared to sign, to serve, and to lend an ear. Let our allies speak their needs plainly, so that Centerra may answer where aid and support can be given."

Rin remained silent throughout most of the proceedings, her attention fixed on the various representatives gathered around the table. It was an unusual place for her to find herself. The room was filled with politicians, diplomats, leaders, and individuals responsible for entire populations. People spoke about governments, borders, rights, and responsibilities with the ease of those who had spent years navigating such things. Rin had spent most of her life trying to avoid institutions, not participate in them. Even now she wasn't entirely sure why she was here, only that she had been invited and curiosity had gotten the better of her.

As Lander spoke, she listened carefully. The Charter sounded good. More than good, honestly. Protections for the vulnerable. Accountability for those in power. Safeguards against slavery, exploitation, and abuse. They were the kind of principles she wished had existed when she was younger. The kind of promises people should make. Part of her wanted to be reassured simply hearing them spoken aloud.

Yet another part of her couldn't quite silence a familiar doubt.

By the time Lander opened the floor, Rin found herself staring at the polished surface of the table, fingers idly tracing patterns against the edge of her chair. She debated remaining silent. It would have been easier. Eventually, however, she let out a quiet breath and pushed herself to her feet.

"My name is Rin Aikawa."

The introduction felt awkward compared to those around her. There was no title attached to it. No office. No government. No world waiting for her report when the meeting ended.

"I don't represent a planet, a faction, or an organization. Honestly, I don't even know if I belong in a room like this. Most of the people here are responsible for worlds. I'm just... me."

A faint smile appeared for a moment before fading again.

"But while I was listening, something kept bothering me."

Her gaze moved around the room, lingering briefly on the assembled representatives before settling once more on Lander.

"Everything you've outlined sounds good. It sounds fair. If people actually uphold it, it could help a lot of people. The thing is, I've spent most of my life around systems that also sounded good on paper. Rules existed. Oversight existed. Procedures existed. The people running those systems probably believed in them too."

Her voice remained calm, though there was a weight behind it that came from experience rather than cynicism.

"The problem wasn't creating rules. The problem came when following those rules became inconvenient."

Rin folded her arms loosely across her chest, her expression thoughtful rather than confrontational.

"What happens when a member world violates the Charter, but they're powerful enough that nobody wants the consequences of confronting them? What happens when evidence exists, but acting on it threatens trade agreements, military partnerships, or political stability? What happens when doing the right thing becomes expensive?"

The room remained quiet as she continued.

"I'm not asking because I think this Alliance is doomed to fail. If anything, I hope it succeeds. The galaxy could use more places trying to be better than what came before. I guess I'm asking because every institution eventually reaches a moment where its principles are tested. Not when they're easy. When they're difficult."

Her eyes drifted briefly toward the viewport beyond the chamber before returning to the assembly.

"Most people don't lose faith when organizations make mistakes. They lose faith when organizations know something is wrong and choose not to act because acting would cost them something."

For the first time since standing, uncertainty crept into her voice.

"I want to believe in something like this. I really do. I think a lot of people probably want to. But if this Alliance wants trust, then eventually it's going to have to answer what happens when one of its own members becomes the problem. Because that's usually the moment when people find out whether principles actually matter or whether they're just words everyone agreed sounded nice."

With that, Rin lowered herself back into her seat. The question lingered in the air long after she stopped speaking, not because it had been asked with hostility, but because it came from someone who sounded as though she genuinely wanted the answer.

"An Alliance that cannot correct its own members is not an Alliance. It would be as a pretty moniker worn by those in power and nothing more. If this Assembly has any worth, it must be a place where even the smallest voice may ask the question the powerful would rather avoid."

Matthew's gaze moved across the chamber before settling on the young woman who had spoken up.

"There are those gathered here today who have already acted against powers others in the galaxy have deemed too formidable, too entrenched, or too inconvenient to oppose. We have moved against great evils the galaxy has learned to tolerate because challenging them carries a great price in blood."

His voice remained calm, but the words held their weight with a stern confidence in his words.

"My first true act as Lord Protector was sending our people to Dromund Kaas, to face the slavers of the Sith order and stand against the Kainite, knowing some of them may never return. There were lives in chains and too many had learned to look away from the ugly truth because it did not concern them personally."

He looked back to her, then to the Assembly briefly.

"I will not pretend such principles are easy to keep. They are not, and no one should mistake them for such. They become very real when they cost us something. We know the problem you speak of intimately. We know that rules mean little without the will to uphold them, or the fortitude to carry out our Duty when doing so comes at a price. We understand that too often silence becomes permission, and hesitation becomes shelter for the cruel.

If a member of this Alliance violates the Charter, then their banner must not protect them. Their wealth must not protect them. Their fleets, trade, title, friendships, or usefulness must not protect them. The allies gathered here must stand united in this, and hold one another accountable.

There must be inquiry, Record, Witness, and Consequence. And if Centerra is ever the one accused, then Centerra must answer as well, as so shall I.

If one of our own becomes the problem, then they must answer to the same Charter they signed. Their title cannot shield them, and their usefulness cannot excuse them. Their strength cannot make them untouchable."

He inclined his head toward Rin.

"You may not represent a planet, Miss Aikawa, but those are exactly the kinds of questions that belong here. Perhaps more than most. If this Assembly cannot bear to hear that from someone with no throne behind her, then it has already failed its first test. This Assembly is drawn together out of need: to answer where one world alone cannot, to stand where silence would leave the vulnerable abandoned, and to ensure that no member may place themselves above the Charter they have signed."

"Those are valid concerns, Miss Aikawa."

Jasper leaned in from his seat at the table.

"Jasper Kai'el, representative of the Jedi Outcasts," he introduced. "Pleasure to formally meet you all. If I may offer some context alongside the words of Lord Matthew, it's difficult for even more unified institutions to maintain order. The New Imperial Order emerged from the Sith Empire and laid waste to them. The Kainite maintains slaves because the Sith Order could not keep them from doing so. The Dark Empire managed to strike at the heart of the Galactic Alliance because a former senator let them in the front door. I do not mean that to say that all of this is hopeless, but I do want to express that even a clearly defined system of rule will have it's faults. This will instead be a test of the bonds we forge, and the testament of the beliefs that we hold."

The Jedi Master knew that concern well. After watching the democracy he fought and bled for crumble, he was left adrift and confused. This was something different they had here, and he knew exactly how to articulate it.

"The Farworlds Alliance has existed for a while now, just not in name," the man explained. "It was built when friendship was found in the heat of battle. The Jedi Outcasts, the Mandalorian warriors of Breshig, the legions of Centerra and the wayward souls of Refuge... we found a common enemy and called out to friends made in conflicts of yester-year. You are right that faith is lost when organizations fail to strike at the evil in their own heart. We are here because the powers that be failed us. Failed to act when they were out of line. To be part of this Alliance is to have the bravery to face that evil. If one of us is out of line, the rest of us will rise to face them no matter their strength. If everyone is out of line, one will rise alone and stand to the end. The truth of all states is that, ultimately, they rely on faith and belief to function."

"And I have faith in what has been made."

From there, only their action could make that a reality.

"Thank you for being here," he told her. "That's a commitment that few individuals have the strength to make. The impact of a single person may be lost on larger institutions, but I've seen it move planets."

Rin remained quiet as Matthew answered, her attention fixed on him more than his words at first. It was easy enough to promise accountability when nobody had accused you of anything. Easy enough to speak about principles when they were still theoretical. Yet he hadn't avoided the question. That was the part she kept coming back to. He could have redirected it. He could have wrapped it in enough political language to sound like an answer without actually giving one. Instead, he had addressed it directly and even placed himself beneath the same expectations he was asking everyone else to accept.

Part of her wanted to dismiss it immediately. Plenty of people had sounded sincere before. The scientists who raised her had believed what they were doing was necessary. Some of them had probably convinced themselves they were helping. The difference between sincerity and truth had always seemed much smaller than people liked to pretend. Most lies weren't spoken by villains lurking in dark rooms. Most lies were spoken by ordinary people who had found a way to live with them.

Still, she couldn't ignore the feeling that Matthew believed what he was saying. Whether he would still believe it when the cost became personal was another question entirely, but that wasn't something a conversation could answer. There were some things words simply weren't capable of proving. Time handled those questions better than speeches ever could.

Then Jasper spoke, and Rin found herself listening a little more carefully than she had intended. His explanation made more sense to her than the Charter itself. Maybe that was because she understood people better than institutions. The idea that this Alliance existed because individuals had fought beside one another felt real in a way official documents rarely did. Trust wasn't something written onto paper. It was earned slowly, usually through hardship, and sometimes lost just as quickly. She could understand friendship. She could understand loyalty. Governments and alliances felt far more abstract.

The uncomfortable part was realizing she wanted to believe him.

That realization settled heavily in her chest for reasons she didn't particularly enjoy examining. Hope had always been dangerous. It was the thing that made disappointment hurt in the first place. The friend she had lost back at the facility had been built almost entirely out of hope. They had spent years imagining a future neither of them had actually seen. A place they could escape to. A life they could build. The memory surfaced unexpectedly before she pushed it back down again.

Maybe that was why she struggled with things like this. Believing people meant giving them the ability to disappoint you. Trusting them meant accepting the possibility that they would fail. Every instinct she had developed over the years told her to keep some distance, to remain skeptical, and to wait until actions caught up with words before allowing herself to invest emotionally in any of it.

As her gaze drifted around the room, she found herself studying the people gathered there. Soldiers, politicians, Jedi, representatives. Most of them looked comfortable sitting at a table like this. They seemed to know where they belonged. They had causes, responsibilities, homes, and people depending on them. Rin still felt like she was figuring out what she was supposed to do next week, let alone the future of entire worlds.

The thought almost made her laugh.

Maybe that was why she had spoken up in the first place. Everyone else in the room seemed willing to discuss systems, trade agreements, governance, and diplomacy. Rin didn't know much about any of those things. What she did know was what it felt like when someone with power decided you weren't important enough to protect. She knew what happened when people looked away because helping was inconvenient. She knew what it felt like to place your trust in something and watch it fail.

Matthew and Jasper had given good answers. Better answers than she expected, honestly. That didn't mean she trusted them yet. Trust wasn't built in a single conversation. It wasn't built in a meeting, a speech, or a promise. It was built afterward, when people were given opportunities to betray their principles and chose not to.

Eventually, Rin shifted slightly in her seat and let out a quiet breath.

"I think that's what I wanted to hear."

Her eyes moved briefly toward Matthew before drifting back toward the table.

"Not that nobody here will ever fail. Just... that nobody seems to think they're above it. That matters more than I think people realize."

Her fingers loosely intertwined in her lap as she searched for the rest of her thoughts.

"I don't really know much about alliances or governments. Most of what I know comes from people, and people are complicated. I've seen good people make bad choices. I've seen people mean every promise they made and still break them later. Sometimes because they got scared. Sometimes because it became difficult. Sometimes because they convinced themselves there was a good reason."

A faint shrug followed.

"I guess that's why I asked. Not because I expected perfection. I don't think that exists. I just wanted to know what happens when things stop being easy."

Her gaze shifted toward Jasper.

"What you said about this existing before it had a name makes more sense to me than the Charter does. People choosing to stand beside each other when they don't have to—that's something I understand. Trust makes more sense to me than politics ever will."

For a moment she glanced around the room again before settling back into her chair.

"I hope you're both right. I really do. I hope this becomes everything you're saying it can be. I hope the next time somebody needs help, there are actually people willing to answer."

The corner of her mouth twitched into the faintest hint of a smile.

"But I'm not holding my breath."

There was no bitterness in the words. Only honesty.

"I think hope and trust are different things. Hope is easy. Trust takes time. So... I'd like to believe you're right. I'm just going to wait and see."

That felt fair. More than fair, honestly. If these people meant what they said, time would prove it. If they didn't, no amount of speeches would matter anyway.

When the floor opened up to him, he arose. Rather then his casual garb, or even his Jedi robes, he wore a dress uniform that few would openly recognize were it not for the emblems emblazoned on its sash and belt. It had been one of Braze Braze 's creations, tailored for the tall spacer and based off the uniform he wore at Anaxes all those years ago. To the regular people, it'd appear to just be a uniform, to the few fellow academy grads in the assembly, they'd see the cues.

"I am..." He paused for a moment. He loathed public speaking. Taking a breath and steeling him self, he continued. "Beltor Cyrus. I am a graduate of the Naval academy of Anaxes, traveling historian, and a new found friend to the Jedi Outcasts. I stand here also as the recently appointed head of the Free World's Naval Commission, with the goal of organizing and forming our admittable disparate voidborne forces in to a proper navy."

He took a moment, looking at Braze Braze and Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el . "I do share the opinions of the good Jedi that Miss Aikawa has valid concerns, and I share in their opinions that the only way we can prevent such abuses of power is through checks and balances."

"I wish I had more to contribute to this meeting, but I will be the first to admit that I am not a politician. I am a spacer, born and true, and was given this commission because I was not wanting of it, but deemed the most responsible to have it by the powers at be."

His gaze leveled at Rin Aikawa Rin Aikawa , and he found his stern expression softened a bit. "Ma'am. I understand your skepticism, and to it I only answer with something my own kin have known for generations: Evil only persists for as long as good men and women allow it to. I think it is the genuine aim of this assembly, and of the good men and women here, to allow it to persist no longer, not in our boarders."

He found him self with not much more to say, and chose to not make it more awkward. He gave a nod to the gathered Jedi masters, and to Matthew of Valendale Matthew of Valendale , Lord of Centerra, and sat back down.

"I am Kahlil Noble, representative of Niv Hani and all Epicanthix who would be free of my father. What you say is a good set of rules. An alliance built upon this charter is an Alliance that sounds good on paper indeed. The free people of Niv Hani will do what we can to make it something more, in a hopes that all the others here will do the same."

He took a seat amongst the others, smiling ever calm as the tall figure ever did. He was flanked by a pair of Epicanthix, both of whom were a good head taller than Kahlil.

"The time for waiting and seeing is long past. That was why the Alliance of old fell. Too many waiting and seeing that their trust wasn't wasted, letting the rot within fester and grow. We will help to make this new Alliance into what is trustworthy, wherever you will have us."

Quietly, he put on the mask, the sleek black visored piece of technology that was a symbol of his transformation into Ariel, from Connel. Slowly the voice echoed in his head as the mask clicked into place. Slowly his mind began to compartmentalize.
You will feel no remorse for those who would show none to you.
You will feel no fear beyond the fear of failing those behind you.
You will seek no reward beyond mission success.
You will feel no pain until death.
You are not wrath.
You are not vengeance.
You are the Light’s wraith.

There they were, among those gathered. The faces of others across the galaxy who had heard the call of alliances. Some they knew, others they did not, it did not matter right now. They listened quietly, in the shadows, not to be rude, or aloof but out of habit. They listened to the likes of Jonyna Si Jonyna Si , @Jasper Kai’el and Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble , all Jedi and individuals to who each had great respect, especially Connel. Each of them had their own reasons as to why they were here, but all of them shared one thing in common, the status quo had to change. The galaxy was on fire and they needed to get the water to put it out.

They did not interrupt anyone, none of them, there was no reason, they sat and took everything in. Some of you may know me, some of you may not. I am Connel Vanagor, I do not represent any faction, group or government, none of us do, we are here to represent ourselves and to pledge to help those who are in need the most and to stand with those who would stand against any kind or level of tyranny.

“I, A’Runda, son of Runda of the clan Rok’urkus and Warden of the Sky.” A’Runda would be representing those who seek safe travel amongst the stars and defy the petty tyrants of the galaxy’s hyperlanes. This far out in the unknown regions there were many obstacles that impeded safe travel, both natural and manufactured. Catching wind of a new alliance this far out in the Unknown Regions was going to need all the help it can get.

The organization that A’Runda himself hailed from was made up of members with a great deal of autonomy and even secrecy. The Tusken had only a vague idea of how many there really were but believed that more may like to see a prosperous collective here in the unknown regions.

“I have no qualms with the charter and agree with its terms. Even though this alliance is situated from the rest of the galaxy there will be no shortage of trials and tribulations I’m sure.” There were many reasons most Wardens did not journey this far west on the galactic map. Seeing to it that the people within The Alliances’s borders can live free and dignified lives is the first crucial step in a long march towards progress.

Despite his tribal background and upbringing A'Runda was schooled and studied in the subject of civics thanks to previous friends of his many, many rotations ago. So he wasn't entirely lost in a setting such as this.

Perhaps Rin did not know it, but she had a kindred spirit within the crowd of individuals gathered for the assembly. Rayia too, was attending the assembly regarding the formation of the Farworlds Alliance Charter as representative of...herself. Golden eyes widened for a moment, feeling the bristle that cascaded down her back and through her tail like a wave. A flickering specter of her past come to haunt her again. Once she could have claimed to such greatness as to represent a people, but that had been lost to her as of yet. She was a nothing- no one now. 'Yet I made peace with that. And gained much more than I lost,' Rayia thought to herself.

Case in point, the familiar shock of fiery, red hair that she locked onto as Rayia slipped her way through the crowd. Being able to sense movement was handy for not crashing into people. The petite Felacatian took her position at Jonyna's side and swept her gaze over the gathered folk. She did this not only because Rayia wished to lend credence to the Wild Space Rebellion's position, but also because she wasn't about to let Jonyna come to harm. The last thing this tenuous alliance needed was further strife within its infancy. Unfortunately, from her experience, it was moments just as these that seemed to attract trouble's eye.

Rayia's eyes paused on Kahlil as he went to speak, describing the root of the Alliance's fall as essentially a lack of impetus. Too much inaction that had bred a sense of ill-content that external actors had been able to take advantage of. Rayia frowned, pursing her lips. Her tail flicked with consternation. Rayia hadn't personally interacted with Khalil during her days with the Order, but his words hadn't rung true with her own experiences. As she remembered it, there was plenty of times when trust was acted upon. Directly, even. She bore the scars and medal to prove it.

Sucking a shallow breath through narrowed nostrils, Rayia attempted to smooth her expression into something resembling calm as she stepped forwards to speak. She kept her introduction short, delving directly to the heart of the matter and the question she wanted most answered. "Rayia. It would seem to me that we are all in agreement regarding the beneficial influence this Charter would bring...theoretically. I wish to know the concrete steps members will take in order to enact it. The concrete goals for this Alliance," Rayia said. Karabast, she would even settle for a to-do list at the moment.

The work kept piling up. Never mind that heft his new set of beskar'gam on his workbench, unfinished. He had told Jare'la to finished the soldering work for the armor, he had no idea what state it was going to be in when he got back. He knew he had to adjust that droid's programming, but he honestly couldn't bring himself to. This was important, he'd been pushing for something like this for year, though it sure as haran felt longer.

The amount of Jetii here did make him somewhat uncomfortable. Years of fighting alongside this group had taught him that unlike many others they didn't try to abuse their authority, but he saw faces that he was only familiar in passing with. The emotion that filled his mind made him want to reach for his sidearm, but conscious thought reminded him that was a less that conducive idea. Today was meant to gather them all together, whether that set off his paranoia in a million different ways or not.

"Shuklaar Kyrdol," he started, standing up from his seat for a moment, not sure if it would accept his armored bulk when he sat back down. "I represent the interests of Breshig War Forge Consolidated and Strill Securities," he said said, pausing for a moment. "We wouldn't shed our blood in the interest of this alliance and charter if we didn't believe in in what it states."

He was tempted to call out the hypocrisy of the Jetii talking about abuse of power but he stayed silent, "Though appreciated, before you bring up concerns, remember, the charter covers a number of issues that you've already brought up," he said, reminding everyone that the charter covered their concerns, switching into full businessman mode of speech rather than the plainer unapologetic manner he usually preferred.

He carefully scanned the group with the full array of optics and sensors systems in his beskar'gam in the privacy of his own buy'ce, looking for any signs of problems. He trusted a ferw of them, but a good few members of this group had not yet earned that privilege.

"Though appreciated, before you bring up concerns, remember, the charter covers a number of issues that you've already brought up,"

"Shuklaar is correct about the intricacies of the charter," Lander spoke. "If anyone would like to read more on the intricacies of the process we have in place, you all will find datapads with the charter stored in the corner. If there are any further suggestions, I would ask that you all bring them to me afterwards, and we can create a list for a follow-up assembly. In the meantime, with a good deal of introductions made, I'd like to shift gears to some of our immediate pressing issues."

Lander was still gonna have to get used to sharing the floor with Mandalorians directly. Negotiations with the Mandalorian Empire had been one thing. This? Well, after fighting the Mandalorian Enclave he never saw this in his future.

"In light of Dromund Kaas, we've certainly had an influx of Refugees coming from various places that I think is worth starting our discussion," he continued. "While space on Refuge is abundant, there are certainly technological limitations to construction at present given how rural it is. We've done our best to make as many individuals as comfortable as we can, but I believe the planning of some faster, more affordable solutions are in order. Especially with several ongoing strikes into Sith Space, I imagine that this is an issue we will need to tackle sooner rather than later."

It was at that moment that Rayia finished speaking when a cough came from a dark corner of the room. Throwing the hood of his worn green pocho back, Omen approached the table, only wearing a casual set of cargo pants and a casual camo T-shirt. "I have a start..." Slowly approaching the projection table, he plugged a file stick into a slot. Designs for small, self-contained settlements using designs he had found on the holoweb popped up. Built for green living, designed prefab home designs, Breshig defensive emplacements, and speeder ports for transportation. Most of the planning was aimed at promoting sustainable living for immigrants from Sith space who would eventually trickle in. "Right now, we have the political support to start this venture, but none of the infrastructure. Supposedly, millions, if not more people, are supposed to migrate here with just the shirt on their backs. Into the unknown regions... Where infrastructure is nonexistent..." It didn't sound like a plan for success.

Belatenly he offered his name and address. "And I'm Omen, another vagabond even though I know most of you around the table and I hope to know those who I don't." Omen didn't know why Braze and Jasper had invited him here... Maybe they wanted a Clone statue in the room for decoration. Then again, a young woman who he had never met before was here (Jedi...? Who knows?) so maybe he wasn't so out of place after all. He knew or atleast heard of most of the people in here and that was good enough for him to start hatching out a plan.

The Clone considered on as Shuklaar and others made their introduction, thinking what they already had in place, and, aside from the leaders of two whole planets being here in support of the movement, it wouldn't be enough to handle the population surge. He eventually started up again when he had everyones attention. "Even Respites got what... room for a few thousand at most in what's already there? Pretty soon, you are going to have tent cities popping up, and I don't think even the Jedi can keep hold of their noses through the force when the streets get covered in poop when there is nowhere to put it. Basically, these are designs and layouts (Thank the ones Aren D'Shade Aren D'Shade had some programs for this stuff) for self sufficent communties that can be put together in most locations. It wouldn't take care of all the problems like getting needed imports all the way out here but atleast the people would immediatly starve." That was straight-forward explation that echoed Lander Stalwart Lander Stalwart and his thoughts who the Clone nodded to in reconition. Atleast they were getting closer to a plan of action then they thought they were going to do tonight. Or atleast he had a plan to daydrink with Shuklaar Kyrdol Shuklaar Kyrdol as he pressed a glass bottle filled with a foamy substance to the elder Mandolarian statesmen under the table. That should help the Clone forget any blunder of his in this meeting after it ended.

Jonyna couldn't help but look around at those who now sat at the table with her.

Some were old faces. Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el and Shuklaar Kyrdol Shuklaar Kyrdol , both of which Jonyna was well familiar with at this point. Her predecessor, and a business contact she'd become well aware of. Rayia Si Rayia Si , her beloved daughter.

And Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble ...

She'd honestly thought she'd never see him again. The Nobles had made themselves scarce at the end of the Alliance, but she couldn't exactly blame them. She had done the same thing. Still, her eyes briefly lingered on Kahlil as a thought crossed her mind.

Once upon a time, she had wanted to be the perfect jedi that he wanted her to be. Now?

That wasn't true anymore. She wasn't interested in being the perfect jedi. She wasn't interested in trying to be something she's not. Her time in the Wild Space Rebellion had reminded her of what she is.

A Hunter.

Still, she couldn't fixate on him forever. Her eyes wandered more. A'Runda A'Runda , Connel Vanagor Connel Vanagor , Beltor "Bell" Cyrus Beltor "Bell" Cyrus . All she could call acquiesces, but not yet friends. People she would trust in a firefight, but not yet with the secrets of her life. The things she doesn't talk about.

And finally, Rin Aikawa Rin Aikawa . A new face.

A single sentence caught her ear.

"Hope is easy."
"Hope is a lot harder than you realize. The galaxy you were all born into, the galaxy that I came out of the ice into, it's always been more....chaotic than you realize. Territorial claims change by the month, sometimes the week. Planets are juggled between galactic governments like playthings. My planet's been traded between four governments in the last three years. But when I'm from? I grew up under twenty years of darkness. Under galactic monopoly, Imperial Rule from the edges of the Unknown Regions to The Tingle Arm. Hope struggles to burn in times like that." She paused, looking to the rest of the table. "But this? This is hope. This is what the galaxy needs right now. A coalition of people willing to stand up against the darkness. That's how light survives."

Braze was reviewing their logistics with his lawyer, Everette Clairmont Everette Clairmont , when Sergeant Omen Sergeant Omen raised a valid concern.

The young man stood, glancing to Rin Aikawa Rin Aikawa and back to Jonyna Si Jonyna Si .

"That's alright… Trust takes time. Trust can be broken easily. If you lose your Hope, you have nothing. This is a personal burden for us all… but I like to think Hope is that little spark in the dark no one else can take from you. Only your own heart can surrender it."

His gaze moved across the Assembly before he took a slow, heavy breath, then let it out with as much of his pent-up anxiety as he could release.

"That is what our enemies seek out and prey upon. They want us to believe there is no Hope, and they want us to lose trust in the very idea of it… Miss Jonyna Si Jonyna Si has been directly targeted by those who seek to make us believe all is lost. I can assure you, that is a lie, as much as they want us to believe it. No matter how hard they try to convince us there is nothing any of us can do, the truth remains otherwise."

Braze drew a soft breath, taking a moment to gather his thoughts on the topic. His mind returned, inevitably, to that dark seat of power they had dared to enter; a place built to make the galaxy believe resistance was impossible, that its masters were beyond reach, beyond consequence, and beyond loss.

Their mission had been as much a rescue as it had been a message to the galaxy at large.

They had gone there to help people, yes… but also to prove that all was not lost. Even against something so immense, so ancient, so seemingly absolute, there was still a hand that could reach into the dark and pull someone free.

"They want us to believe they are untouchable… but they aren't. For all of their bluster... for all their displays of power, they were forced to see their defenses weren't impenetrable. They were forced to see that we could lift souls from their grasp, and they were forced to see there are still powers in this galaxy that can make them suffer loss like anyone else. They simply couldn't stop us."

He said it with quiet confidence, certain in his own words on the matter.

"That said, Sergeant Omen Sergeant Omen raises valid concerns," Braze chirped.

"Mister Alex Stern Alex Stern and Outer Rim Resources have agreed to assist Star Bazaar: Emporium of Everything in establishing logistics out this way. The goal is to support reliable trade and relief infrastructure so we can continue addressing the refugee crisis with more than good intentions."

He glanced over the reports, tapping lightly at the listed routes and station assets.

"The Outer Rim Resources Orbital Trade Centers, Krinemonen Hydraworks, Balthazar Long-term Interstellar Settlement Stations, Zoro Laha ~ Si Tech's Mobile Foundry Stations, several Aegis Care Cruisers, and Lucky 7's Starport stations are forming the backbone of our logistics efforts. They give us staging points, storage, docking capacity, repair access, habitation support, medical response, protection, and places to move supplies through without relying on a single vulnerable corridor."

Braze looked back to the Assembly.

"From there, we have been working to open commercial outreach through The Exchange, built by Locke and Key Mechanics. The practical point of contact is The Exchange itself: its markets, warehouses, docking facilities, and trade offices."

He drew a soft breath, looking through the lists.

"With Mister Stern's help, we have already been able to begin procuring materials and modular housing, including Onder Pre-Fab Homes and Cloud Home Prefabs. If your contact, Sergeant Omen Sergeant Omen , ( Aren D'Shade Aren D'Shade ) is willing and able to assist with this effort, I would welcome their help. These are not meant to solve everything overnight, but they give us something immediate to support the refugee influxes we tend to gain: shelter, triage space, temporary housing, and the first foundations for more permanent settlements."

His expression softened, but his tone stayed practical as he worked through explaining how they were approaching the problem.

"So yes… Sergeant Omen is right to ask how we intend to support the people we rescue and keep things from becoming a sanitation issue. Compassion without logistics leaves people stranded, whilst logistics without compassion becomes another machine. We need both if this Alliance is going to mean anything, and if it is going to last long enough to help."

"For example, Centerra has chosen to assist this Alliance,"
Braze continued, pausing briefly to take a sip of water from his bottle.

"Most of us here have seen what happens when worlds stand alone against the Sith. Centerra, for example, is a very large, resource-rich world, and its government has chosen to help underwrite and support the Alliance's foundation where it can: funding, materials, construction aid, and further support for our logistics initiatives."

He took another sip of water before continuing.

"That support gives us refugee housing, supply depots, medical staging, and the first bones of a supply structure capable of sustaining those we rescue. That said, this leaves us with the issue of a bread basket."

"I have been working with several Jedi on Veridia to spearhead AgriCorps operations: farming, hydroponics, livestock, and food security. Combined with Spec Tech Innovations' Verdant Relief Agroplexes and future plans for the Verdant Relief Biome Skyhook, we have begun building a reliable food source for refugee worlds and relief stations."

He paused thinking about all the mind boggling amounst oif information to ensure he said most of what he could to help others in the assembly understand.

"That gives us local production, protected growing sites, and enough redundancy that one broken supply line does not become a famine… And on top of that, we have the wonderful and terrifying support of Strill Securities to help keep those supply lines protected."
