GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Organization Name: Trans-Galactic Partnership
  • Classification: Trade Bloc
  • Affiliation:
    • IGBC
    • Council of Governors
  • Organization Symbol: See above.
  • Description:
    • The Trans-Galactic Partnership is a trade bloc formed between corporations, governments, and organizations to help standardize trade within the galaxy. Founded as a response to the economic instability caused by Confederacy First, the TGP serves to help regulate galactic markets, prevent currency manipulation, protect intellectual property, environmental concerns, labor rights, and a slew of other issues. Pushing forward to help encourage galactic economic growth, the IGBC uses the TGP to help usher in more ethical and reasonable rules of engagement for participating organizations in the world of business and trade.
GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
  • Headquarters: Coruscant
  • Domain:
    • Just as GERF before it, the TGP does not directly claim dominion over any specific region of space - besides the metaphorical measure of claiming trade lanes both big and small. This expands to governmental bodies territories that allow for the TGP to operate within their borders, and additionally to corporations presence both in the holonet and in real space. TGP otherwise, only has its headquarters on Coruscant, and additional region branches found in numerous junction points across the galaxy - Brentaal IV, Junction, etc.

In addition to large partnerships, there are additional minor agreements given to freighting companies and solo operators to allow them better legal protection moving through trade lanes - at the 'cost' of operating under TGP protocol and rules. This can include limited working hours for employees to ensure safety, not partaking in the trade and transfer of slaves, and even doing business solely under the GSC.

Last, the TGP works heavily alongside GERF to better modernize smaller economies - industrializing them in a variety of ways ranging from automated farming procedures to more complex factory automation. Otherwise working alongside corporations of various sizes to help standardize their manufacturing process through the TGP's assets, allowing for those participating to expand their potential GDP through simple advisement.
  • Notable Assets:
    • While funded by the IGBC, TGP holds no personal facilities besides its branch offices and headquarters - though it does often find smaller planetary offices in large trade hubs or orbital stations around partnered planets. While TGP does not directly hold large assets, it can be considered a large and wealthy company due to the various assets under its name - despite running a 'paper loss' in the financial department.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy:
    • Similar to GERF, the TGP answers to the Chairmen of the IGBC in terms of accounting and tax details, however, they are not beholden to the will of the Chairmen post conception. Rather, the TGP answers to the beck and call of the Board of Governors - separate from that of GERFs. This Board of Governors works to establish rules to abide by in the galactic markets, be it working in favor of certain planets and their exports, helping to optimize imports to planets like Coruscant, or otherwise banning the sale of certain products; such as Slaves.

Past this, the TGP works not dissimilarly to customs agents. Hiring from participating planet populations, or government-approved personnel, the TGP works to monitor all imports and exports for partnered members to both protect them, and stop them from hurting others in the galaxy. From mid level managers operating planets to the dock workers in the system - the TGP works as both a trade agreement organization and a union for teamsters. While it does not have the same moral impact of a group like GERF, the TGP works through slower, more carefully crafted methods at galactic modernization and trade growth.
  • Membership:
    • With technical membership being listed well into the billions for participating teamsters and governmental bodies joining into the trade bloc, the actual status of managers within the company is much more in the thousands to millions. Having stations situated across innumerable planets, and most major trade lanes, the TGP has card carrying members in most space ports across the galaxy - be they third party free lancers, or state sanctioned customs agents working on behalf of both the participating goverment and the IGBC. Past this, they find additional membership in a wide variety of clientele.

Second, is the corporations. By using the TGP they can encourage trade between participating corporations and governments with little hassle for the various laws on both imports and exports. One standard for these companies means far less issue with both taxes and manufacturing concerns - and while the quality assurance is high, for those willing to abide by the rules they can find a powerful support network that leaves them all the better for their efforts.

Last, there are the massive governmental bodies that partake in the TGP. By using the trade bloc, they can closely tie themselves to the well being of a variety of other governments, helping to stop their economies from being hyper susceptible to foreign trade interference. Be this protection from politically inspired sanctions, war, or even massive economic changes to single markets - the TGP helps to put a buffer between them and foreign powers meddling. Additionally, this better allows protection for their internal industries to succeed without political interference destroying them through currency manipulation and the like.
  • Climate:
    • While the IGBC is often more ambitious with its expansion efforts, and the TGP is certainly something it intends to make a profit off of - the TGP itself is not actually beholden to the whims of the IGBC, only structure upon its will. The TGP operates under the efforts of neutrality, helping to encourage the growth of partners involved rather than take advantage of them - doing so with extreme fidelity to its transparency. Doing no more than serving as guidelines, along with various advisement assets and work teams, the TGP works under a set of rules - enforcing trade sanctions and the like only after strenuous diplomacy and talks about infractions regarded to the TGP's operating rule set.
  • Reputation:
    • The TGP is often well-received, as it serves as one of the most powerful of its kind for teamsters everywhere. Protection for them from pirates through the trade lane monitors implemented by participating members, better assisting them with the legal troubles of intergalactic trade, and even providing benefits through participating employers. For the common man, the TGP does wonders to bring them up in a world that often wants to beat them down. For corporations, it is much the same - with the help given to them in every aspect possible from the Trade Bloc.

For governments, it isn't often as clear. Because of the TGP's nature of regulated, protect trade; governments against participating members often see it as a conspiratorial attempt from the IGBC to grip their claws into more of the galaxy's economies. While this isn't necessarily true, for those governments that do partake or at least don't see an ill will to participating members, the TGP can better assist them in encouraging growth in both parties economies without directly forcing them to do anything; rather they simply advise until given a more direct order to intervene - only at the consent of the partaking body.
  • Curios:
    • For most, a holonet enabled card with their identification number are issued, while for others a simple badge showing the IGBC's symbol with the TGP addendum added on. This is put on clothes, work suits, and even painted into ships when they are more 'loyal' to the TGP as a whole, or otherwise partake directly in the TGP's efforts such as Jaeger's own freighters. Past this, there is no direct means to discern a member of the TGP - and often there is no need.
  • Rules:
    • There are a variety of rules the TGP follows, many of them to help standardize trade and make things easier, while others are for the more ethical questions brought about by the galactic markets. While some of these rules are considered 'hardline', many are soft and simply suggestions to the partaking members, devised through various projections and efforts implemented by the Governor's and AI operating various simulations.
      • Hardline Rules
        • All foreign trade will be done in the Galactic Standard Credit to help protect members from credit manipulation, along with easing the burden of standardizing trade discrepancies between nations.
          • Various minor transactional details necessary to facilitate equal trading between nations.
        • TGP will collect a small half percent (0.5%) fee on all imports and exports to provide for the overhead of the Courts, Employees, and benefits given by the TGP to operating clientele.
        • Certain products are barred from import or export by participating members - breaching these will incur an investigation, and upon conviction in the Trade Courts, a large list of sanctions will be put on the organization in question.
          • Banned Products:
            • Slaves
            • Weapons of Mass Destruction
              • Blackwing, Technovirus, Deathstars, etc.
            • Dangerous Force Artifacts
              • The Staff of Markos Ragnoras, Darkstaff, etc.
        • Participating companies will provide a minimum 12-hour workday limitation to workers, standardized pay based on local cost of living, full health & life insurance benefits, and both vacation leave of up to 5 weeks a year and ten months maternal and/or paternal leave for all employees. Breaching this will incur fines up to the requirements of the local Trade Court.
      • Suggestions
        • Standardization of factory implementation, district planning, and planetary infrastructure.
        • Allowing for neutral TGP Naval Fleets to monitor trade lanes in the partners territory.
        • Optimizing HoloNet protocol standards set in place by the IGBC and its subsidiaries.
        • Optimizing hyperlanes and their monitors to TGP standards.
        • Enforcing planetary orbital traffic laws in accordance with the TGP protocols, along with standardizing docking ports for galactic vessels.
        • Allowing TGP teamsters, customs agents, and trade protocols onto planets to better facilitate the standards necessary to abide by TGP protocols.
        • Implementing standardized anti-smuggler procedures for participating partners.
  • Goals:
    • The TGP works on a very basic premise - to standardize galactic trade, protect both small and large economies with as much effort as they can muster, and help raise the standard of living through participating members. Additionally, they hope to raise the work conditions of teamsters, protect corporate assets from cross galactic manipulation, and entire populations from the harsh reality of trade wars - all by making a large cohesive trade bloc that will better serve the masses.
MEMBERS

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Formed in 860ABY after years of destructive trade wars centered in the Core, the IGBC saw an opportunity to help quell rising market instability by introducing new fair trade practices between participating members - while also giving them an equal ground to discuss trade. Most notably after the introspective autarky movement of Confederacy First and its wide spreading implications, the Trans-Galactic Partnership was formed as a means to benefit nations who have otherwise felt victimized by other organisations.
In addition, with the rising instability of markets for galaxy wide teamsters and freighter companies, the IGBC saw fit to introduce a cheap union for independent contractors and large shipping companies alike. Together, the TGP allows these companies to better negotiate their fees and the nature of the trade they partake in - though not without cost. Including union dues, the TGP also forces teamsters and freighters to maintain a stellar record on both employee work conditions, and criminal records. Smugglers, or those with official charges from participating members, are barred from participating in the TGP for neutrality sake.
While the Trans-Galactic Partnership does as much as it can to help alleviate market tensions, it does so in a way that allows it to maintain a strong sense of neutrality in all matters. However, it does restrict certain forms of trade through its members - most notably slavery, weapons of mass destruction, and illegal force artifacts. This is done to help prevent participating members attempting to use the TGP's weight to further nefarious goals of selling cargo that is less than moral - leave alone the good reputation the TGP intends to maintain.
While there are a series of guidelines for those participating, the benefits are stellar with a magnificent track record, internal and independent auditors, and a wide variety of measures to ensure that the only ones that control the TGP are its partnered organizations, instead of its detractors. Giving better resilience to foreign sanctions, trade wars, and more - the TGP seeks to stabilize galactic markets in a way that hasn't been seen since the fall of the Republic during the sacking of Coruscant.

Very nice. Just a couple things:

If there are links to be had for Confederacy First, Brentaal IV, and Junction, please include them for ease of access.
